The store had caught his eye and called to him in a deep way that spoke of magic. True magic and not the paltry stuff of carnivals and telethons. Standing across the street he watched the comings and goings around the store with a keenly interested eye. The clientele was sparse and yet each of them burned with their own power, some mild and some hot as licking flames, but all people who were certainly less than mortal. Bringing his cigarette to his lips he took a slow easy drag and let the smoke curl out around his mouth in plumes that swirled off into the air with the hot summer breeze. The weather here still such an oddity to him, and yet he very much enjoyed the fact that it made clothes an almost unnecessary thing and seemed to lower even his own already immoral inhibitions.

As though the thought conjured up a treat his eye caught sight of a brunette sweeping into the store. Caine's eyes travelled over the womans tounded physique and he chuckled deep down in his throat, face brightening with a smile that showed rows of perfect teeth. Lovely. Simply lovely. Flicking the Pall Mall from his fingers he didn't watch as it spun on the air and fell with a sizzle into the gutter, his eyes were all for the bewitching woman who looked like an avatar of Bettie Page walking into Thirteen Moons. Looked like the afternoon was picking up.

Canvas shoes made soft slapping sounds as he moved, the noise adding rather than detracting from that lazy grace of his as he crossed the street and came upon the door to the shop. Though his mind was in a feral place at that moment once he pulled open the door things changed tracks quickly and he felt the electric thrill of the air inside the place. Hot with energy that whirled in a hundred forms. A witch might not be able to arm wrestle you but their power was by far the most versatile.

What caught his eye was in the locked glass cabinet behind the counter and he moved closer like he was being pulled to it. A charm, a crucifix, its gems pure and perfect. So perfect that they sang to him the way some stones of power could. Clearing his throat he caught the attention of the dark haired witch who it seemed worked there, but now his attention was on business rather than the sweet heaving mound of her breasts confined tightly in her corset. Alright, so maybe he could mix a little business with a little pleasure. Enjoying the view he pointed to the object in the case and had her show it to him.

"You made this, non?" Holding out his hand he felt the shivering brush of her skin against his as she laid the rosary across his palm. Immediately he could feel a force of power course through the item. "Tell me petite sorciere, could you add a stone to this for me, and leave it charged  but lacking of any particular charm on your part?"

The woman fluttered her adorable eyelashes and nodded, and he handed back the rosary so that he could take a piece of paper and pen in his hand and begin writing instructions for her. It only took a minute and when he was done he pushed the slip of paper back across to the woman with the racetrack curves.

"I will have a stone delivered to you tomorrow by courier. When you have finished have someone call me at this number and let me know that I can pick it up." Eyes that glowed like molten amber looked her over slowly and he thought that it really was too bad the place was so busy. Business first and pleasure later.

+Blaise came rushing in from the  front of the store just as Wendy was closing the ledger book. Startled periwinkle blue eyes stared at her best friend. A giggle bubbled from her throat, cute and sweet like. Blaise put the order in front of Wendy. Turned up nose itching as she smelled something oh so sweet.

Something about this order. The paper was placed in her hand by Blaise. The fire witch was saying something about the guy that was just there. "Wendy you have to meet this guy!" Blaise's breathy little girl voice that could be compared to Jennifer Tilly called out. Another bubbly giggle from Wednesday. "Will you fill this order. Instructions are on the paper." Blaise was saying.

And so it was. Wendy in charge of setting a gem that was to come in by carrier on the rosary. Mystery; was the scent on the paper. It was different hard to place. Made her head spin and sent little shocks down her spine. Ripples of pleasure. Hard to place. Fingertips brought the sheet to her nose taking in a deeper scent of it. Something in her brain sent more of those shocks down her arms, over her legs reaching the tippy tips of her toes. Mystery scent belonging to a Mystery Man. Oh Wendy loved a good Mystery indeed.

----------------------------------------~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~----------------------------------------------

After the carrier came by dropping off the gem. Wendy set to work. Blaise had taught her how to work on gems, like she taught the fire witch a bit about potions. They were an awesome team. Who said water and fire couldn't get along? Pish posh! Fire sparked from the machine tip wielding the gem in place. The last bit was to charge the gem without putting a specific spell on it. Just a good magically charge piece of jewelry. The process took a few hours. It was well into the afternoon almost night time when the call came to the man.

"Hello? This is Wednesday Puffin from Thirteen Moons, I have your order. You can come by an pick it up in an hour. If you wish to come by tomorrow, please call me back."

The message was left for the Mystery Man.+
