Shutter. Click. Shutter. Click. A smile curled her lips as she watched the family outside the Horde house. Damon, Jude, Jason, Raine, Gillian, and of course Adam. Jake was running around, tail wagging with excitement. Jude was tossing the Frisbee at the dog. Ephony was behind her birthday present from Damon. The sound of another shutter followed by the click. Her finger snapped away filling the memory card with exactly that. Memories of this horde. She would use some of the prints to paint on canvas later. For the time being her enjoyment was found snapping pictures at the family enjoying themselves. The Nikon was set around her neck carefully. It had been such a surprise from Damon. He understood Ephony's love for art. Different forms of art. Photography, painting, drawing. It didn't matter to her. She loved to paint most of all, and teaching was another of her passions. Often she told her students that finding different ways of expression oneself was excellent. Even if you were mastering in modern art, trying classical art expanded their horizons. The smell of the barbeque was making her stomach turn. Perhaps it was time for her to get something to eat. The horde wasn't going anywhere today. They were spending more time together. With busy lives and the recent tragedy with Human first, they needed to be closer. Adam seemed to be enjoying himself with the Horde here today. Dark cacao arms circled that of her husbands, pressing her form as much against his own she could manage without the camera dangling from her neck getting in the way. Ephony hadn't thanked her husband properly yet. Ephony would thank him later that night once the Horde was safely tucked in their beds or in Adam's bed. __________________
