Fingers clentched around the steering wheel as did the drive around again at the airport.  It really was taking forever for her find James at the airport.  The man had been her lawyer since she had moved to Salem, and even now the attorney handled most of her work.  Keeping her businesses in line, because she obviously couldn't be in New Orleans, Salem and Madrid all at the same time with her tattoo shops.  The cellphone set in her lap rang as she reached down flipping it open and setting it against her ear.  She tilted her head moving over lanes to get into the arrival lane.

"James, are you outside waiting?"

James Harris III, attorney at law and her current lawyer and long time friend.  The rental car rolled up toward the people waiting and James was way to easy to find. Snapping the phone shut she girnned.   Slipping the car into park she climbed out as he glanced back and forth looking for the she-wolf.  Two fingers put in her mouth as she whistled sharply.  His head turned as she gave a wave, moving to pop the trunk.  He was in his late thirties, dressed to the nine's of course and black as coal.  He had a bright blinding white smile despite it.

"Can never miss you can we, Lokelani.  You're looking good, child."

Amber eyes lifted to his face and that shit eatting grin rolled across her lips as she lifted his two suitcases and sliding them in the trunk.  Slamming it shut she gave him a brief one armed hug before motioning for him to get in.  Once safe inside she pulled away from the parking area, moving back out to the main lanes.

"I'm glad you could make it on such short notice.  I'm sure Nadine is probably having a cow right now huh?"

James gave a laugh and like always he was ready to start working despite the long flight.  His laptop was openned propped on his lap, already signing into his welcome screen and getting down to business.

"She's actually thankful to have me out of her hair, although she is slightly jealous that I'm in Hawaii and she's not.  So what's the plan?  I got your mail yesterday."

Loke was driving quietly, thinking how she could explain what she wanted.  After finding her way back to the highway she would turn on to the Interstate and head back toward the hotel.

"I want to find some Commercial store front property with possibly a loft on a second floor or even a third flood.  I want to finally open an Art Gallery."  She chanced a glance at him as she spoke before looking back at the road.  "I don't need to worry about the art part of the problem, I have that handled.  It's just finding the property.  Also the bid that we got back in March on the house in Madrid, I want to take it.  Although the price is still $2.5"

James' fingers moved over the keyboard in his lap as he listened. He glanced up at her as she stated she wanted to unload the mansion back in Madrid.  He had been trying to get her to take the offer since March.  Arms came out of his black jacket and button on wrists unbuttoned as he rolled up his sleaves and chuckled.  "Took you long enough to make up your mind about that.  Well as for the Commerical store front, it might be a bit difficult, but you picked the best lawyer in town.. or well you know what I mean."

Loke laughed because she knew he was hounding her about selling the store.  She hadn't wanted to simply because she felt she owned the workers something.  "Did you get the paperwork I sent you?  I don't know why I have so much trouble with that shop in New Orleans.  Can you have one of the partners go down there and investigate and do what needs to be done?"

The cellphone at James' side was lifted as he dialed into the office, his fingers already moving over the keyboard. He gave her a nod as he started to talk.  Loke gave a grin feeling more comfortable now that James was here and ready to do business for her.

Over breakfast, which thankfully was had in James' room instead of her own cluttered one, they where finally able to talk about the situation at hand.  Which was good since Loke was severly impatient when it came to waiting.  It was that hurry up and wait game, not something she liked or was good at.  Sausage was cut in half and then half again before she stabbed the pancake slice and the sausage and set it in her mouth.  Her fork was pointed at him as she chewed, speaking out of the side of her mouth.  "So the Italian guy, he's going for the bid still?  And he knows we aren't lowering our prices yes?"

James lifted his Orange juice sipping at it before wiping at his lips and answering. "Yes he knows the price is $2.5, and he's willing to pay nearly all of it upfront, I belive his attorney stated he was willing to pay $1.5 up front cash and he was going to mortgage the rest.  It's going well, don't worry about it.  We will have the final paper work monday.  If we overnight it to Barcelona he can sign it then overnight it back to the Firm in Boston and by wednesday you should have that money in your bank account."

It was nice not having to leave to do business, it was even nicer that she had a legal team that was so damn good!  She swallowed the mouthful of food before grinning.  "I'm not worried, I'm impatient, you should know that already Mr. Harris.   Oh and did you get those pictures and the addresses and numbers I left for you at the front desk?"

A nod was given as he passed a hand over his shiney bald black head. "Impatient to a large degree.. and yes I got the paperwork you left for me.   You know Lokelani, doing the dirty work is my job.  You don't have to run around and look for storefronts, that's why I'm here to do that for you."  When she gave him a look like 'do you realize what you just said'  he had to laugh.  "Oh yes, Mis Impatient."

"I'm sorry I'm sorry!  I've just always wanted to own an Art gallery.  I mean there is no better place in my mind that I would love to open one, other then in say Paris.  Besides that, I decided I'm going to stay here.  It is where I grew up and I guess coming full circle I just don't want to leave again."  She spoke about it as if she was talking more about the Island, rather then the fact she had found Marcus here and did not want to leave his side again.  Although she had a lot of making up to do with a lot of people.  Pancake and sausage where speared and set into her mouth again watching as James did the same.

He chewed and wiped at his overly large kissable lips and smiled faintly.  "So you found the one huh?"  In the years that James had known Loke he could read her like an open book.

"Shut up and eat your breakfast, punk."  She glowered at her plate even as he started to laugh knowing he had found the real reason she was staying.

Monitor stared back at her with her bank statement.  Hot damn that was sexy as fuck!  A little over 2.7 million dollars was sitting in her off shore savings account.  Later that day was the signing for her new store front property, and then not long after that a trip to the airport to drop off James.  Glancing up she rolled her head over toward James who was dropping things in his suitcase after folding them neatly and primly.  "Did you remember to get Nadine some trinkets?"

James Harris the III was not dressed in a suit today, it was instead a black pair of slacks cleanly pressed and a navy blue polo shirt.  One could do business and still keep it casual. "I have already packed them." He didn't look up from his chore of packing even as Loke spoke to him.

"You know James, next time, bring your wife.  I'll pay for the expenses.  I'd love to see her again."  Loke's chin came to rest on the back of the couch since she was sorta laying across the couch in James' hotel room.

James gave a laugh and looked up shaking his head.  "Nadine would not want to come back if she came here.  She already hates Boston because of the cold winters, she would demand I stay here and start in a new firm."

Loke grinned wide, Nadine was a spitfire.  She had been James high school sweetheart that had kept him out of trouble and kept him on the right path.  A woman who while ellegant as a Attorney's wife, she was a street savy as the next ghetto bumpkin.  Loke turned back to her laptop before powering it down and setting it aside.  She had actually dressed semi nice today.  A sundress of gold and a black sash tied under the breasts.  The gold of the sundress made those amber eyes nearly glow, hair was twisted into a french braid although a few stray strands had found there escape from confinement.

"We should go, are you ready James?"

James dropped his last pair of shoes into the bag before looking around the room before zipping it up and nodding.  "Lets get my bags down to the car and then we can head over to the attorney's office."

Loke was barily able to stand still, she was more excited about this then anything at the moment.  Snagging all of his bags since he had to get another to cart back home some gifts and things Loke wanted taken back to give out to the rest of the partners in the firm.  "Move'm out little dawgie!"

Not two hours later, Loke would be the proud owner of the soon to be Art Gallery.  Her name fresh on the deed and the check handed over. Paying up front so she owned that plot of land and property.  Keys where handed over along with a pile of papers, water, gas, etc etc.  Paperwork she would have to go through and get it figured out.  Although most of the paperwork would go to James to go back to the firm in Boston.
