A trip to the vet...Er we mean doctor.(open to Sean-Nia-Vinny)

It had taken Silent almost half lunch to convince Nia to come with her.But after a hour of talking and a combination of fae magic and a touch of swamp wolf power. But in the end Silent had the smaller woman tossing her books in the back of the chevy and making herself comfy in the black leather passenger seat.

“Don’t worry about these guys. They are…Family. If anyone can help you out…Its gonna be sean is great.”

That warm blanket feel never faded. Silent only hoped the woman was ready to hear the news that she was a lycanthrope. So far the woman had been caught up in hurricane Silent.Which tended to be one wild fucking ride. The entire drive consisted of small talk and Silent trying to find out how much Nia knew about the not so natural world.Which turned out to be very little.

Once again Silent found herself blessing Vasha and the Capt for the GPS they had gotten her for her birthday.Silent would have been lost with out it. Because the clinic wasn’t all out in the open like the one in Salem had been..But it was comforting to know that once more the lycan clinic would be available to the world. Or at least Rome. It had been a live saver whenSilent had been near death with the silver poisionin thanks to Kyle. Or god she could name quite a few times Sean had been part of the staff that helped someone close to her if not herself. Pulling into the parking lot she would smile.

“Well darling. Were here.”

Once out Silent waited for Nia before heading up into the clinc Seans face was a welcomed site. He would be better at this then she was.And well…Silent found herself more nervous then possiably Nia herself.

Lunch had been an interesting affair, where she felt more relaxed than she had in the previous week since her attack. Come to think of it, since she could remember. Why she felt so compelled to trust these strangers with things she had not told anyone, she could not totally understand. They asked questions, where she was attacked, had she seen what or whom might have attacked her. She remembered clearly the full moon, claws that had slashed through her flesh, which now seemed to be whole again. Other than that, she could not recall having seen what it was that had placed her in the hospital.

That they asked about the Others, she was surprised, but then they had been such news for some time, since they had come out of hiding, that everyone was interested. Still she could not understand why the would ask her. Her upbringing had been very strict, her father had sequestered her and her mother in the highlands of Ireland, and kept they away from everything, till she had been practically sold into matrimony.
Such odd custom in this day and age, yet, it had happened. Luckily for Niav, her husband had turned out to be a good man. One that had educated her as her father had not permitted. An important architect, he had been commissioned here in Rome and she had happily accompanied him.

All these little details poured out of her mouth, even the death of her husband, the paranoid ramblings of her father before he disappeared, with her mother and finally her return to Ireland to see to her sick grandfather, who oddly had turned out to be right as rain. Nia suspected that the old windbag had lured her back, to keep her there, and maybe even the attack had been orchestrated by him, in an ill planned way to have family close at hand once again.

There was arguments back and forth about seeing a special doctor, Silent and her odd companion… Interesting fellow, sometimes it was hard not to stare at him…thought that she should get checked up because of the odd circumstances after her attack. And this doctor seemed to specialize in cases with similar traits. Of course at first she was reluctant, but it was as if she had been in the arms of her mother again, after she had taken a bad fall, everything would be ok. Talking with them was like suddenly she knew exactly what to do, they were right. Lets go! No better time like the present, before she changed her mind again.

Of course it was a bonus to ride in that beautiful Chevy. Laughing a bit, she helped Silent navigate, knowing the streets of Rome, like her own nonexistent back yard. Offering alternative routes when her gps might have had her stuck in the middle of after lunch traffic.

Now she was sitting on a stool waiting for someone to come and take some blood. That’s what the Capt. And  Silent had said. Just a bit of blood to see if anything was going on. Nia also wondered if blood test could show if someone was mentally unstable, because she could hear that young wolf like sound. It wasn’t exactly in her ear. It was like something she was picking up in the back of her throat, or like the beginnings of a headache, where it doesn’t really hurt, but you knew it was there, it was coming. Right now she just wanted some piece of mind. If they told her she was crazy, she would go happily to the nuthouse, despite her earlier words with Silent about it. As long as she knew what the hell was wrong with her.

Sitting there, now with her head clear for a while to think and be mostly quiet as she waited. Nia thought, this had been one hell of a day. That had been the most she had talked in years, to anyone. Watching Silent pace, made her smile, her nervous energy made her relax even further. On one of her rounds, Nia reached out and grabbed her hand, giving it a light squeeze.

" I'll be alrigh'. " Smiling up to her new friend. " Jus' knowin' will be a great relief, ye know. "

+The new clinic was hectic to say the least. The whole place was like an ant hill that someone had poked with a stick. But when Vinny had let him know Silent was bringing someone in he hustled to get everything in order and clear out some space in the lab to run a blood test. By the time Nia and Silent got there everything was in order. His sneakers squeaked on the linoleum floor as he came towards the possible lycan.+

"So we taking your kidneys today?"

+Snapping on gloves he prepped a needle and gave a grin to the pretty lady. With instruction to let out a long breath he plunged the needle into the crook of her arm right as she let the air out. Just like blowing out birthday candles. Sean took a few cc's of blood and grinned again.+

"See, that wasn't so bad. Just hang out in the waiting room and I'll be out to see you as soon as we get the tests cleared. And there's some vending machines down the hall and to the right."

+While the girls waited Sean gave the blood sample to the bio tech on duty and went back to his tasks until they called him over the loud speaker. He wasn't the doctor or even a lab tech, just a lowly nurse but since they were doing all this under the table anyway he figured they could slide on the protocol and let him deliver the news. Grabbing the clipboard and getting the word from the techie he went out to the hall to find Silent and her friend.+

+The short red headed fox was donning a particularly nice pair of pale green scrubs on that particular day. Looking dapper in his nursly best as he ran his fingers through his spikey bright red hair. After all, the woman was pretty and she was gonna be around a lot.+

"Well we got your test results back."

+He glanced from Silent to Nia trying to see any signal from Silent that he should go easy or leave anything out, but there was no sign from the Lupa so he just plunged in and explained the results of the blood test in the same clean cut and professional manner that any of the doctors would have before tucking the clip board under one arm and adding his own spin at the end.+

"It's not that bad. I promise. Besides since you know Silent you have the toughest part out of the way. Should I call Ash or do you have that part under control."

+Since Silent seemed in control of the informing the Ulfric part of things he lingered to chat for a bit and then excused himself to get back to work. If they were going to get set up anytime soon they needed to take care of a lot more things. Sean was just looking forward to the rats getting there. That was when the fun would really begin. If Malcolm would only wake up it would be a regular party.+

The young man that came along surprised her, she had expected someone older. But he was rather funny and charming, had her laughing as she sat on the chair and held her arm out to him, sleeve rolled up, her jacket on the back of her chair. Long tight curls pulled back out of her face in a ponytail. She watched wide eyed as the blood was pulled, half fascinated, half worried.  At the mention of the vending machines, she kind of laughed.

De the’ ‘ave kidney pie?” Responding to his humor, with her own.

She smiled even further as Silent went all mother hen, it was quite endearing really. It had been a long time since anyone worried for her. Her arm wrapped around Silent and they walked together to the waiting room. The clinic bustled with activity, and she wondered what they were all up too. In the mean time as they waited to keep distracted she asked Silent about her club. It was rather interesting to know it was in an insane asylum. All kind of Silent Hill images popped into her head, and yet, she would definitely have paid to go see it.

She was in the middle of a narrative of one of her taxi fares when the young looking doctor came along. Now she sat with her coat held tightly in her hand and a slightly blank expression on her face, as he gave her the test results. Silent stood beside her looking worried, waiting for a reaction, waves of reassurance and calm pulsing from her. Hazel eyes blinked a few times.

Lycanthropy…?” she breathed softly. It wasn’t that she didn’t know what it was, it was just a shock, it had not been something that crossed her mind in the least. Sean’s reassuring words at the end, made her automatically smile, before turning to Silent. “ What do I do now? “ She seemed like the person to ask, since Sean seemed to think that she was an asset. “ Am I going to be locked up?

She had only heard Sean’s description through the haze of her shock, and it as all muddled up in her mind with old movies of werewolves eating people. Horror crossing her face, before she felt that soft whining of the creature within. Almost in a dazed whisper, “ She don’ seem vicious…. “ But the attack rose up in her mind, and she clapped her palm over her mouth.

How do you deal with suddenly knowing you’re a creature of legend? She felt like she should have fainted or puked, but she did neither, thankfully. Nia was a practical woman, and she was fighting off the shock, pushing back her shoulders with determination and a sudden glint of a fight in her hazel eyes. This was just another thing she would survive, she told herself.

Silent would lean in near Sean kissing his cheek when he was close enough. Sean wasnt someone who was around her that much..So it was nice when he was close..He was just a ball of happiness.

"You guys are doing a great Job. Jess would be proud of this place. But I have a feeling that between you and vinny this will be way better then the one back home in Salem."

Silent would smile warmly. Her attention turning back to Nia as Sean left to get the blood tested. She didnt understand why she was nervous for the woman...Maybe it was cause she hoped the woman wouldnt run. That would suck...But Silent would of followed. Layed outside the womans place and followed her everymove until the woman was ready to talk about what she had become.

So when Nia started asking about the asylum Silent was happy to tell all about her newest baby. Silent had three loves..In this order. Ash. The pack. And her businesses. Even if at times it was hard to tell it went that way.But on and on Silent would go not leaving any detail left untold. It was a welcomed distraction for them both Sil was sure.

Those tri colored hues moving up to Sean when he came into the room and gave the results that only confirmed Silent already knew.Letting out a breath of relief Silent would watch Nia. Watching her every facial reaction. The way she shifted from side to side as Sean explained to the woman the situation at hand. Smiling some when she asked if she had to be locked away.

"No. We'd never let that happen"

Silent would hug the woman after sean left.

"Well first I need to call Ash and tell him. Then we go grab some steaks and head on over to the house so you can meet the rest of the pack. "

She could see the shock still running threw the womans face. Silent had to wounder if she felt the same way she one did. Memories of the starch white hospital room in new orleans came flooding in.Standing up she would toss the keys to Nia.

"Well kiddo. You get to drive. And Ill explain some of the things about your soon to be life.Stick with me kid and youll go far."

Slinking that tattooed arm around Nia's waist as the walked out she would give Ash a quick call telling him that it was confirmed and they would be home soon. The slipping into the passenger side for the first time..Because the only person other then herself to drive her Red Betty was Ash.As they shoped Silent told Nia about the changes that would be coming in the next few days not to mention the weeks to come. And on the ride home she would go into some of the pack that she would meet.

" Ash...Hes our ulfric. Hes the best thing since bourbon and strawberry cheesecake. Then theres Memphis our Freki.Youll like him. Hes the second to the ulfric and one of my favorite people. And Leni the Geri and my best friend. Then Vinny and Lexie our skoll and hati. Me of course who is the Lupa...Ummm God theres so many people. Oh and Murphy...Shes slightly new to the wolf world to.I promise everything is gonna be ok."

It had been a long time since she had been in company that she might call friend with enough time. In the two years she had been in Rome, since her husband’s death, Nia had retreated into herself. Going from work, to home without pause, except to go out to eat every so often. On those rare occasions, she had a table to herself, a book propped up, reading while she ate. The even fewer times she had been hit on, she promptly quashed it with withering looks and sharp words.

Now she sat in the waiting room with Silent, listening with true interest in her club. The fact that it was an asylum highly amused her, and all the people in Silent’s life kept her in rapt attention. Had it not been for this she might have completely panic’d with the news. Glad that she had not found this out on her own, so many things ran through her mind, chaining herself in some abandoned building on full moons, ending her life, though she had no idea how that worked with the rate of healing she had noticed, leaving civilization and taking up somewhere in the wilderness… Anything that would keep her away from innocent people…. But Silent was talking to her again, and again there was that warm pulse of reassurance, peace and sense of family. She was not going to have to deal with this alone….

Silent was a god send. She even offered her the keys to her beautiful car. The one thing that would keep Nia from going into a full out panic, she slipped into the driver’s seat, adjusting the seat, moving the mirrors, taking a feel for the pedals, checking how touchy the breaks and gas were. With practiced ease she slid the beautiful cherry red classic into traffic, winding through the full narrow streets like the professional driver that she was. With only the direction that Silent gave her.

Words floated around her head, along with street names and numbers. Ulfric; Rampa Cafferelli. Freki; Via di Monte Caprino. Geri; Via della Consolazione. Skoll, Hati; Via di San Giovanni Decollato, Via del Cerchi. Lupa; Via del Circo Massimo… Names and people were mixed together in her mind with every street she crossed toward the destination that Silent gave her. Yet she seemed completely relaxed behind the wheel. Tight curls flying in the wind, becoming an entangled mess, her expression neutral, though her eyes were slightly golden with a show of her intensity at keeping the shock at bay.

Finally she was pulling onto the right street, and her feminine fingers curled knuckle white, around the steering wheel. There was a tight knot in her stomach as the car finally came to an idle and stopped. Sliding the key out of the ignition, she passed it back to Silent. The seat, and mirrors all fixed back to their original positions before she opened the door and stepped out of the car, with a quick intake of breath.

No cages? “ Asked again, before nodding to herself, remembering Silent’s earlier reply and her renewed reassurance. The future seemed to loom frighteningly big before her… So many people, so many things she didn’t understand . To many thoughts crowding her brain. Hazel eyes, that were more golden at the moment, turned to where they had stopped, finally starting to take in the place, before she started to get lightheaded. Nia pressed her hand to her temple and gave a giggle, edged with hysteria. “ ye got any bourbon, whiskey… something tha’ might’ give ye a punch, Sil?… I be needn’ one sorely..
