What ever had gotten in to Jack pissed her off... The snake had been roughing up the little fox when she had gotten to the Lava Lounge.. Not smacking him around but the sheer power he was spilling in to Julian the pour fox could not breath. Maybe it was not much of anything... But Ace got Mayra and the fox out of their as fast as she could and back to the surf shop. Colin was checked on... just because... well she did not trust things right now. Everything was going nuts all over the city right now! A murder on the back, Attack at Bliss and one at Midnight Hookah... She needed to know what Adam wanted them all to do. After Julian was set down in a chair in the living room with Mayra to look after him... Ace walked in to the kitchen... digging her cell out of her back pocket.
Speed dial, ringing up Adam while still trying to go over every thing she had to say to him. Maybe she was over reacting to the whole mess... But even Jack was stronger... and after that little bitch Harley had come by the shop. Well she so wanted Adam right now, she had never craved his presence and attention as much as she did right now. Not paying attention at first... the message beeped and it was a rush to try and remember what all she was going to say and try not to sound on edge.
" Shit.. Sorry. Adam. Its Ace. Some snake came in to the shop the other day. Colin went near ghost white seeing her. Was one of the people who attacked him. She left when I came down stairs but... Tonight had a run in with Jack, He owns the Coffee shop across from my place. Will you please call me back when you get a chance... "
Not enough space to tell him the whole story in one Voice mail. But she did not want to add to the end of her message that she was frightened. Jack had been a friend and now he was just being an ass whole.
