Lexi had not arrived home alone. No, she had Juran and Mahina with her. All three of them were bloody, though the rain had tried to wash it away. She and Juran were in the process of moving an unconcious Mahina from the car, into the house. Damn. The door was locked. Hip leaned against the door while she fished her keys out of her pocket and went about unlocking the door before straightening and shoving her way inside. As soon as she entered, she yelled loud enough to wake the dead.

``Ash, Sil, Memphis, Elena!`` There was urgency in her call, making it sound almost as if she had just strung the four names together into one long one. But you couldn't really fault her. Lexi had been helping at the scene from the start without regard for her own injury. The adrenaline was beginning to ebb, leaving her with a headache and wishing nothing more than to collapse for a while.

But, she couldn't collapse until Mahina was taken care of, and Juran wanted to take a look at her head. She was about to call out again when Momma came bustling in. A sigh issued from her lips as she looked at the older woman. She quickly explained the basics of what had happened and that they needed to get Mahina to shift as soon as possible. In order to do that, they needed Ash, Sil, Memphis, or Elena, anyone who could force Mahina to shift. A faint twitch of her lips as Momma went to find the people in question.

A glance was sent toward Juran and a slight nod of her head was given toward the sliding door. ``Let's go. Momma will tell them where we've gone.``

So, with Juran's help, she'd head out to the forest. Getting Mahina to the lupanar was important. It would be safer, and cleaner, for her to shift there. After all, they had already dripped water and blood all over the living room carpet. She knew how much Ash hated a mess, but it really wasn't something she could control right now. A slow breath was taken of the familiar forest scents, calming her frayed nerves.

When they arrived at the lupanar, they could carefully lay Mahina down and wait for the others to arrive. Hopefully they wouldn't have to wait too long. Once Mahina had shifted and was healed, Lexi fully intended to crawl in bed beside her to watch over her... or attempt to watch over her since she was tired beyond belief.

Carrying Mahina, glad for the stretcher that the paramedics let, well okay did not know they were really missing, but it was not one of the bed-type ones. Inside, Momma came out and he still had to get used to the woman, nothing wrong with her, a stern, but lovely woman who cooks damn well, just not used... to a mother sort of figure anymore. At Lexi's suggestion, he nods his head and they both head outside, he has not been to the Lupanar here and is curious, following where Lexi's leads as she moves ahead, directing.

At the Lupanar after a bit of a walk, he had memorized how to get there, but it was not tough, thankful for that, his direction sense..... is not so good at times. Setting Mahina down carefully, the woman still going in and out of consciousness and he gives her hand a reassuring squeeze. He is not the best in crisis and is really really glad Lexi was there, she had kept Mahina calm through it all and had helped immensely, surprised she did not know much of medical aide, but when she asked, he would be more than glad to show her.

While they waited, he turns attention to her.

"I want to look at your head, please."  When permitted by her, he would lift his hands and not touch her wound, but inspect it carefully and assess how badly it is. She may be fighting it, but he could tell some of it was taking it's toll and like him, she was just pushing past any pain and making someone else her priority, he admires her for that.

"You may need a stitch or two, until it heals, but it is not that bad. I could do it for you, if you did not want to go to a hospital, after Mahina is taken care of."  That last bit said and he turns his head, inhaling the air as if able to smell anyone approaching, but no one coming.... yet.

Juran had been the quick thinker, 'borrowing' the stretcher from one of the ambulances that had not been watched at the time. It was so much easier to move Mahina now and Lexi had to wonder why she hadn't thought of doing the same thing. At any rate, when Juran spoke up about her head wound again, she gave a faint nod, leaning toward him so that he could get a good look at the one and a half inch gash that was attempting to heal at this very moment. There was less pain than she had expected, although her head had begun to throb and she would dearly love to sleep for a week.

``Yes, thank you. I would rather avoid the hospital if at all possible.`` She was too worn now to even bother attempting to give him a smile.

So, it was no wonder that when Sil showed up, Lexi gave a sigh of relief. As soon as the swamp wolf was in reach, Lexi hugged her tightly, brushing her cheek against the lupa's. She sat back on her heels, marshalling her thoughts to give Sil the bare facts that she knew.

``I went to see the fireworks. There was a rumble underground and the street exploded. I did what I could to help get the injured to the paramedics, then I caught sight of Juran. He's hurt, too.`` A motion toward his side before she continued, her hand rubbing Mahina's to let her know that she was still there with her. ``We were going to keep helping, but Juran saw Mahina. He set her leg and immobilized her arm, but she can't hear us, Silent. She screamed that she couldn't hear anything. I drove as fast as I could to get her home.``

Emerald gaze moved from Silent, back to Mahina's face. To Lexi, Mahina was like a drop of sunshine, brightening the day when she smiled, so to see her like this wrenched the vixen's heart painfully.

``Whatever you need me to do, just tell me.``

Gaze flicked back to Sil, waiting to see what she would do.

Mahina did a sigh of relief a bit louder then usual when her eyes opened and the sight of the house could be seen. She did her best not to complain with whincing or whining from the bumps and turns that she felt each and every one. They were careful to carry her out of the vehicle and the sight of Momma had Mahina opening her mouth, but the woman was quick to hush her. Mahina treasured the woman. Her cooking was what got her through the healing from Lilith's 'deathly'attack and she knew she would be receiving it again. She was quiet when they carry her all the way out to the Lupanar. But there was a stirring in the air that Mahina could feel and could feel Koko wanting out more then ever.

She could hear nothing, not even when Momma reached down and squeezed her hand and spoke on starting her cooking before moving back into the house. She couldn't hear Juran or Lexi and it was disturbing. More then the pain that was worse then ever. If this sort of pain is similiar to having a child, count her out. Her entire body throbbed and it hurt to breathe for it felt like she been ran over by a Mack truck four times, over and over.

The smell in the air became very promident and sure enough, the one it belonged to came to sight.......Silent. Tears starting to fall, when the shewolf started to touch her hair. "NEED TO SHIFT" her wording came out like a shout. She didn't mean to have spoken so loud, but she couldn't here, the blood was caked around both ears and the bleeding slowed. But her leg and shoulder are what hurt the most and trying her damnest to focus on Silent and not the pain worsening. She owed Lexi and Juran a great deal and now Silent. Using her right-good hand she reached for Sil's and wrapped around to squeeze. Nodding to signal she was ready. The force of the shift would feel like nothing compared to the pain now that was causing Mahina to breathe a little faster. "READY." Again louder then her normal hawaiian tone.

Mahina set down and he offers a smile to Momma, still needing to get used to the woman, but not like she is someone anyone can hate, a mother that everyone needs from time to time. Concern marrs his features at Mahina's state, the inability to hear it is bad and her eardrums could have been shattered. He and Lexi were lucky they were not that close to the blast and he looks to Lexi and her head wound. She said it was okay to check and he saw the healing, his own warming touch reaching out to her, even as it works his own body, but not needing to shift.

"It is already healing, here I will just put this on."  Ah and surprise surprise, not only was a stretcher taken, but he pilfered some other medical supplies, he can move quick when need be. He takes out a small pack of butterfly tape and when Lexi leans to him, concentrating, he cleans her wound with a rubbing alcohol pad, tearing the packet and then he carefully sets the butterfly tape across the wound, which would be tight enough to actually close the wound, from any infection and help it heal better than being exposed. He gathers up the wrappers and puts them into his pants pocket, uncaring of his own wounds, hardly even feeling them... really!

"There."  Just as the last was gathered up, Lexi was moving and he turns, a scent he had only encountered once filled his nose, unconsciously and he turns to look and see Silent, the Hookah, then that day in the house and he smiles to her, feeling a bit uncomfortable, she is the Lupa and he has not introduced himself yet, now not even the time.

He moves to step aside and watch, concerned over Mahina and he began to pace, the blood had dried on his clothing, his side aching, but he would feel an almost added strength at Silent's own status alone, despite her own power. He offers a smile to her and tried to remain still.

"I too will help if you need."  He says after hearing Lexi, almost as if losing his ability to speak until that moment. Just waiting to help, but watch as Mahina shifts and will be healed, thankfully, the poor woman in so much pain.

" I know dalin...I know. Shhh...Let me heal you."

Of course Mahina couldnt hear Silent...But the beast could feel her.Silent's sheilds that had been locked up tighter then the gates at area sixty one.Following Momma she would kiss the woman's dark cheek and thank her...Only to ask her to give Ash a call....Even Memphis and Elena. In case she could call the beast out....But this close to the full moon it shouldnt of been a great deal/

Now Lexi's kissed wasnt missed....Nor was Juran's nervousness....They were just put to the side for the moment. Mahina first...Then Lexi...Juran....Well he didnt look extreamly hurt..Not from the few glances she had spared his way....But ....

"You two stick around....Ill check you too out as well....Umm...Juran....Call the clinic see if Dr.Goodall will come out tommorrow or sometime tonight..."

What good would that do? She had no fucking clue...Dispite her pretending to be in control...and calm she was freaking out. Taking a deep breath she would sit on the ground beside Mahina setting the woman head in her lap letting that comforting soothing smell of the swamps wrap around them...as well as the fox and wolf that stood close by....The not demanding the hawaiian wolf to change....But coaxing it out...Trying to make it as painless as possiable for the girl....She was in enough pain...On that metaphysical plane...The black swamp wolf danced along the grey one...Almost in a playful jesture...

"common...Do this..."

From the darkness of the tropic jungle like area that surrounded their lupana...She could feel them....Those who lived beyond the veil...Those wolves who wanted to teach...And right now Silent was ready to listen. Beneath her hands she could feel the shift starting to take place...All that was left was for the she wolf to give in....That coaxing of the beast didnt just remain on Mahia...But reached out to the others....Even in its own way called to the swamp wolf within.

It's true, Mahina couldn't hear her (nor anyone for that matter) but on the metaphyscial level, Koko tilted her head at the swamp wolf she knew it wanted.....something but what? Koko followed and rubbed along it's side. Mahina on the otherhand, could feel the pull, it was similiar to Ash's but that coaxing was bringing the pain to a level that made Mahina want to resist but she didn't. Remembering that she had to shift and letting the pain absorb and for a split second she held in her breath. Koko turned to it's human shell and pranced up and out, silvery white fur flowed forward where skin was, bones crunching and reshaping to that of Koko's limbs and a extra popping when the shoulder reformed back into place and shin was back to it's orginal state. Her face reformed to that of a wolf's muzzle, long dark tresses were gone and replaced by that silvery white fur and ears twitched and Koko sprang to stand on it's paws and moved from Silent to shake the clear goo off and sit to scratch at each ear right when the ear drums formed back. She stood to let out a howl towards the woods, towards it's lost brothers and sisters. To thank them in their aide to the Lupa in guiding her.

Turning her head back to Silent's as she pranced over and licked her face. To Koko and Mahina; Silent will always be their Lupa and with the lick of appreciation, came whimpering. It was in that moment that expressed the love the beast held for Silent (as well as Mahina). Four months ago was in the past and in this moment with Mahina not fighting Silent to make her shift, showed how much Mahina respects and appreciates the Lupa. Just like with Lexi and Juran, Mahina will owe her big time for this. Sitting beside the Lupa and then laying down to rest her head in her front paws and whimper.

The alcohol stung when Juran cleaned the wound and applied the butterfly tape, but that was a small price to have paid. From somewhere, she'd managed to dredge up a smile of thanks before all her attention was centered on Silent and Mahina. She watched and left her shields down, feeling that gentle coaxing. When the lure to shift her form began reaching for her, shields were reluctantly moved into place, much to her counterpart's displeasure. No, Lexi would not let the russet-pelted vixen run free with Mahina's wolf, much as both human and fox might enjoy it.

It was always an amazing sight, watching a lycan shift, regardless of that clear goop that always emerged. Her fingers itched to run through the fur, knowing it would be warm, and so she allowed herself to do so. Hand was run along the wolf's neck and back, fingers working in a gentle massage type rhythm.

Gaze turned to Juran, then Silent, as she swayed slightly. Her eyes closed for a moment before she pushed herself off the ground to stand. The quick movement made her wince as the dull throbbing in her head took to pounding in time with her pulse.

``I think.. I'll just go on to the house and get cleaned up. Mahina will be all right now, won't she, Silent?`` A glance toward the Lupa. She had to be sure that there was nothing else needed of her before she went to take care of herself. That was just her nature. Help others, then worry about self.

When she got the all clear, Lexi would make her way back to the house and head straight for the bathroom. There was no salvaging her clothes, so she simply threw them in the trash. Every last trace of blood was scrubbed from her body and the pink tinge disappeared down the drain. Hair was washed twice to be sure it was clean before she felt ready to emerge from the steamy bathroom. Russet silk robe was wrapped around her body, tied loosely at the waist, as she went to the kitchen. A bottle of water was filched from the fridge so that she could down the four aspirin for her head. It wouldn't last long, but it would help take the edge off.

Then it was into the living room to see what she could do about cleaning up the mess they had made on the carpet. Knuckles rubbed at tired eyes as she set to work on the still wet blood and dirt. She wasn't going to leave it without at least trying to clean up.

Of course, her body had other ideas in mind. So when the others came back in, Lexi would be found leaning against the back of the couch, asleep with a bottle of Resolve in one hand and a washrag in the other.

Assured that Lexi is all right, attention just like Lexi's had turned towards the woman he now knows at their Lupa and Mahina and he watches. A tingle as his own protectives were washed aside, allowing in that lull of pack and his eyes closed, then squeezed shut and teeth grit as he fought the urge to shift. Mostly used for a sort of balance, like Lexi, but the pull to shift was strong, though thankfully not focused at him and lending a bit from somewhere, maybe Lexi's resolve in some way and he avoided it, but not without some consequence and he breathed hard, keeping control and not letting it slip, he could not....
As Lexi left and he watches a bit longer as Mahina and Silent wind down, getting a bit antsy and as Mahina heals, he asks Silent if they should bring her inside and so they do, on the stretcher to not agitate her broken and now healing bones. Once inside, sight is caught of Lexi and he looks to Silent, Mahina now asleep and they move upstairs to bring her to her room, setting mahian on her bed, minus stretcher which is moved to the side of the room, out of the way. He will keep that, never know when may need it.
Moving downstairs, after bidding Silent a goodnight and thanks, not sure if she will join Mahina.  He needing to shower, but his job not done. He moves down to the livingroom and surveys Lexi's work, he will finish it for her. He steps to the side of her sitting, yet limp body and slides his arms beneath her to lift her up, not wanting to leave her in the room with the scent and memories of what happened, even with them fading and he carries her upstairs. At the top landing, he sniffs the air and proceeds down the hall, finding her room and he halts, looking to the door of her room and then down to Mahina's, which is conjoined with his and makes a decision. Lexi seems to like Mahina and vice versa, she is pack.... Decision made and he turns about face and moves down to Mahina's room, stepping inside after nuding the door open with shoed foot. Setting her on the bed near Mahina,  he slips her legs under the blanket and then covers her up to her chest, not touching her in anyway inappropriately, her arms left over the blanket. Watching her a moment, he leans and rubs his neatly-bearded cheek to hers, careful not to scratch her softer skin with his nuzzle, then he turns and leaves. Moving downstairs, despite his body's ache, from not only fighting the urge to shift, which had been very hard, fatigued now and the only reason he was able to resist it, is due to it was not focused upon him, he otherwise is not strong enough to resist the Ulfric or Lupa's call.
Downstairs, a new cloth taken up, the other in the trash and he scrubs what is left to get the last remnants of the blood up, just finishing Lexi's work. Once done, he dumps that cloth and then goes to get himself showered and changed, scrubbing well to his body, the blood having dried too well onto his flesh. Decked out in a pair of boxer shorts, his clothes trashed and he looks for a phone, needing to call Andrea. He goes downstairs, smiling to Momma and uses the kitchen phone, no answer, so he leaves a message. 'Mahina has shifted with the Lupa's help, she is resting and so am I, healing, will be home a bit later. Love you.'
Message left, he hangs up, goes to get a bottle of water from the fridge and he opens it, downing the entire bottle, tossing it in the recycle bin and he moves upstairs and to Mahina's room, closing the door. Juran knows it will help healing to have more than one person alone, why he added Lexi, hoping she will not mind. He watches them and Lexi not too close, but he crawls onto the bed, careful not to disturb them and he curls close to Mahina, to give her his warmth and whatever strength he has, he curls his left arm around her furred body, his other arm just barely touching Lexi's and he fell into a deep sleep, snoring softly.
