The Cry of the Munin: Calling the Pack to meet.
Permalink Closed

Every thing was spinning in a downward spiral still even after the return of the packs Lupa. Everyone was so distant, keeping to themselves hurt and made to feel that they did not matter. Even the munin cried out endlessly and it as slowly becoming more then Kota could bare. No mater how tightly she pulled in on herself they broke though to whisper and scream in her ears. What was she to do, no one ever explained any of this to her, when did they ever explain things. There had never been a teacher for her, not when the first sign of her gifts started to manifest, and not now when new frightening power gripped her. She felt more like the tool being wield by someone else and doing things that she never would have done.

Closing herself off to everyone has only been there first, She spoke to only Memphis really, went to work, came home and felt to their room. Or she spent hours in the grave yards lost in thought trying to sort out what voices in her head kept repeating. The other had been her reaction to seeing Evie, how she wanted to beat that woman. Why had she not had better control of herself? Still so much anger for the Telemetric and Silent. For so many reasons. Even though she had heard everything Silent had, had to say about her reasons for everything. There was just letting go of the rage that had planted its seed in the depths of her heart. Not with how they had returned, to just be accepted and forgiven, just like that.

Her mind would just not stop, walking though the front door of the pack house skipping checking the mail that sat on the side table. Blindly she walked though the house, out the back door in to the yard. Not even so much as a hello for anyone, trapped in the dark to where her feet were taking her. Was not till she stood in the center of the Lupanar did her mind snap out of its daze and violet eyes could see everything cleanly. It was a surreal moment, as if she stood out side this world on the threshold to the next peering in to the umbra itself.

The voices that shared her head did not slam against her senses in a disheveled echo of tangled words. The jigsaw puzzle was for once put together in a crystal image behind the vale of the mind. Was not only he pack that was being torn, since Lilith had come and brought with her a great upheaval, Trusts and faint in each other had been broke. The unity of the pack fractured, Their Ulfric's heart mangled and the very essence of who he was injured. Even the munin now cried out in agony pleading to be heard and so few were listening.

She was Vargamor, Kota never understood what they meant till now. She had felt so useless to the pack, unable to protect them. Watching Coyote and Mahina hurt, killed as they had been right in front of her had broken her heart and torn a piece of her away. Was not her place to be their protector, that privilege belonged to their Ulfric, the Lupa, the Alphas of the pack. Her duty and responsibility had been and till was something vastly important and over looked for so long. Elsa's vice rang though like a bell. Soft and sweet. It so did not match the pink haired treasure troll she had been in life. The others came to, Her own that were always in her head and others. Each carried a bit of history and with each story they told came a light at the end of this very dark tunnel they were all lost in.

There was only one thing she could do. Call to the pack, gather them together here, in the Lupanar, stand before her Ulfric and try and help them repair the damage that had been done. She would not accept failing at this, they were her family and her Lover, with out them she had no reason to stay here in Hawaii. Sitting down in the middle of the Lupanar cell phone in hand. Nothing mystical about this device save it had the power to reach everyone in the pack. Call after Call after call went out. Leaving voice mails, messages on machines, or speaking to each of them. The Vargamor was calling a meeting of the whole pack, calling them home.

There wouldn't of been a way to get in contact with Anna except to go right up to her. No one, no pager... well, except email... but that was left inside the house today. Things have been slow...really really flippin slow here in hawaii. Was it always like this? Just the other day she ran into another skater. Interesting guy Reggie is. But a lion. Anna had been out of the house all day... to much silence drove her insane. Like the voices in her head. It wasn't so bad when she wasn't around people...

Along the ride on her skate board, hand held onto the board as she came down from a jump. Feet caught the board before the ground caught her. It was getting dark... who knows what would be out at dark. Well besides the vampires and late night snakes... but like real mosters. Maybe homework would calm her frustration. Had she missed the appointment, or was it just not scheduled? She didn't have a single... no a single one.

The sound of the rubber wheels running over the cement side walk made things seem a little more at ease. She kicked at the ground to keep her speed up, not wanting to fall behind while she had the energy. The house wasn't that far away, beast barked and jumped and ran just right beside Anna. Oh the joy of the run. Wind in the fur, ears up, tail flapping... well it wasn't wagging so it was flapping! Home, home on the... the uh, street? Anna smirked at the way her mind wandered sometimes.

She jumped from the board and in mid run, leaned down to pick it up, darting for the door. The door was closed... she skid to a quick stop and reached for the door handle, turn and pushed it open. "Hello?!" Oh yeah, no... honey i'm home crap. The voice was from the depths of her troat. Big friggin HELLO! She leaned the board against the wall and slipped into the kitchen. Water. Water. Glass was gathered and it was filled with water. It was quiet... Well, was.

Anna turned to look out the slidding door and there was the cause of the whispers. Well from here they seemed like whispers, out side anna went!

From Angel's first true arrival into the pack he mostly spent his time at the police station working his Ass off but no one there seemed to notice. All the late nights of coming home to the pack house to total quiet were not helping, it sure wasn't the same as it was in Cali.

It didn't matter what time there was such happiness but here there was emptiness. Angel did not know the reasons why everyone was so upset at the Lupa but he wasn't about to open up wounds from anyone so he would never ask anyone especially Mahina,

what was the problem? he saw the reaction to Silent at the mall the first time they met she was so hurt that he wouldn't couldn't do that to her. Not to his La', the sun that brightened his days here on the island.

Arriving at the house he saw there was noise coming from the kitchen there ha saw Anna Marie, though he had met her once she seemed like a spunky girl, a little to herself but with time he hoped to see that spunk.

+Hello there I hope I didn't startle you+

Her reaction was a jump but with a quick recovery. There were a few words between the two when the attention was turned to someone moving outside

+Looks like its Dakota+

Moving to the sliding door they both stepped out to see if it was her.

Mahina did her best to divide herself between her personal life and the packhouse. Continuiously helping Mamma out with the preparation of food, shopping, laundry to take some of the load off the woman who has shown her kindness from the first moment she set foot in the house with severe burns and half unconscious. Mahina enjoyed listening to her accent and when she carrys on. So today was one of those days that she was running errands in today for her. Her last errand was almost finished when the call from Kota was done. This urged Mahina to get home a bit faster seeing as how Kota spoke of need to getting the pack together.

Coming back home, she had the taxi drop her off a half a mile down the road and walked to the packhouse. Carrying the various bags with her it wasnt long that she used her key and entered the house. The recent looming scents of Anna Marie and Angel brought on a smile to her lips, Mamma met her at the door going on and on how Mahina was too thin and needed to eat and more importantly that Kota was waiting out back.

Mahina let her go on, course she knew she had to eat but with all that was going on with her life, it was the one thing she just forgets. Coming to the back patio door arms encircled around her two most favorite wolves......Anna Marie and Angel. Each given a delicate cheek caressing, Mahina didn't have to do it first but she wanted to. It was then she realized how long she hadn't seen the two of them. Angel and his kindness and Anna with her spunkiness. So with her arms around them she walked with them to where Kota was and get the meeting on it's way and in hopes more would arrive.
