Chance tended to stay out of people's business, as much as she could anyway.  But, there tended to be times when she just couldn't keep her nose clean, and this whole jade thing had her brain going into over drive.  There were so many damn factors involving the who, what, when, why and hows, she just might have an annurism trying to figure it all out.  She knew the spell that bound the woman was a Flesh to Stone spell.  It was an ancient one, centuries old, and would take a powerful being (or a stroke of luck) to make it work, and well ... the person would die.  This wasn't the case.  For some odd reason, the encased woman was very much alive.  True Sight told her that much.

This was one of the reasons she found herself inside the occult shoppe once more.  She actually had a couple of valid reasons to be there.  She wasn't sure there was another Earth witch around who could perform a reversal spell, like she could, but even if there was, were they connected to an Air witch, which would boost her power over 100%?  She didn't think so, and being so connected to Miyu like she was, gave them both power unimaginable.  It was breathtaking.

Oh yeah, her reasons for being there?  She was making ammulets for herself and Miyu, binding the two girls together, heart and soul.  A deeper connection than anyone could imagine.  When evoked, there would be no stopping the two, it was going to be impossible.  The other reason?  She needed some rare herbs to finish up the incense that would be required to help in the conjuring of the spell for the reversal of the one that this woman got herself into.  It would be dangerous, she knew that much.

Chance loved a challenge and both of her reasons proved to be just that.  She was doing both on her own accord, and she had no idea why.  She didn't know the woman, but she wasn't going to last much longer inside the jade.  Something had to be done, and it was going to take an Earth witch to do it.  Stone to Flesh was tricky and the woman inside might not be right afterwards.  Once she got the right ingredients and get Miyu to help, she'd find out who ever it was that was close to the woman and let her know she might be able to help.

Rifling through some random herbs, Chance sighed softly, the deep green eyes drifting towards the back, feeling the thrumming power of the jade calling to her.  She didn't see anyone around.  Maybe she could just sneak into the back and get a glimpse of the jade, study it a bit closer...?

It wasn't everyday Erica went shopping. Why go out when ordering in was so convenient. Unfortunately, for her needs not everything could be found within the Delivery section of the Yellow Pages. Sad but true, some shops really needed to get with the times.

After setting and double checking the wards on her house, Erica poured herself into her car and drove the 2.6 miles to a small strip mall frequented mostly by the locals. There she traded up to a taxi cab, which in turn took her to Thirteen Moons. She paid with cash, tipped the driver just the right amount and headed for a store near the occult shop. Once the cab was gone, Erica made her way back outside, taking a moment to survey the street before heading for Thirteen Moons. A shop that specialized in the occult and used the number Thirteen. It wasn't an ominous number, if anything in some countries it was a good luck number, like Seven or Nine. Still, the sorceress couldn't help herself when she smiled. Thirteen, maybe her master was trying to tell her something.

Taking  a moment, Erica checked her reflection in a small compact. With no makeup, her dark hair hidden under a red which, which in turn was covered by a ratty baseball cap. A blue t-shirt and jeans, she looked just like six billion other people on the planet. Unremarkable, unmemorable, and best of all, harmless.

The little bell dinged above her head, prompting her inner cynic to scoff at the quaint little feature. If it were up to her, the doormat would arise and bite the person's ankles by way of greeting. Good thing she couldn't telegraph her thoughts with her smile, which bordered between friendly and forced.  Glancing around, Erica found herself chafing inside her own skin. Good magic dwelt here, good little witches staining the aura with their power. Where was a bottle of bleach and a scrub brush when you needed one.

A ping of something new and interesting piqued the sorceress' mind. A feel of magic that wasn't remotely good or squeaky clean. Amid the visuals of fluffy clouds she saw it as a dark spot. A kindred sight among the amulets and herbs and useless trinkets designed for stupid tourists who fancied themselves magic users. Perfectly harmless, a decoy to keep the mundanes away from the more dangerous items. Picking one up, a mix of herbs for a love spell, Erica absently played with the packet as she glanced around. Funny, she expected the place to be filled. Hoped it would be filled...disappointment. A feeling she did not much care for. "Hello?!  Anyone minding the shop or has an invisibility spell gone horribly, horribly wrong?"

Hook meet bait meet open water.

Miyu had promised Lyl that she would stop in to the occult store and visit the imprisoned Llydia.  With Hachi leading the way with his leash the blind witch moved without hestiation.  Although the turns and steps where counted, so she could find her way there next time without having to depend on being lead to the shop.  Being blind wasn't a problem, but she had to make the show of having the seeing eye dog.  When Hachi stopped at the door his massive tail swaying behind him to slap against Miyu's thigh.  Blind eyes lifted upwards toward the building feeling something so familiar from inside as slender fingers reached out openning the door.

The elemental bound within the faux form of the Shrine dog stopped short just inside the doorway it's overly intelligent eyes focused on Erica.  Miyu slipped in behind Hachi and a hand came down to rest on the dog's massive head which was at hip height.  The vision that rolled into her head was fuzzy and disorienting and she had to take a step to keep from keeling right over.  The hair on Hachi's back rose but Miyu wasn't focused on that.  Instead she felt her other half, Chance.  Feet moved as she let the air guide her toward the pull of the earth witch.  Miyu lit up her face completely, till she was beside Chance.  The two elements melded together, the air pulsing around Miyu as if it was alive.  Hand reaching out to touch Chance and that connection was made.

Erica while there and visable was completely ignored, not out of spite mind you but because the call of her elements twin was to much to resist.  Hachi followed Miyu, though his blue eyes remained focused on Erica.

"Sister..."

Death and Earth went hand in hand with Chance.  It wasn't something one usually just happened to come across, that's for sure.  It was a goft, given to her by that damn Sidhe God.  She had accepted it, with open arms, much to many people's dismay, but it fit the witch, whether she liked it or not.  She heard the bell tinkle over the door, ignoring.. alright, so she didn't ignore it, she just sorta was lost in her own world for the moment, deciding to try and sneak back into the back room or not.  She sighed and turned around to see who just happened to waltz in and yell out, alerting people there were people in the building.

There is no such thing as good witch vs evil witch.  White magic vs black magic.  It's all a myth.  It's just how you USE the magic that defines what you are or what it is.  Chance was neutral.  She wasn't either good or evil, white or black.  Earth magic couldn't be either or, especially when it is laced with death.  So when the green eyes landed on Erica, she gave her a once over to see who she was, smiled to her and spoke up.  "I'm not really sure there's anyone here, if they are, they're hiding."

That was when she felt the wind slice through her and her smile grew.  She knew her kindred spirit was there, her face brightening some.  Watching Miyu sidestep Erica, brow rose up slightly.  Sure, she felt a darkness in Erica, but Chance didn't discriminate, since she practiced some of the 'darker' arts as well.  Once Miyu's hand was in her own, she laced fingers with that of the other hald and gave a squeeze, letting the soft breeze surround her and wrap her up in a blanket of warmth and freedom.

"Hey ... What's up?"

The vibrations in the air felt like Jell-O that's been left out int he sun for too long. Mushy and thick and so delightfully calorie free. Good magic, or rather power tainted with good intentions.  If only someone had come up with a white noise machine that could do the same for magic. Block out the power of others so that it didn't cling to everything and everyone.

Smiling as pleasantly as Erica could make herself without letting the expression look fake, she glanced in the direction of the witch who greeted her. "Ah, well guess more for me then." A loaded comment if there ever was one but it could mean just about anything, especially when Erica looked away to see another witch enter. A two for one special, how nice.

The dog made her eyebrows rise. A curious creature that was no more earthly flesh and blood than her imps. The thought of feeding the creature to her master's pets brought a quirk to her lips. But those thoughts were promptly hidden beneath a veil of banality. All Erica needed was some herbs and spices maybe a trinket. A heart, a liver, preferably those pretty eyes of the Earth witch. All things readily available if only there was a sale's clerk near by. Flashing her teeth in a grin at the air bender Erica rolled a pink crystal between her fingers as she turned half-away away from the witches.

With two of them there was one too many, for the time being anyway, the point was to get them alone, or at least learn when and where the coven would gather. Places like this always drew groups hell bent on forming circles and channeling Gaia or praying to some earth deity. What a joke, there was only one power worth praying to. Dropping the crystal on a near by shelf Erica looked down at the dog, tilting her head slightly only to watch the dog mimic her actions. For some reason that made her grin all the wider. "Hi there puppy, aren't you a pretty thing. And what's Your name?" Naturally the dog could talk, but his witch could.

Hachi's blue eyes followed Erica, he could distinguish good from bad on a certain level.  Although Elementals could be used for good or bad purposes, this one was as it looked a guardian for it's witch mistress.  Hackles rose even more along it's spine but it didn't attack or even growl.  Miyu felt the prickle of warm heat against her back and she turned blind eyes on Erica as she spoke about Hachi.   She blink, she felt something but wasn't aware of what it was.  Miyu was the ideal Shinto priestess, innocent and pure, sweet and delicated.  She had decidated herself to her path, having mastered the use of Air as her guide, protection and eyes.  The air pulsed around them once, which could be blamed on a faultyair conditioner, but it was in fact her.  It curled up and through Erica's hair what parts it could touch, and slid over her skin before retreating to curl once again around Miyu and Chance.

A small smile was given as she spoke in lue of Hachi.  "His name is Hachi, he's a Shinto Shrine Dog"  Most people asked what the massive beast was and she gave them an honest to goodness answer.  She did however leave out the fact that it was a Elemental in the form of a Shrine Dog.  Miyu's fingers reached down and touched Hachi's head, running them through the thick soft cool fur.  The connection was made and a breathy voice echoed in Miyu's head  Be careful Priestess, I smell something foul.   Although the elemental did not explain, simply because it could not.

"My name is Miyu, and you are?"

How nice, a building where the owners didn't skimp on the AC. As the cool air brushed over the tips of her wig, Erica absently reached up and flicked a few misplaced strands away from her eyes. Her fingers lingered over her eyes for a moment as she blinked her contact lenses back into place. Pesky things were one size fits most. It was sheer luck and good genes that kept her from having to resort to prescription contacts. Thankfully the colored ones could be bought just about anywhere. Hey she even had a pair of alien white ones. Erica had needs but once ina  while there was the want for a treat. You know what they said about all work and no play.

When the dog's hackles bristled, Erica found herself twitching not to kick the thing. Maybe she was just more of a cat person or maybe she didn't like the way Hachi was looking at her as if he could understand what the strange big two legged people talked about. Regardless Erica pulled her power closer to her. Wrapping it around her body like a cloak. To the world she was just a woman and nothing else. Nothing slid past her shields, not in or out. Just the way she liked it, within the cocoon of her own being.  Soon she'd be able to shed the masks and the wigs and be as she is. Soon, but not quite yet.

Glancing from the blind woman, which just made Erica grin ever so, to the odd dog, Erica nodded as if that was just the answer she expected. A shrine dog, right, and she was a Hula girl. But if that's what the witch wanted to call the thing then so be it. "Hi Hachi, aren't you cute.  And I'm Jessica..." The lie rolled smoothly off her devil tongue as Erica held out her hand towards the blind woman. Keeping her hand palm down so that if the dog did pounce the delicate veins were more or less protected.  A curious glance slid past Miuy's shoulder to the dirt witch, waiting for that one to throw her own name out into the ether.

Chance had smiled to the woman, but turned her attention to some ivy, holding out her hand to the vine.  As if it had a life all its own, which it naturally did, it curled around her hand lovingly, caressing the human flesh in total adoration, a softer cooing from Chance towards the plant that she was more kin too than most.  Keeping a close eye on Miyu, she felt a tremor of emotion come from her, dispatching Chance from the vine and moving with ease towards Miyu.

She felt a power in Erica, darker, but that was it.  Vodun wasn't exactly a light magic, neither was some of the darker black arts that Chance had dabbled in, but never took seriously, figuring that this witch before her prefered to use her power differently.  "Chance, nice to meet you, Jessica."  Hand absently rose to finger the pentacle pendant around her neck as eyes of emeralds flicked to Miyu then to Jessica's out stretched hand.

Releasing her pendant, Chance offered up her own to the woman, revealing the Sidhe God of Death's brand on her wrist, though her gaze went to the rose quartz she had been handling.  "Love spell?"

"Chance? What a charming name. Bet it's a total conversation starter." Amusement and good intentions positively oozed with every word as Erica shook Chance's hand. Glancing down at the marking on the woman's wrist she took about a second to register the symbol. Nothing in her mental library even came close by way of a description and so it was simply filed away for another day. Maybe it would have been prudent if Erica was familiar with marking of other powers and their uses. But call her an elitist xenophobe. Only one set of glyphs mattered and those were those in use by the chosen of the Master.  Pentacles be damned,  they were about as popular as the McDonald's golden arches thanks to some Sorcerer from long ago who didn't know how the meaning of the word Secret.

Now that everybody knew each other and were complete BFFs, Erica allowed herself a moment to gloat. Send a wolf into a flock of sheep and what do the sheep do? They nuzzle the wolf and shake it's paw. Witches the world over should be thanking Erica for culling the herd the way she was. Take Scott for example. The Sorceress doubted the world even noticed when Mr. Masters slipped from the world into hell. "Love Spell?" Confusion enveloped her in its hazy shroud for a moment before Erica snapped to attention and glanced at the pink crystal she abandoned a moment earlier. She allowed herself a small laugh at the very absurd notion of her needing a love spell of any kind. Cute, but the amusement didn't hold as Erica shook her head, and slapped that smile back on.  "Oh no, no love spells for me. I'm trying to cut down on those. I was looking for some Belladonna actually, and magnetic chalk."  Never mind a few organs she needed to go with the herbs and chalk. But then again, Erica thought as she looked from Miuy to Chance, she was very good at improvising.

Miyu's shoulders had tensed up, the elemental had no reason to lie to her.  It was after all bound to her and had sworn to protect her.  She hadn't realized Jessica had her hand out for a long moment then thought she might have before she reached out her hand.  Simple iron ring around her left thumb glinted with care as she offered that hand.

"Please forgive my manners."

Hachi however was not liking the situation and he backed up into Miyu, putting his large back against her legs, in essance putting himself between Erica and Miyu.  It was as it was, the guardian to the witch who needed it the most.  While she was strong in power she was blind and even if she could use the air around her as a radar she was still the weakest one of the bunch.  A shiver crawled up Miyu's spine and her hand the free one, guided by the air to close around Chance's.  She leaned into the woman.  Hachi had never acted so strangly but it made her trust the guardian dog.
