There really was no warning. There would be no warning, one minute her father was safe in his Villa, eatting dinner across from Rosalie the next minute all hell broke loose. It wasn't really that hard to do. So many people hated her father, so many people wanted that power that he commanded so why not kill two birds with one stone. It was old as time. The typical double crossing.
Rosalie had sat across the long guilded table from her father as they picked at the elaborate meal laid out in front of both of them. Rosalie seemed perfectly at ease, chatting quietly as they ate. It was a comforting night, at least that's what it seemed on the surface. Dinner had been superb but not soon after Rosalie claiming an early night kissed her father on his forehead as he readied for desert.
"Have a good night father. I love you, always have. I hope I can make the Giovanni name as highly thought of as you." A bit cryptic but her father never thought twice. He didn't have too, he never in his wildest dreams had thought his own daughter, his flesh and blood would cross him so fully.
Once Rosalie was settled into her car she lifted one of those disposible cells from the seat beside her wearing her usual black gloves. The simple text. "Go" was all that was sent before the luxurious Maybach pulled away from the Villa.
She set the phone back down before pulling out her own cellphone and dialing the wife of the mayor. It was ideal chat, before she was put on the phone with the Mayor. Rosalie had the plan and the plan would work. There was no hiccups, nothing that could go wrong. The plans had been worked over for months, and every single one of the people entering her father's house knew all the little secrets. Even as she chatted with the mayor she ran over the situation in her head as she stared at the ticking clock located in the slightly jutting down roof compartment.
At 9:05 the team consisting of two paranormals, one vampire and two humans would storm the house taking out the guards. There was only six guards on duty that night, like most every night. It was so simple, almost too simple. Of course, the two humans where from another family. The perfect crime it seemed to frame the Belluci family for the death of her father. Her spies had been working with the Belluci family for months planning this, giving them all the information they needed. All the information to damn them.
Half way home, she lifted the disposable cellphone and rolled down the window and tossed it out into the street, letting it shatter as it hit the pavement. They might be able to trace the text back to the phone but there was no prints on it. They had made sure that even when it was purchased of course under a fake name and with cash that no one handled it without gloves on. Rolling up her window she chuckled at the Mayor as he suggested she should attend the new theatre openning later that week as his guest. Of course, Rosalie accepted.
9:21 - Her father had heard the gunshots and had risen from the table calling for his Capo, but he was no where to be found. Dead already, slaughtered by the vampire Kyoti. Kyoti was beyond loyal, she was family and the new Giovanni family had ties so tight it was as if they where bound together by more then just simple words.
9:49 - Rosalie finally said her goodbyes to the Mayor and glanced at Ruffello as they pulled into the gated area of her driveway. The very obvious van that sat outside along the street advertising laundry service was a constant reminder the police always watched and listened. However, she had her alibi. Her phone call and then the police seeing her at her house as she waited for the gate to slide open and allow her Maybach entrance.
10:23 - Settled into her arm chair with a first edition of Little Women in her hands she glanced up to see Kyoti striding into the living room. Rosalie lifted her eyes from the book and smiled at the vampire. A single nod was given as Rosalie's lips curled upwards just that much more into a very devious smile.
The two Belluci humans who had been tricked where killed, left for evidence for the police. Evidence that the Belluci family had been behind the killing of Don Giovanni. Who now lay on the dining room carpet, staining ancient oriental rug red with his blood. His chest loaded full of bullets and then finally his throat cut, nearly severed from his head. His limbs where bent at odd angles, nearly every bone in his body broken. Rosalie was very sure that it had been the most pain he had ever been in, in his whole life.
"Did he see you?" She asked Kyoti who had started taking her hair down out of the ponytail. The vampire nodded with a grin. Good, then her father knew at the last moment before his life was stolen from him, that his blessed daughter had been the one that had betrayed him and stole his glory.
And since she was the only one in his will, his title, his money, everything now became hers. Oh yes, life was grand. Lifting her book back up she continued reading, very sure that soon the phone would ring and she would be called to the police station and be questioned. Still, that alibi was air tight. The police that staked out her father's house had seen her leave, the mayor himself has spoken to her as the killing had gone on and the police had seen her arrive at her house. The police would never have seen Kyoti and her team, they of course entered via the tunnels beneath the Villa that only three people knew about, two of which had been killed that night. Ah... life was truely grand.
