-Lyric had been away from the pack since the night of the full moon. Displeasing Ash had left a hole in her heart. The slap didn't hurt now. Though, it still burned, and it was a reminder of how easy things could change with a thought. She didn't think she did wrong, in challenging Elena, Ash thought otherwise. Lyric wouldn't back down from what she had done, but she needed to make amends with her Ulfric. Why had she challenged in the first place? Lyric had her reasons. If Ash wanted to know them, he'd have to ask her. The rest of the pack didn't need to know.
Sneaking into a full house was hard. Lyric did it sometime at lunch, when most of the house was empty. Sneaking into Ash's room wasn't hard after that. The present was left on a bedside table, with a green ribbon around the base, which was moist and would be for a few days. The letter was in a sealed envelope, placed against the plastic pot the present was held in.
The letter:
Ash,
You are my Ulfric, and I sworn that I will follow you where ever you may go. What I did displeased you, and I beg forgiveness for that. My reasons for it are yours alone to know, if you wish to know.
You have saved me from my old pack, you have given me a home, and a pack that I call family. My love for you is endless. I am loyal to you. Whatever you wish of me, I am your wolf to call. I only beg forgiveness for my actions. I apologize for displeasing you.
Lyric
Her scent would linger in the room, a faint aroma of pine needles and cedar. Lyric was heading back to the courthouse. Her steps rushed to get out of the house as she heard someone fumbling down the stairs.-
