Saying Goodbye

Hands where set against her hips as she stood in the doorway of gallery.  It's was eeriely quiet, way to silent.  The echo of the street traffic in the empty building was almost deafening.  With a shake of her head, she turned and pulled the door shut behind her locking it.  As an after thought she pulled the metal grating across the front and locked it into place too.  It wouldn't matter when the lava started flowing, it was a empty protective gesture.  Already one of the shipping containers was full and being loaded up on a private shipping boat.  Turning from her new home she reached up touching the ear piece answering the constant buzz of the vibrating phone at her hip.

"It's about time you answer the phone, jesus Lokelani."  The voice made her smile to herself.  Michael Harris III, her beloved Boston Attorney had a bit of annoyance in his voice.  Not that Loke could blame him, she had been sending the team of attorney's that backed her into a frenzy within days.  They where making and ordering and demanding tickets for people who where leaving, people who needed to go someplace different then the pack.

"Sorry Michael, I was closing up shop for the last time.  Did you ever find out if the Gallery's insurance policy covers natural diasters?"
Eyes moved up and down the side walk to the people still braving the erratic volcanic actions happening.  Sliding into her car she started it pulling out of the spot and heading toward her next location, the Pride/Pard/ Horde house.  Not a place she really wanted to be.

"Of course I found out, and yes, you have a very nice natural disaster policy included.  You'll get back about 75 to 80% of what the full value of the property was worth, minus the pieces inside of course."
Michael's convidence was inspiring to say the least.  He was a man of great honor and showed it as he spoke.

"All of the artwork is already on it's way to Madrid.  I didn't know where else to send it.  So I sent it there, till the pack settles down.  Where ever we settle, I'll open something there."
Hand shifted to hit her turn signal before slowing to wait and cross the four lane road.

"Ugh, please, the less I know about your "pack" the better I can sleep at night.  The reason I called is the company Jet is on it's way as we speak.  It will touch down in 7 hours.   We can only spare it for 48 hours, after that ... "
He left it unspoken the rest.

"Michael, stop being a pussy."  She chuckled at his unwillingness to hear about pack business.  He never liked to talk about it, it made him feel... too human.
"That's more then enough time.  We should have everyone ready to go and those that are choosing a different place, we've got them almost all prepaired to go.  I gotta go I'll call you a little later with an update."

Finger reached up to touch her ear as she turned down the street the Feline's lived on.  Frown etched on her face.
