Ash could feel it like pain blossoming in his veins. A sense of urgency that ran through him with the fast heat of electricity. He wanted his pack, wanted his family and home, and he wanted it now. They had been stopped at customs due to the weaponry in their possession, a minor delay of protocol that felt like an eternity to him. Ash had a vague notion to kick Caines pearly white teeth in for sitting there looking so calm and flirting with a security guard as the seconds ticked by like days. They were so close. A few more short planes rides and they would be in Rome. To stop his pacing and give him something to do he grabbed a sheaf of paper and a pen and scribbled out a note. Finished quickly he tucked it into an envelope and went in search of stamps so he could address it and send it on same day air to Rome. The message would get there before he would if what security was telling him about the delay was true they'd be stuck in Spain another day. He could have done it another way, could have opened the marks inside himself and simply screamed, but this seemed more polite. More Emily Post. Ash could be nice, and this once he would ask nicely. If he had to ask again it would not be good.
Valentino,
Release me. I am coming home.
Ash
Kalika had left and Pele was in a metaphysical coma beneath the Pacific waves. Now he had two vampires too many in his life, and if he had his choice of demons it would be no surprise who he chose. Vaguely he wondered if Evie and he would feel it when Tino released his marks on them. Would Marcus know? At the moment he didn't care. He was alive and would soon be free, and he craved that freedom. Wanting to run and hunt with his pack, to be cradled in a puppy pile of bodies, to be where he was meant to be.
Sam had been the one to take the letter for Tino, having arrived earlier that day. When he heard his Master stirring, he slipped the letter into Tino's study, right where he knew the Senator would find it.
Feeding was quick, for he was taking no pleasure in it. Right now, he really found pleasure in nothing. He was debating on terminating the connection between himself and Jane, not wanting to feel. Feeling was not an option at the moment. It was weakness. Reading the letter was not exactly what he wanted for his supposed morning cup of coffee. A deep sigh was expelled as he slowly opened the mark between himself and Ash, the tri-colored eyes falling closed as the metaphysical plane took his soul to new heights. Searching was complex, minutes would pass by, not a twitch from the Roman God, Sam passing by, the stillness causing him pause, but a shrug, and he was gone.
Finding what he wanted, a breath was expelled, speaking sincerely and from his heart, he opened himself up to someone he could taste the dislike from.
"One day, I could only wish to find myself a wolf, or companion, that knew sacrifice like you. You are a leader, a friend and a most trusted man, Asher. Marcus and Evie are very lucky to have you and I can only pray they realize what you would do for them. Silent is another matter. I know se loves you and I hope one day she will see that you return it, instead of pushing you away. I love her, but I am not in love with her and I will never come between the two of you. I hope that one day, you might call me friend. Good bye mighty Ulfric. May your trip be safe and many happy moons and hunting."
With that, Tino severed the marks between all of them, a small grimace of pain as a trickle of blood ran out of his nose. Silence filled him as he drew in a shattered breath and turned his attention out the window, a look of emptiness reigning.
