Ariadne had hung up with Jane. The phone was set in her back pocket. She was glad that Ker and Hannibal were bonding. Having seen them disappear off to some place. It would help them move on from what happened. Grabbing some supplies for Guinevere and for Rux. It was for the Kris and to bring Trinity into the position that Ariadne had promised.
She had to discuss it with the Kris first, though her word was law in these matters. Gwen and Rux both liked Trinity, no matter who the woman called a friend. Heading down from her trailer, the wind played against her face, tugging at her hair. It was a nice summer wind. a small smile pressed itself to her lips before she doubled over. A scream ripping free from her throat. Her right arm! Something was wrong with it.
Romeo and Merc came running to her side. She shoved them away with her left hand as she pulled in the right arm to her chest. "Its nothing, its nothing. Go, I'm fine" The pain rocke dher body. She felt as if something just jabbed itself into her wrist. Nothing was there, nothing marked her skin. But the pain was real. A sharp ache that burned. Her blood was boiling with it and she clinched her teeth. The twins looked at her with worry as she gave them a forced smile. "Fine. Go... just go. I'm fine." A lie, but she had no idea what had happened. What was even going on.
The lie had proved enough for the twins to leave her alone. At least long enough to rub the spot where her arm hurt. She held back from making those pitiful painful noises. She could feel the set of eyes on her. They knew something was wrong with her. It was starting to show. She was slacking. Bringing in a vampire and a weretiger into her land and then offering them safe passage while they were here. Ariadne was going to have to do something big to make the people stop worrying.
She had to do what Gwen wanted of her. Give the tribe the daughter she knew they were demanding of her. Reaching the Seer's trailer she would knock. After a moment the door was opened and Ariadne walked in. Always stepping into Guinevere's trailer felt like she was walking into another world. The woman was dabbling much in the arts. Ariadne was wondering where the floating books and candles were hiding. Then again that would be a little too Harry Potter for even Guinevere's tastes. Maybe for Hollow's Eve.
Tea was set down in front of Ariadne. She used her left arm to take up the cup. The meeting with Rux and Gwen wouldn't take to long. Or so she hoped. She wanted to see Azrael later that night.
However a few hours later, she felt her arm burning again. Holding back her words for a second. She nodded to Rux about what was needed. The burn wasn't bad. It gave her this odd sense of peace. A calm that Ariadne never felt before. She could feel it all through her body. Her arm was feeling better. It didn't hurt like before. The pain was almost gone completely. Something was really wrong. Something about that night at the compound. The image of Jane's face appeared in Ariadne mind. It caused her to miss what Gwen was saying.
"I understand..." She answered hoping that's what the Seer wanted. The look that crossed Gwen's face told Aria she had said something wrong. "I'm sorry Gwen. I'm getting a headache. Can I have more tea, please?" The Seer rose and nodded. This gave Ariadne a little time to think. She needed to see Azrael soon.
