Letter for the Primogen
Permalink Closed

How long had it been since that chance encounter at the Carnival? Too long. Lillian had grown far too busy, consumed with her ever-growing bakery business, Tiger Lily Cakes; she was in the process of opening up her own bakery/café. Lili had wonderful ideas for the location but there were cakes to be baked and weddings to cater and all sorts of busy things. However, she had accumulated enough funds by now to hire two other bakers, rather, apprentices. This meant that Lili had to spend a lot more time showing them the ropes instead of actually baking anything. But it was worth it – or at least she thought so. These two kids, fresh out of baking school were eager to learn and were happy to have a job. In other words, her business was showing promise.

…Though, at the back of her mind, there was Valentino; Valentino and his undeniably genuine gestures that spoke of a time long ago. Lillian wore the necklace he gave her every day to keep the memory fresh and real; keep it on the tips of her memory, unwilling to let it fade into oblivion. But, in his absence she had grown anxious, wondering the streets at the worst possible hours, hoping that he would sweep her off her feet in a damsel in distress sort of way. This fantasy of hers left Lili with little to no sleep and a terribly unhealthy sleeping cycle.  This horrible pattern had continued more than she would have liked with no sign of Tino. Which is why Lillian was now penning a letter to the Primogen, explaining just why she had been absent from the Roman social scene – though Lils doubted Valentino actually frequented the Roman social scene. The letter itself was a good two or three pages long, overflowing with bubbly cursive and even-more girly thoughts and feelings. At the end of the entire letter Lillian posed a request, a simple invitation to her home – not the Tiger’s residence, but the apartment she had in Town Square where she baked most, if not all of her goodies:

“…I would really like for you to see where I create my delicious goodies, maybe I will even give you a taste of the best goodie I have to offer…”

It was utterly flirtatious, but it would not be Lili if she didn’t push buttons, even if they did belong to the Primogen.

Happy with the end result and temporarily relieved of her anxiety, the letter was signed, sealed with a kiss and delivered to Valentino’s mailbox (or wherever he received his mail).
