Yellow Pages - On the Hunt

The Yellow pages sat open in front of her as she stared at the many many numbers of ads.  A few she had called and inquired on pricing and almost had a heart attack that they would give a estimate well into the upper 90 thousand dollar range.  She wasn't asking for much, thankfully Marcus gave her a good shove in the right direction.  Just tear down the walls that where in the building as such and redo the lighting and then make the top floor a loft.  It had originally been a loft but it had since been left as a storage space and the upkeep had gone down the drain.  Pen tapped at the book and her head tilted at the ad before circling it and dialing the number, if Marcus hadn't dropped the sly hint she would have been lost on who to call.  If voicemail or voice picked up:

"Hello Adam, my name is Lokelani Asing, Marcus recommended you for some work I need done.  I recently purchased a surf shop down on Ma'lihoa and Pe'lei' Avenue.  I am looking to get an estimate to remodel the inside, I'll be turning it into an Art Gallery.  I would need the walls torn down and the lightening wiring reworked as well as the top third floor fixed up back into the original design of an open loft. "

-:The job sounded simple enough, though usually with construction you could count on a place needing 10X more work than the person hiring you thought. Mainly because most people didn't realize how much needed to be done when remodelling old space. For a friend of Marcus though no job was too big or too small.:-

"Lokelani, aloha. This is Adam Hunter returning your phone call. I'd like to meet with you sometimes soon to take a walk of the property so I can give you a price estimate. How would Sunday be? Give me a call back to confirm yes or no for Sunday at say one. Look forward to doing business with you."

-:It was all very casual, but that was just Adam. His voice was so peaceful that it could make a person delirious, casual just came naturally. Closing the phone and slipping it into his pocket he went back to the work he had been doing.:-

The phone already to her ear beeped signaling a message was left.  If it wasn't her father she was speaking too she would have answered the unknown number.  After saying her goodbyes and telling him she loved him, the phone was lowered and the end button hit.  Up then Send and she lifted the phone to her ear, as the robotic female voice said she had a message.  Moving from the couch she had been reclined on she wove her way in and out of the boxes and canvas' cluttering the hotel room toward the mini-kitchen.  Her head lifted, the door hanging open as she listened to the message.  Ha-ha!  Sucess!  Hitting 4 she waited for the voice to tell her to begin speaking, messaging him back without actually calling.

"Aloha Adam, this is Lokelani again.  I got your message and I am free sunday.  I hope it's not too much of a sudden thing.  I just was having no luck finding anyone to do it for less then 100 grand.  So, anyway, call me back or what ever.  I'll meet you there one on Sunday if I don't hear back from you.  Thanks!"

Closing the phone she looked around at the overly full room and shook her head.  Soon enough she could empty it out and get it into where it really belonged.  Although she still had no clue what to call the Art Gallery.
