After his talk with Evie about the tarot reading that she had gotten from Winter he began to formulate a plan of his own. Not that Ash put much credit into things like tarot cards, but suffice it to say that he and Evie had seen enough weird and unbelieveable shit that he wasn't going to let things slide without being careful. So when he returned to the pack house that night he climbed the stairs two at a time and headed towards Murphy's room. Giving a knock to the door he heard the girl playing her guitar and when the music stopped she gave her okay for him to enter. Not that he specifically needed it, but he tried to be polite with the members of his pack. Opening the door a crack he leaned against the door jamb.
"Murph. I need a favor."
In his hand he already had a slip of paper with Evie's name and address written on it. Moving to where Murphy was sitting he handed her the piece of paper and waited for her to get a good look at it before continuing.
"She's a good friend, an old friend of the pack, and she needs to stay here.....indefinetly. I want you to run by there in the morning and help her get her things moved in."
Murphy was one of the only pack members whose work schedule allowed for such a sporadic change of plans, so he knew she'd be able to do it. The woman was no guardian so that would have to be a seperate issure, but she could at least help get Evie moved in and safe. After answering any questions Murphy had he gave a pat to her shoulder that was personal but not invasive and then left the room, shutting the door behind him to give her more privacy for her playing.
Next Ash began to think about the more dire need to keep Evie safe in the long term. Who in the pack could he ask? Who would be capable? and who could he trust implicitly? Three names came to mind and so he just shouted the names as he went back downstairs so they could join him in the living room.
"Loke, Anya, Memphis. Meeting in the living room."
He could hear movement as from seperate parts of the house the wolves he had called answered his call. His power reaching out to them just as his voice did. Other wolves might have heard the call and curious faces poked around doorways, but for the moment he was concentrating on the matter at hand. Heading into the living room he waited for the three of them to join him before he took a seat in one of the arm chairs facing the others and began to explain.
"Anya, I know you don't know who Evie is, but you catch on quick." Memphis and Loke knew Evie so he just headed straight into the matter. "Evie's concerned about some things she heard.....a prophecy of sorts." It just seemed way too weird to explain that all this was about tarot cards. "So she's going to be moving into the pack house for awhile to stay safe. It might not be anything, but it might be something big. I won't order any pack members to risk themselves for someone who isn't lukoi, but if any of you would volunteer to be on guard duty for awhile I'd appreciate it."
With guards like these Evie would be safe as a kitten, and maybe Winters tarot reading would come to nothing. Or so Ash hoped. If the worst happened, well he didn't want to think about Evie pregnant with the antichrist.

Head lifted from the freezer as she turned to glance over her shoulder at the call to her name. In a vague OCD kinda way, Loke liked to keep the freezer and stand along freezer well maintained and in order. Each type of meat, since most of it was meat was sectioned off so people couldn't get confused by the massive amounts of food. She was just... straightening the areas up in the freezer but shut the door. She gave Anya and Memphis big smiles just because.
Head tilted as she listened to the Ulfric, so that's why Evie wanted to move. She had spoken to her but she had never said the cause. Well that was good because Loke really didn't want to have to beg Ash to let Evie stay. Perching herself on the back of the couch.
"You don't even have to ask me. She's one of the most important people in my life. I wouldn't mind it at all."
-=*Fingers strummed the chords of her guitar and she recreated an old Simon and Garfunkle tune that she remembered from childhood. It had been one of her mothers favorites. And as she played her callouses ached, but that only made it more worthwhile. Low and intently she hummed along with the tune. Smoky and sultry her voice caressed the tune and her eyes drifted closed. Murphy liked to lose herself in the music with her long dark hair falling in waves across her face as she leaned forward over her old accoustic guitar.*=-
-=*When the knock came at her door she chuckled from where she sat cross legged on the bed. Telling Ash to come in seemed silly but she did it anyway. Appreciating that he was being polite. Some people weren't. The fact that he called her Murph won him some extra brownie points.*=-
"Anything you need Ulfric."
-=*Long artists fingers hooked on the strap of her guitar and pulled it over her head so she could shift the instrument off her lap and set it aside on the firm mattress. Once that was out of the day she rose up on her knees a bit to lean forward so she could take the piece of paper that he offered her. Brown eyes glanced over the information and she nodded once before tucking the piece of paper beneath the thick leather band she wore on her right wrist. That would be a safe spot for it.
"First thing in the morning I'll head out. Maybe take Lexie with me if you don't mind."
-=*Murphy didn't ask why he needed her to do it or who this Eve was. Just took the favor he wanted at face value and would see it was taken care of. The hand to her shoulder was nice and respectful and made her wide mouth spread in a soft smile. Sure, she didn't particularly care for men in the touchy sort of way, but what wolf didn't like contact with it's Ulfric? Once he was gone she pulled her guitar back on and began her playing again.*=-
-=* *=- -=* *=- -=* *=-
-=* The next morning she woke with the sun without an alarm. Just an internal mechanism that went off inside her. Climbing out of bed she was wearing the same soft grey tank top from the night before and a pair of boy short underwear. Bending down she grabbed the first pair of jeans she could reach and pulled them on over the tight shorts. Adjusting the belt she grabbed a green bandanna from her bedside table and began tying it around her head to hold all that long dark hair back as she left her room. *=-
-=* Downstairs she slipped into the Ulfric's room and waited for her eyes to fully adjust in the dark. Once she could see clearly she made out the shape of the fox Lexie and reached to give her arm a gentle shake. Making hand motions for Lexie to come out to the kitchen she gave the woman time to get clothes on and come meet her. While she waited in the kitchen she went about making morning coffee. Once it was brewed she filled three travel mugs. One of them was handed over to Lexie when she joined her.*=-
"A friend of the Ulfric's needs help moving." -=* Murphys grin was way too big and cheerful for so early in the morning. *=- "I volunteered you."
-=*Truth be told Murph just liked the hell out of the fox, which was why she'd thought of her first. On the way out she carried the two extra travel mugs (One for her and one for Evie) and grabbed the keys to one of the pack mates trucks on the way out the door. Community property in the pack house and they would need the bed of the truck for all of Eve's things. In her head she referred to her as Eve cause she hadn't been able to read the Ulfrics handwriting very well.*=-
"So you know anything about this Eve girl Lexie?"
-=*Murphy made small talk with the fox as they drove towards the address she'd been giving. Just girl talk. Kind of quiet and easy this early in the morning as they both drank their coffee. When they got to the address Murphy bounded from the car and up to the door and gave a few quick knocks.*=-
-Silat was a practice she had been trained in. A style of martial arts that was very fluid and almost made for a dancer. As she and Toshi practiced out back a soft smile played on her lips. The physical activity felt good to her body that still felt far too lazy in this new enviornment. They had left the back door open to let fresh air in the house, and so she was able to hear the Ulfric call her name. Rising up from her crane stance she gave a bow to her partner Toshi and excused herself from their practice for a moment.-
-Jogging back towards the house she stepped through the back door and into the living room with her blonde hair windswept and untidy in its loose braid. Her tank top and sweat shorts slightly sweaty, but that couldn't be helped. The smile Loke gave her was returned as she sat beside her on the sofa. Not knowing Memphis she still let that peaceful smile of hers spill towards him as well and then the attention of her orange and violet eyes was on the Ulfric as he explained things to them.-
"Lukoi or not Ulfric. If someone dear to the pack needs helping then I will be happy to assist."
-Not to mention that she would be only too happy to have something to do in this place. So she would prepare to take some shifts at guarding this Evie, whenever she finally got to meet her. Perhaps the girl would like to go out on a dig with her in the ruins. There was no safer place. Not in Anya's mind anyway.-
-:Beneath the hood of the taxi he was trying to coax the thing back to life. Burly forearms were smeared with motor oil as he used a red rag to wipe down his torque wrench. As he worked he hummed to himself, an old Jimmy Buffett tune that had bothered him forever. At last he could hear it without apocolyptic visions of the island plaguing him. When Ash called his name Memphis popped up fast and slammed the back of his head against the hood. Yowch!:-
-:Tossing the wrench and the rag in the tool chest he made an angry face as he rubbed his greasy hand against the back of his thick skull. Reaching up he tugged at the hood of the car and let it close with a final bang before heading into the house at the Ulfric's call. From his back pocket he pulled a clean rag and started rubbing off the oil, but there was only so much he could do for noe.:-
-:In the living room he returned Anya and Loke's smile with a grizzled one of his own. But he didn't join them on the couch since he was dirty and that might make the bossman have a coronary. Instead he just leaned a bit against one wall and listened carefully. Nodding his own confirmation of what Anya and Loke were saying.:-
"Evie's family boss. That means more than who has fur and who don't. You bring her on in here and we'll take turns watching her. No problem."
Sitting up with a jolt, grey eyes unfocused and blinking rapidly, there was a moment when Evie fancied herself somewhere else. London, maybe. Or Salem. In the first few moments of consciousness, she had no clue why someone would be calling from the door of her humble abode about moving her shit somewhere.
Of course, that all passed once her sleepy brain kick-started into sleepy-but-aware brain. "Ohshit!" She'd slept in. Completely. Throwing her sheets off, bare feet scrambling to the floor, the tiny telemetric started running. Grabbing things and throwing them into the few open boxes she had left. "Uh -- uh! One sec!" She wasn't even dressed. Frozen by indecision concerning letting people into her house while only dressed in a giant t-shirt, or letting them stand outside in the hot Italian sun, Evie threw her gloved hands up in a gesture to the gods, begging them to intervene. Of course, that was entirely over-dramatic, but she'd only just woken up.
Deciding on a compromise and grabbing a pair of wrinkled jeans from her floor, Evie put one leg in at the top of the stairs, and the other leg once she reached the bottom. Throwing the door open with a sleepy, lopsided smile, nearly-black hair a total mess, she made a half-assed ushering motion to the house. "I, sorry -- my alarm didn't go off ..." She'd forgotten to set one. Ass.
"I'm Evie." Self-deprecating smile for Murph, and a small wave to the fox. They'd met on several occasions, after all. "Thanks for the help."
There wasn't really that much to do. Some of her clothing still needed to be tossed or forced into the boxes, but the random souvenir and novelty cups and plates were already packed. The large black trash bag sitting ominously in the corner held the evidence of her love of booze, empty wine bottles that had piled up over the past few months. She'd be throwing those away with red cheeks, most likely. The furniture wasn't hers, so all she had left to do was clothing and her sheets. Being as she didn't care about folding things, it would take the shake of a lamb's tail.
While she might have been getting used to this whole idea of waking with the sun, the vixen was still far from being a morning person. Blinking repeatedly, she just barely made out the form of Murphy and her motions to join her away from the other sleepers. A nod was given to let Murph know she was getting up, then she worked at extricating herself from the tangle of sheets, arms and legs. Really, that was the only downside to adding herself to the puppy pile. Luckily, she didn’t have to go all the way to her room for clothes. Whenever she felt the need to join the puppy pile, she brought clothing down with her.
Dressed in jeans and a crimson tank top, she headed toward the smell of coffee. Ah. That made up for being awake at this unholy hour, at least. The travel mug was grasped eagerly and brought to her lips, sipping the piping hot liquid to give her brain a boost. A brow went up as she heard she was volunteered as a mover, but her usual smirk touched her lips soon enough. At least Murphy would be there too. That meant it wouldn’t be so bad.
The vixen followed along behind Murphy since she was still trying to wake her brain up. At the question, she looked puzzled for a minute. Eve? She didn’t know any Eve, did she? Wait! Evie. “Evie? Oh, she’s a nice one so far as I know. I haven’t spent much time around her though, so I can’t tell you much.”
The drive was pleasant enough, even with the sun stabbing her in the eyes. When they got to Evie’s, she stood back, chuckling, as Murphy announced their presence. The thumps and general sound of hurry from the other side of the door let her know she wasn’t the only one who hadn’t been planning to get up at this hour.
“Morning, Evie. Nice to see you again. This is Murphy. Just tell us which boxes we need to be careful with and we’ll have this done in no time.” A wink for the shorter woman. Lexie had no problem with using that lycanthrope strength to speed this along. After all, the sooner they finished loading the truck, the sooner they could get back to the house and unload it.
West had found himself a nice comfy spot on the couch and was currently enjoying himself a cup of coffee and the morning paper when his area of quiet became a meeting between the Ulfric and a few others. One who he knew, a lass that went by the name Loke and two he did not know. The southern gent had never been the nosey body sort of fellow but it could not be helped in this moment since he had already been here and not wishing to interrupt the conversation he remained seated and said not a word.
A shake of the paper was given to straighten out the article on the bottom of the page. West tried to mind his own qu's and t's but it was hard when Ash had sent out a call that literally turned heads and tails. The red devil that beat inside of him stood to attention and was all to eager to please. Long had it been since the cowboy felt his wolf turned and directed and though it was not a unfamiliar feeling it was still mind rolling all the same. He lifted his head to allow that Amber gaze of his a travel over the two he did not know. One a male whose power proceeded him quite nicely and a female with violet eyes .Innocent looking but it did not take a Einstein to know that she packed power as well. A second was all that was needed for the southern gent to catch and store their scents for later memory.
Not wanting to intrude while their Ulfric was talking the cowboy just nodded a greeting toward the unknown male and offered a wink of greeting to the purple eyed female. As for Loke he patted her leg with the paper before setting it down onto his lap The mug met with his lips. After a few sips he lowered it to a coaster on a stand next to the couch. When all were done with their answers to Ash West spoke out.
"Beg ya' pardon Ash, if ya' like I would watch this Evie as well. If the darlin' be someone of heart to ya'. The good lord knows I be needin' sum thang to do. If ya' rather I not since I am new I'd understand all the same and take no offense if ya' said no. Just reckoned I'd tell ya' that I be with ya' if ya' be needing the extra guard".

Amber gaze moved from Memphis and then to Anya as they settled around the Ulfric. Memphis and Anya where old school, the kind of person that made everything seem all right even if it wasn't. Oddly enough, being near them always made her feel quite young mentally, perhaps she just hadn't had enough years to compare with what they had seen.
Her eyes flickered away from Anya as she felt the paper tap her leg. Unease trickled up her spine faintly from West being so close. He was just way to tempting and that of course made Loke very uncomfortable.
Breaking her eyes back away from West she looked at Ash and nodding in silent agreement with Memphis. Everything was peachy till West spoke up about protecting Evie as well. She had to bite her tongue to keep from snapping at him. Amber gaze focused on the floor as she steadied her breathing. It wasn't that she didn't like the male wolf, hell she liked him way to much for her own good. But he was flirty and touchy and she did not like the thought of him being near Evie in the least. Hopefully in all the years the Telemetric had known Loke, hopefully she had picked up some of Loke's attitude. She glanced at Anya knowing full well her Sifu had caught the sudden rage that spiked in her. She gave a tenative smile before she pushed herself off the edge of the couch and moved to Memphis wiped a bit of grease off his chin with her thumb.
"Sorry, can't help it." She wiped it off his skin and then rubbed her thumb over her jean pants to clean her thumb off.
She had been watching Memphis trying to fix that rust bucket of a taxi. She knew that song he was humming. Something about him humming it made Lyric feel as if he was finally moving on more. Sitting on the tool bench, she pulled her legs in closer. Arms around her limbs as she watched him. Eyes went wide when Memphis hit his head on the hood. Lyric cringed as if she could feel the pain for him. Ash was calling.
Ash may not be her Ulfric anymore on the count of her being dead and everything. Though it never stopped Lyric from coming to his call. She followed right behind Memphis. His grease covered upper body was really rather sexy. Actually Memphis looked sexy almost always. She took a spot next to the Freki. Her head hovered over his heart. She didn't think he could feel it. Most people wouldn't feel her at all. Maybe Silent once or twice. Of course that could be because of stress. Those things made you think and see crazy things.
The announcement of Evie moving in gave Lyric a smile. Without thinking she was calling out to Ash. "I'll watch her!" When he didn't look her way, she remembered. She was a ghost. Turning so she could feel the heat of Memphis' chest under her cheek. She didn't feel it as much as before. She was feeling out of touch with everything as of late. Almost like she was fading. Could ghosts fade? She didn't want to fade, she wanted to be part of the pack again. She wanted to be able to hold her Ulfric again and she wanted to touch Memphis again too. She wanted to be able to shift into her wolf. There was so much she wanted to do again. So much life she wanted to take back.
Lyric didn't move when Loke came near to clean the spot of grease on Harry's chin. Something Lyric couldn't do no matter how much she focused on her hands to do the task. She could only write on mirrors of there was steam to show the message. That was as far as she could get.
Severance was going to have one heck of a big headache later. Hopefully stitches would not be needed for the small head injury. Her hand fell back from her head to reveal a blood stained hand it had happened sometime during the night when one of the host of a ghost decided to go all hell fire on her. The necromancer was dressed in a simple black dress with matching scandals. Nothing to fancy of course since calling upon the dead could be a rather messy job. Ebony hair had grown since last they saw her and now instead of meeting in the middle of her back it reached a inch or two past her rear. It was tied back into a ponytail with her usual black lace ribbon and as she walked it swayed along with a cold breeze that blew whenever the grave dancer entered upon company. Death was her calling and the grim reaper her master the two went together like blood through veins. Living her life like a sleeping puppet her time had come to go deeper. The final journey had just begun marked from birth her destiny was outlined so she would progress forward with no fear.
Tired she moved toward the pack house so close she was just a little bit further and then she could relax. Tall and strong she held herself when every part of her body cried out for sleep. Eyes of a bright rolling tide bled with a deep intensity as she stared toward the door where her family resided. Something drew near, Severance could feel it some where deep inside her and though she had no clue what it was or when it would make it's appearance she was determined to stand near keeping herself close to her pack family. Sevvy would not allow anything to happen to them and if something wanted to come after them then it would have to literally move heaven and hell to get through this Vargamor. Finally she was home again, she could not help but sigh in relief when her hand met with the door. High above her she could see Seven circling the house as if on guard duty. It brought a smile to the death caller's face. A deep breath was taken as she stepped into the house only seconds behind Memphis. She had seen him enter as well as another behind him one she hadn't seen in awhile and mainly because that someone was dead.
It seemed Lyric hadn't noticed Sevvy yet or perhaps now noticed her but hadn't the faintest idea that the necromancer could see her. Power cold and of the darkest crypt slipped forward to rush the occupants of the room with a cold kiss. It was not thrown out on purpose it was simply that it could not be kept dormant. Severance smiled the softest of smiles as she entered into the living room. A few were there that she did not know like the blond woman and the male sitting on the couch. Memphis and Loke she did know so she gave a silent wave to them before heading over to stand a bit behind Memphis. Her place to stand was not because she was trying to move in on Harry it was because of a certain ghost. Sevvy stared at Lyric, the blood on Severance's head had dried now and she paid it no mind.
Ash was talking so Severance did not speak out not wishing to interrupt him so instead she blew him a kiss and then looked back to Lyric and then stepped close to her. A hand was held out to her giving her a invite if she so wished. Lyric could come into her for a minute if she so wished it or could just touch Sevvy's hand in greeting. If just a greeting the skin would not be felt but the cold power of Sevvy would embrace them both in a mental power sort of embrace. Lips mouth the ghost's name..
" Lyric "...

Giving a smile that pretty much explained that she'd only just woken up, lips lopsided with her gloved hands rising to rub at her grey eyes, the small girl nodded. "Good t'see you too, Lexi ..." For a moment, she seemed a bit spaced out. What was that? Oh-- right! The actual moving in thing. Shaking her head to clear the sleep away, Ms. North blurted a mildly embarrassed, "Sure! Yeah, thanks ... ah, ah ... yes. Come in!" Never polite to keep guests waiting. Stepping back, Evie held the door open to allow their smooth entrance.
Stepping inside after them, Evie moved towards the boxes in the kitchen, making a swirling motion with a gloved index finger. "Aaah ... yeah. All of that's ready to go. The, uhm, the furniture came with the place, so I don't think they'd appreciate my taking it? I'll just ... run upstairs and finish a few more things." Like, you know. Putting on a bra and a shirt she hadn't slept the past several evenings in.
Bare feet started up the stairs at a trot, voice calling down as she disappeared onto the landing above, "thanks again!" Lexi was a casual acquaintance on many occasions, but Murphy was a stranger. No need to make too bad of a first impression ...
Once upstairs, Evie was as quick as a tiny human tornado. Grabbing discarded clothes and throwing them into the two open boxes left sitting in her bedroom, it was a few moments after that she realized she'd forgotten to put on a new shirt. "Son of a bitch ..". Grabbing the first thing in reach, a loose yellow tank-top that shed accidentally bought three sizes too big. Really, she needed to check labels better. Peeling off her t-shirt, Evie was quick to wrestle on a sports bra before tugging on the tank-top. Sprinting into the bathroom, she didn't even bother to stick her things in a different bag. Tossing them into an open box, not bothering to care that some of them were wet, Evie surveyed the small room to make sure she had everything. Make-up, brush, toothpaste, toothbrush ... yeahp. Pretty much everything.
Stripping her bed, Evie shoved the linens in the box closest, jumping on them and wading about to make every last thing fit. "Woo!" One box left to close, and only a few items to move. The only things she really, truly was careful on. Moving to the untouched top drawer, Evie moved her gently-folded gloves to rest on top of her messy clothing pile. The two rings from Aurora were slid into her pocket, as she didn't trust herself to find them in her array of shit later. The weight in her back pocket made her pulse spike and the heat rise to her face, but it was a happy reaction. Moving out was one step closer to the men she loved.
Crowing like a rooster, Evie started down the stairs with one of the heavy boxes, staggering but managing not to eat shit and die. "I'm done packing!" They'd be at the pack house in no time.
Being that Evie was dear to Ash in some way that Lexi didn’t fully understand, she might have given the shorter woman a hug as greeting. But, she caught herself before she could make the telemetric uncomfortable with such a display. Instead she merely surveyed the boxes and tried to decide how many could be carried without dropping anything. Typical smirk was directed Evie’s way and she made shooing motions for the woman to go take care of whatever it was she needed to finish up.
Emerald gaze settled on Murphy once Evie had disappeared. “Shall we? I think I can manage two or three at a time without dropping them. Shouldn’t take too long at all.” A wink and she set about stacking a couple boxes before lifting the stack up.
Lift with the legs, not your back… That’s it, now don’t run into the… “Mph. Bloody doorway.” Peering around the edge of the boxes, she managed to avoid a repeat of that embarrassing incident. Boxes were carefully set down in the bed of the truck, moved this way and that until she was satisfied nothing would slide around. When Murphy brought out more, she’d do the same thing, situating them with the same care.
As she headed in to get what was left, she spotted Evie coming down the stairs unsteadily and moved to catch one end of the box so that she wouldn’t fall. “Need a hand, luv?” The vixen was careful to ask before she did more than keep the box from tipping. Some humans could be so touchy about a lycanthrope’s extra strength and she wasn’t about to upset their new roommate.
