[OOC: Been meaning to post this up, but keep getting sidetracked.]
Was there ever a day in Hawaii that wasn't as hot as its famous volcanos? If there was, the vixen hadn't encountered it yet. So, she'd dressed for the heat in her black swimsuit top with its little cream roses, covered it with a gauzy white shirt whose ends had been slipped through the first two belt loops of her denim shorts before being tied in a loose knot. But what outfit would be complete without her customary black knee-high boots? After all, where else was she going to store her cell phone, in a pocket? Psh. Not in these shorts, that was for sure. That denim-clad rear leaned against the hood of her 'Vette, arms crossed under her breasts while she waited.
Any minute now she expected Sean to escape from the bustling airport to come looking for her. She had, after all, promised to meet him here and since they wouldn't let her park out on the tarmac, she'd opted for doing so out front. She hadn't looked forward to the crush of people that would be inside, no doubt coming to the islands for a vacation or honeymoon.
Catching sight of a mop of red hair, she straightened, focusing that emerald green gaze in that direction. Damn, not Sean. Where was the little fox, then? Oh bother, he was probably waiting inside out of the heat for her to come fetch him. Moving around to the open window of the driver's side door, she grabbed her wallet to be crammed into her back pocket and slipped the ring that held her keys onto her finger. Then she was sauntering inside and headed toward the baggage claim. It was the most likely place to begin her search.
So, a moment's pause to find the best place to stand out of the way, and then her back came to rest against one of those nifty pillars. It wasn't as if she could be missed now. A glare here and there kept people from crowding her so she had about two feet of space between herself and anyone else.
+Just as promised he'd taken his finals then started packing. getting everything together for his big move. It didn't take long. All he had was records and comic books. Some clothes. That was about it. Sean had never beena pack rat. On the plane he listened to his head phones the whole way. He preffered the big thick muffler phones vs. the tiny modern earbuds. They were plugged into an ipod that blasted out a variety of eclectic music over the long plane ride.+
+As the plane landed he had leaned with his forehead smooshed up to the window of the plane. Getting an eyefull of beautiful beaches and palm trees. Way different from what he had just left in Salem. By the time they let him off the plane he was like something waiting to explode. His only bags were carry-ons. The few heavy boxes were being shipped. So with a backpack on and two duffle bags in his hands he headed out towards the front.+
+Automatic doors swished as they opened and he blinked rapidly when he came out into the bright sun. Yeah, this was awesome. But then he paused as he picked up Lexies scent, turning around and going back inside the baggage area. Scanning the people inside his eye finally fell on the Alpha fox. Hurrying towards her his bounding walk was made a bit awkward by the intrusion of those big duffle bags.+
"Lexie!"
+Dropping the bags at their feet he was grabbing her in a big hug in no time. Very different from the too shy boy he had been when they first met. It had been six months since he'd been around any of his own kind so his small red beast was chittering , energy racing around as he hugged the stronger female.+
"How's Ash? How's the pack? Have you heard anything from Lola? Did they get another cool house? Is there a room for me?"
+The questions came quickly as he grabbed his bags to follow her out to her car. Sean felt like he had missed so many things and he wanted to catch up.+
The scent of fox was unmistakable. Her tough-girl stance relaxing as she scanned for Sean's familiar form. A chuckle passed smiling lips as he made that awkward bounding movement toward her and called her name. The minute his bags hit the floor, she reached to hug him as well. She even went so far as to lift him off his feet by a couple inches and turn him in a circle.
"We missed you, love. Welcome home."
Her russet-pelted counterpart danced about, gekkering, at Sean's fox and batting at it. Meanwhile, Lexi had to chuckle again as she was assaulted by the questions, one right after another. She took one of the duffel bags from him so that she could drape her arm around his waist to guide him through the crowd and out to her car. It was a lot more touching than she had given before, one of the few changes in the time that she'd left Salem.
"Let's see.. I'm not sure who has what room right at the moment, but I'm sure we can find you one. If it comes down to it, you're welcome to share my room for a while. The pack is doing well. There are some new faces, some familiar ones gone."
As they came to the 'Vette, she opened up the passenger door and put the duffel bag she'd carried into the back seat before holding out a hand to Sean for the other two bags to put back there as well. When everything was finally loaded up, she moved around to the driver's side. Before she could get in, she had to fight a moment with her wallet to free it from her back pocket. After sitting, it was shoved half under her leg to keep it in place. British punk blared from the speakers the minute she got the temperamental beast started, and she quickly punched a button to shush the radio completely.
"I haven't heard from Lola since she left for Alaska, I'm afraid." A faint frown of worry. Lola was a sweet girl and Lexi sincerely hoped that everything was all right with her. Shaking off that mood, she smiled over toward Sean as left hand freed her phone from her right boot.
"But what about you, love? Other than school, how have you been?"
+Sean helped to get the things into the car before hopping into the front seat himself. Hands touching the leather interior with oohhs and ahhhhs. Carefully he put his backpack on the floorboard at his feet, shifting a little to get comfortable as they pulled out into traffic.+
"Oh, you know. Same old same old. Work and school. Without you guys there I didn't really have much of a life. I spent alot of time with Chad, but not much else. Gonna be working at the lycan clinic here too. Keep me busy so I don't bug you all the time."
+Nodding agreement to the idea of staying with her until he got his own room Sean relaxed into the seat and peered out the window. Palm trees and sunshine met his eyes. Wow-wee. This was definetly nothing like Salem at all. He wasn't sure yet if that was a good thing or a bad thing.+
"It's hard to imagine anything bad happening here. With everything so nice. Kind of hard for anything to be scary with so much sunshine."
