Mommy was angry.  The child didn't need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out. Being expelled from the room pretty much took care of any doubts she might have had about whether or not Shane was pissed for real. And all of it was Harley's fault.  To Crawly it was that simple. If Harley didn't snap none of that would have happened and she and Deli and yes even Harley, would have all remained together to welcome Nori to her new life.

Sulking and quite put out, Crawly slithered out of the room, throwing a look in Harley's direction that managed to tell the Boa how much shit she was in and yet just how happy Crawly was that the Boa finally got put in her place. Crawly was a complex child like that.  Looking up at Deli, Crawly simply held up her arms, a universal sign for "pick me up." And once she was riding high in Deli's arms, Crawly squirmed and wriggled till she could tilt half her body till she was positively bent double with her head upside down and the brown mess of hair nearly brushing the floor. If Deli had problems holding her like that Crawly didn't care.  She wanted to be carried, walking was for chimps.

Directing Deli where to go, the two snakes headed for Dexter's territory. It was one way Crawly thought of the "off limit" areas where even she wasn't allowed.  Once at the doorway, Crawly squirmed and sat up, grinning wickedly at Deli as she pressed her index finger against her lips and motioned for the other snake to Shhhhhhhhhhhhh.

"Shhhhhhhhhhh be very, very quiet."  Giggling like a sprite, Crawly reached out and knocked on the large door that lead to Dexter's haven.  Three knocks once. Pause, then three more knocks. Once to let him know there was someone at the door followed by time to realize that he didn't imagine the sound. Then more knocking to confirm that yes, he did indeed have guests.  Tilting her head the child listened for any sounds to indicate life on the other side, but just in case she called out...So much for being quiet.

"Uncle Dexsssster!  It'sssss Crawly. Mommy saysss sssshe needsss your help."   Cupping her hands over her mouth Crawly whispered the last bit, trying in vain to keep that particular fact nice and covert.

Deliverance hadn't done shit for once.  It wasn't her fault that Harley decided to grow a set of balls and become an idiot and attack her in front of Shane.  But she was pissed all the same, because she had wanted to be there for Nori's first shift.  It was a pretty sacred event and it upset her that now they were the scolded children.  She was pouting just as much as her counterpart, that she scooped up at her beckoning.

Carrying her off, careful not to step on her hair as she dangled from her arms, she gave a tiny throaty chuckle at the childs antics.  "What are you ever going to do once you get to big for this?"  A grin down to Crawley as the girl wriggled up in her arms at "The Door".   Deliverance had met Dexter once.  It had left quite the impression on her.  Not scared or nervous, but .. an impression either way.

At the motion of being shushed, she nodded and watched Crawley exaggeratedly knocked and call out to Dexter.  A shift of her weight as she listened for movement, a sign that Dexter was behind the closed doors.  He was always to quiet, one never knew when he was near, and perhaps that was what bothered Deliverance the most.
