Sitting at the counter of the Midnight Hookah Ash was trying to remember when he had last seen Angel Maynoldi. The wolf had left Hawaii long before the pack did because of family business that he and Mahina had needed to take care of. Ash's precise knowledge of the subject was being elusive however. Too much time had passed with too many things coming in between and leaving him with only the bare bones memory of how long it had been since Angel had left.
The cup of coffee he was drinking was a French Press version of his usual Turkish coffee. Basically it was a cup of bitter liquid with a consistency that was near that of mud, but he liked it that way. Something that made you sit up straight and pay attention to the morning. Angel was meeting him at the Hookah for breakfast, to give them a chance to catch up. As he waited for the mans arrival he looked over the paper, drank his coffee, and tried his very best to ignore the flirting going on between Vasha and Murphy. Whether Vasha went that way or not he had no idea, and frankly didn't want to know. Whatever mating ritual the two women were dancing around was distracting enough as it was.
Angel's scent preceeded him as he entered the quiet early morning Hookah, and Ash glanced back over his shoulder to let electric blue eyes look over the man who was still such a stranger to him. The two of them had been congenial in Hawaii and certainly Ash had considered Angel to be 'his' wolf, someone he would protect and care for in the only ways he knew how, but there had never been much intimate contact between them. Nothing that made him feel that he 'knew' Angel in any deep way. Apparently something that Ash was trying to change by spending more time with the other man this time around. Patting the stool next to him he waited for Angel to take a seat.
"Glad you could make it. You want something to drink, mate?" Lifting a hand he flagged down Murphy so she could come by and get Angel's drink order as well as dropping off a breakfast menu, cup of water, and a napkin rolled set of silverware. "I waited on ordering till you got here. Just in case you were hungry."
Ash was a breakfast eater. He started his days when the sun came up so a nice full stomach was a good way to begin things for him, though he knew that wasn't always the case for most people. People who actually valued sleep, and who saw eating before ten as a crime against their own intestinal systems. But huevos rancheros and a cup of coffee were his preferred way to welcome the dawn.
"I was hoping you might have some news. On Mahina, and what you've been up to. It's been awhile." How long awhile? He was still trying to calculate that in his head.

Angel was running a little late since he had slept a few more minutes but he was not going to stand up Ash. As he came into the Hookah he went straight to the stool Ash had waiting for him "something to drink" sure plus to eat would be the best thing right now with the hunger he had. Angel took the menu and things Murph set in front of him as he turned to his Ulfric.
+Mahina is good she sends her love and that she misses everyone+. Just thinking about his sister made him want to have her with him the distance between them was great but he had her in his heart where it really mattered. The time away was a long one indeed between Hawaii and Cali he was gone about a few months spending enough time with family and friends.
+ I was gone too long but had to leave things in order back in California with my father.+ Upon finding Mahina in Hawaii and meeting his mother as well he had to confront his dad on the past and the reasons why he never grew up with his mother.
+ Im back now and I hope to get back to the swing of things round' here maybe the police force is looking for new cops, have you heard anything?+ He asked Ash while looking down at his menu wondering what to order.
