The fire that licked at her back seemed to be antagonizing painful and very deliberate.  She whimpered, unable to help the pitiful sound creeping out of her lips as she tried in a desperate motion to squirm away from the heat.  Although her squirming was beyond futile, she was after all tied up good and tight.  Each breath hurt, hurt like razors up and down her throat and into her lungs.  It was as if someone was choking the life out of her and she was only able to inhale a few quick breaths.  Sweat prickled along her naked limbs, drenching her in the stink of fear and natural smell.  While the usual smell of Ocean water and fresh jungle vegetation was comforting now it was not, not with the lingering smell of fear that dampened everything.

“Please, please stop.”  Dry lips whispered as she struggled to break free again, those protests seemingly weak against the straps of metal that curled around her limbs in a secure grip.

His laughter was her only answer, West laughter, which only brought the prickle of heat to her eyes as the first hot tear crept out from behind closed blindfolded eyes to curl down her cheek.   A scream was ripped from her lips as the heat in her back seemed to manifest into a sudden flash burn up her spine.  She didn’t smell herself cooking but she could feel it. 

She was sound asleep and barely seemed aware of the fact the nightmare had her deep in its grasp.  Her face was smashed into the pillow as she struggled against the fabric to pull in a lung full of air.  Her body was cold, cold for a lycan and covered in a slick sheen of sweat.   With the press of West against her backside her body jerked and the scream that ripped from her was violent and full of fear.  So much for getting over those pesky nightmares, it seemed with the touch of Kalika they had resurfaced with a vengeance.
