Sorry sorry sorry. (Open to Ariadne)

Set had spent roughly the last hour and a half pacing in the areas around Ariadne's trailer. He wasn't being overt about it, hadn't been picking a spot and literally walking back and forth so as to draw attention. It was more in the vein of wandering in that direction, thinking better of it, and wandering away. And then wandering back from another angle, pausing, and moving on as though he really had a different destination in mind. No one had asked him what he was up to yet, which he was attributing to some kind of excellent deception skills on his part, but was more likely because the ones who'd seen him were simply raising an eyebrow and letting him go on his bizarre way.

He'd let things sit too long, in his own mind at least. Set Adair? Was a dweller. Most things he could brush off, not assign any importance to it and go on with his day. But when something truly impacted him, it could worm its way into staying in that uncomfortable and unavoidable part in the back of one's mind that never quite stopped bothering. While his own interactions in the goings-on had been rather minimal, and while he knew logically that the reactions of people like Trinity and Hannibal were the actual important factor to the conversation, he still found it weighing on him. What had started as anger and confusion and hurt that was most definitely directed outwards, had faded somewhat and then morphed into guilt. A deeper, less-understood guilt that he had somehow failed her was at the root of it. Not that there was anything he could have done to prevent this; it was hardly his place to try and manage Ariadne of all people, and it wasn't exactly a situation that could be foreseen. But, still. She was his leader, and she was his friend, and she was a good person who didn't deserve this. And he hadn't been there to try and stop it.

Blanketing that though, was the guilt that he was actually processing and understanding. He'd yelled at her, walked out on her, had made it clear how angry she'd made him. He shouldn't have. Terrible as he found the news, surely she was hurting even more. And he'd thrown her to the proverbial wolves. A line of thinking that was a bit dramatic, yes, but it was there all the same, and the more he thought on it the more convinced he became that he was the offending party here, and needed to make things right. While Set could care less what most people thought of him, there were a few special people that he very much didn't want disliking him. Not for political reasons of any kind (although making the Crone angry probably wasn't the smartest thing to do), just for personal ones. He liked her, and cared what she thought -- and what she thought of him. So, clearly, the only thing to do was to go and apologize.

Which he'd been trying to do for the last hour and a half. The aforementioned flair of drama in his mind had him half-convinced that she would throw something at him immediately and yell at him that he was a horrible person, despite the fact that he knew she wasn't the type of person to do that at all. She had probably put the entire incident completely out of her mind, but Set needed it out of his. So he finally steeled his courage, went to her door, and knocked, nervous energy practically tangible as he bounced lightly on the balls of his feet to try and rid himself of it.

...If she didn't answer then he would bolt -- couldn't say he didn't try!

Lifting her head every now and then, Rad saw the top of Set's head passing by the windows. A brow would rise slowly and soon he would be gone. Her head lowered again looking through some books to figure out how to break out of this three way combo that Azrael had done on Jane and herself. So far nothing was showing up in the old tomes. Ariadne was getting frustrated. There was almost a mild annoyance that something was happening that she wasn't allowed to know about. It had nothing to do with the Tribe and everything to do with Azrael.

Reaching across from her to grab her coffee. Hazelnut with a splash of chocolate, four sugars and cream. Yummy. White opal eyes rising to look at the window seeing Set's head again walking by. A brow rose again seeing as he left. Setting the book down on the coffee table, Rad stood, coffee in hand heading towards the window. She hid from Set's view. Watching him silently. A smile curving her lips. She was guessing he was feeling bad about yelling at her. Eyes lowered thinking about that night. Jaw clenched in self anger. How had she allowed herself to get so blind sighted by a handsome face that she forgot all about her duties?

It was unforgivable of herself. Hannibal and Trinity were right so had been Set. Zoning out within her own thoughts. The coffee was cooling in her fingertips. Then came the sudden knock on her door. Shaking out of her thoughts she walked over. It wasn't a real surprise to see Set's face on the other side. A smile turned her lips. She stepped aside for him to walk into the room.

"Come in Set." She said welcoming him into her trailer. Though honestly, she didn't know why anyone bothered to knock. Rad always had the door open when she was home. "Coffee?" She asked walking towards the kitchen. She couldn't have sweets, but coffee was one thing they couldn't take away from her. Coffee was Ariadne's version of Hannibal's red bull.

Oh hey, she was here. That was good. ...Right?

Despite having been waiting right at her door, Set still managed to look surprised when Ariadne opened it and greeted him. His eyebrows shot up, blue eyes widening momentarily. Oh crap! But hey, she invited him in, fancy that, Set. Coffee sounded good. Sort of? Set tended to like the idea of coffee more than the actuality of it. And of course he loved Red Bull -- Hannibal loved Red Bull, and so clearly it was the best drink around. Whether or not Set should be permitted anything with caffeine in it was an entirely separate matter. "Umm...sure."

He stepped into the trailer, looking around it slowly, eyes falling on the locations from the last time he was in here. He liked her trailer. Something about it just felt safe to him, probably due to the fact that she was the Crone. He never thought about it in depth though, and it feeling like a good place to be was as much as he needed to know.

He went after her to get the offered coffee, although immediately after that he was reaching for everything that could possibly be put into it. Set was the kind of person who, when drinking these sorts of things, liked his cream and sugar with some coffee, rather than the other way around. "So...hey." He wasn't entirely sure what to say here, and while he was feeling the strong urge to just avoid avoid avoid, the impulse to simply blurt whatever was on his mind was even greater. Which was most likely why he lacked much in the way of grace and tact when it came to word choice. Still, it seemed to get the job done? More or less?

At any rate, the pressure was too much for him to sidestep for long (read: more than two minutes), and so in the midst of the coffee-creation, he heaved a sigh and looked at her, dark eyes apologetic and worried. "I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you. That was way out of line, I didn't mean to. I mean, I did. But then, you know, when my brain turned on? It was like...whoa. And I'm sorry. It's not your fault he did that to you." The vampire. ..Whatever it was that he'd done, exactly. "And...I'm sorry. I'm sorry." He could keep repeating that, if she needed to hear it more? His eyes may have been black and, truly, rather creepy to outsiders, but at moments like these they had a way of taking on an almost childlike quality. Open and honest and full of remorse, wanting to be forgiven and loved again, he had the whole puppy dog thing down pat, rather unintentionally at the moment.

Hip rested on the corner of her counter. The small counter that it was. She sipped silently the cooling coffee from her mug. It had little devil looking ducks on it. She had a thing for birds. Maybe it was because she turned into a snow white owl. Maybe. Lashes hovered over her cheeks when Set stood there quiet as a mouse. The intake of his breath pulled her own white opal hues up to him. His were the same as Han's a deep dark black that seemed nearly bottomless. Setting the mug down in the sink.

"Its okay, you had every right." She said calmly. Taking in a deep breath into her lungs. One hand extended to rub at his arm. "Really Set, its alright." Fingers curled an inch above his elbow. "Sometimes I need to be yelled at. Makes me remember what I'm doing and why I'm doing it. You, Trin and Han were right. I'm trying to get out of this.... curse." She said, not knowing the proper word for what was happening.

Which was something she needed to see the vampire about. What this was, how to undo it, and just knowledge of it all. Dropping her hand from Set's arm. She turned to rummage through her fridge. There was a red bull in there some place. Hannibal stocked her fridge with them for whenever he was over. "I know I have a Red Bull in here...." Her voice trailed off when she found the stash at the back of the small icebox. Pulling one free from the box, she closed the fridge door and handed it to Set. Which in turn she stole his coffee and added more sugar to it.

"I am glad you understand its not my fault that it happened. But it is my fault that I haven't ended it yet." She said lastly. It was a tough battle with oneself on this matter. On the one hand she felt stronger and faster. On the other she knew this would be the end of her and her people.

That troubled look in his eyes stayed even when she said it was okay, until she touched his arm. The comforting gesture eased him, and it showed. A smile tentatively appeared at the corners of his mouth as he watched her. It was sort of weird -- she was older than him but not by an insane amount, and she was definitely smaller than him. But things like that worked as well as a kiss on the head and a hug from his own mother. ...You know, if he'd known his mother and if she were into that kind of thing? It was the spirit of the thought that mattered though.

She may have been correct about him having every right to be angry and yell at her at the time, but he still didn't think it was really his place to. Trinity and Hannibal were just...different. Trinity because she was the second in command, and Hannibal because he was, well, Hannibal, and that was how things worked in Set's universe. He himself was much more comfortable with remaining far lower in the ranks. Maybe that was a little weird, but every army needed its footsoldiers. His was not to question why, his was but to do and die. He liked that role, and didn't care if it was weird to.

Oh hey, Red Bull! It was a good thing that Ariadne took the coffee that Set had been planning to work on, else he would have mixed the two together, and God only knew what would happen then. He held the can and blinked when she said it was her fault that she hadn't gotten out of that connection yet. "It..is?" He'd thought she didn't know how to get away from the vampire -- maybe she'd just found out? Or maybe it was dangerous to her to try. Given that Azrael was an evil monster leech, he had no doubt that the guy would try to slaughter them all if they took Ariadne back, but that was just how Set figured all vampires were in general. "Wait, did you figure out how to get out of it?" He perked up. "That's great!" Set sort of had selective hearing at times (or all the time, whichever). He could sidestep that she wasn't getting out of the connection if he thought that she maybe knew how to.
