Call from the Attorney / Call to Llidya

Once she was out of the hopsital and had left Malcolm to keep her posted on Tim, she had finally listened to the voicemail.  She had turned her phone off  somewhere in the process and had only turned it back on as she was driving back to the pack house.  The phone call had been polite, at least as polite as Anthony could be.  She knew something was up because he was never polite to her anymore, not since the ackwardness had warn off.  Now he shouted at her as much as Michael did back in Boston.  She set the phone to her ear as it rang, it picked up after two rings.

"Anthony, what did you need?  I'm kinda busy?"

He snorted faintly into the phone and cleared his throat. "Have you read the newspaper?"  She wanted to cuss him out completely at that very moment in time.  If she could have reached through the phone and choked him she probably would have.  "It's a bit fucking late to ask me that!  You should be protecting my ass!  I told you lost the fucking laptop, although I know the bitch who has it now.  I'm gonna send you her picture, I want everything on her.  I want name, address, everything.  And I want you to file a civil suit against the paper for deffamation of character!"  She was shouting into the phone as she drove toward the pack house.

"Loke, you can't sue the paper, they never mention your name.  And why don't you report the laptop missing?  You have to have a lo-jack on it right?"  Loke blinked at the phone, the anger disappearing.  "Lo-Jack?  That shit's for cars Anthony, get your head out of your ass."

"No, you get your head out of your ass!  Computers like yours, expecially ones set up for corporate accounts like that have Lo-Jack.  I'm sure yours has one.  All you need to do is alert the police and have them track it down.  Then who ever has it, will get arrested for stolen property."

Loke was speechless, she was not a computer geek or nerd in the least and this shocked her.   "I'll call you later."  She hung up and pulled off the main road heading out toward the country where the pack house was.  She scrolled through the names as she drove, finding Llidya's number.  She hit send and waited till she got her voicemail.

"Llids, it's Loke.  I need a huge favor.  Some bitch stole my laptop, it's got seriously sensative information on it.  Like pack information.   My attorney says it's got a Lo-Jack on it.  Can you find it for me, get it back for me?  I would do anything for you if you could get it back.  And if you have to rough up the bitch that's fine too.  I'm gonna send you a picture of her.  Call me when you get this.  Bye."

She hung up before touching the side button and moved through the pictures till she found the one of Embri on the alley ground with Harley standing over her.  She added both Llids and her attorney's name to the list and sent it.

After leaving the cafe, Llidya called Mouse. She heard the extension pick up and didn't even bother with greetings as she drove back towards her house. That little get together with Leni, though unexpected, had been nice. And then Loke sending her that picture and the voicemail had got the blood pumping in her veins, and her alter ego wanting to come out and play. It hadn't been so long when she had lost her memory, but now that she had regained most of it, the urge was still there.

"Hey, I'm sending you a picture. I need ID on one of the women. Not the redhead, I know who that is. And find out if I own the company that makes Lo-jack, for laptops." At his affirmative, she hung up the phone and then dialed Loke.

As expected, she got voicemail, she figured the wolf was trying to get some affairs in order.

"Hey Loke. It's Llid. I'm on it."

She hung up the phone, and pulled into her drive, grabbing only some of the paperwork as she went into the house, moving to that big screen tv to get hooked up with her team of computer specialists. Even if she didn't own the company that made Lo-jack, she had other ways of finding Loke's laptop.
