The sun had yet to rise over Salem, the land of the pack house was still blanketted in the soft twilight that comes just before dawn. For him it was not such an unusual thing to be up at such an hour, but Silent looked at though any wrong word spoken would make her throw a carry on bag at your face. Memphis was helping Ash load luggage into the trunk of his Taxi, bag after bag as though they would be gone awhile, though actually one of the full size suitcases was empty, to be used and filled with gifts for their return. With a huge yawn Memphis got in the front seat of the cab while he and Silent slid into the back. As they made the drive towards the private air field in Boston Ash gave Memphis instructions.

"You and Cypress are in charge while we're gone so try not to spend all your time with Dakota. I want someone looking out for Lyric so get her to come to the Pack House or you can go to the Reilleys. There's money on the kitchen counter and the delivery bills are paid through my personal checking. The same rules apply when I'm here as when I'm away. And if anything happens, even if you're not sure it's an emergency call Milo."

The Rat King owed Ash a favor, and he had called it in. So the Rodere would be the wolves temporary alllies while Ash was gone, making sure they were safe and unmolested from some of the creepier crawlies in Salem.

"We'll only be gone a week and a half. When we get to Alexandria we'll be at the Solfit Cecil Hotel for two days. I left the numbers on the fridge. Then we'll be on the barge cruise for five days and you won't be able to reach us. So don't forget to call Milo..."

Silent was shushing him as he kept rambling. It wasn't that he didn't think Memphis and Cypress were capable of taking care of the wolves, it was just that he loved them so much and the idea of anything happening to one of them terrified him. He was almost beginning to wish that he had bought tickets for all of them to come along. Then that wouldn't have been much of a vacation but at least his stomach wouldn't be doing flip-flops. With a sigh he continued.

"I'm sorry Memphis I know you and Cypress know all this already but I just want to make sure. We'll call you the instant we reach the hotel in Karnak to check in."

When they reached the airport a porter came to check their bags and Ash stood by and waited, slipping the man a tip when it was finished, then those lightning kissed eyes looked at Harry and misted up a bit. Tattooed arms were thrown around the larger man and he whispered in his ear.

"Take care of them for me."

A bundle of letters was handed to Harry, letters saying goodbyes and see you soons to each member of the pack, as well as a list of emergency numbers because yes, he was turning into a crazy paranoid den mother. Then there was nothing left to do but wave goodbye and head onto the airfield where their private jet waited to whisk them away to a land on the other side of the world.
