Adam called the Horde together. Jane, Raine, Lillian, Jude, Jason, and Gillian. Once they were all gathered he would tell them what his plan was. The pard had left already and he knew the pride would be soon as well. Now was time for the Horde alone to figure what they would do. Adam told them about Belinda, the child vampire, and what she had said about the island being in danger. He let them know that he felt that danger was imminent. After he had laid everything out for them he waited to see what they would choose.
"Whoever wishes to come with me in search of a new home, and a new Khan to lead the Horde, I will take you gladly. If you want to stay I will understand. No matter how many miles seperate us, part of us will always be family."
When Jane had gotten the call she had been on her way to the office. Calling the office, she told them she was taking a personal day. Something was off, something big and really bad was off. Just completely wrong in every sense of the word.
She picked up Lili before heading to the Horde house. Jane only came this way when the moon was close to full or when she went to visit Adam, the few times that she had. Taking a seat around everyone. It didn't take Adam long to tell them what was happening with the Horde. She knew Patsy had left with that sexy stud of a leopard man too.
The shock of Adam leaving Hawaii, of him wanting to step down didn't hit Jane just yet. She didn't know what she wanted right then. In all honesty Jane was down right confused about just everything. Hawaii had been a hell-hole when she first lived here. It hadn't changed much since then. This was one of those 'Nice to visit wouldn't want to live here' places and it showed with the strain it was having on people.
Standing she gave Adam a kiss to his cheek. Gloved hand taking his own.
"Ya is one hellah ofa man Adam. Ah'm happy ta have been unda ya rule."
If she was going or leaving, Jane didn't know. She wanted Lili out of this place first, maybe then she'd decide. She'd take Lili and that confused boyfriend of her's Gidion and head some where else. Maybe Vegas, or Oklahoma where her Ma and Pa were with BJ's new wife and kid. There was no horde in Oklahoma and lots of land where Lili and Gidion could run and hunt when they needed to.
A pat on Adam's shoulder and Jane was heading for the door. She needed to start packing. Ask Lili where she'd wanna go, of course ask if Gidion would come along too. Maybe she'd be off this god forsaken island in a week. If it lasted that long.
-Shock was a nice way to put it. He was shocked at all that had happned so quickly. Inside he hated change. Never wanted it. But he trusted Adam and knew the man always did the right thing. Jude sat on the sofa and looked at his brother. The two of them had one of those moments where they seemed to share the same thought. Standing to his rather tiny height he moved to his Khan, who would always be the Khan in his heart and lifted on tip toe to brush a cheek against the mans.-
"I'll be coming with you. Wherever you wanna go bro."
-His hand clapped Adam on the back and then he waited for his brothers response. After that he would go to his room and studio to pack just what was necessary. He didn't have much. So that was good. Whenever the Khan was ready to leave he knew that he and his brother would be beside him to search for a new home and Horde.-
Loyal to him above all things. That is how Gilly Bean views her Khan. He will always be to her. But with current events and confessions, Gilly now wants to concentrate on loving him on their relationship and this new adventure and plan he told her about. So clad in her khaki capris and signature white buttoned blouse which was opened around the neck and midrift, was seated along his left side when he called the Meeting. He knew her position and how she felt, for there should never be a question weather she would go or not. Past history this year has shown that she would be any where he was. She wanted this connection, bond, relationship to strengthen and she supported him 150% with his decision to stepping down. Long straighten strands today covered the portion of her left eye as she watched and stayed in tune to Adam when MJ came up. A reassuring touch up and down the length of his back, to his shirt with the pads of her soft fingertips just was giving him the reassurance that she was there. As much as he doesnt show on the outside, Gilly knew him well enough to know that it was hard to see those that chose a path differ then his. True they will always be in his heart but they will also be missed. Smiling and watching her go and just continued with that soften touch.
Jude was next and Gilly didn't even have to hear a response for she knew he and his brother would follow. The three have a strong bond and she would never come between that. For Gilly alone they were a kindred spirit and one that she loved. Yes they may have their own language or come across strange, but from day one they were adorable to her and it was a huge comfort in the verbal acknowledgement of her own truth in knowing Jude would follow. It made this all feel a overall warmth of pure happiness. It's what Gilly needed and what Adam needed most. To go to a place where he can be Adam not Khan. Concentrate on just being himself with responsibilities that he wants to have. It only bringing her to love him even more each day.
Jason had come in after Jude sitting next to his brother. Listening to Adam, Jason turned to Jude. A silent connection as they looked at each other. The shock clear in their expressions. Rising after Jude, Jason took the other side of Adam, careful not to squish Gillie-bean. A rub of his cheek to his Khan. Adam may not want to be that title anymore. But like his brother, Jason would always see him as such.
"We're going whereever you want to."
He looped an arm around Gillian's shoulder sticking her next to Adam. It made a cool Jason and Jude sandwich with an Adam and Gillian middle. A kiss to her cheek he ran off behind Jude to collect their things. Not that they had a lot anyway.
-It would take them awhile to get things ready, but within a few days all the affairs were in order. The four of them, Adam, Gillian, Jude, and Jason were booked on a flight to London. It wasn't a stopping point. They would travel Europe until they found the right home. With Gillian by his side he felt a reewed confidence, that everything would be already wherever they went, and he had high hopes for finding a place to call home. Adam left letters behind for Ash and Marcus, letting both know of his plans and where to reach him.-
When Adam had called the meeting, Raine felt .. a serious blow. Things had picked up around the local hospitals, prompting her to accept several pleas to help. She had figured, it was still Hawaii. But she had still been gone for Gillian's near-death and she wasn't entirely sure she could forgive herself for that. Liquid greens had shifted over to Gillian, humbled by the woman's strength.
When her turn had come, to make a decision, she had nodded to the others, though her heart was heavier than .. it should have been. She had done this once before, you see. It was the healer, the doctor, in her that kept her from abandoning a city in crisis. She only hoped Adam and the others would understand.
"I will try to keep in touch, Adam. But .. you know me," that wry smile sadly curved the corners of her mouth up. "I'm still needed here. For the time being. If the last few weeks have been any kind of omen .. " She shook her head.
"But," if I get out of here alive -- those words went unspoken as she leveled the greens to the man she had come to respect above all. "I will find you." Hadn't she, before?
She had gotten up, brushing one hand against Gillian's cheek, leaning down to press a kiss to Adam's forehead. Choked up. Hard to imagine, but it was true. When eyes turned towards the brothers, it was all she could do just to nod at them. Lillian, too. And Janey. Jane, whom she'd been distant with lately. Before it came to more sentimental goodbyes, something Raine had never been good at, she left the group, letting them make their plans. She didn't want to know what they were, beforehand, or she might end up going with them. And that was something she knew, in her heart, would be wrong.
((OOC: Ugh. I'm SO sorry about being so late. Clearly the thread is closed, but I didn't want to leave it without something this time, so just for log/clarification purposes, etc. >.< I'm gonna smack myself and force myself to be more aware of the MB. sorry guys.))
