The room was blissfully quiet. The only sounds breaking the utter stillness, the distant hum of the engine and the water as it flowed around her. Reclining in the two person tub, Brigit closed her eyes, leaning her head back on the soft head rest made of some malleable Styrofoam. Ingenious. Such a small thing yet so brilliant in its design. Sighing in contentment, she sunk deeper beneath the hot water. The only window of the bathroom, a port hole, was covered by light blocking curtains. Leaving the room pitch black. Only the golden glow of her skin keeping the shadows at bay. Brigit would have preferred her own disastrously large tub carved of marble for a bath, but the man made thing of porcelain and fiberglass, was conveniently, there.

Having decided that traveling to Hawaii by airplane was out of the picture, Brigit was left with less than limited choices of travel. Swim, or take a boat. Unwilling to pile onto a cruise liner like tourist, she went with the option to charter a boat. A yacht to be precise, although she would have called it a small floating mansion with a motor. The "yacht" was a behemoth. A fact hammered home by a full sized grand piano in the "dining room" and a small helicopter pad on the aft deck. The four life boats and a staff of ten people were easily overlooked with a helicopter onboard. Even if it only seated two people and had a useful load of 610 lbs with cruise speed of 85 knots. Only 85 knots, it hardly seemed worth the bother.

Opening her eyes, Brigit was greeted by a dance of light and shadow, The water breaking over the glow of her skin and reflecting the distorted light onto marble walls. The stone wasn't nearly as magnificent as the kind she had come accustomed to. There were no veins of gold or a delicate play of colors that always shifted just beneath the surface, shining with a light of its own. This stone was almost dead when compared to the decor of the Seelie Court. Still, the humans tried to harvest the natural beauty of the stone. The walls were tan and pink and a color that couldn't quite decide between sand and cream. Tiny imperfections of Formica in the mix glittered with glaring obviousness as the light brushed over them. Pretty, far from spectacular. So far the entire trip had been far from spectacular. Upon her decision to leave the Sithen, Brigit was on edge with anticipation. To venture outside of the Court, to see the world. At first everyone thought it was a flight of fancy born within the mind of a bored woman. But when she took steps to making her fantasy into reality, whispers of maddness began. And maybe she was, but it was a fact Brigit wasn't about to share with anyone. Not even those she considered her closest friends. At court, a friend was a tentative thing at best. Some would even say friends were enemies you haven't angered yet. But that was a decidedly Unseelie way of thinking.

No, Brigit had her own reasons for leaving the comfort and safety of the Sithen for the outside world. The world of humans. And what a small world it was, a fact she was keenly aware of as she watched the light dance over the walls of the small bathroom. Even though it was equal in size to most people's bedrooms, to her it was tiny. The accommodations in Honolulu promised to be spacious. The real estate agent assured her the house was exactly what Brigit wanted. All she could do was take the woman at her word. A light knock on the door shattered the illusion of peace as Brigit sat up, water cascading off her skin in loud protest "Yes? What is it!" A little peace and quiet in a box made of metal, was it so much to ask for?

"Ahm, Miss Hayes, sorry to bother you, the captain said we should make dock in an hour." The man's voice shook. Whether he was nervous or scared or both, it made her wince none the less. She did not mean to snap at him. Schooling her voice back into calm smoothness, she smiled, the gesture adding a pitch of something happy to her voice. "Ah, I see. Sorry about the shout. Thank you for letting me know." It was a dismissal, and she hoped the poor man would take it as such. He did, a moment later she heard the sound of receding footsteps, and sighed. So much her bath. Leaning back in slightly cooler water, Brigit closed her eyes. Inhaling deeply she felt the power soak back into her skin. The flicker of light faded slowly as her glamor snapped back into place. Pale blonde hair became darker, broken up by stray yet artfully applied highlights. Golden skin became simply tan and the glow was shut away behind an aura of human. Opening her eyes, Brigit was greeted by a dark room. Perfect.

Rising up out of the tub, she waited for the water to flow back down before she climbed out of the tub. No need to make an unnecessary mess. Reaching out, she flicked the light switched and winced as the harsh white light flooded the space. Human eyes stared back at from the floor to ceiling mirror wall. Pretty eyes, aqua with blue tones, but there wasn't even a hint of the tell tail signs of the tri-colored eyes of the Seelie Sidhe. Brigit smiled, and Bree Hayes smiled back at her from the mirror. Perfect. Now it was simply a matter of getting dressed and waiting. And what was time to an immortal?
