The Dreaded Call (Voicemail for Nico)

It would be early morning, bordering just after midnight when the call came in. It wouldn't ring for her to pick up, it was a voice message, send straight to her voicemail. The voice of the message was that of Remy's and it was low, almost beaten. For once, Remy wasn't happy, nor smiling.. And so the message went on.

"Nico.. Thanks for everything you did for me in the store. But if you're hearing this message, it means one thing. I've turned the store over completely to Jace. I will no longer be your boss, nor have any kind of affiliation to the shoppe. Your first and last check from me is signed and dated with your name on it on the counter. When you arrive in the morning, my things will have been moved out and my stuff simply gone.

It wasn't that Jace needed space.. He wanted to be rid of me, I complicated his life. He needs this shop more than I do, and I won't close it. What he chooses to do with it by tomorrow is his choice. I won't influence it. It was nice working with you and having our little talks, I'll look forward to getting to know the you outside of the Shop as I did the person that worked inside of the shop.

Take care of yourself.."

And with that, the phone clicked off. There, the message done. Now, to finish writing the letter to Jace.

She was a heavy sleeper , Hell. She could sleep through alot of things but that annoying beeping that kept ticking in her wonderful dream that evening would cause her to sit up with a harsh sigh. She turned and grabbed the phone , going through her head with who it could be and what she was going to do to them if they woke her up for bullcrap at this time of the morning. She read the number off the ID before she went to voicemail. She wasn't familiar with the number but the voice that rang back told her something was wrong , really wrong.  She listened to the whole message beofre a serious of cuss words left her dry lips and scratchy throat. She slammed her phone down , laying it on her bed before she looked to her alarm clock. She had 4 hours to wait before she could even open the shop. She would wake up now , be ready to run out the door at 6:55 , She would make it there by 7 and open up by 8.She would try her best to be there for both of them if need be , but she had a feeling it was easier said then done.
