One would almost not recognize the Alysum as it was looked now.   Rotting boards and disintergrated walls had been torn out and from the bottom basement level to the very attic and roof it had been remodeled.   It had taken a damn near army to do it as well.   The last of the checks had been signed and the Builder had greatfully disappeared with his crew in his van.

Hands where folded behind her back as she stood in the main area of the Asylum, just listening.  It was an eerie quiet that didn't seem to fit.  Amber gaze lifted toward the archway that would be one of the two doorways into her part of the Asylum.  Turning slowly she headed toward what would be a gallery in the near future.  Head jerked up as a shadow danced out of her periphrials, before she turned.  Nose lifted faintly inhaling, followed swiftly by a sneeze.

Thinking herself over reacting she shook her head and turned back to the archway before gliding into it.   The Gallery section was by far much, much smaller.  But she didn't need much room to have a nice gallery, hell she had done it in Hawaii she could go it here.   Three levels, no stairs hmmm.  One elevator would not be conductive to business.  Scanning the lower level she pointed at a courner and directed it upwards in her mind trying to figure which would be a good place for stairs.

BOOM!

Loke nearly came out of her skin and sadly gave one of those little girly "eeps" as she startled herself.   Amber gold eyes widdened, feeling the hairs on her arms raise following by the hair on her neck.  Yeah time to go.

She wasn't a chicken per say, but she had a thing about Ghosts.  She didn't really like them, the thought of it scared her.  Which was ironic since she could call the munin at times when it was needed.  Booted feet ended up crunching on to the broken pavement outside as she looked up at the Aslyum.   Yeah maybe a crazy house wasn't the best idea for a gallery.

"Is this a usual habit of yours darlin'?. Pickin' strange places in the middle of the night to visit?". Words that were spoken in a quiet voice before the owner of the voice stepped into view behind Loke. West had been out for a walk in hopes to ease the restless dreaming when he had spotted her. He hadn't bothered to put a coat on since the wolf beneath the skin kept that body of his at a constant furnace level. No more complaining about the cold from this cowboy and it was nice to think on how much the man saved on utility bills alone.  West followed behind Loke in order to keep a eye on her, call him old fashioned cause the man still believed in escorting a woman around after sunset.

Not that any doubt lingered in his mind that Loke could not take care of herself it was just those darn mannerisms of his. Which was also kind of funny since at one time the southern gent had been a ruthless killer for his old pack. At first West had been content to just follow with out her knowing. He would make sure everything was alright then report back to the pack house for a drink or two and if Ash was around perhaps the two could sit around for a bit of a spell and hash out old stories.Yeah that sounded nice. West still needed to meet up with others in the pack,  and those he met so far seemed interesting. West's plans changed the moment his wolf had tasted the fear rolling off of Loke. It acted as a magnet and stirred the wolf to life drawling him near. Dressed in a faded pair of blue jeans with the knees torn out he moved to stand at her side. As for a shirt he wore a old brown flannel that hung open to reveal the black wife beater beneath. Hands that were large and calloused rested in his pocket with his thumbs sticking out and brushing the belt loops.

Friendly smile curled his lips in greeting and it would have been followed by a tilt of his hat if a certain female fox hadn't taken to keeping said hat. Later he'd pay Lexie a visit, there were always ways of persuading a female yet in the back of his mind he knew she'd be a feisty force to be reckoned with. He was fixin' to get her a hat all her own, this new family of his was proving thus far to be the most interesting and West could not wait for the days to come. Chartreuse eyes bled with a mixture of Amber and Brown as the beast he owned stood ready and hell bent on protecting. One hand came away slowly from a pocket to brush past her vision allowing her to see it before it curled around to be placed on the back of her head. Fingers bunched gently in her hair and it was followed by slight pressure as he drew her head in to meet with his own bent head. It was a playful tap of his forehead to hers. He drew away giving her hair a playful tossel, he dropped that hand back to his side. "If it is ya' may want to consider getting yer'self some sort of guide. This whole area has nae been the safest ya' know?.

"What are ya' doing here if I may ask baby doll'?. West spared a look toward the building in which she had exited and then looked back to her.

As if the first "eep" she had given inside wasn't bad enough the one she gave outside was just horrible.  She nearly did leap out of her skin as West spoke up.  She wasn't expecting anyone to be out let alone here at the Asylum.   The few feet she had jumped was embarressing but she was all keyed up spooked something fierce by the noises inside the empty building.  And of course, it had to be West.  Amber gaze watched him, not completely trusting the male.  Her pulse was wild in her throat and the rapid beat of her heart beat echoed in her ears for a long minute as he moved closer out of the darkness.

"Ah...I.. No, I was just coming to look it over. "  Yes, in the dark.  Not that it really mattered much to her.  Dark, Light, either way she could see fine.  Hands found there way into her front pockets in an effort to keep them to herself.  Especially when he got closer.  For a moment she got a little grumpy with his swelling macho movements of moving up to her side to protect her.  She never needed anyone to protect her.  Her lips twitched in an effort to expose her teeth in a snarl at him but she managed to simply just twitch her lips before she blew out a held in breath.

Hands clentched into fists as his hand touched her hair and bumped her forehead to his forcing herself to meet his own amber colored eyes.  She with drew from the closeness of his body and reached up to touch her forehead.  "Why do you do that?"  Slightly accusing tone in her voice as she rubbed her forehead.  It's not like she didn't like it, but it reminded her of home.  And there was no home anymore.  Hawaii was gone.   She frowned slightly and looked back up at the Aslyum and it's blank windowless front.  Still so much work to do.

"Silent and I are partners in this place.  She's creating a club in most of it or something like a club.  I'm not sure.."  She pointed to the left side.  "But that side will be my Art Gallery.  The renovation crew just left today I was just coming to look around.  And I don't need you to protect me, thank you.  I'm very capable of doing it myself."  She lifted her chin in what she hoped looking like arrogence.

BOOM, CLANK, CLANK!

Loke's skin faultered in color as she skittered back farther away from the building intentionally putting West between herself and the building.  She gave the building a very untrusting look with those wolf eyes.  Hair stood on end as she found herself breathing hard.

"I... I just don't like ghosts is all."

West watched her closely the whole time trying his damndest not to laugh at her being jumpy. He found it strangely cute that a woman such as her, one who put up such a brave front could be so scared of a ghost. Not that he blamed her on that one since he himself was nae fond of them. His red wolf stayed close to the surface it was probably just as about old fashion as himself. The two of them did nae agree on much but the whole being there for a lady thing never faltered in it's direction. No matter how much the damsel snubbed him. The southern gent reckoned this was a tad different since Loke was hardly a woman in distress and her power surrounded the doll like a shield. King Arthur himself may have been mighty proud to have such a spit fire around his table. If the female and her beast didn't take to neutering the bunch of them.

Yessum', he would bet his best brandy that Loke could out do her fair share and then sum. His gaze traveled down the outline of her body to meet with the closed fists and if he did nae know any better then he could have sworn he hit a button some where with the saucy filly. West watched her until she touched a hand to her own forehead and then directed his attention to the ghost house across from them. The question would come and even though the cowboy prepared for it he knew it would come with a price. His own hands took their turn curling into fists for a second or two and then easily he rolled his shoulders, gave a soft sigh and turned his head a little to look at Loke from the corner of his eye.

"I reckon it's cause ya' remind me of someone. Or more like someting' she did"

His Amber eyes now avoided hers and a shadow seemed to fall over his face. A strange stirring of color embraced those rich yellow depths. It was filled with years, pain and knowledge of things best left unsaid. That rough baritone of his rolled with accent as he spoke again.

"I can stop if ya' wish ginger snap. Just know darlin' that I know what it means and I do it with respect and nae to chide ya' or any thang like that.

He turned and stepped into her not quite touching but allowing her to feel the power behind his human skin. The red wolf bathed in it and offered up warmth along with family tidings. The aurora of his essence was warm and inviting. The smell of honey suckle, dew on grass, and oddly enough sea salt. The expression in his eyes was soft and so very patient. The cow tippin' horse rancher turned back to be at her side as he listened quietly to her speak.West could not help it he cracked a smile at her bravado. Such determined words and the chin lift added to her already interesting character.

Then the ear splitting noise broke up her strong act. He was a gentle man and did not gloat or think to rub it in her face when she took a place behind him instead he rubbed the smile of his face before looking over his shoulder at her. A wink given.

"I hear ya' there darlin', all the same how about ya' join me for a walk?. I need protecting and ya' need a fellow willing to place himself between you and the ghosts. So shall we?."

Not that West needed protecting but he would not think to pick on her when the fear of ghostly things was evident. He could nae leave her like this so he would not touch at her pride and instead make himself look below his station in order to appease the Hawaiin baby doll. The grin was genuine with no hidden motives as the cowboy crooked his arm and waited for her to take his arm.

"What says ya' Loke. Will ya' escort this man around a bit?".

Amber gaze stayed locked on the "haunted house" as if she thought it was going to reach out and grab her.  It was a seriously irrational fear but one she had had since childhood.  Ghosts as a rule scared the hell out of her.  Not even being a big bad werewolf would stop her from running in fear.   Hand moved to her throat feeling the pulse of her heart beat behind her fingers.   She heard West but really hadn't "heard him" yet.  It took a few minutes for all that he had said to sink in.  When she did finally play back in her head what he had said and his own tightened fists, she frowned.  Eyes peeling away from the asylum and to his face.

"The only people who touch foreheads are the Moari of New Zealand and Hawaiians.  And since you don't seem the type to be from New Zealand, I'm assuming you knew a Hawaiian who thought of you as family."  She looked down for a moment, working this out farther in her head.  He didn't seem like the type to be into Brokeback Mountain so she really doubted that he had met a male and touched foreheads with him.  So female it was.  She glanced up at him, head tilted slightly.  "She must have loved you."  She said it quietly because she didn't want to be abressive if this was a touchy subject for him.

She wanted to explain to him, she wasn't this mystery woman he spoke of, that while she might remind him of her, she was not her.  Too many hang ups and issues.  She licked at her top lip for a moment as he offered up his arm.  It caused the fur of her black bitch to raise slightly, which was followed by a sigh.

"How about this instead?"  She openned up her hand to him, offering him her hand.  The hand was much less dominant in a pose as taking someone's arm.   It seemed sometimes one step forward and one step back.  But at least now she realized she needed to work on that.  Instead of letting it happen and build and overflow. Lokelani Asing, work in progress.

West looked up to cast a reflective gaze over the night's sky as he waited to see if she would take his arm or refuse it. He would not push the woman after all he was a very patient man and figured she had her own troubles to deal with wether they be past ones or current ones only she could say. How did the old saying go that his pa' use to say. Time heals all wounds. Oh how the southern man wished it was true in all cases. He was just about to drop his arm when she spoke up and her words alone caused the cowboy to pause. At first he thought not to answer her but it seemed that Loke was trying to get to know him despite the fact that it set her wolf on edge. So West figured if Loke could give a little at a time then so be it so could he West reckoned.

"Ya' no New Zeanlander here. Born country fied heart and soul".

West grew quiet after that and it seemed the man was reserved on not talking for the rest of the night. Frankly he was nae sure how to answer her because one he started talking about the past he was nae sure he could keep the memories from over flooding him. West hoped Loke did nae get the wrong idea with his earlier blunder about her reminding him of someone. Both his deceased wife and Loke were two completely different women. His wife had been meek and shy where Loke was strong and determined. It was just when he had first saw her he had saw the heritage behind her and it had caused the gent to remember a time when he had known a family tradition.

The southern gent dropped his arm and looked back to Loke meeting the woman's eyes when she offered her his hand. West studied her closely taking in anything and everything from the beating of her heart to the lick of her top lip. That red wolf of his stayed stilled when the black wolf rasied it's fur. Both waited and West could not help but remember sum thing else his pa' told him. Victory comes to those who are patient. There was more to it then that he knew but at the time it been told to him the cow tippin' gent had been to far piss drunk in moonshine to remember. Even so West would not count his chickens before they were hatched.

"I reckon that will do mighty nicely".

West leaned it to extend his own large hand and when it was a inch from hers he paused still holding her gaze with his own he spoke quietly.

"I knew one from there."

The lines on West's face became strained and he had to swallow past the lump that threated to choke him. As a rule to himself he did nae speak of his past wife. His finger tips now brushed the tips of Loke's fingers.

"My wife, god please her soul. And yes she did or so I hope. I can nae speak for her now since she's gone but I loved her".

His hand closed around hers and he offered a soft smile that spoke of inner sadness and demons left best undisturbed. Then with his other hand he motioned it to the left and then started to walk leading her gently to the side of him. Their shoulders bumped a time or two as they walked and when the silence became never ending he spoke.

"A side from the spooks inside ya' and your partners building how does your gallery to be look?. And are ya' yerself a artist?. Or is it other people's work ya' feature?".

See nothing harmful about holding hands with someone, even if that someone was a hot blooded male wolf that was sexy and... She cut the inner babble in her head with a shake of her head as she let her fingers close around his.  His skin was as hot as her own and his own hands bore roughness scars of the life of a farmer.  She had her own scars and little faults on her fingers but she was content with this.  It didn't cause the black bitch that watched through her eyes to bristle in aggitation.  Sure the black female was interested but she was interested from a distance.

Loke looked up at him as he spoke affirming he wasn't from New Zealand.  She smirked faintly, if he had been.. well Loke would have been all over that like white on rice.  At least she liked to think that, but that probably wasn't true either.  Loke wasn't averse to the silence between them, it was comfortable.  She didn't need to fill the silence with endless prattling or talking that really didn't mean anything.

She even stayed silent for a few minutes after he stated his deceased wife was of Hawaiian Heritage.  She felt the pain leaking off him, the remorse and brushed her shoulder against his slightly.  As big and bad as Loke often put on, she was the ultimate softy.

"She loved you."  Not that Loke truely knew but anyone that knew the custom knew it wasn't a light hearted gesture.  It meant something.  Often enough she had done that to Evie and relished the relationship they shared.  Loke spoke softly her arm resting against his own as they walked at that sedate pace.

"I know I haven't been the nicest person since you got the pack house, and i'm sorry about that.  I'm... well I've had a lot to deal with, personality issues and such.  So I'm sorry if I've put you off, it's just that... when you did that I didn't expect it.  And with Hawaii.. being Gone now."  She swallowed once, blinking rapidly as she glanced upwards at the night sky.  "It just startled me. Made me remember how much I lost how many people wouldn't leave before it blew."  She frowned slightly but then shook it off and managed to dredge up a tiny smile.

"I'm an Artist. Tattoo Artist by training, All around artist by talent.  I had a gallery in Hawaii, but most of my stuff is in storage here in Rome.  I've just been waiting to open a new place."  There was a comfort there, suddenly, no aggression, no anger, just two people talking and it was okay.

This is the type of situation Loke strived for, worked for, was still working for.  That easy comfort that Anya seemed to have always.  She wanted that, wanted to feel completely okay with a pack member even if she didn't know them for a while.

"She loved you". words that flowed like nectar off of a flower. The words spoke from Loke caused a strange tightness in his chest. West had stopped in their walk but did nae look at her instead he just nodded and then moved on in a even slower pace loosing himself for a minute in the simplicity of her voice. It was a comforting one and helped to ease the inner turmoil inside that he did his damndest to hide. It also had the opposite effect which hadn't taken the southern gent by surprise. True enough the two had body heat hot enough to warm a house or two but something had sparked before their hands clasped and it was at a time like this that West wished he was a mind reader.

Somethin' had Loke's mind a turnin' at first. Both West and Red had felt it and it darn near caused a whole other kind of fire to erupt. Restrain was the key word here and he'd do his best to remember it even though both his traitorous body and beast had other things in mind. Beautiful yes indeedy and a pistol he reckoned she was. The heat he felt got turned down a level or two when she had spoke those words in a attempt to make West feel better. It may cost the woman her rough exterior look to show the more affectionate one beneath but it touched him all the same that she would allow him that peek of the sweet natured woman she so often kept under lock and key.

His thumb brushed a soft caress over one of her fingers.

"Thank ya' darlin'.That means a lot".

The walk continued on leading them to one of Rome's many fountains. He turned them toward it and listened on as she continued to speak. As she apologized the pain spilled out of her causing him to bring them both to a stop at the fountains edge. He turned to look at her though did nae relinquish the hold on her hand. Loke's hand was given a comforting squeeze.

"Loke".

West had tried to stop her from apologizing because she did nae owe him a explanation for her actions toward him but still he was touched and very appreciative for it. Then her voice seemed to crack on the word Hawaii and up she looked to chase those unshed tears away. The pain was raw and it called out to him so he brought his other hand up to cover over the one she had locked in his other hand. Heat came off of him in waves to bath along her skin. The scent of the country man was strong and unyielding in it's silent embrace. He stood there holding to her hand while that second was taken for her to either cry or pretend she was alright. Loke chose the latter of the two and West inwardly found himself feeling admiration toward her. She had every right to cry since so much had been lost to her but like himself she kept it all in check. Then that smile came and he allowed on of his own. He would have taken her in his arms had he thought she would have allowed it and let her shed tears.

Hand lifted up and with his index finger he touched the corner of her lip where the smile had began.

"'taahua''.    (Beautiful)

His hand then fell away from her face.

"Do nae fret baby doll. I understand and do nae blame ya' or hold a grudge over any thang. Scout's honor.".

Comfort given, comfort taken.  It was perfect, or as perfect as it could be.  Amber gaze focused on West's own wolf eyes as he touched her lips.  The smile lingered as he spoke Hawaiian to her.  So strange to hear her native tongue coming out of the cowboys lips all twangy and countrified.  She swallowed down the sudden heat the rushed up from her stomach.  There was no longer a simple smolder but a raging fire, and it took a lot of concentration on her part to control it.

She hadn't realized he sat on the edge of the fountain or that they had moved into some place with a fountain until he had tugged at her hand.  She settled folding her legs and turning her eyes upward, searching looking in the nigh sky for "her" North Star.

"Your talented, you got Puppy to sit after just meeting him.  And he hardly listens to me.  I would call that talent.  Not the mention, your head didn't explode when you where faced with Rad B, Lex and Myself.  Talent!"  Loke's lips curled upwards, as he released her hand.  She let her hand drop down to the edge of the fountain as she leaned back on her palms.  Although him rustling around in his pocket had her turning her head slightly to look at him curiously.

She watched his fingers moving and then when his hand moved her own moved.  She stared almost in horror at the necklace set in her hand.  It wasn't in horror though, just shock.   His words, barily made any sense to her.  For the moment, all she could do was stare at the necklace before the heat rose in a new way.  It boiled behind her eyes, pricking at them viciously till the first big fat tear started it's trek down her cheek.  Fingers closed around the necklace as she pulled her hand to her chest and craddled it against her other.  She couldn't stop them from coming, so she simply lowered her head and let the tears come.

She couldn't answer his teasing wink and question about getting inked.  If she openned her mouth it would be all over.

West thought back to when he had first arrived at the pack house. Loke was right that had been one hell of a mind blower. Of all things the gent had nae thought to be greeted by three females. Two who had been soak and wet. And another who had been dressed to kill. Talk about every feller's erotic fantasy come to life. It had been topped off the charts by hands on his back end. A grin picked at his lips again until he turned his head to lay his sights back on the woman beside him. Eyes locked on the single tear and they blazed a trail down her face watching the path it took.

Every instinct in him yelled out for him to collect her into his arms. The cowboy felt conflicted by uncertainty though because he hadn't held a woman for so long and was nae sure how Loke would react to his attempt to comfort her. The pain she kept was raw so very much like his own and she needed this release. West stared at her and could not for the life of him remember a time where he had ever felt so helpless. He was a strong man but all strong men had their weaknesses and if ever there had been one for West it would be the sight of a woman crying. Now here he was trapped and the wolf paced anxiously calling out to her black one. It pushed at West till the horse ranching cowboy felt his skin itch and he could do no other then to give in.

"Baby doll' '.

He felt a hand curl around the stone of the fountain's edge. The other had moved out despite his eternal struggling. It shook with his need to aid her and just as it nearly closed the distance on her cheek Loke lowered her head causing his hand to miss and though that calloused hand of his did not meet with the softness of skin it did catch the tear drop that rolled off of her. He whispered her name soothingly and then the hand moved to lay along her shoulder. West felt rather useless with it there since what good could a pat or two do?.The hand on her shoulder curled and then he pulled her just as his other hand left the edge to slip faster then the eye to rest beneath her knees.

"Do nae smack me darlin but I have nae choice in this because yer tears are quite frankly breaking me heart.'"

A low lift and she was placed on his lap the hand that had been on her shoulder moved to touch the back of her head. West used the hand to push her head to his shoulder. The arm under her legs moved so that he could wrap that arm around her waist. West had no ill intentions toward her he had simply wanted to offer comfort.

"That's it Lani, do nae hold back."

West brought his head down to rest his chin against the top of her head. Hand rubbed slowly at her back then came up to draw fingers through her hair. Soothing words he whispered never once did he touch her improperly. His eyes closed just as it began to sprinkle rain. West did not seem to notice the drops of water after all he was used to the water. All in all he was just a backwoods boy holding a fairy tale princess.

The dam that she had built to protect herself from the onslaught of memories, feelings and emotions buckled once and then broke completely.  She gave a stangled cry when his hand touched her shoulder and she hunched herself more around the necklace clutched in her hand in a loving grasp.  The sadness tore out of her causing her to truely weep.  Every ounce of pain came tearing out of her in painful wracking sobs.  She couldn't stop it, it was like a sudden flash flood.  It truely hurt, to cry that hard.  She wept for the loss of her family, her culture, her people, her homeland.  Wept for those that would not leave and that still believed the Goddess Pele would save them.  And mostly wept for the future of her people, a people left homeless with no Paradise to call there own anymore.

She didn't stiffen as West moved closer nor did she react wildly when he lifted her to his lap.  Her head came to rest on his shoulder without definance.  One hand loosened from the grip on the other one to curl into the fabric of his shirt.  The black bitch inside lifted it's muzzle in anguish of it's human counterpart and let out a heart piercing howl.

Loke wanted to clamp her hands over her ears as if the howl was right beside her, but the howl reveberated through her soul.  Her wolf shared her grief and pain echoing her tears the only way it could through the sound of it's voice.

It was nearly a half hour later when she realized her hair was dripping wet and her clothing was nearly soaked.  The tears had come and gone, dried up leaving her feeling raw and stiff.  Still her eyes burned even if it was the aftermath of the cry fest.  The sniffling had finally stopped and a sort of numbness blanketed her and her feelings.  It was then she realized she was sitting in West's lap, clutching him like a lifeline and his hands where touching her.  At that moment, she might have instantly withdrawn and put up the walls again, throwing that tough exterior back up.  But instead she simply lifted her head the hand on his shirt loosening and reaching up to cup the back of his head.  She drew his face down to her own and with the flicker of her dark damp lashes closed her eyes and touched her forehead to his own.

Fingertips where a warm gentle touch as she found the closed off place in her head openning as she finally accepted him.  It was tough with her, always trying to keep people out, to lock herself and her emotions up.  The tempest when her emotions brust free was never pretty.  Slipping her skin, the tear-fest she just had or a fit of rage that could destroy forests in her path.  But now, she was able to accept him fully as pack, as friend and as family.  Fingers moved from his neck and fell into her lap as she leaned back to look at him. Her voice slightly rough from the weep-a-thon.

"Thank you."

That single howl of Loke's wolf was followed by that of his red's. A single heart breaking sound turned quickly into a full blown chorus of pain that could never be truly dictated in to words alone. Using his own beast he allowed her hurt to become his own and their duet of inter joining howls continued long and far in to the night's endless supply of clouds. Her cries tore through him and when her head had touched his shoulder there had been no sign of fight in her which proved to West just how much her inner turmoil was. There was not much the gent could do other then to hold her since it was a battle that only she could fight. Only her will to let go and grieve could set her free and even though he could not help her in some regards he could do the next best thing which was to hold on, ride the roller coaster with her and not leave her alone.

His eyes remained closed as she cried on. When Loke curled her hand in the material of his shirt he nearly lost it. With both his wolf and human self playing havoc on him it was hard to tell where one end of them began and the other ended. So close and connected to the woman he felt himself become some what protective over her. A emotion that West did nae understand nor could explain. The hand that he had in her hair fell  to wrap around the one she clutched to her heart. The cowboy held it locked there over it helping her to hold on to that small piece of a lost but never forgotten island. His arm tightened around her nearly crushing Loke to his chest. Time seem to stand still during that half an hour and though he had tried to shield her the best he could from the on slaught of rain they had still both ended up soak and wet.

West saw the moment of acceptance when her head finally lifted and she looked to him with such beautiful swollen eyes. Never had the southern gent been gifted with a more prettier sight. Silent he remained as her hand with drew from his shirt. His breath seemed to catch in his throat when her hand met the back of his head and when she pulled his face toward hers there was no resistance in him. At first West thought she was going to kiss him not like he'd have been opposed to it and he'd be lying if he said he hadn't thought of it but it was not a kiss it was the gentle touching of their fore heads which meant more then he could say. He knew what it meant for her to do such a thing and the simple yet beautiful gesture touched a part in the cowboy that he thought long dead.

West stared at her closed eyes for a second before he let his own close. He said not a word as her fingers rained heat down along his neck and when he felt her lean back he opened his eyes to stare at her.

"Yer welcome sweet heart".

West kept a arm around her and with a free hand he touched once more to the hand in where his gift to her rested. Gently his fingers brushed against her fingers till they opened and then he took it from her to replace it over her head. Eyes lowered to watch the jade stone as it came to rest against the skin of her neck. Hand rose as did his eyes the hand he cupped ever so softly against her cheek just as his eyes met hers.West leaned in and pressed a kiss first to her fore head then as his face lowered he let his fore head touch hers and pressed a kiss to her cheek. Temptation was great but he held to his restraints even though his body burned with a unrelenting ache stirred to life by some un known call he could not identify

"It suits ya'".

West stood up suddenly his arms locking around her as he cradled her against his chest. He walked slowly looking around for some place that they could dry off at. Head lowered and his mouth brushed the top of her head as he spoke quietly.

"Do ya' feel any better Lani?. If nae then rest on me darlin' I dun mind".

"Loke, call me Loke."

Even in the aftermath of the tears and sobbing she felt more aware.  Perhaps because her shields where for the moment down and pulsing with the thrum of her heartbeat.  As dominant as her black bitch was she was behaving herself amazingly, not trying to bully West's own red wolf or nip at it in aggitation.  But because Loke had accepted him she too, that black bitch now accepted his own red wolf.

She didn't resist as he took the necklace and set it over her head.  She reached up pulling her hair free as it settled against the skin of her neck and her fingertips played along it softly.  Coughing slightly she managed to clear the roughness out of her voice as she spoke as he stated it suited her.

"It's beautiful."

Loke was completely unaware of the sexual tension she might be causing West.  Though when his lips touched her forehead she found herself smiling, and when his lips touched her cheeks they flamed brightly and even more hotter then her skin should be.  She gave one of those disgustingly startled girly squeeks when he stood suddenly, which was silly because he could bench press a Caddy, she really didn't have to fear being dropped.

"You can put me down, I'm okay now.  I think I'm all cried out for now."  Her hand had gripped his shoulder tightly not wanting to end up taking a tailbone against the cement.  That and the sudden realization he was carrying her, like some kind of princess, or a weak willed woman.  Either one didn't sit well for the moment.  She bit at the courner of her lip as she managed to get one of her legs out of his arm and settle her booted foot on the cement before she was able to stand by herself.    She took two steps back from him and gave herself a very wolf like shake before she gathered her wet hair and pulled it back off her face and with nimble fingers wove it into a single thick plait.  She slipped the band off her wrist and captured the end of the braid before tossing it over her back.

"We should head back to the pack house, a pair of sweats and maybe some hot tea sounds just about right, right now."  And she so wanted to talk to Bianca, and Llids if she was back.  That woman disappeared like a ghost at times.  Ohhh and if Evie was already set she would be included in the serious girl talk.  Just now realizing just how much of a charge was zapping through her skin at the faintest touch to West's shoulder.  So weird!!  She had been so devoted to Marcus for so long this long forgotten feeling felt ... alien.

A simple nod had been given to her when she made a point of telling him to call her Loke. How very interesting the woman was with the flaming of her cheeks to the high pitched sound that had slipped her when he took to sweeping her off of her feet. Her weight was nothing to him and secretly he revealed in the warmth of her skin against his despite their soaked clothing. West wondered how long she'd let him carry her but did not have to wait to long for her interjection  Even though he knew it would come it did not stop the cowboy from giving Loke a playful puppy dog stare.

The look fell from his face when Loke's hand took to squeezing along his shoulder. The touch sent a whirl wind of emotions through him and for a split second those Amber eyes of his had flared to life holding with in their depths a inkling of awareness. His head remained high as that gaze dropped to catch the bite she delivered to that succulent looking lip of hers. West did nae say a word as she went about exiting his arms all by herself. When she stepped away to shake like a dog he grinned in her direction his broad shoulders rolling in a shrug of nonchalance.

"As ya' wish darlin'".

The southern gent's hand reached out to catch her's in a curl of fingers. He did nae look back to gauge her reaction, he just headed on toward the pack house pulling her gently behind him urging her to keep up in pace. So many thoughts running through his head and though he tried to sort through them it was hard to understand the answers when all he could do at the moment was feel the silk of the woman's hand behind him.

"Ya' know I can nae decide which side of ya' is prettier. The rough exterior ya' throw up or the true softness beneath it.".

West said no more for awhile as they walked toward their destination. His free hand reached up to catch a rose from a passing vendor and then he was off pulling her along still not saying another word until they reached the door of the pack house. Only then did he pause with her there on the door step. Chartreuse eyes caught to her own and with the look came another grin followed by him leaning in to brush the petal side of the rose against the softness of Loke's cheek. His mouth hovered near hers as he whispered out.

"Ya' remind of a rose. Thorns on the out side but such softness and beauty on the inside. One need only to look past yer thorns to see ya' flourish in all yer glory."

He gently touched his forhead to her's then the rose was placed in her braided hair. He turned the door knob then stepped aside to allow her entrance first.

"I'm mighty obliged for ya' company tonight. If ya' give me a moment to change I reckon I'll join ya' back in the kitchen if yer invitation still stands".

A slight grin crossed her lips, hidden from West's eyes as he reached back and caught her fingers in his.  She couldn't help it, it felt really nice.  Booted fet moved in an effort to keep pace before she settled into a natural step beside him, hip and shoulder brushing his own occasionally.  "Not many see the soft side. " That slight touch was enough to have the inner babble of her head going wild.  She lapsed into silence, chewing at her lip as she went head long into mental battle.

He's not a bad guy, and he's been exceptionally nice to you even though you've been a bitch.  He has been nothing but understanding, and he hasn't been less then a gentleman the whole time.   Loke sighed for a moment.  Not saying that you DO want him to be a gentleman but you know you would have freaked if he'd been anything less then a gentleman with you out right.

Amber eyes lifted as he caught the rose in his hand.  Eyes unfocused as she simply kept moving.  You should do it.  When are you ever going to get another chance? He's a flirt, it's nothing binding.  Just once.  Her head lifted as the light on the front of the pack house started to illuminate things.

She was slightly startled that they had gotten there so fast.  Then again with the inner debate she was having, well she had kind of lost track of time.  She slowed when he did, not yet giving up her faint grip on his hand.  Amber eyes lifted to his own, chin lifting slightly as the decision was made.  Heat beat through her skin suddenly once his fingers settled the rose into her hair.

Releasing his hand she took a deep breath and took the one needed step to press herself as close as she would risk.  Hands reached up one catching the back of his neck the other his cheek as she rolled herself on to her toes and set her lips against his.  The inner babbling of her voice went quiet as power and heat rolled off her for a split second before her shields solidified and the leaking disappeared.  It was a simple Chaste kiss, soft and gentle and like all chaste kisses was over too soon.

Cheeks where a bright red as she stepped back letting he hands fall away from him as she drew her tongue over her lips tasting him on them.  "Thanks again."

She would make her getaway given the chance, shower and hide in her room till he went to bed.  Or if luck would have it, find one of the girls and just gush.  But she wasn't going to run away like she'd done something wrong.  Oh heck no.

All words were lost on West the moment Loke took to fastening a hand behind his neck. She had stepped in to close that distance between them but never had the gent expected what had happened next. Not that he hadn't wanted it, but still he hadn't thought she would do it so he hadn't even tried to kiss her.  Her first hand was followed by one to his cheek and with that soft contact came a want so strong it bewildered him. True the cowboy was a flirt and had his share of women in the past but after the incident that caused the death of his wife he had kept himself distant from women.

"Loke".

Her name had been said in a whisper before those lips of her's met with his causing him to nearly groan out loud. The heat rolled off of her to crash on to him and with it came the stirrings of his own personal inferno. A storm of power whipped through him faster then any bull had ever thrown him in a rodeo and just as quickly as it had come to life it died away with the absence of her lips. West wanted to throw back his head and give in to that inner beast. Running naked and howling out his frustration would be the only hope he had of calming himself after he had been given that heavenly taste of her mouth.

Eyes held to hers until she licked her lips and the mere sight of her tasting him on her lips was enough to cause him to groan and curse under his breath. A inner growl came as the wolf urged him forward demanding the man to take what he wanted and what the wolf be lived was rightfully his. West did nae understand the want to claim her as a mate. Perhaps the red had been lonely for way to long or it saw something in the black that the man himself had yet to understand. Hell it was probably just a one night thing but still why did the southern' gent feel so?. For now the man ignored the wolf and did what he wanted to do from the first moment he had laid eyes on the woman.

"Prepare yer'self me darlin' cause I'm fixin' to take claim to that purdy mouth of yours".

A hand came out to fan it's self over her stomach. It held there for a brief pause then slipped down to grasp the waist band of her pants, he tugged her to him the hand only releasing once her body touched to his. And once he had her pressed to him he slid that hand back to encircle her waist with a arm. The other hand came up to brush fingers first to her cheek then as he dipped his head they moved to the back of her head to hold her steady as his mouth took to brandishing her mouth with his own chaste kiss that quickly grew in depths when he took to trying to part her lips with a soothing caress of his tongue. Silently he demanded entrance to the sweet cavern of her mouth with kiss after lingering kiss the heat growing and rolling around to push it's self on to her while in his mind he whispered words to her.

"Open for me aroha". (love)

Bianca gagged. It wasn't a lady like gesture by any stretch of the imagination, but at least that's all she did.  The window sill she was leaning on squeaked in what she could only translate as agreement. While Loke and West exchanged genetic material the house watched them with its many glass eyes. Some were half lidded with blinds and curtains and some were open wide. Like the one Bianca was using.  There was nothing good on TV so when she went to check the status of the sky above Bianca managed to stumble on a miniature after school special right outside her window. Talk about hitting the Jackpot.  She was waiting for the clothes to start coming off but the weird vibes Loke was throwing out were enough to make the woman in her sympathize. Bianca wasn't subtle, she wasn't a prim and proper lady and she was by every a cock-tease (and just a little slutty. Let's be honest its not that great a secret,) but she was a woman first. Werewolf or not. Actually being a werewolf just honed those 7th sense "sister female in distress" almost all girls were born with.  Demon deals or not...  And Loke was Not! Not putting out that is. But she was thinking about it. That much was obvious and with that would come the morning after regrets and there just wasn't that much ice cream in the house.  With a loud, martyred sigh, Bianca pulled away from the peep show and triple timed it down the stairs to the front door.  Of course she had to get the timing juuuuuuust right.

While the two were getting hot and heavy, Bianca was thinking of what to say.  Then threw the script out the window and rushed into the kitchen where she grabbed the biggest mug they had (an over sized latte/small washbasin cup), filled it with water (cold of course) and rushed back to the front door. Stomping her feet and laughing as she carried on half a conversation with the  invisible people that lived only inside her strange, dark imagination. Reaching out she set her hand on the doorknob and turning her body to "the other person" Bianca yanked the door open. "And then I said! I don't bite Assholes I KICK themwhaaaaaaaaaaaa...."  Clearly shocked, surprised, and shocked some more to see people on the other side of the door, Bianca stumbled and jerked her "cup" up and then down which wasn't much of an effect. It did launch the water all over hormonal duo on the other side of the threshold.

Most of it landed on Loke though. Mostly because she was closer. But West got a face full too.  Which actually surprised Bianca, she didn't expect the "cup" to hold THAT much water. But it did. "Ooooooooooops.  Mah bad!"  And yet somehow Bianca didn't sound at all sorry. It was probably the grin that gave it away.

The redhead had just enough time to dodge out of Loke's way before she became hallway pizza, and just grinned as she watched Loke mutter some things which were probably not at all flattering towards the redheaded she wolf. "Byeeeeeee Loke! Sorry I got you all weeeeeet!"

Like hell she was.  With Loke off cursing Bianca's birth, her ancestors and men (at least she assumed that's what the last part sounded like) Bianca turned her attention to West who stood there like a yummy pop sickle who only got two licks instead of three. "Well, well, well what do we have here."  Grinning like a piranah, Bianca leaned one shoulder against the doorframe and gave the cowboy a once over, letting  a bit of fang peek out when she settled on his "belt buckle." "Big bad wolf trying to chase down little red riding hood? Hmmm?" Looking up (it took effort, trust me) Bianca waggled her eyebrows at him and then lurched forward, slipping one arm around his soggy shoulders as she gave the man a comradely hug. "Word of advice Wild West. Loke spooks easy.  She's a tough girl on the outside but on the inside...she's a um." Looking around to check if the coast is clear, Bianca leaned in closer, keeping her voice low so that only West could hear. "Still getting used to being a woman. Before she was turned he...I mean she, you know." Lifting her hand, Bianca made scior motions with her hands miming that "snip snip" and nodded gravely as she pulled away. "But don't tell her you know, she's very sensitive about it.  You know women."

Bianca grinned then, big and bright as she reached down and slapped his rear hard because she knew he could take it.  Sniffing loudly, and rubbing at the back of her neck, she moved away from him. Now was the time to run or some king of karmic lightning would fry her ass.  "See ya Wild West."  Walking away from West, Bianca held up her hand and wiggled her fingers at him without turning her head to look. Because if he saw the grin that was threatening to burst her face apart the game would be up.

Loke was completely mortified.  Not that kissing someone was bad, or even being caught but in the back of her mind she really thought people would think her a tart.  A slut for being caught with someone so soon after she had finally decided to let go of Marcus.  Gah!  She was mummbling under her breath the whole way upstairs, thinking of ways to make Bianca stay quiet.  Loke was by far not a truely free spirit when it came to sex, love and rock and roll but rather old fashioned in she wanted to know someone before she comitted.  Openning the door to her bedroom, Puppy looked up from his sprawled out position across her bed.  His ears perked and his stub tail wiggled but he soon set his head back down watching her as she grabbed a pair of PJ pants and a t-shirt and left her room heading to the bathroom.

Bianca's voice drifted up the stairs and she stopped in the middle of hall as she heard what the red headed demon wolf said about her.  She had been a man.  Teeth clentched for a moment before she glanced around and headed to Bianca's room.  Once inside the bedroom she dug into the woman's shoes, taking one of each pair with her.  She spent the next ten minutes stuffing the shoes at random around the upstairs bathroom and bedrooms.  She could probably follow her nose to find them but Loke wasn't that upset.  Bianca talked a big game.

Finally she was able to lock herself in the bathroom and climb into the steaming hot shower.  It was only then that she touched her lips.  She hadn't resisted when West had grabbed her and kissed her back.  Hell, she kinda liked it.  Although that in itself was scary for her.  A random one nighter with a human of all things and now smooching up a storm with a fellow pack member.  Hands braced on the tile as she let the hot water beat on her head, eyes closed.

It was only after every ounce of her was boiled clean did she step out of the shower and towel herself off and tug her clothes on over her damp skin.  The door openned with a huge gust of steam, towelled head peeking out of the bathroom as she headed back to her room quickly.

Lexi had gotten hungry, so she’d wandered down to the kitchen to find a snack. She was still mostly dressed, at least, in a black tank top and matching underwear with West’s cowboy hat on her head. She’d taken to wearing it a lot when she was around the house, wondering when he was going to ask her to give it back. So, since she was happily finishing off a nice piece of steak, Bianca’s hurried entrance took her by surprise. Brows furrowed in a puzzled frown as she watched the grinning redhead grab the over-sized mug and fill it with water.

What in the world is she…? Popping the last bite of steak in her mouth, the vixen hurried after Bianca to see what she was going to do. Now, Bianca might have been faking the shocked look, but Lexi wasn’t. Her jaw dropped and she stopped in her tracks to gape at them. It wasn’t that she didn’t think West was severely kissable, but she’d seen the way Loke reacted to him before. This was hardly something she expected to see after witnessing that.

The vixen plastered herself against the wall to stay out of Loke’s way as the she-wolf passed her muttering curses. Really, who could blame her? Gaze turned back to the doorway where Bianca was talking to West. Shaking her head, she went back into the kitchen to retrieve a dish towel. By the time she came back out, Bianca was gone.

Padding barefoot over to West, she pulled him inside before shutting the door and locking it. Turning to face him, she held out the towel. “Here. Ash hates it when we drip on the floor.” She waited a moment, eyeing him speculatively. “Come with me.” Rather than wait for him to follow, she grabbed his arm and pulled him along toward the kitchen where she pulled out a chair and gave him a nudge toward it. Then she moved around the room collecting two glasses, two shot glasses, and three bottles from various cabinets.

Setting them down on the table she took her seat, pulling a foot up so she could wrap an arm around her leg. Grabbing the bottle of Jack Daniel’s, she poured it into one of the shot glasses and then looked at West, lifting a brow. “Do you want one, too, or are you going to go murder Bianca? Not that she doesn’t deserve a good thrashing, but I’d rather not have to explain this to Ash. And that shite Bianca said about Loke being a man... bollocks. So, what do you say, luv?”

Silently she urged him to stick around and have a few drinks. Loke she could corner later, but since she wasn’t sure how volatile West’s temper might be, she thought it best to soothe him a bit first.

It took every ounce of self control the man possessed not to shove his boot up Bianca's snooty arse. It was either put his boot up there or treat her like one would when punishing their young. Boot or hand across her rear both had a lot of appeal but he reframed from doing so and instead he gritted his teeth together and simply shrugged it off. Lost the cow boy had been in the intensity of the kiss and who could blame him after all he was indeed a man and had been a gentle man up until the point where he had grabbed Loke and had attempted to return the kiss. He reckoned it was not the greatest place to do so but all reasonable thought had been thrown aside when Loke had pressed the most innocent of kisses to his lips.

The door had opened and before he could pull away from Loke to look and the cause of the interruption the water had been thrown in to both his and Loke's faces. Stunned indeed and a bit miffed. West tried to say something to Loke but like a raging tornado she blew past him and stormed up the stairs rightfully so he imagined. Then his attention turned toward Bianca when she smiled at him and made her comment. He said nothing just remained quiet even when she stepped up to wrap a arm around his shoulder.

West hadn't missed the way she eyed his southern region and if circumstances had been different he would have laughed and teased right back. For now the cowboy just waited and let the teasing wench say what ever it was she wanted to say. It really was a shame that the woman hid lies behind such a purdy smile because she really was a fine piece of work to look at and it did nae take much for any sane male to appreciate her beauty and spunk. His hands came up to rest on her waist as he leaned in to that hug and when she spoke of Loke having been a man he smirked. One hand left her waist to reward her cheek with a pinch. Purdy as a picture yes but a negative chit all the same.

Those eyes of her were lying and he knew this from his past experience with Divine. Strangely enough they both held the same color and mischievous sparkle to their eyes. Winking he finally spoke out.

"Speaking from experience are we darlin'?."

Bianca moved away from him then and he thought she was retreating but she surprised him when she took to smacking him on his bum. Then wiggling her fingers at him she trollied off and he could not help it he reached for a near by shoe, lifted it and prepared to launch it at her backside. In came Lexi which had him changing his mind and when she held out that hand towel for him after shutting and locking the door he didn't think twice about taking it. A small nod of his head as he gave his thanks. Then followed her in to the kitchen as if he had any real choice since the vixen had him by the arm. All in all it made him smile especially when he took notice of his hat on her lovely head. The cow tippin' cowboy then looked down noticing her matching undies. His ma' would roll in her grave at all the sight seeing the gent was helping himself to. At her nudge West took the seat and waited patiently as she got a few shot glasses along with other favorable things.

"Hmm, thrashing the devil tart or drinking. Both of em' have their positives. But then there's the bonus of not only drinking but drinking in yer company. So no hard choice there me darlin'. I choose ya' and the drink. And may I say ya' sure have a interesting dress style there".

Hand held out for the offered shot.

"I figured it was a bunch of bull. because if not then I reckon I'm gayer then queer in a peter patch"

A smirk tugged at her lips as she filled the second shot glass and set the bottle aside. The teasing was a good sign, or so she thought. The shot was handed over before she took up the other, sparing a glance down at her clothing. A slight shrug of bare shoulders as that emerald gaze settled on him again. “Ah… I forgot to grab my robe before I came down. Stay with us long enough and you’re bound to see me in even less.” A wink for him. Sure, she tried to refrain from walking around nude, but there were just some times when it was more comfortable without cumbersome clothing.

A shake of her head was given as she laughed over his last comment. “Like her that much, do you?” The shot was thrown back like a pro before she refilled the glass. Lifting it, she moved a finger away from the glass to point at him. “Just so you know… you hurt her and I’ll kick your ass.” A grin before she threw back the second shot, though it didn’t change the fact that she was perfectly serious about the slightly teasing words.

Really, the vixen didn’t care who Loke decided to exchange bodily fluids with, so long as she was happy. That isn’t to say she wasn’t a bit envious, but then she wasn’t the one getting some form of action. Luckily, drinking tended to take her mind off such matters. Hand lifted to tilt the hat backward, then reached for a different bottle. Tequila. She couldn’t remember how many shots it took before she felt the smallest of effects, so she was going to find out.

Even as she sat on her bed and drew the brush through her hair she could hear the sing song sounds of Lexi and West talking down stairs.  Puppy was curled up at her side looking up at her with pure adoration.  The little monster loved her to pieces.  She glanced down at him and stritched along his ears as she continued to listen to the conversation she didn't really want too.

Although Lexi's threat made her smile.  Fingers reached up and touched the necklace at her neck, fingers trailing over the shape and texture.  A familiar itching started in her palms, a very odd feeling she hadn't felt in months.  At least not since she left Hawaii.  She stood from the bed and headed to her closet pulling out the rolling cart of draws.  The sides of the cart where unhooked and openned making it a small rolley table.  As the itching grew in intensity she moved faster, snagging the easel from under her bed and setting it up in the open space near the window.  She cocked her head and pulled the window open  before moving back to the closet and pulling out a fresh canvas.  The brown paper that covered it to keep it clean was pulled off and left sitting on her floor.

Puppy leapt off the bed and went to lay on the paper, investigating it as he watched her moved about her room in jerky movements.  She had to head back to the bathroom at one point and fill up the small quart size bucket of water before she was able to begin.  Feet having vibrated a song down through the house.

Eyes unfocused as she reached down to grab the palette and started squeezing out colors on to it.  A brush was plucked out of the pile standing in an old coffee can as she started.  One thing about Loke was that she was damn good at what she could do, and painting and ink where her two best qualities.  With an unfocused eye she went to town.  Fingers and hands moving swiftly, wiping excess paint on her pants and t-shirt reguardless if it wasn't her "painting" clothing.

It wasn't until Puppy was whining at her door to go outside that she put down the brush and refocused her eyes.  She knew it was Hawaii.  Looking down over a cliff out at a protected cove with the beginnings of the jungle canopy below.

Covered in paint she moved to the door and openned it before letting Puppy out.  She clicked her teeth trying to find Sati as well for the nightly pee and poo run before both "pets" could settle in for the night.  Sati appeared and joined Puppy in a few good licks as Loke headed down the stairs toward the back door.  She could smell the liquor but her attention was inward as she openned the back door.  Whistling softly she waited for the two bundle of canine energy spilled down the stairs and to the back door and out.  She was unsure if she could meet West's gaze or even Lexi's so out she went to wait for the dog and wolf to be done with their nightly business.

Teasing was one of West's specialties or so he'd like to think. Her comment about walking around nude earned her a wide grin followed by a raise of his shot glass. "Here here, now that's some thing to drink to". Leaning toward the vixen he gave that hat on her head a tug to the right then a thumbs up and leaned back in to his seat. "Purdy as a picture". He threw back his own shot then refilled another. Watching her toss back the shots was a delight and West made a mental note to catch the fox at a later date for a bit of a drinking contest. It surely would be a sight to see since both of them hadn't the metabolism of a human any more.

Then when her finger pointed at him he paused with his third shot to look at her. A nod was given after all West did like Loke and there was something there that definitely needed a looking at. Lexi's words were taken seriously and the sincerity behind them caused the cowboy to grin. Placing his shot glass on the table he reached over to take the hand she used to reach for the Tequila. Leaning in he brought that hand of hers up to his mouth and placed a small kiss to the back of it.

"I will nae hurt her, scout's honor"

Her hand was released and he took up the bottle she had reached for. Twisting the lid open he proceeded to pour both of them a shot. After downing his first shot of the liquor he allowed that tongue of his to dab at his lower lip and it may have looked as if he hadn't wanted to loose even a drop of the alcohol but he was remembering back to the kiss and how even still the sweet taste of her lips still lingered along his own. Golden ambers drifted upwards as he wondered what Loke was doing upstairs. The whine of her pup was nae hard to miss and it was followed by them exiting her room to now waist at the back door. The whistle she gave nearly had the man to his feet but he would not push the woman to meet him until she was ready. Lowering his head he caught sight of Lexi again and smiled before reaching down to pull a pack of cards from his boot.

"Care for a game darlin'"?.

When he intercepted her reach for the bottle and leaned in to place a kiss on the back of it, she lifted a brow in silent inquiry. His next words answered the unspoken question and she nodded a bit. Strangely enough, though the vixen seldom trusted people she barely knew, she believed him. Besides, if it happened that he did hurt Loke somewhere down the road, she could always carry out that threat and damn the consequences.

“Good. I’d hate to mar such a handsome face.” After he’d poured the shots, she downed hers, enjoying the burn of the liquor as it slid down her throat. Now, it was tempting to try and get West drunk, but with a lycanthrope’s metabolism they would need a lot more than three bottles of liquor. Not to mention she was supposed to be at the Hookah in the morning to continue helping out there until Silent told her otherwise.

Head tilted upon hearing Loke and the pups. Since her shields were normally lowered around the house, that russet-pelted counterpart was allowed to move past West’s wolf to rub alongside the black bitch. A silent exchange that carried comfort and love. She didn’t really expect Loke to join them, but she used her counterpart to let it be known she was welcome if she did decide to come in.

Movement pulled her attention back to West and an answering smile tugged at her lips when she saw the pack of cards. “Hm. Could be dangerous, luv. Don’t card games while drinking usually end with someone losing their clothes?” A throaty chuckle as she poured them each another shot of tequila. “I haven’t played since…” Voice trailed off, trying to remember when the last time she’d played a game of cards was. “Well over three years, at the least. But I’m willing to test my rusty skills against you.” A wink before downing her drink.

The night wasn't cold, not at all.  She stood in silence hearing the muffled voices from inside as she stared up at the semi cloudy night sky.  The rain clouds had disappeared drifting off over the horizon and now lazy fat clouds moved rolling across the sky, lit up by the light of the moon.  She felt the brush of Lexi's vixen and it had her smiling, allowing that black bitch to respond in kind.  A few joyful little licks to the smaller foxs ears.

It was only once the two canine's where ready and done with there business that she headed back inside.  Eyes flickered toward West's backside as Puppy went to investigate.  Sati slunk off to the Ulfric's room as Loke headed back upstairs.

Leaving her door slightly ajar for Puppy when he was ready.  She went back to her painting. It was going to be a long long night.
