He was going to die before he could even take Bianca out to dinner. And it was really a shame. He'd refused to speak to the man, a Fae, he said he was. Malcolm was fascinated and terrified all at once. He'd never met a Fae, and only read of their existance. It seemed this would be the first and last. He died. He felt his life slip from his body even through the intense pain that had been caused by the silver dagger. But then after a few moments of blissful nothingness, he felt the pain return. He thought for a moment he must be in hell before he slipped into the nothingness again. Only this time it was unconsciousness. He would be found in a bloody heap just outside of the very hospital he worked at. There would be nothing there, and then an ambulance would flash by going to the emergency entrance and his body would appear. One of the nurse's coming in for her shift would notice him, and recognize the crushed glasses as that of Malcolm Book's. She screamed for a doctor and help, and the staff was in action in no time. They would find some serious internal injuries and a large gash that was barely healed across his chest. But something unknown was holding his conscious hostage, as not once did the Book's brainwaves go above the levels of any other patient in a coma. __________________
