Boots were pulled on and fingers moved in the laborious task of lacing them up. Now that Ash had made his announcements, she felt more at ease with this plan of a short holiday. After all, how much trouble was likely to come the pack’s way in the few days she’d be gone? No, she didn’t really want an answer to that.
A quick note was scribbled and put up on the fridge.
“I’ve gone to London and will be back by Monday. Try to stay out of trouble, eh? Call if you need me before then. <3 Your Vixen.”
It was short, sweet and to the point. If she was needed before Monday, well, they could just call her cell and tell her to get her ass home. Simple.
Ash pulled the note off the fridge and read what Lexi had written. All alone standing in the kitchen his generous lips curled into the smallest of smiles. He remembered the conversation they had had about how she needed to clear things up with her family, and Ash was happy to know she would be tending to things back in London. Though he would miss her, it was good to know she'd be coming back happier. Tucking the note back under the magnet he left it there in case anyone else in the house was looking for Lexie.
