Malcolm returned home to smell something quite delicious wafting through the pack house. And not the usual smells of the cooking of Mama, but the wonderful aroma of Italian cuisine. Llidya had mentioned making some sort of lovely dish involving Cappelletti and Agnolotti, with Bolognese sauce. His stomach rumbling, Malcolm moved towards the kitchen, pushing his horn rimmed glasses further up his nose. He expected to find Llidya-marvel-of-nature at the stove finishing up the savory dinner she had promised. Instead he found Damon mopping up a mess of meat sauce and half cooked pasta on the counter.
"What the bloody hell happened in here?" Viridescent hues were wide and bewildered as he bent over to help Damon with the mess. The man replied that Silent and Llidya had left and she had left a note for Ash. That was all he knew. Malcolm took the letter from Damon and moved to get a towel for further cleaning.
Verdant hues moved to the refridgerator and he raised a brow at the black paper that was taped over the door. With a sigh, Malcolm straightened from his endeavors and moved to the telephone to call Ash. The letter was addressed to him, and maybe there were some answers within. Even though the envelope wasn't sealed, he wasn't going to make himself privy to the man's private business. After the call was made, he would move to continue to help Damon clean up the mess.
Elena had been out of the pack house since dawn. It was one of those days that had been perfect for a jog, meditation, and in the end, supreme relaxation. At least, it had started out as one of those days. But if she'd known what had been going on, what had gone on earlier, she never would've spent it lounging about.
As it was, from the moment she stepped into the pack house, she could sense the disarray even before those liquid blue-greens caught sight of the mess that Damon and Malcolm seemed to be cleaning up. Brow lifted quizzically as she placed her bottle of water on the counter, kneeling down, she began to help the two wolves, her own wolf placid and quiet behind its gilded cage. She was silent for several moments, before giving a searching glance to both men.
"Soooo tell me," that rich Czech accent spilling through almost bemused words. "Who made the mess .. and why weren't jello shots involved?" Of course, she was only teasing. She glanced back and forth between the two men, not having noticed the note that was tacked to the door yet.
Malcolm glanced up to Elena, and gave her a smile as he straightened. There was a nervous uncertainty in the look on his face, as really, he had no idear as to what was going on. Virid hues lowered to the floor and he noted with some satisfaction that Damon was almost finished.
"Well, apparently...Silent and Llidya left." Malcolm gave a shrug of his shoulders, shoving his hands into his pockets. The note to Ash was in his back pocket. "Silent left a note for Ash, but other than that, I've no idear as to what is going on. I called him, but he didn't pick up his phone. I suppose he's off doing something for that new business he was so excited about." That British lilt rolled off his tongue as he explained, and he moved to the cabinets to pull down a six pack of Boddington's. A glance was given over his shoulder.
She returned his smile with one of her own, her head tilting off to one side as she listened. The smile faded, though, as he spoke the words he did. "Silent did, did she?" Vibrant irises darkened slightly as she tried to think of all of the reasons in the world why Silent would take Llidya somewhere by force. She knew Silent was supposed to be training Llidya in things, but that didn't explain things very much now, right?
After a moment, she nodded. Malcolm was probably right, Ash was probably off doing something for his work. "He'll call back. He always does." Straightening, Elena shook her head, lips curving in a somewhat apologetic manner. "No thank you." The polite declination was indicative of her refusal to drink anything remotely close to beer. It was something Vinny knew all to well, but she didn't point any of that out when it came to the other wolf. Her eyes flickered towards the note as she finally caught sight of it, still frowning and just .. all around hoping Ash would call be soon so she could figure out exactly what had happened. -d
