BBQ! (Open to All Pack)
Permalink Closed

There were times when Elena got stir crazy if she had nothing to do. Or, close enough to 'nothing to do.' The last few days had been just such a time, and so, after pushing Vinny off of their bed (technically his bed, but she slept with him more often than not, unless there was a puppy pile or something) and promptly waking him up, Leni had gone about playing 'what can we possibly do that's new and exciting' with him. It hadn't taken long for them to figure things out. A barbecue! Delighted with this idea, she'd actually jumped down off the bed and hugged him tight before running off to a) put some clothes on and b) start planning.

Once she'd gotten dressed, Leni had made her way down to the kitchen where she grabbed a pen and a marker. She drew a stick figure table with stick figure people (with wolf ears, no less) and a stick figure version of a grill, before writing underneath it 'BBQ, tonight. Be there or else.' Although she was proud of the drawing, Vinny had laughed a little bit, at least until she pointed out that he was the lucky bear that got to be on grill duty. Add to that announcement a bat of her lashes, and Vinny had sobered up quickly enough, at least for a few minutes. Leni, herself, would go to the store and get all of the supplies that were needed.

Before she headed out, though, she noticed there was something wrong with the picture she had drawn. Scowling, she grabbed the marker again and fixed it -- adding a few more stick figures, some with bear-shaped ears and some with fox-shaped ears (which weren't all that different from wolf-shaped ears, but it was a matter of pride, you understand). When she heard the chuckling bear behind her, she stuck her tongue out at him, slapped the picture up onto the refrigerator, and then told him she'd be back in awhile.

It took her a relatively short time to find all of the possible food supplies that one might need at a barbecue. On her way back to the pack house, Leni even stopped at a music shop and picked up one of those Dance Mix party cd's. What the music on it was, exactly, she couldn't tell you, but she was bound and determined to have a little fun with this. Back home at the pack house, she put all of the food away, at least until it was time to start grilling things. She figured she'd give Vinny a little bit of time to get ready to man the grill, though if he reverted to what she fondly called 'bear time,' she'd have to nudge him a bit. No big. For the moment, she headed outside onto the patio and just enjoyed the fresh air.

It sounded like a parade of elephants coming down the stairs, somehow Loke had managed to wrangle not only Puppy but the pug and wolf upstairs and now she was damned if they fought and played anymore on her floor and tore up her shoes.   She was of course chasing the beasts down the stairs.  She couldn't help but laugh as she lept off the third step and landed in a crouch on the ground floor growling playfully at the two bigger "dogs".  With a click of her teeth she patted her thigh and was almost knocked over by them in their eagerness to lick and rub against her.

Rubbing at them with virgor and scratching the hard to reach places like just above the tail and behind ears she enjoyed herself immensely.  Standing she patted her thigh again.  "Come on you beasts, out you go."   Quickly making her way to the back door and pushing it open and letting them scamper outside to play for a bit before the sun got to hot for them.   Puppy would be needing a shave soon, simply because his fur was way to thick for this climate.  Tibetian Mastiff's where furry fluffy dogs and she knew the extra fur was probably a problem.   She was about to shut the door when she spotted Leni out in the back of the house.  Looking toward the kitchen she tilted her head then decided to follow the three barking and yipping creatures outside.

She grinned as she stolled up to Leni.  "Hope you don't mind, they'll exhast themselves in five minutes then you can have your peace and quiet back."  Hands found there way in the back pockets of her jeans.  "How you been?"  Loke had been absent of recent, not really absent of body but rather absent minded with her painting so she had been avoiding people for a while till she could clear the clutter out of her head.   Although as disturbing as it was, more often then not, she would find herself putting a pair of dark eyes into the backgrounds of pictures almost unaware she was doing it.  An attribute she would say was caused by the lovely touch of Kalika.

-As was typical when he woke on a weekend at the ripe old hour of noon o'clock he went downstairs and straight for the fridge. Dressed in pajama pants that had pictures of Star Wars characters on them he padded along with muffled yawns and disgruntled groans of protest at the brightness of the sun. Damn sun. Loose fists were used to rub at his eyes as he stumbled barefoot towards the fridge and jerked it open to grab the OJ and unscrew the lid on auto pilot.-

-Letting the fridge door shut he stood there and tipped up the bottle. Drinking right out of the container as he blinked away the fog and let his eyes focus on the world around him. What his eyes came to focus on was the picture on the fridge. Sean lowered the container of OJ and wiped his mouth off on the back of his arm as he stared at the picture trying to figure the stick figures out for a moment. Then his lips curled up in a smile.-

"Lunch."

-Yes, that much had gotten through. Stepping past the fridge he headed for the doors to the backyard and could see Leni and Loke through the glass. Their lips were moving but Sean couldn't hear them but he imagined the conversation went something like this:

Loke: "Ah yes. Sean is so rugged and manly. And his comic book collection is SO BIG!"
Leni: "I know. It's HUGE. Vinny's isn't nearly as big."
Loke: "Whose is?"
Leni: <sigh?> "I know."

Yup, he was sure it was something just like that. Grinning from ear to ear at the joke in his own head he slid open the door to the back yard and stepped into the opening.-

"When's the barbecue?"

-He was still holding the bottle of OJ in his hand and when he saw Leni look at it he ducked his head almost on instinct. Yeah, he should have gotten a glass. Getting the stats on the situation he nodded.-

"I'll just get a glass. And I'll go get Lexie and see if she wants to help set up."

-When Elena had left for the store he examined her picture for a moment longer as his fingers scratched at the fullness of his thick beard. It was a damn good thing he wasn't with her for his artistic ability cause the wolves in the picture kind of looked like cats, and the bears looked like mice, and he was pretty sure that one fox was a pig. Tilting his head to one side he squinted and tried to see if like that it would all make more sense. Instead though the image just seemed to swim in front of his eyes and blur in front of him. With a final shrug of his shoulders he turned away from the fridge with a still cold beer in hand. Breakfast of Champions.-

-Stomping upstairs he stopped and gave a knock at a couple doors he passed that he could smell people inside of. Hell, it was almost noon so if they were still sleeping then he figured it was their own damn faults if they got a rude awakening as he made the announcement "Leni's throwing a Bar-BQ at noon. Be there." It wasn't often Leni got the idea to do something like this and he wanted to help make sure it was a success. With all the shit the pack had going on lately they needed a little fun time. Just like the old days.-

-After announcing up the hall until he got to his room he stripped down once inside his own room. The bed looked cozy and he would have loved to climb in and take a big bear nap, but he headed for the shower instead. Scrubbing off under the warm water he was drying off his long hair when he heard Elena downstairs. Smiling to himself he rubbed his beard down with the thick towel to dry it somewhat before leaning close to the mirror and eyeing the health hazard as he ran fingers through it.-

-No one wanted one of his long curlies in their food. So since Leni had asked him to cook.....he crouched down and opened the cabinet beneath the sink. Hands searched noisily through all his shit to find a pair of long abandoned clippers at the back of the cabinet. With a whirr and a sigh he began to cut off that beard that had grown to mid chest.-

-By the time he made it downstairs dressed in board shorts for the pool he could see Sean, Loke, and Leni out front. Once again he eyed the picture on the fridge with a bowl full of jelly laugh and a scratch to that rather round paunch of a belly before opening the fridge and grabbing himself another beer. Drink in hand he grabbed the apron off the hook and headed outside to join the others. Sean was coming back in as Vinny headed out and he rubbed the short fox's red hair roughly as he passed.-

"Coming back?"

-Accepting the fox's assurance he'd be right back Vinny went outside and gave a long stretch of those colorfully inked arms overhead as his chubby belly stretched. Not mentioning his now sheered short beard he just went about his business. Setting his beer down on the table he leaned in and kissed Elena on the cheek then stood to loop the apron over his neck and tried to tie it behind his back. The front of the white apron had black writing that said "FUCK ME I'M THE COOK!" and Vinny was pretty sure Ash hadn't bought it. Maybe it had been a gift from Milo. Or maybe Memphis? Who knew.-

"So Loke, you ready for some Barbecue? Where's that fellah of yours?"

-West and Vinny didn't know one another....at all. But you would have to be deaf dumb and blind not to know that Loke and West were doing something behind closed doors. Vinny had worked in the porn industry for years. He knew coitus when he heard it through a wall in the middle of the night. Tying off the apron he leaned back to get his beer and stole another kiss to Elena's cheek and then headed over to the mammoth and oh so manly grill to get things fired up and ready for the big event.-

-:Between following Evie and keeping an eye on Bianca Memphis was just frickin exhausted. Young girls could really move. They were always talking and going somewhere. It was enough to make your head spin. Personally he didn't understand the mid life crisis urge to bone young things at all. They were likely to give an old fart like him a heart attack. Just following them around was likely to kill him  before the end of the week. He'd snuck into Malcolms room at some point in the morning cause the quiet in there was nice for a change. Wasn't like Malcolm was a big talker. And since he figured keeping an eye on Malcolm was just as good as keeping an eye on Bianca he figured he was still doing his job.:-

-:Ryver was sleeping in the chair beside him and Memphis was happy to let the boy snooze while he just sat and enjoyed the silence. That is until he heard Vinnys stomping and all the voices. Getting up with a slight groan and heading to the door he cracked it open and caught Sean who was apparently on his way upstairs to get Lexie.:-

"Hey Seany. What's going down?"

-:With word of the party sparking his interest Memphis's grizzled features broke into a smile that hadn't been seen on his face in awhile. Barbecue meant margaritas. His specialty. And how long had it been since he'd made a batch of Memphis's finest 'ritas? Since Hawaii he would bet. Going to Ryvers chair he leaned over the boy and gave him a shake that was meant to be light but was probably a bit too rough.:-

"Come on boy. Give the watch duty a rest and get some sun." -:Memphis pulled Ryver to his feet.:- "Ah'm gonna run and errand but by the time I get back I want to see you outside with the others got me. No buts."

-:Ryver needed some time out of that back room. Memphis gave the order as the boys dominate, as his Freki and then left to let him gather his wits before going out. Memphis headed back to the library where Bianca and Anya were looking through books about the stuff they were looking into dealing with Malcolm. Poking his head through the library door he wasn't surprised to see Evie in there as well. Who knew if Evie was in on what the other two were doing or not. Maybe the telemetric was just reading up on her poetry.:-

"Evie, B. How about you ladies come give me a hand running an errand. Packs having a Barbecue and I need to make a liquor store run. Come give an old man a hand."

-:Anya was welcome to come as well, but those two specifically he was supposed to keep with him like they were joined at the hip. It didn't feel like babysitting. Just like a chance to get closer to the pack. Motioning for the girls to come on he knew Evie at least would have no issues whatever with the liquor store idea. Piling whoever was coming into the Taxi he would drive them to the closest store and they piled out like the rag tag group they were. Many bottles later he returned them all home and they were carrying so many glass they sounded like a damn parade.:-

-:Memphis carried the newly bought supplies outside where the others were and with a grin and help from Bianca and Evie he started setting up shop behind the outdoor bar that was close to the pool. Passing Elena and Loke he would greet both of them with brushes of his stubbled cheek and even let them rub at his bald head. Even got out the blender and found an extension chord to plug it into the side of the house. Time for the bar to open. With the stub of a cigar tucked into the side of his mouth he shouted across to Vinny.:-

"You using propane? Or charcoal?" -:Memphis was squinting to see what the bear was doing as if he didn't quite trust him with the all important job of barbecueing. All the while he was mixing up a batch of his famous margaritas for the pack mates already gathering.:-

It wasn't long that the pack house started buzzing like a aggitated hornet's nest.  But it wasn't in aggitation, rather it was in excitement.   Putting her fingers in her mouth and giving a sharp whistle to alert the three canine-ish creatures outside that it was time to go in.   After a minute or so the tumble of barking and panting creatures hovered against her legs.  Loke looked up as Vinny joined them and she had to grin wide at his lack of a beard.   'Pappa bear, what happened to your beard?'  Okay, so that's what she wanted to say after he gave Leni a kiss but his mention of West had her face turnning completely red.   Sure there was really nothing to be embarressed over, it was completely natural but still.  The friendly reminder that everyone knew she was now with West when she hadn't really announced it, yeah made her feel the heat of embarressment.

"Uhh.. he's working I think.  But I'll call him and let him know about the cook-out.  I'm sure he doesn't want to miss it."  Head turned as Memphis came out of the house and she found herself grinning.  "A man and his liquor."  She touched Memphis's arm as she in turn returned the brush of cheek, her black bitch all but wild with excitement.   So many wolves around, and others for that matter that where considered pack. Leaning down she scratched behind the dogs ears before straightening and waving her hands toward the dogs to go toward the house.  She pulled the door open letting the mass of them thunder into the house and find a cool place to all lay and cool off.  Shutting the door behind her she dug into her back pocket and lifted out her blackberry.  Holding down the 3 button she set the phone to her ear as she walked toward the living room.

She left a quiet voicemail for West asking him when he was coming home that the pack was having a cook-out and that he should really make himself known since some of the pack didn't really know him.  Hanging up she headed back upstairs to get changed and shower.

-Vinny ruffling his hair nearly had the adult Sean making a teenagers UGH sound, but secretly he didn't mind. He liked the Skoll. The man had always been a calm spot in the storms that had faced the pack over the years. Waving to Leni and Loke he headed back inside.-

"Yup I'll be right back."

-To the kitchen first he poured the OJ in a glass and as a last minute thought he got a glass for Lexie as well before putting the carton back in the fridge. Then he headed towards the stairs. When Memphis poked his head out and asked what was going on the grinning Sean had giving him the details about the barbecue and that everyone was gathering outside. Sean liked Memphis as well, but who was he kidding, he got along with all his pack mates so far.-

-Heading upstairs towards his absolute favorite person in the world he tried not to spill the juice as he opened the door to Lexie's room and set the glasses down on the bedside table before sitting himself on the edge of the bed. His white fox nudged at her vixen trying to wake her up without startling her and when he saw her eyes blink awake he smiled. But then she breathed out and her breath smelled like brandy and his nose crinkled.-

"Jeez Lex get a tooth brush."

-Waving his hand in front of his nose with a laugh he told her about the barbecue and gave a tug at the covers to hurry her up. When she got out of her bed he plopped down into it to wait for her to get showered and dressed so they could go down together. He only hopped up and slipped out long enough to change into a pair of swim trunks himself. Sean even looked good in them. He was shorter than most of the men in the pack, but he was built well muscled. He looked just like a real man only miniturized down. Unfortunetly even with a six pack and pecks at his height women still just tended to go awwwwww. Which was not very flattering. Flopping back onto the bed in his swim trunks he would wait for Lexie to be ready.-

-Anya had been sitting at one of the small tables in the houses cozy library, her long legs curled into lotus position as she made the stretch look as comfortable as possible. Dressed in a pair of white shorts that left those long tan legs exposed and a button down pale blue shirt, whose bottom buttons were undone so she could tie the ends at her stomach. Long blonde hair had been tied in a braid that hung over one shoulder and dipped into the hollow between her breasts as her head was leaned forward and she let her pacific blue eyes scan the words in the ancient tome in front of her.-

-She knew a bit about magic from her years in Tibet, but some of this stuff was really far beyond her. Licking lightly at the tips of her fingers she flipped the page of the book that was resting in her lap. Everything was so calm in the library and her own serenity wafted off her as she listened to the minute sounds being made by Evie and Bianca as the two were lost in their own books. When Memphis pushed open the door and made his announcement she actually jumped a little in her seat.-

"Big guy, you are a force of nature."

-Closing the book and moving it from her lap to the table in front of her she was only too happy to stretch her back and get out of the chair. Fingers flipped the braid back over her shoulders as she went to greet Memphis with a brush of her cheek.-

"You guys go on without me. I'll go find Toshi and let him know. Maybe he'll come and finally meet some more of you."

-Leaving the three wolves to their errand she would head through the kitchen and grab a bottle of water on her way to the front door. Out the front she followed her nose and the scent of Toshi. Walking barefooted through the gravel of the driveway and then the packed earth of the vineyard it took awhile before she reached a clearing where she found Toshi practicing his meditative martial arts movements in slow concentric circles. Waiting for him to notice her she smiled softly to him.-

"The pack is having a celebration. A gathering for everyone. Come meet everyone Toshi."

-She knew he was shy but she held a hand out to him hoping that he would take it and come with her back to the house and out to at least be a part of what the pack was trying to do. It was an important part of them being there, and she knew if Toshi didn't start thriving at the Pack soon he might need to go back to Tibet. So she held that hand out and prayed the prayer of the lotus that he would take it.-

-Ryver had known the barbecue was coming. Just hadn't realized it was coming so soon. When Memphis gave him that rough shake Ryver nearly fell out of the arm chair and in confusion with his dark hair in a mess atop his head he looked up at the Freki through strands of black that had fallen across his eyes. Nodding and mumbling some incomprehensible things he waited for Memphis to leave before throwing his blanket off and letting it rest over the back of the chair he was vacating.-

-He'd barely left Malcolms room at all and really didn't want to now, but an order was an order. Moving to the side of Malcolms bed he leaned over his brother and whispered something encouraging in a low voice. His hand gently patting the older mans shoulder before Ryver drew away. Pulling the chord from around his neck Ryver pulled off the loose necklace with the room key dangling from it. Leaving Malcolms room he locked the door behind him. He'd asked Ash for a copy of the key since the man seemed to think it was dangerous for certain people to be alone with his brother.-

-Not the lycans couldn't break into a plywood door but he figured they'd be much less likely to go to those lengths inside their own home at least. And since Ryver was in the room 99 percent of the time it wasn't much of an impediment to visitations. Today would just be different. Putting the key back around his neck he went next door into the Ulfrics room to use the bathroom and get changed into some clothes he was storing in Ashes room while he was staying with Malcolm. Seeing Silent, Winter, and Murphy still in a puppy pile in the Ulfrics bed he cleared his throat before planting his palms on the huge mattress and giving it enough of a shake to rouse them.-

"Wake up sleepy heads. There's a big barbecue going on...apparently."

-He hadn't actually checked out the factuality of that yet. Grabbing a pair of his shorts from the Ulfrics drawer he ducked into the bathroom. Changing quickly and washing his face off with water he still looked like death warmed over. Dark circles under his eyes, stubbly black hair on his chin, and his hair was a mess. Plus he was probably about ten pounds under weight by now at least. But at least he was out of that dark room.-

-Heading back out of the bathroom the girls weren't in the room anymore so he assumed they'd either gone to get ready also or already joined the party. Going out towards the back he was still yawning when he opened the door and was slammed into by the warmth of the sunshine. Yeesh. He hadn't remembered that. He was really getting slow. Stepping out into the sunshine he made a beeline for Vinny and with a yawn asked.-

"Need me to bring out the meat? Plates? Anything like that?"

-=*As Ryver shook the bed Murphy instinctively threw out an arm in her sleep and bopped the Lupa right in the nose. That sure made her wake up fast and blink sleep out of her eyes. It was a sunday for pete's sake. Couldn't a person sleep in on a sunday? After all she was Jewish, she didn't have to go to church or anything. Then Ryvers words sank in and she found herself licking her lips. Food. That was something worth waking up for.*=-

"Mmmmm food."

-=*Full on zombie speak as she scrambled out of the bed still dressed in a pair of mens boxers and a tight brown tank top that rode high enough to show a strip of skin at stomach and back as well as the ends of those angels wings she had tattooed on her back. Licking her lips she seemed to wake quickly at that point. Some light coming on inside her as she realized this meant the whole pack might actually be together. In one place. At one time. Holy shit!*=-

"Uhh Lady Lupe. I just wanna make sure. When they say Pack barbecue they mean....a human barbecue right? Not a lets get furry and eat live things barbecue. Right?"

-=*Looking from Silent to Winter she was asking for clarification since she was still pretty new to all the werewolf pack society stuff and was often the one out of the loop on what exactly things were about. Letting Winter and Silent go ahead of her she ran to the living room first to grab her guitar case. If there was a party then Colleen should be there. Gripping the handle she carried the guitar outside with her and gave a big smile to all the wolves already gathered. One of those wide toothy grins.*=-

"Morning. Afternoon. Hoooowl."

-=*Joking with the loud howling sound she chuckled and set the guitar down in a chair at the table near Elena and then pulled out a chair for herself and plopped down into it and gave that big wattage grin to Elena.*=-

"We have got to get our little Blackberries synched lady. Make some time to get together so you can teach me some things about the almighty fuzzy."

-=*Shouting across to Memphis before Leni could fully answer.*=-

"Hey FARKI how about a vodka and iced tea?"

-=*It was her drink of choice and since he was playing bartender after all. Then she was looking back at Elena with that smile still plastered on her face.*=-

"Yeah tell him to just leave work. It's too nice a day to be toiling away."

-Shouted at Loke as she headed back into the house and then Vinny threw a look over his shoulder at Memphis. He was glad to see the big bald man out and about and making drinks just like the old days, but that didn't mean he wanted him questioning Vinny's drink choices. Hell no. A mans grill was like a mans dick. Only certain people were allowed to play with it, and no one better question if it could get the job done.-

"You just tend to your bar there Memphis and let me handle the flames."

-Oh yes. This was all but going to descend into the realm of chest beating and grunting antics pretty soon without some help. Luckily more estrogen started to file out as Murphy, Winter, and Silent came out to join Leni. Then Ryver was offering to help and Vinny threw an arm around the boys shoulders, which felt like they'd gotten a little bonier in the last few months.-

"Sure bud. Let's load up."

-Practically dragging Ryver underneath one of his colorfully inked up arms he pulled the boy inside the house and towards the kitchen. Grabbing one of the cardboard boxes the meat had been carried from the market inside he set the box on the counter and opened the freezer shouting "Catch" before starting to toss butcher paper wrapped steaks, burgers, and weenies in Ryvers direction. Letting the boy catch them and put them in the box.-

"Alright. I'll carry this stuff out. You grab the fixins and carry them out in that box over there."

- Vinny pointed to another of the boxes Elena had carried in. Lifting the heavy box of meat and carrying it out to the back yard again he was ready to eat already. Stomach rumbling as he set the box down he picked up his beer almost immediately and took a long drink. Lifting the lid of the grill he felt the heat coming up from beneath him and it made him grin and chuckle as he started unwrapping the meat and slapping them on the grill.-

"It's Freki you crazy carpet muncher."

-:Memphis grunted in Murphy's direction with a laugh even as he began pouring her the drink she'd asked for. When the pint was glass was filled with the odd ice tea mixture he set it on a tray and then put empty glasses on the tray as well before pulling the blender off its mechanism and pouring each glass to the brim with tequila packed frothy green goodness.:-

-:Carrying the tray towards the table where the girls were gathered he held the tray so Evie, Elena, Murphy, Bianca, and who ever could grab a drink before he slid the tray onto the table with the few glasses that were still left. He'd make up another batch in a second. As Vinny was slapping meat on the grill the smell had Memphis's stomach rumbling as well. Moving behind Murphy he let his thick hands grip the womans shoulders and knead the muscles there softly.:-

"Did anyone give Ash a call yet? I'm betting he left without checking the art gallery."

There was nothing good on TV (at least in English) and her eyes were starting to water from the very idea of reading something so when Memphis pressed her into the booze-fetching-chain-gang Bianca gave a hearty "Hell Yes." Because come on, Booze Run? Like she was going to say no that. Plus she was running low on smokes and the idea of having to make a separate trip to get just that was way more effort than she was willing to expand. So after swinging her legs off the sofa's armrest Bianca followed Evie and Memphis to the big yellow car.

And thanks the magic that was time passing, when they got back with their cache of liquid goodies, the grill was going and the ETA for the meal shrunk by a significant margin which was all well and good because Bianca was starving and she could only stock bottles for so long before she went off in search of things to sneak off plates. Never one for proper table manners was Bianca. With a bottle of red Wine in her hand, Bianca was looking for a proper spot to shove the nasty when Puppy (her future nemesis in all things slobber) chose that moment to come and say hi, his tongue and the drool it was covered in, lolling out of his doggy grin and coming way too close to her pants for comfort.

"Ugh no, bad dog, shoo, this is grownup stuff."

Using her ankle Bianca pressed against the dog and nudged him aside. And in typical Puppy fashion he ignored her completely, straining his furry neck to sniff at the boxes that still rested on the ground, waiting to be unpacked. Ignoring the dog for a moment, Bianca focused on planting the easily breakable stuff away from the edges of a makeshift bar before the drooling fuzz bucket at her feet could get to it, when she heard a distinctive crunch of fangs on aluminum.  Slowly she turned her head to look down at her feet where a six pack of some weird blue beer in tall cans rested.  Now it was a five pack and the dog had one of the cans in his mouth, the fuzzy liquid spilling from between his floppy lips.

"Bad dog!  Puppy you drop that right now! LOKE!!" Bianca's voice was loud as all hell when she glanced around for the puppy's owner.

"Come get your mutt before he drinks us dry!"

Or before she shaved the damn dog to teach it a lesson.   And almost like to say "F U, B" the dog chose that moment to shake his head in disagreement, which caused the beer leaking from his new chew toy to spray in a fizzy arc on Bianca and Evie and anyone within a six foot radius.

Looking down at the grinning dog, Bianca let out a little growl that made the puppy's tail wag in  anticipation of play. What sucked worse was that her lit cigarette was a soggy mess now. Niceeeee.  The Puppy got a dirty look and Bianca went in search of a towel and some music. With the BBQ getting into full swing music was of the essence. After getting her hands on some portable speakers and Loke's iPod Bianca headed out while she scrolled through the playlist.  Some of the things Loke had on there made even the redhead's head swim. Like for example the first song she qued up to play. Jump Around by House of Pain. Because you can't go wrong with the classics.

-Ryver was carrying a box full of kitchen stuff on Vinnys trail. Plates, napkins, plastic wares. Buns, heads of lettuce, sliced tomatos, a jar of pickles, ketchup, mustard, and just all sorts of things. It was heavy, but Ryver was a lycanthrope and stronger than his compact frame hinted at so he carried the box with some amount of ease. The patio was noisier than it had been when he'd left and he tried his best to peek out from over the box at what was going on as he moved to the far end of the table to set the box down closest to the grill so Vinny could get to it.-

"That good Vinny?"

-A hand brushed back through his hair and Ryver felt a tingle in his spine and stepped about three steps to the right, sliding the box with him as he remembered something. About two seconds later the spray of beer went jagging past him and the foamy liquid splattered Vinnys back making Ryver clench his lips together to suppress a laugh. Then he jumped in surprise about a minute before the music blasted out of the speakers.-

Leni had heard and felt Loke's approach well before she'd seen her. There had been a time, not so long ago that she had frequently wanted to smack Loke, but things had changed since Loke had returned from Tibet. Enough time had passed that any lingering animosity that Leni'd had was completely gone, faded from memory. So she didn't mind in the slightest to have the company of the other woman, even with the two dogs making their racket. She laughed quietly, waving off Loke's 'peace and quiet' comment with a smile. "Nah, it's fine. Sometimes, a little noise is exactly what's needed." Her smile broadened as she faced Loke, rocking back on her heels. "Great, actually." Which was true. These days, it took a lot for Leni to feel down and out about something, and even more for her to feel down and out for any extended length of time. Vinny was largely the cure for that, but she had settled down, really. In terms of finding her place and just living. "How about you?" She pushed some of her hair out of her eyes, bright blue-greens peering curiously at Loke. She knew the other woman had been quiet lately, but Leni, of all people, knew what it was like to need to sort things out in your own way.

After nodding and smiling again at Loke's response, Leni's eyes caught sight of Sean. She waved over at him, smirking slightly. "Technically? Whenever Vinny gets the grill up and running. Soon, though." She saw him duck his head, her lips quirking with the hint of amusement. One brow arched upward when he excused himself to go get a glass and then get Lexie, she turned back towards Loke for a moment, grinning. "He's adorable." She meant that, too. She didn't know Sean that well, but she knew he was a funny guy. Laid back, all around fun. There really wasn't anything to dislike about him, as far as she knew.

Vinny was another one that she could feel even before she saw or heard him. It was almost as though he was somehow just linked to her heart. She knew whenever he was coming -- usually from a mile away. When came over and kissed her cheek, she smiled again and leaned into him for a quick moment before glancing at the apron he was wearing. Her eyes narrowed slightly, playfully, brow arching again. "Nice apron. Very subtle." She chuckled, briefly shaking her head. Hearing Vinny's question directed at Loke, she had to hide the smirk that threatened. That there was something going on between West and Loke wasn't lost on her, either .. but then, that was partly because what Vinny ended up hearing, Leni usually ended up hearing, too. She returned Vinny's second kiss to the cheek with one of her own before letting him go off to do his thing.

Honestly, having just seen a few of the pack members, Leni wasn't sure she could be any happier than she was right then. But when Memphis made his appearance, she was proven wrong. It was good to see him out and about, and even though they weren't the closest pack members, Leni returned his greeting with a nuzzle from herself, as well as a quick rub to the top of his head. "It's good to see you, Memphis." She was smiling as she said it, and still smiling when he went off to talk with Vinny.

She stood there for a few moments, watching as the pack members slowly started to gather around, offering a smile and wave to Ryver, who'd made a beeline for her bear, and watching as they came and went. She was content in doing just that, at least until Murphy came over. When she saw the other woman and heard her words, she laughed lightly. "That we do," she replied after Murphy called out to Memphis. "We'll get together soon. It's half my fault, anyway. I'm still trying to figure my damn phone out." Leni and technology went about as well together as oil and water. She had the phone out of necessity, but she was still getting used to it. And speaking of necessity, as she snagged a drink from Memphis that wasn't beer related, Leni piped up at his question to Murphy. "I've got it," the call to Ash, she meant. "Excuse me for one minute, guys."

Heading off towards a quieter part of the yard, Leni tugged her phone out and dialed Ash's number. When he answered, she told him he was missing out on a lot of fun and that he ought to get home. Which translated to 'Barbecue,' when he asked what she meant. She laughed lightly when he said he'd be home shortly and hung up with him, before walking back over to the group. "Alright. Ash is on his way .. he said he was going to bring Llidya, too." She waved over to Bianca, one of the other newer wolves she needed to get to know. And then she was off into the crowd, finally making her way over to the grill area, just in time to see Ryver's little stunt. Which, since it was at Vinny's expense, had her cracking up. She approached the two, leaning in to greet Ryver, as she studied Vinny's now beer-soaked back. "It's too bad it's on his back. He'd probably just lick it right off if you'd gotten the front of his shirt." Her words held a note of amusement as she slid her hands into her pockets, watching Vinny. As her eyes caught the bear's for a moment, they conveyed one of those have I told you how much I love you lately looks that he often elicited from her. But even with that expression, Leni was still very tempted to stir up trouble for him. Another push into the pool, maybe? The thought had Leni snickering to herself.

The dead never slept! Never! They actually ran around attached to people like parasites. Lyric on the other hand was a sexy ghost and she didn't cling on people. Just a few. Mainly cause she could and there was really nothing else to do. It sucked being a ghost. Hard when you couldn't interact with people and your always watching. She was really feeling like Big Brother with the pack. Like this constant voyager in their lives. It got worse when she appeared in the bathroom when Ash or Memphis and recently when Silent showered. It was a little disturbing. Nothing she'd tell any medium she did that sort of thing. She guessed Ash would try to ward off the showers just in case Lyric came in for a free show. Not that she hadn't seen it all already and multiple of times.

This time she was curled as much as she could get against Memphis when he was watching over Dr. M. She didn't sleep, mostly because she was scared if she did sleep she wouldn't come back. That and of course she never felt tired. It was that whole lack of a body thing. That's what she was guessing anyway. No body, no need for sleep. When Harry was finally up and about, she would go with him for a little while. Walking along side him when he gathered up the girls to take them shopping for liquor. Looking at the bottles he bought later she guessed it was for Memphis' Famous Margaritas. It turned a smile on her lips.

Time shifted quickly. One second she was at the store the next she was perched like ghost call girl on the edge of the outdoor bar. All she needed (aside from a body) was a tip jar in her hands. Fingers clasped together she smiled watching (since thats all she could do) the pack gathering and interacting with each other. If she had a heart she would have felt it swelling with pride and love for her family.

Silent had one hellva night...One of those I dont wanna wake up for YEARS kind of nights. So once Ash and Memphis were out of bed...She turned on her most favoritest of favorites people to cuddle up with and hide from the day. Murphy. And who could blame the swamp wolf. The woman was just great. So when Ryver came bouncing the bed not only had Silent managed to bop Murphy but to kick Winter right off the bed!

"OOPPS!!Im sooo sorry.."

Caught up in this she would miss the naked wolf boy. Reaching down to grab up the lil she bear she would smile ...She was half tempted to see if the woman had any cuts so she could kiss the boo boos.Once the bear was up and going Silent would pull on the beat up blue jeans she had been sporting the last two days and the wife beater which she was sure belonged to someone who had slept in the room the night before. Oh well it was a shirt.

"Yea a human one..But a eating things live sounds wounderful."

Silent couldnt help but laughing some as she threw her arm around Murphy's waist and they headed down towards the gathering of people. God it felt like ages since she had seen most of them with her being busy at the Asylum and the trip to Salem...And yes thats how she will refer to that clusterfucking mess she did. So there everyone was...After long last!

Silent moved towards leni...Making sure she didnt mention the unanswered call for lunch...Hell the woman had a love life right? Brushing her cheek against her once best friends cheek she would cuddle some against the she wolf ..Then she would turn her self to Vinny giving the cook a quick hug before making for Memphis and Murphy.

"what we working with here! I want something strong"

Crime unfortunetly was not a nine to five Monday through Friday kind of job. It wasn't usually a big surprise for Ash and several of the others to be in the office of Mystic Investigations on the weekends. When Elenas phone call came in he hung up without a real good bye and sat staring at the cell phone on his desk for a long moment. He thought about not going, about just staying buried in the work on his desk, but he'd been the one feeling distant from the pack lately and staying away from them longer certainly wasn't going to help.

Pushing his chair back from the desk he picked up the cell and slipped it into the pocket of his too tight black jeans and headed out of the office. As he passed Llydia's door he pushed it open the rest of the way and stuck his head in to look at her just as buried in her work as he had been. Knocking even though his head was already in the doorway he gave a nod towards the exit when she looked up at him.

"Come on. Let's go home. They're making lunch."

Something like that at least. From the sound over the receiver of the phone there had been quite a lot of noise and activity going on in the back ground of Elenas call. Waiting for Llydia to gather up her things Ash looked at the clock and wondered if Sevvy was still at her office across town as well. Pulling the cell phone out again he gave her a call and explained to the vargamore what was going on, trying to pull her into the activity as well. It had been awhile since the whole family had been together at once and he was looking forward to it.

Once he hung up with Severence and returned the phone to his pocket Llydia was ready to go and they headed towards the door of the office together. Talking in that cop speak about the cases they had as they moved out towards the car he threw her a glance of those lightning kissed eyes as she climbed into the passenger seat and he started up the Impala. Through the cars speakers the sound of Vivaldi added a subtle background to the churn of the engine.

"Any word yet from your sister? About the wedding? Or about Dina coming to visit?"

The drive home was nice and relaxing and by the time they reached the pack house he was excited to see everyone. Even in the driveway he could feel the energy surrounding the land, all those wolves and foxes and bears gathered in one place. Clustered together with excitement running high. It had his black beast eager behind the silver lined edges of his shields. And by the time he was opening the back door and stepping out into all the activity he could smell the meat roasting and hear the laughter of the pack. It warmed his heart even as the edges stayed laced with sadness. Seeing Silent's colorful dreadlocks standing near Memphis he moved that way.

"Memphis made margaritas huh?"

Heading to the table he grabbed a glass off the tray that had been left there. Though he rarely drank the things it was exciting simply because Memphis hadn't made margaritas for the pack since Lyric had died. It was special. Handing a glass to Llydia he took one for himself and handed one to Silent as well. Uncomfortable gathering for two hundred please Pat. But what could he do but just pretend everything was okay. So he sank with boneless grace into the seat Elena had vacated earlier, near Murphy and took a long drink of the now slightly watered down margarita.

"Well Murph if there wasn't already some ear drum shattering music I'd have you finally play that thing for me."

Ash nodded towards the guitar case and took another drink of his margarita.

Toshi hadn't met anyone but Loke, but since he and Anya had come to Italy, he had made himself pretty scarce.  He was shy, very shy.  That, and he was afraid he would hurt someone.  His hands were deadly, his mind unstable at times when others were hurt.  The meditation was what helped.  Anya had taught him that.

He had smelled her before she neared him, her breath was song to his ears, forcing a smile to the thin lips.  Eyes of the purest amber lifted as his arms slowly manuevered themselves into a position, his movement slow, methodical, dangerous.  When she came to a stop beside him and offered him her hand, he bowed in respect then took ahold of it.  She would never lead him astray and he adored the golden wolf.  He felt no sexual stirrings to her, as he had never felt anything of the sort before.  He figured it was dead.  It was just a thing that dangled there and got in the way.

He was dressed simple, a pair of jeans.  That was it.  The caramel colored hard body didn't like to be covered.  He loved to move freely, not be constricted with material.  Toshi had heard the laughter and voices of the others, but hadn't wanted to interfere, afraid of how he would be accepted.  He was just an omega after all, unworthy to be around such great warriors like the others.  Stepping slightly behind Anya when they reached the house, he pressed slightly into her back, a tremor going through his body, though he wasn't sure if it was out of nervousness or excitement.  The lightest scent of cherry blossoms floated around him as the every so golden eyes glanced over the others.

After Silent had drug Winter to the BBQ, she had dug out the tarot cards and wanted to see something in them, so there she was, at the patio table in a pair of ripped worn and faded jeans, the strawberry blond curls loose about her cherubic face as she studied the tarot cards in front of her.  Fingers on her right hand played with the strap on her tank top, of the prettiest pink ever, a gift from Lexie, who Winter totally adored.  Well, that and Leni.  She sighed softly as she didn't see what she wanted too, hands dropping disappointedly to the cards and pushed them gently back together, never taking out her emotions on the cards.  That was taboo.

Wrapping them up, she froze.  Head lifted slightly as she caught his scent.  He had been there for how long and she was just now noticing!?  Bad bear!  A pink flush slammed into her cheeks as eyes dropped, ears straining to hear that raspy voice of his, sending a shiver down her spine.  He didn't know she existed, and she really couldn't blame him, she wasn't anything to look at really.  Besides, she was sure he didn't even know she was alive, yup.  Sigh.

Gathering up the cards, she was going to rush to her room, when WHAM! She slammed into Memphis, her cards spilling everywhere!  She gave out a squeek in surprise, horror written all over her face as she watched her cards hit the floor in slow motion, her heart dumping right into her stomach.  Tears welled up in her eyes as she dropped to her knees, apologizing for running into him, hands quickly trying to gather up her deck before they were tainted.  How could she have been so stupid!  (Then again, maybe it was time for a new deck?  Nah.. those belonged to her grandmother).  She would just have to consecrate them all over again, no biggie right?

Chapman accepted the margarita with a smile towards Memphis and a nod towards Silent before she turned from the then formed trio to glance around. She remembered the last get together they'd had like this. Thoughts were shaken from her mind as she turned, thinking of how great it was that everyone was gathered around. It was time to make new good memories.

Bahamas-clear water hues looked to Winter as she was gathering up her cards, and Chapman squatted down next to her to as she gathered up the card. Llidya didn't bother to offer, as she knew there was something about touching other people's tarot cards or something.

"Hey you alright? It's all good. Memphis isn't gonna murderlate you or nothin..." A reassuring smile was sent to the smaller woman as they both straightened, and Llidya held out her hand to her. "Name's Chapman...don't believe we've formerly met." She waited a moment to see if she'd take the offered hand or not, and tried not to appear intimidating, which was completely against her nature.

In her line of work it had been top priority, especially fighting with the big dogs all the time. But she didn't want to scare off the bear, she seemed like a nice chick. "So you do the tarot eh? It's about time for my annual reading..." That trademark Chapman smirk crossed her lips as she glanced over to Silent and then to Ash before looking back down to Winter. Llidya did her best to appear that she wasn't looking down her nose, but it was kind of hard to keep a level gaze with someone at least a foot shorter.

"Wanna margarita?" She asked the woman, giving the drink in her hand a bit of a shake for indication.

A tarot reading would be a good distraction from those stressful thoughts of the future, of Aryca's wedding, of Dina and what she was going to do and well, everything. Besides, maybe it'd give her insight on all that jazz...

So many new faces. Sweet jesus. So many. She had encountered the "Rad B" but outside of her the new wolves that had joined since their arrival in Rome. Those colorful tri colored hues moving over Anya and the male at her side...And would smile...Something about the woman was just sooo peaceful..

How funny it was how everyone here was so beautiful in their own way..Then out of nowhere those chills slid up her spine..And that smell of pine filled the are..A frown would move over those pale pink lips.Lyric.It was a name on the tip of her tongue..It also was something that would bring memories of a happier time back in Salem.Taking a deep breath she would let the smile move back over her lips...

Just the fact that Memphis was playing bartender made Silent happy. It had been to long since he last did this.Made her think maybe...Just maybe things were looking up for the pack..Now if only the could take care of Mal...Things would be perfect..

And then they came in. Not that she had a issue with them separately...She loved Ash..Beyond what Silent even understood. And Llidya was hers. Silent had trained the woman to be more functional as a wolf..But that moment of saddiness..Even anger passed over her..But a deep breath and a moment to collect herself she would let that smile move back in place.

Long tattooed arms curling around both Llid and Ash at the same time kissing each on the cheek in turn. Before slipping on to the other side of Ash.Placing a kiss on his cheek when he handed her off a drink.Looking towards Llid she would frown seeing the looks of being without sleep..Moving to the redheads side rubbing her cheek against the womans.

"All work and no play is never good. You should join the no work for a week club"

A smirk would tug at silents lips before she went off to introduce herself to Anya and Toshi whose name reminded her of that turtle from super mario brothers..Wasnt that the name of it? Of course Loke was near the pair so tossing her arm around Loke's shoulders she would rest her cheek against the womans bronze shoulder.

Touching her cards without permission was a no no, and it was a good thing the red head refrained, because honestly, Winter might have gone postal.  It was bad enough she was so embarrassed, she wanted to bury her head in a fresh pile of snow and just die!

"It... it's okay.."  At the mention of Memphis, she went beet red and quickly wrapped up her cards, avoiding all eye contact, though rather curious as to how someone she did not know knew she was thinking about the fact she slammed into the shit brickhouse.  Soft doe eyes landed on the hand that was stuck out, her small one slipping into it, "Winter."  And she smelled and felt just like her name.  Freshly fallen snow, apple cider spiced with cinnamon.  Homey and delicious.  Blowing a stray curl out of her eyes, the strand glimmered, much like fiber optics, alerting people she was a polar bear of the finer kind.

"Nice to meet you."  The amnesiac glanced around as the redhead made mention of the cards, followed by an offer of alcohol.  "Mmm no thank you.  I don't drink."  A slight shake of her head.  One did not read with poison polluting their system.  She mostly drank water and juices.   Biting her bottom lip, she peeked around "Chapman" towards Memphis, eyes dropping immediately, then back to the tall lady.

The shower had been just what the doctor had ordered and even in the middle of the pouring hot water she heard the sound of the music blaring.  She scrubbed the last of the soap out of her hair before doing a quick wipe down of her limbs and torso.  She didn't bother to dress in the bathroom it was just too hot so she wrapped her hair in a towel and scampered out of the bathroom naked toward her room.  Once inside she was able to fully dry off, of course it was a hurried job because she could hear laughter and joking from her window.  A quick wrap of her hair in a ponytail and she was set, wearing nothing more fancier then a pair of jeans and a black tank top of course choosing her cheap as dirt foam Wal-mart brand flip flops she loved.

Openning her door she could hear Bianca yelling at Puppy and grinned.  She scooted for a moment down to Lexie's room looking for the bottle of wine she had given her.   Well rather the wine that Silent had given to Loke who in turn had offered it to the vixen.  She found it sitting still semi full and grinned.  Sweet.  Taking the stairs two at a time she headed back down and out through the half open back door.  Just in time to watch Puppy snag a beer can and let the fizz fly.  Talk about good timing.  She managed to avoid the spray of beer but grabbed Puppy by the scuff of his neck and wrestled the can out of his mouth.  She leaned over his head upside down and stared at him.  "No, bad.  Go lay down."   She let go of his scuff and watched him slink away covered in slobber and beer.  She straightened and looked at Bianca before offering the wine.  "Here this will make you feel better."

Loke was amazed at the amount of wolves and others gathered and could only smile brightly.   She lifted a hand and waved over toward Toshi, grinning wide at seeing him here.  Such a quiet guy.  And Winter, that cute little button nosed bear.  Loke simply adored her.  As such she moved over after Llids tried to help her and curled her arm around Winter's waist.  "You okay?"   Not that Llids had done anything but rather that maybe she might have gotten startled and or scared.  Amber gaze lifted to Llids.

"Sup Red?  Where you been?  You don't call me, you don't write, you don't text.  I'm starting to think you're leaving me for someone else."  Bottom lip pouted out faintly toward Llidya as she leaned in to brush her cheek against Winter's cheek releasing her hold on her waist.

At the moment her beast was nearly running in circles in excitement.  So many people and it wasn't even time for a hunt.  She couldn't help but keep grinning.  Now if West was here and Malcolm as well, things would all be right with the world.  Although a tendril of fear crept down her spine, what if people didn't approve of her and West.  There it was that sliver of unease that said, 'Maybe you shouldn't go public, maybe it's for the best.  Maybe it won't last.' The smile faultered slightly but she carefully hid that uneasy feeling behind the smile and exhuberance of her beast.  She waited for Llids to answer before she slipped away from them and headed toward Anya and Toshi.

She stepped up beside them giving Toshi her best smile, pressing her hands together before her and bowing her head slightly.  She did this of course because while in Tibet she had seen watched and even done it herself.  One hand shifting to brush against his upper arm slightly in a comforting touch.  She openned her mouth to say something but startled herself when Silent drapped an arm over her shoulders.  She nearly pissed on herself, having focused in on Anya and Toshi with a type of tunnel vision.  She glanced at Silent and sniffled at her multicolored locks of hair.

"How do you keep them clean?  I would think matted hair would stink but your far from stinky."

If there was one thing Evie was proficient at, it was definitely alcohol distribution. The moment she heard the words 'liquor store' and 'pick stuff out,' she felt as if a light from God had descended. Sure, she'd been doing a lot better on the whole 'serious dependence on alcohol' thing, what with not blacking out every night -- not even in the past few months! hey-o! -- but that didn't mean she'd lost her touch.

Skipping through the liquor store like a child through the candy aisles, the young telemetric had grabbed as much as her gloved hands could carry. Jager, wine, champagne, vodka, whiskey, gin, and enough chasers and fruit wedges to keep them all happy as clams. The rest she left up to Memphis.

Naturally, he didn't disappoint.

The margarita was sipped at with vigor, anything to keep her from feeling too awkward. It was incredible, actually, being able to walk through the spacious back yard in the company of friends, safe and unfettered. Oh, she wasn't going to start challenging lycanthropes to a match of shots anytime soon -- that's a mistake you only make once. Or twice. How many times? Too many. No matter -- she was not going to get too ridiculous. Especially considering she was wearing a dress. Light and gauzy, a soft blue with tiny embroidered daisies. Vintage, cheap as dirt, and comfy as hell. But, no one wanted to see the little human's legs above her head when she ate shit on a lawn chair. Careful, drinker.

Really, Evie only made a true appearance once Ash had arrived. Not due to any obligation -- she had been doing her hair. And trying to talk herself down, due to a couple of extra heebee-jeebees thanks to a certain bar makeout sessions that had yet to go noticed.Oh, they'd talk about it eventually, sure. But for today, it was BBQ, drinks, and chatting.

Making her way to Llidya, a face that she hadn't seen in too long, Evie was quick to deliver a brisk hug before offering a cheerful, "hi-ya." Grey eyes fell to Winter, the nice girl and dual bearer of bad news. So far, no rape, no babies, no nothing. All good news. Had the news been bad, she might not have had a smile to muster for the tarot reader. "Hey, Winter." Grins and nods all around, between long sips of her margarita. For now, all was well in Pack world.

-On my way home now baby doll'.- That's what would flash across Loke's phone, it was a brief but point made message. He hadn't been able to answer the call when it had come in because he had been nose deep in more work then he felt was necessary at the office. More deaths among the animal population left a rather puzzling trail to what may lie in waiting. He had been a vet for as long as he could remember and never in all that time had he had to put down so many due to aggressiveness or just-------- The thought died completely he hadn't been sure where he was going with it and it hardly seemed to matter now.

The call couldn't have come at a better time since he was hungry, in need of a party and wanting very much to exchange a few passing kisses with a certain big bad black wolf. A crooked grin took his mouth as he glanced down at his phone. A thumb brushed along the screen that signified a missed call. The sound of her voice had sparked his beast to attention as well so deciding to not wait another second he did both him and the red wolf a favor. He spoke a quick good bye to his personal assistant then dodged a few incoming clients by sneaking out the back door. The small room had seemed suffocating , his thoughts had been on Loke and fighting the eagerness to be at her side had been down right impossible. So now with a free mind and determined will he shot across the parking lot in what seemed a jog at first but with the wolf close beneath the surface fueling him on it became a dead on run.

Emotions for West were confusing at times, especially now since he had found another to connect with. But this one scared him more then the others had and he had no idea why. Perhaps it's because it had taken the cowboy by complete surprise?. The southern gent had never planned on being with another, or even conspired the idea of taking a mate. The other two both his wives had been human so the whole mating for life issue had never come to light. Now he was faced with a over bearing need to take claim to this one,  Loke, her name whispered in his head. Was he in love with her?. Or was it even much deeper then that.  Hand shot out to take hold of a railing. Up and over he jumped stairs that lined the descending side walk, in a quick smooth motion that brought him back down to the balls of his feet. All the while those golden embers of his circled around to make sure no one was taking any interest in his circular activity here.

It was hot and growing hotter by the second as he continued his run. The heat was something he had long grown accustomed to since at times it doubled compared to that of a mere human. His red wolf was laid out clearly in his mind as he took the path that would lead him home. Running and jumping it soared in it's determination to reach the familiarity of it's pack. By the time he reached the front door of the pack house he was dripping with sweat and heart busting with a adrenaline rush. The white lab coat had been shrugged from his shoulders and now rested down wards dragging along the step. West paid it no mind as he stepped in to the house. Instantly a calm wave rushed over him as he took to inhaling both the scent that was Loke's and that of the pack. So long had the cowboy been a loner that he hadn't realized the aching feeling had been due to the loss of a pack. Now he breathed it all in rejoicing in the total simple fulfillment of it all.

There were many here he still hadn't the pleasure of meeting, like the bears he could smell now coming from some where towards the back. And there was a male fox that was unfamiliar to him. True he knew some of the names but it was about high time he matched the names to the actual faces. Ash was out back as well and Loke had said something about him speaking with him on regards to the matter of them being together. It seemed there was no better time then right now, shoulders held high the cowboy headed out back toward the noon sun to have himself a quiet show down with the sheriff. Drinks would help, it crossed his mind as he saw the interesting looking array of Martina's aligned on a tray.

"I reckon this will hit the spot mighty' nicely. Mind if I have one?".

The question was directed toward Ash and Memphis  or whom ever else may be closest to him. And if either said it was alright then he would take up the glass in a generous salute.

"Mighty' obliged to ya'.".

A turn to look around was taken, he was searching the new faces and slowly building to the crescendo of heighten pleasure that would arise once he laid those chartreuse eyes of his on a certain female wolf. His female, the red called out to him. Words gave way..

"Nice lay out ya' all got going on. I do declare, It be as busy as a stump-tailed cow in fly time."

Winter nearly came out of her skin again when Loke touched her, since her focus was on the one she totally was drooling over, and the beautiful red head before her.  Blinking rapidly, she shook herself out of her love lorn daze and gave Loke a brilliant smile.  "Hi.."  She nuzzled her cheek against the familiar scent of Loke, a rumble of happiness in her chest as eye lids lowered in contentment.  Yup, this was the life.

She watched Loke trot off to say hello to others, hugging her deck to her chest as she spotted Evie.  A raise of her hand in a finger wiggled wave, her chipmunk cheeks puffed out when she smiled.  She hated being the barer of bad news, no pun intended.  But Evie semed to be okay so far.  That was the key words though.  So Far.

Licking her lips, she quietly slid into a seat on the couch, drawing her legs up under her as she surveyed everyone there.  She had met quite a few already, but there were others she had not.  Rolling her bottom lip between her teeth, she just watched others, forgetting how tightly she had her cards hugged to her, a sort of security blanket in their own way.  She wasn't scared or nervous.  Lord, she didn;t have any reason to be.  This was just new to her and the sloth didn't act this way.  There wasn't the comeradidty with them as there was here.

In time, once she made a few solid friends, things would be diferent though.  Plus it would help if she just could figure out who she really was....

Silent's nose would wrinkle some as she tilted her head looking at Loke as if she was the craziest person in the world.Mainly because the question came out of nowhere. To Silent her hair always smelled of the pack...And all things that were her.Sure she washed it..With whatever shampoo that was in the bathroom...But never took certain measures

''I sleep in a bed of wolves.''

She would smile some. That was the only explanation she could come up with so thats what she ran with.Turning to introduce herself to Anya and Toshi she would extend her hand.

" Hi Im Silent. And your new."

DUH! Dumbass...Of course thats the first thing she came up with to replace that and Im the pack's Lupa. Because the last year she was distant with the pack...And wasnt sure where she stood. But she planned on changing this. She was wanting to throw herself in with the pack again...Spend time with them all.

Tri colored hues would move from the peaceful pair to glance towards evie giving the smaller woman a smile and a wave before those tri colored hues would move over Ash and Memphis.

"Hey bartender...Careful with that bottle that Loke brought down."

That cheshire grin moving over her lips. Any bottle of whine...Especially unlabled ones that came from the swamp wolf usually started out in the basements of the Capt. Which ment yes...Lycans could get drunk off it...At least for a short time.It was a damn addictive thing too.

There were enough colorful personalities at the BBQ to make Joseph and his Techni Color Dream coat shrivel up with envy.  It was kind of fun to watch actually, especially when B managed to behave herself and just hang back. Big gatherings were fine and dandy for some, personally she liked the peace and quiet around her and voices in her own head for company. Sure there was only the one but boy it could do impersonations like no other.  Just when B was about to sneak off and chill under a shade somewhere till the meat was done (or left super duper rare) Loke passed her a bottle. Was that a wink? Yup that was a definite wink from the Fat Bottomed Girl (which just happened to be the next song that qued up. Seriously Loke needed to updated that play list like yesteryear.)

Winks were good. Winks were very good. After Loke departed to do the mingle thing, Bianca pulled the cork out of the bottle with her teeth. She couldn't find the wine stopper and the cork looked a little loose anyway so what the hey. A little slobber on the glass between werewolves was like a handshake and such.  The scent that floated out of the bottle made Bianca's grin so bright and shiny, it cast shadows.  Now, this was what the poets wrote about. Love at first sniff.  Without bothering with a "who'd like some" or "might I interest you in..." Bianca grabbed the first empty glass and tipped the bottle over, pouring herself a hearty doze.  The strongest man made spirits couldn't get her passed buzzed, this shit would take her straight into la la territory and the trips there were always fantastic.

After carefully replacing the bottle cap Bianca set the bottle aside where the general population could get to it. If Loke didn't want the stuff drunk, then she wouldn't have brought it down. Right? That logic seemed sound to B who with her freshly poured drink in hand, and a fresh cigarette stuffed between the fingers that cradled the glass she went to find a nice lazy, shady spot where to relax and let the others do the work. She was a god damned rock star (of course) and those never did any work. As she passed by the grill she took a peek to see the meats' progress and to gauge how much lounge time she had.  Lifting her hand she waved hello to Lids and Ash as she passed them by, smiling warmly at Ryver and giving Anya a "Cheers" gesture with her glass.

The puppy made a good pillow Bianca discovered when she found a tree to sit under and the dog promptly curled up next to her, still sulking from Loke telling him "No." God he was spoiled but so damn cute when he wasn't slobbering.  Just because the pup looked miserable enough to make even B go "awww" Bianca dipped one finger into her wine glass and let the puppy lick it off. "Now shhhh that's our little secret. No telling Loke Okay? Good boy!" And he so was.

Toshi lifted his head up from behind Anya's back, the amazingly golden eyes dialating as chin lifted further for him to smell the air.  All the different scents invaded his nostrils, making his head swim.  It was a lot to process at once for the massively shy wolf.  He picked out Loke's scent as she wandered over, seeing her bow her head.  Toshi stepped to the side, revealing the chiseled body of a trained fighter, the rope wrapped hands, one forming into a fist, the other rigid and open.  The fit came to rest in the palm of his hand, chest high, bowing in honor of knowing the alpha bitch.  He kept his eyes lower than hers, always so proper to those who were stronger than he.

When her attention veered, he scooted once more behind Anya, especially when the crazy looking thing came at them.  That was way way way more than his brain could handle.  He had never seen such unkempt hair, or the colors of the rainbow in them.  He understood the piercings, but other than that?  He was waiting for Anya to explain what the fuck he was seeing.  He blinked, but kept his eyes low, feeling the ..... females power radiate from her, knowing she was of power and gave her that respect, though he was beyond confused at this point.  A slight bow to her, keeping like glue to Anya until she explained what the hell that crazy lady was.

In his periphrial vision, he spotted some form of movement, head snapping to the side, trying to figure out who or what it was, a bit ... freaked out by everything.  He seriously needed to find his happy place.  Breath, Toshi.  Drawing in a breath, he pressed his front closer to Anya, pushing into the curves of her back, seeking her warmth and comfort, since she was the only one ever allowed to touch him.  Calming some, the whiskeyed depths landed on a woman with shocking red hair, lifting a drink.  Nose flared as he drew in her scent, a shy smile given, though his eyes dropped immediately.

She could only grin at Silent's explaination.  Some of the people she had tattooed in her days had had dreds and they had stunk to high hell.  Then again most of them where hippy tree humpers, not that there was anything wrong with that.  But still, soap please!

Loke felt him as soon as he got close to the house.  The black bitch inside lifted it's head and Loke crouched slightly.  An urge that she had for a very long time came over her and she couldn't really resist it.  Once West was outside she hung back beside Anya and Toshi before grinning.   Her beast gave a trumpet howl before Loke took the three needed steps before leaping on West.   She managed to give on of those tell tale Battle cries before she landed square against him.

Thankfully he was a quick witted fellow of she would have found herself ass first on the floor when he didn't catch her or him under her as she knocked him over.  Legs curled around his middle even as she slammed into him, arms locking around his neck as she pressed her forehead to his.  No kisses.  No this was much more intimate to Loke.  She was all smiles as he gripped her tush in hand and held her up.

"I'm glad you managed to get away... You have to meet everyone.  I've been lax in letting you.. er.. out of your room."   True Loke had monopolized his time but she couldn't help it.  She'd spent too many years locked down and resisting any temptation what so ever she needed to feel free again, at least romantically.  She shifted her forehead off his and rubbed her cheek against his in a eager greeting even as the black bitch nearly mauled his red wolf with eagerness to lick and nip.  Over excited much, a much to much.

The vixen was clinging to sleep with all her might, wrapped in a cocoon of blankets with the pillow pulled half over her head. She heard Vinny’s thumping feet and then his voice, and made an uncomplimentary grumble in her closed door’s direction. Then there was relative quiet, aside from the sounds of people moving around the house. That she could ignore. So she was sinking back into deeper sleep when the bed shifted.

The russet-pelted counterpart gave a great yawn as Lexi blinked bleary eyes to focus on Sean. That first comment made her frown in puzzlement, but a slow smirk came forward. Well, what did he expect? She just woke up, for crying out loud!

“I’m going, I’m going. Hold your horses.”
A shake of sleep touseled hair to get it out of her face before she slipped out of bed in nothing but a pair of black panties. If she’d known someone was going to come wake her up, she’d have worn a shirt to bed, but it wasn’t as if Sean hadn’t seen the show before. Hell, most of the pack had seen the show and she wasn’t at all shy about her body.

So, she dug through one of her drawers to find her black bikini with the cream roses printed on it and then shuffled off to the bathroom to get a quick shower and brush her teeth. Not getting gussied up had its perks, the main one being that it only took her fifteen minutes to make herself presentable. Combing the tangles out of her hair, Lexi returned to her room to find the sarong she’d bought to go with the bikini.

Scrap of fabric tied at her hip, she reached over to grab the OJ he’d brought, then held her hand out to him. “Come on then, Sean, m’luv. Escort a girl to lunch, eh?” A wink as she linked arms with him after he’d gotten his OJ, too. Then they were off down the stairs to join everyone out back. Oh, and look! Memphis was at the bar with the alcoholic goodness! Excellent, she could just have him add a little vodka to her OJ and it would be perfect.

Still, rather than head that way, she released Sean and hung back, watching everyone. There was that familiar ache at the reminder that certain people weren’t with them, but she shoved it aside. She wasn’t going to spoil Leni’s barbecue by being gloomy.

The plane ride to Rome was the longest ever, coming from Hawaii to Cali then Rome he was so glad to be back home. Angel had missed everyone but he was happy to have been spending the time with family like visiting Mahina back in the islands and his dad in the states. The cab driver left him a block away from the house like always and would walk the rest of the way.

With the two suitcases in hand he walked to the front of the vineyard and stood in front of the doors taking in the sweet smell of meat cooking in the back. This made his stomach growl since he didn't  eat the nasty plane food. As the smell of food came thru his nostrils so did the smell of pack. Wolfie was up and about ready to spring out and see everyone.

Angel walked in and just dropped his luggage by the door, if Momma were still here she would have yelled at him for doing that for sure she would have made him take it to his room and then greet the pack. But he couldn't wait he just had to see them. Walking thru the kitchen into the backyard he saw Memphis making drinks and Vinny with Elena by his side at the grill and Ash.

Ash he was so anxious to see. To Angel, Ash was a great man that put himself in danger for his pack and was there when needed, Angel admired Ash for his strength as a leader and was glad to be in the pack he was Ulfric to. He came to where Ash was lounging about.

+ Hey there Ulfric did ya miss me?, and Mahina sends her love +
