Valentino had left the snakes nest with valuable information on her request.  He was wounded, silver poisoned, tattoo'd, and still lethargic from the venom that had seeped through his system.  He could barely walk, let alone feed for himself, or attract food.  He needed to be cleaned up.  Sure, he was ancient and had the power to back it up, but somethings you just couldn't handle on your own and you had to ask for help.

Eden.  Eden he could trust.  He could trust her with his life.  She had proven that, she had information for him as well.  After his fight with the flaming bird, who was playing Sleeping Beauty right now, he had gone underground, trying to figure out what the hell was going on.  He wasn't ignoring his vampires, he only had 3 anyway.  Three that promised their loyalty.  Si, he wanted more and was planning a littl suarey for them, and he expected them all to show up.

Opening the slight bond between them, he whispered her name on the air, sending a tendril of power with it, urging her to seek him out, letting her feel a small amount of pain that riddled him as hand pressed against the front door of her business, gathering what little strength he had left to have some resemblence of power and stature.

It was with a certain measure of annoyance that she felt that power roll over her like clouds rolling over the moon. Yet annoyed or not she could do not but answer that call. Rising from her seat at the counter she left Whisper to finish the accounting and moved towards the door of the Gladiator Forum. At this hour of the night all areas of the business establishment were closed up, only she and her blood doll remained. The silence of the place agreed with her. Somehow it matched the silence of her soul.

Pulling back the lock on the door she opened it, and if she were not so agile and quick then her Master might well have fallen face down to the floor. As it was she moved in and caught him in his arms, knees bending slightly to take the weight of the rather stacked man who was now in her arms. Brows drew together in curious confusion as she pulled him inside with as mich ease and comfort as she could afford him. Clearing her throat to grab Whispers attention she didn't look back to make sure the fae was coming. She merely knew she would.

"Lock the door."

Eden had knelt down, laying Tino out on the concrete floor carefully so that his injuries would not worsen. His head was laid against one of her thighs as she let her dual colored eyes survey the damage to the mans body. At the door she heard the bolts thrown into place by Whisper and looked up to meet her blood dolls eyes. The arrangement between the two was a sacred one, and she would not ask Whisper to feed Valentino. It would be the gravest matter of disrespect to a fae princess.

"The alley. Find him food."

Whisper could offer to feed Tino, but if she didn't there were always a few disenfranchised in the alley that could be picked off. No doubt that kind of food was not what Tino was used to, but until they had more time it would get him further on his way towards being able to get around. When her eyes came to rest on the tattoo she actually had to turn her head partially to the side to make out the image and the writing. Once she had read it she only wished she hadn't.

Oh how she wanted to say 'I told you so'. To tell him that he shouldn't have kept her at arms length, and how she could have kept this from happening. But she held her tongue. It was not her way to nag and talk when silence could teach the lesson just as well. Hooking her hands under his arms she pulled him up farther as she lowered herself to sit on the ground. His back resting against her front she was holding him in a sit up position so that he could feed easier without gagging.

"Tell me Primogen. Tell me who must die."

Being the good Blood doll she was, she would bounce from her perch on the table. Pencil was dropped on the stack of papers that had all the annoy numbers and finical mumbo jumbo that gave them an income legally. Ballerina slippers hitting the ground. Her toes pointed as she walked on the toes of those slippers the way dancers would. satin boy shorts hugged her pert little bottom while the fish net stalkings wrapped around her legs. The top was something that shimmered when the light hit it across her almost flat chest.

The door was bolted shut as Eden requested. She heard the next request and with a flourish she slipped into the inbetween. her power releasing her into the alley where a few bums rested peacefully. a pair of males were plucked like flowers in a garden and dragged with Whisper through the shadows and dropped in the room. They both moved bewildered. A touch of her diminutive hand and the bums were back asleep in a peaceful slumber. In that slumber they would stay till either they died from blood loss or until Whisper woke them.

Much like her mistress Whispered surveyed the Primogen. The state in which he was in made her scoff. Her hands came to her tiny hips

"That is quite a tattoo, Primogen of Rome. I suppose it was a gift from your new Mistress?"

Mistress holding a double meaning. Walking around the man, she kept from his reach. Her tone was sweet purring almost. The words however - showing respect - were meant to remind him that if he had used her Mistress' services that would never have happened. That if he made use of her Mistress as he should have, that he would not be in the piss poor condition he was in now. Arms crossed over her small chest. Those velvet purple eyes with the glittering specks of silver stared at the man's tri colored silver eyes. She saw the mark of the fae in him. She knew he had been in worse clutches than the mere Kadra. Though she supposed the Kadra would be his death sentence. Oh Whisper had half a mind to kick the Primogen and talk Eden into being with Azzy.

Caught.

Safe.

Alive.

Three very sacred words at the moment.  He was caught by Eden, safe in her place and alive.  What more could a man want?  Oh yes, food.  He ignored Whispers blatant prod at Tino, not wasting his energy on the sprite at the moment because she wanted to be vindictive for some unknown reason.  Not like she knew him to make judgements anyway.

He eagerly fed off of the homeless, gaining some of his strength back as Eden held him, his wounds being slow to heal, due to the fact they were inflicted by silver.  He had no clue that Whisper had called him, and that he was supposed to meet Eden for an appointment.  He had been hoodwinked.

Pushing the last body aside, he sighed and licked his lips clean.  Yes, indeed, he had been through worse in his life than being tormented by a psycho snake.  A lot more.  At least the fae hadn't done shit by blindsiding him.  He had a small chance of fighting.  But snakes were sneaky, so it was expected.

"Cut it off."  The body was a temple and should be treated as such, which meant NO ink on it.  That was his belief.  (1 Corinithians 6:19)  He knew the pain would be great, but pain was just weakness leaving the body.  When Eden asked her last question, his mind worked fast.  Eliminate the competition.  "Roxana.  She is a shifter who wants to allie with the snakes for her own personal gain.  She is a menace."

As Tino fed she held her tongue, not interrupting the man from the meal that he quite obviously needed. More and more time in his prescence continued to cement the rather unfavorable opinion she had been gathering of him. The way he treated his food, she wondered if instead of a bum they had given him a young girl if he would have been so indifferent to the victims well being. Only when he finished his food and began to speak did she move, knowing that now he could hold himself erect.

Moving out from behind him she slid across the floor with an elegant ease almost like a dancers. Staying on her knees her nimble fingers closed around the hilt of an unseen dagger before bringing it into the light like something pulled from empty space. Almost magical the way she managed to make it appear, though she would be the first to admit that it was not magic. Only centuries upon centuries of hard practice and determination. This was going to hurt....a lot. But she assumed that he was a cunning enough man to realize that already.

If a stick or towel were handy she would have handed it to him to clench down on, but since they were still on the floor of the gym close to the doors there was no such object of comfort. It brought to mind days on the battlefield trying to mend the wounded in a haphazard way so they could keep fighting. The smell of burning flesh and the sounds of agony on the air. They were beautiful memories.

Laying her cool hand against his skin just above where the tattoo started she used the edge of her blade to bear down on his smooth pale flesh and begin the careful procedure of peeling back his skin. Eden was a skilled surgeon, though she had no natural power to heal, and before long she had over half the skin peeled away. Whisper had brought her a balm of fae herbs which she used to dab at the open and exposed flesh. The balm would help it to heal faster, but she moved with furtive quickness, not wanting the flesh to heal around the fabric she held to it.

It was in the midst of this rather delicate procedure that he brought up Roxanna. The request was such that it made her pause in her work, head still lowered with her dual colored eyes intent on what she had been doing. Anger rushed through her do fast that it actually seemed to warm the hands which touched him, and she was glad her eyes were cast on the tattoo and not looking at his. Fingers clenched around the pommel of the knife she was using and she thought that perhaps it could be used to carve out his heart.

"You fool."

As always her words were quiet, the sort of sound you had to really be paying attention to to hear. With a quick flick of her wrist she drew the knife across the flap of skin she had been so delicately peeling off and it flopped lifeless from his body and to the floor leaving a smear of the blood he'd taken from the bum in its place. Shifting her weight back so that it rested on her heels she finally looked up and into his eyes, that quiet yet infinite rage in her eyes.

"I am a daughter of Agba. A Master of my line. I offer you protection and defense against whoever did this and you seek to use me as a two bit assassin?"

As she invoked the name of the originator of her bloodline power seemed to fill the room. A crushing strength of ages, of blood and death, but even more of honor and loyalty to a cause. Valentino's cause seemed to be rooted in selfishness and a pursuit of which she could not name.

"You speak of making a family for the vampires of this city and yet you neglect them. You neglect even me who has given an offering of blood for belief in that cause. I call you liar Valentino, and oath sworn. Your selfish pursuits make not a family but a den of killers and thieves."

Rising to her feet she stood above him like a burning sentinel of truth and honor that he obviously would not recognize. Her beast rolled within her in that haze of power and howled mournful at the anger of its mistress. Lifting her arm which held the knife she pointed towards the door he had fallen in through.

"Be gone from us oath breaker."

He was just mangled by a snake, chained in silver and kept for God only knew how long, so grace and sensitivity in feeding was not exactly the top thing on his list.  Getting rid of the pain and confusion settling in on him, was.

He grit his teeth as the knife slid across his flesh, fists clenching in reaction to the pain that seered the skin and muscle as she began to litterally skin him alive.  Eyes snapped open as she lopped off the skin and snapped at him to leave, at about how much of a liar he was and was ignoring the vampires, when he was doing no such thing.  About how he was ignoring her, and thought she was what she was.

All he could do was shake his head and rub his eyes wearily.
"I'm sorry, bella, if you feel I have abandoned you. That is not my intention. I am trying to protect what is mine, and keep you all from any danger that I am trying to face.  Perhaps I am going about it wrong, and for that I apologize.  I have only two people I can trust, and you are one of them."  He lifted his eyes to meet that of her angered and hurt ones.  "I keep people at an arm's length because I am so used to being betrayed or left, that at times, I do not see that I in turn, am no better, and do that to someone as loyal as you."

He rose up, ignoring the pain shooting through his groin, showing the truest form of emotion to Eden, as it is only Nemisis that had ever gotten this close to him.  "I was out feeding for the first time in days, when the Queen of the Snakes decided I was her enemy.  She said something about her daughter, who I am aquainted with, for what it was I cannot remember, and attacked me.  I woke up in her grips, filled with her venom and chained in silver, with her mark on me.  She called two people, the Nimir-Raj and this shifter, Roxanna, and told us that basically if we wished to live, to kill *edited content*.  I want to protect the vampires, Eden.  I am no match against her, and my immediate thought was, 'What kind of Primogen would I be if I endager the vampires if I do not play her game?'"

A tragic sigh erupted from lips as he ran a finger through the unkempt hair, wanting Eden to understand his position, and why he had blurted out to kill Roxanna in his pain filled daze.  "If I were to gather the vampires and tell them of what occured, would we be strong enough to face her nest?  I blurted out to kill the shifter, to try and help us, but it was in a daze and perhaps it might have been selfish, but selfish to the point of wanting to protect everyone, but I now realize I cannot do this alone.  Do not turn your back on me for an error of judgement due to pain and confusion, bella, per favor, for we all make mistakes, and forgiveness is what I ask of you, and a, asking you to help me make this right."

He had just trusted her more than he trusted anyone, or was stupid and handed her the very thing that which would get him killed.  It was in her hands now.

Edens eyes narrowed at the exagerrated sigh that escaped his lips. It was so very Orchis Court. All the dramatics, all the swearing that he only wanted to keep the vampires safe. She found that strange since he only knew two vampires in the city and seemed to be getting in the way of more trouble than safety. Without a word she lowered the arm that held the knife and just watched him for a long moment. Trying to read his expression she let her brows draw slightly together. His kind were harder to read than some, the Orchis Court was always one to believe their own half truths which made it difficult to detect.

"I will cast no judgement now. Go to your home. You have need of rest."

She wanted to be alone to let whatever he had been doing sink in, then she would go do a little investigating of her own into what exactly he had been up to. After he had gone, renewed and mostly healed from feeding, she would let Whisper lock up and go back to the basement. She would need to feed and then she would try to make herself shift so that she could track where he had been by the scent he left behind. Her beast could help best with that.
