The chair he sat in on the hotel balcony was really an armchair from the living room that he had pulled outside to enjoy the air and the view of the pool. Below him the lagoon-like pool was swarming with nubile young bodies enjoying the sun. Caine licked his lips as his amber eyes watched the teaming life beneath him. Naked, his golden body kissed by the sun, he felt a dull aching pain in his back where he bore the marks of scratches and bites left by the hyena at the art gallery. Lycanthropes were such active lovers, so verile and acrobatic. It was almost more like aerobic exercise than anything else. If the island was so plentiful then he would never need a gym membership.
Muscled thighs tensed a moment as he stretched, arms lifted overhead with a pair of satin panties dangling from his fingers. Dropping the blue satin he let the panties fall onto his upturned face, covering it in smooth fabric that itched against the stubble of his chin. Caine drew in a long breath through his nose, feeding on the scent of the woman's sex where it lingered in the crotch of those lovely underthings. He would have been consent to lay lazily in the sun just like that, but apparently someone else had other plans.
Suddenly light burned at him when Aurora stepped out onto the balcony and snatched the underwear off his face. Caine blinked against the light and then peered up at his sister with a lazy smile on his face. Empathic power came in handy with Aurora, even when she tried to hide it he could always tell when she was angry, and he relished it. Rolling up slightly onto one hip his body was stretched out and displayed to perfection, kissed by the sunlight. Well muscled and toned, but not overdone, his form hairless except for a dusting of blonde at his chest. Everything else was kept trim, after all it was only polite. He never expected anything from his lovers that he wasn't willing to endure himself.
"Lazy bastarde." Aurora spoke with little emotion in her voice before tossing the panties off the balcony where they fluttered down to the ground as a surprise for the swimmers below. "This came today. What exactly do you expect me to do with it?"
Lifting her hand she displayed to him the painting from the gallery the night before. Looking it took him awhile to figure out what it was. Had he ordered a painting? Really he hadn't been paying much attention. Caine spent money like a drunken sailor, with little regard to its value. The painting was of flowers that to him looked most suggestive. No surprise there. Laughing he made a nonchalant motion with his hand that said he could care less.
"Give it to the hotel, or your charge. Throw it away. What is it to me." Caine rolled back onto his back, legs stretching out as he wiggled his toes. An idea struck him and he couldn't help but laugh again in that gravelly way that was so enchanting. "I think I'll send it to the girl. Petite hyene will appreciate it more than I. Just leave it on the bed and I'll take care of it." Closing his eyes he pretended she wasn't there any longer. What Aurora rather do most was break it over his hard head. She tossed the piece of work on the bed making sure it wouldn't break. Not that she personally cared for it either. She walked away from her dear brother before she did something worse. The painting would sit in his hotel room for days before he remembered that he had promised to do something with it. The problem of course was that he didn't remember the woman's name, had never gotten it in fact. A call to the gallery would reveal her name and number in their guest book. The gallery was only too happy to send a messenger service to retrieve the painting and send it along to the mystery woman. It was the least he could do. Literally.
Keiko was puzzled when Mahina told her that there was a delivery for her. She had not ordered anything nor did she remembered the pack house address to anyone who would be sending her something. The only people she could think of that would send her something was her parents and that was unlikely. They never talked. They were happier when she was away from them. She did not remind them of what a dissappointment she was to them that way. She came down stairs to the door. She still looked puzzled as a courier had her sign for the package and handed over a large flat box.
She started to carry it up the stairs to her room to open it. Her eyes widened in surprise as she noted the address of Loke's gallery on the box. No it couldn't be. She never even gave him her name. She hurried up the stairs hoping to avoid encountering anyone else. She could not stop the blush that suffased her face at the memories of that night at the gallery. She set the box on her bed like it was a dangerous grenade or something. She stared at the box on the bed as she moved away from it. Do I open it? What if it is from him? What if Loke sees it? She would be sure to recognise it.
Keiko chided herself for being silly. While she had never in her life reacted to anyone the way she had him, he had not really harmed her. She grinned as she candidly admitted to herself that it was some of the best sex she had ever had. She was just embarrassed at where it happened and how. She was not in the habit of sleeping with perfect strangers. She was more embarassed orver her own lack of control with the man more than anything. She was afraid to call him by his name even in her mind. It might make him seem......more real and less like a dream. If he was real, then she would have to admit to herself how much her lack of control with him had really bothered her.
She approached the box with a determined stride. She opened it up pulled out the twine wrapped painting. Her hands shook a little as she untied the twine and pulled the plain brown paper off the painting. Her eyes rounded in surprise and horror as she saw the painting. She groaned and carefully set the painting away from her. The painting was too valuable for her to just throw it away. She was way too practical for that. She groaned helplessly knowing the painting would cause questions from at least Loke. She so did not want to have that conversation with anyone from the pack.
