Autopilot. It seemed that's how she had been running. Her body went through the motions, her mind blank to everything around her. Ariadne had made her choice to have a baby for the tribe. It brought her this day to Gwen's trailer. They were discussing possible names and possible fathers. Ariadne dismissed everyone that Gwen had mentioned.
"Who do you want instead?!" Gwen had asked exasperated by Ariadne's reluctance. The question had taken her off guard. Her mind however traveled down the tarnished gold line that connected her to the vampire. Her mind searched for him without thinking. There was no conscience thought that she was even doing it. The memory of his striking white hair, the eyes that could only be described as arctic blizzard blue. His face with the sharp angels, high cheeks bones that became even more predominate when he smiled or smirked. His voice echoed within the structure of her mind. The accent; British old world and untraceable, called her name.
Gwen snapped her fingers in Ariadne's face. Her opal white eyes turned to the Seer with an expression of disdain. The look changed instantly really seeing Gwen before her. "I'll find someone." She said getting up from the chair. Gwen stared at Ariadne's back as she was leaving the trailer.
Again her mind wondered down the path to the vampire. The Left hand of God; Death; Azrael. Many names he went by. She wasn't sure if that was his real name or not, either way it didn't matter. She pictured him again. Down from his face was the strong neck, and lower still his shoulders, further his chest. He was a man who seemed to have been through hell and back. It was expressed perfectly in his lean sculptured form. He didn't look like her people. All the men of the Tribe were muscular in one way or another. Thick of arm or broad of chest.
A sigh crossed her lips. Lashes folded over her opaline eyes then. She pressed her hand to her forehead. The palm was cool from being in the central air of the trailer. I miss you.... the thought was said to the mental image of the vampire. Within her own mind, Ariadne was honest with herself. The saying proved true, one can never lie to oneself.
