.: Brendan was really shocked to check his voice mail, and not hear a woman's voice on the other end. The only other males he usually heard were working names, like his agent, Ace Ventura, or his Da, Peter. But this call was in reference to the job he posted in the Chronicle, just a day before--and he thought the name Brendan sounded very familar to him. Hadn't he been the fella Brand was chatting with about Element decks at the first bonfire?

Well any offer was a serious offer, he surmised. Having received the contact information, Brandon returned the phone call, apparently missing the young man and catching his voice mail. So the Aussie super model left a message upon the other's phone. There was nothing better than playing phone tag, but eventually the game would end, and a serious choice had to be made about who would be the one chosen to become Next Top Housekeeper.

Brandon elected to do a telephone interview to weed out any potential losers. What he didn't want was some unreliable sod, that would broadcast his private life to every Tom, Dick and Harry in Hawaii. So after telling Brendan a clear case of what was required of him in the job, he asked him to answer the following questions. He spoke slowly, and took his time in between questions, because he knew that this was just a message and it had to be brief. The main interview could take place at his place, at a given time agreed upon by the two men.


1. What qualities do you possess make you feel cut out to be my housekeeper?
 
2. Are there any general household chores that you prefer not to do, or prefer to do?

3. Have you worked as a housekeeper in the past?

4. May I obtain written letters of recommendation from your references?

5. May I perform a background check on you by obtaining a copy of your driving record, do a background check, or drug screening?

6. How good are you at retaining a person's privacy and why do you feel it is important to do so for a client?

7 Were you interested in a flat fee for services rendered, or an hourly fee? Live out, or live in?


That was the brief synopsis of Brandon's phone interview, and the answers were dependent on Brendan getting a live interview, so the answers he would receive would have to be top notch in order to be considered. It was quite apparent that Brandon considered this a serious endeavor. It wasn't just everyday that he invited a total stranger into his home, amongst his private world. He wanted to be careful, so he was playing his cards right. :.
