She packed one bag. That's all she needed. She picked up the cell phone and retrieved the Ageli.
The note she left Ash was curt and to the point. She figured he was still at the office.
Had to leave to find Dina. I have my cell. Call me if you need anything and I'll explain more when you do.
On the bottom of the note was the coordinates that Dina had last been at. Chapman didn't think she was still there, of course, but it was a place to start. The last think Llidya did at the pack house was taped up an 8.5" x 11" piece of paper with the letters BBL in marker.
She picked up her cell as she slung her duffel bag over her shoulder.
"It's Chapman. I gotta go for a while. I'll be back." There, she left him a voicemail as well. The cure for her headaches would have to wait as well. Pain she could deal with. The unbearable anxiety she felt at not knowing where Dina was...well that was eclipsing anything she'd felt for the past few months, except for maybe that constant ache in the hole in her chest. The Ageli didn't even help with that.
She didn't want to think about it. The cell phone was back to her ear again.
"Mouse. Chapman. I need you to hack into Kayvee Technologies...yeah Dina's tracker. How'd you know? Yeah well she's missing. Yeah I thought that'd sober you up..."
