The house was surveyed through her Bahamas-clear water hues one last time before she turned away, cranking up the Chevrolet Silverado. Llidya pulled out of the long driveway, pulling a trailer that had her destroyed car on the top and the bed stacked with a few boxes of her things. There was a duffle back with her clothes in the back seat of the quad cab, and she had everything she needed. Well, not everything. But she could always go back to do her Black Widow stuff. Most of that stayed, she didn't need the pack to know about her alter ego.
It didn't take long for her to get to the pack house, as her property and theirs were merely a couple of miles apart. Llidya pulled in, and then off to the side to back the trailer up next to the house. She rolled out of the driver's seat, the truck still running to go unhitch the trailer. After a few moments, that was done, and she jumped back into the cab only to manuevre the truck to park next to the trailer. Llidya grabbed the military duffle bag and got out, leaving the keys in the ignition. If anybody needed a car, it'd be there for them. Llidya only bought the 2009 truck to get her Impala to the pack house so she could work on it. There wasn't local listing for Monster Motors anywhere in Rome, so it was a job she was going to have to tackle herself.
Llidya moved through the house and to her room, which was placed on the other side of the house from the kitchen. She dropped her duffel bag on the bed and looked at the package with the green bow. She flipped up the note, and her expression was absolutely unreadable as she took in the contents.
Llidya opened the package and pulled out the clothes, shaking her head. The pants wouldn't fit, not long enough, and the shirt was too baggy. She took in the type of clothing that it was though and went pulled the drawstring on her duffel bag, reaching in to pull out her rolled up clothes. A pair of gray sweat pants and sweatshirt was pulled forth, along with a matching t-shirt. That'd work better.
Llidya shut her door a moment as she changed into her attire, the acronym USMC printed down her right thigh, across the back of the t-shirt and sweat shirt. She slipped on her boots again, and then opened the door, stepping out to the kitchen to grab a drink before she headed to the asylum to meet Loopy.
Silent had left the house earily the day of Llydia's move in.Silent needed to clear her mind. Think. Then clear her mind once more. She had tried doing one of those meditation things that Ash tried to teach her....But it only led to Silent thinking again..Which in truth defeated the whole reason of mediation...So..She did the one thing that did help.
DESTRUCTION!! It was a sure fire way not to think. Just swing. Swing. Destroy. Its what both woman and beast craved. Chaos. Mess. It was having quite the calming effect on Silent.Gave her time to prepare...Now Some would think Silent was being over dramatic...But it wasnt that way..Not at all.
Deep down she could feel the call of the full pregnate moon that would soon demand the hunt..To hear their sad songs filling the air. To long had rome been without a true pack...Bending down she would grab the half empty bottle of beer and move towards the window. And the moment she hit the window...She smelt, felt and soon saw Llydia.
And one thing was apparent..The stupid bitch really didnt listen. Closing her eyes she would bang her head some against the window. What the fuck was she thinking? Offering to help this woman. Sighing she would move to meet the red head at the door with a nice big punch to the face...Right in the damn nose.
"Those clothes were for your safety...Go back change and meet me here. You should really learn to listen to the leaders of the pack."
Pausing a moment she would sigh.
"Actually. Dont come back here. Imma gonna work with you. But not till after the full moon."
Yes..Silent you can slam the door on her now. A small smile of well she wasnt sure what..But she would train Llydia as she promised Ash...Just not while she couldnt trust her own emotions.
Llidya sized the door up as she approached, remembering the last time she'd walked into the place. That'd been fun. Just as she reached for the handle, the door swung open, that taint of swamp wolf flooding out. Fortunately for Llidya, she had a pretty good idea how Silent would greet her. Be it a kick in the shin or a punch in the nose. And punch in the nose it was.
Chapman leaned back just as she had the very first night they'd met, when Silent had tried to break her nose, and now didn't feel any different. That tap still connected, and the blood still flowed, but no broken bones. Her Bahamas-clear water hues settled on the multi-colored wolf as she talked. She reached up with the collar of her shirt to catch the fluid as she went on about something about safety and leaders. How the hell were sweat pants and a t-shirt supposed to be safe? And what was wrong with wearing clothes that fit?
Silent was no leader, not that she was aware of, there was no title to her. Lexie was Hati, and Loke was Bolverk. Memphis and Elena held the positions of Freki and Geri respectively, and Vinny was Skoll. Not that she really knew what any of those meant, she just knew they were titles. Just like Ash was Ulfric. That one was easy enough, he was leader.
Chapman held a reign on her emotions as Silent slammed the door in her face, and wondered if the wolf always got her kicks screwing with the newer wolves. Well, she knew she got her kicks screwing vampires.
She turned, moving back to her bike as she wiped at her nose, the bleeding had stopped. Chapman wondered how someone could act that way towards Ash. But then, she was entirely in love with the man, and so her opinion was completely biased. The motor hummed to life, and Chapman took off back towards to pack house, to change yet again.
One should never guess they know Silent. Cause she doesnt even know herself.Shes a constant work in progress. With way to many come back later were rebuilding moments.Sad but true. But this was the way of the pretty little girl gone crazy. Add in being a lycanthrope...Well what you got there is a whole lotta mess.So thinking that one would know that Silent was gonna come out swinging..Would be sadly mistaken. Hell she didnt know she was gonna till fist connected with face.
It had been one of those things that happened and she immediately regretted it...But would Silent say sorry? Ha! Fat chance.THAT, was one thing that wasnt in Silent nature. Well unless she really was...Or in those few occasions when she knew she was completely in the wrong. And at this moment? Nope she didnt feel that way. In her mind it was part of the training. Lesson one and two. Learn to control your beast around blood. And of course healing.A smirk would tug at her lips.Hey noone ever said the swamp wolf had the best of logic...Or the most sane.
Moving back to the window Silent would watch the red head leave. Thinking about the look of fuck you llidya gave her. And well one thing was apparent the dumb bitch who claimed to know what being a lycan..Or more like being a wolf was about...Had no fucking clue. Or at least had no clue what a Lupa was. And granted there were times when Silent herself didnt know. But she knew this. She was once Ash's Freki. That he had said in making her his mate and Lupa...That she had become more then that. Rising above what she once was...Ment something..And in Sil's mind. Left her as a leader...Like Barbie was to Milo.
Which ment Silent needed to get Llidya one of those Pack life for assholes...Or no that wasnt it..She would grab the keys to the hummer she had borrowed for a few hours. As she made her way out to it she tried to remember the name..No it wasnt assholes..Though those who bought those books..Were. Hey she owned a few..And was proud to admit she was a asshole. Sometimes. But it was for dummies or idot...Same thing really.
Sliding behind the stearing wheel she would take a deep breath. Taking in that all to intoxicating scent that was Ash. She needed to call him. No better yet...She would start the beast of a suv and drive out to meet him and help him carry whatever goodies for the Lupanar home.So it after a short where ya at convo on her cell..She would go out to meet him.
Her cheek brushing against his. Her lips brushing over his for a moment. Before looking down.
" I think I broke her nose....But it should of healed already. I wasnt thinking. Just was angery."
Silent would chew on her lower lip a moment as she stared at the glitter on those red boots. Glancing up those tri colored hues would meet the more the likily angery blue ones of Ash.She would take another deep breath.
"I shoulda waited till after the moon...To..Work with her. When I have more control. But I wanted to start soon. Prove to myself..That I can do it. Test one..I fail."
She would laugh some.
"But I went threw my stuff..Found one of my old pups(Yes Silent called those that she sponsored..Or in fact had infected her pups.) clothes ..The one before Sirus. Keira. They smelt of her. She was.. Is one person..In the whole world. I could never bring myself to hurt..And just the smell I thought would insure I didnt go stupid."
Yes. In Silents mind it made perfect sense.
"Anyways. I left it for Lldyia..Told her to wear it. No questions..And to meet me at the asylum...And what does she do? Shows up in whatever she pleases. DOesnt even bring what I gave her along. Reaking of well..I dont know.I didnt take a moment to smell...So..I punched her."
She would glance at him..Yea this was the perfect thing to do. No hey honey hows ya day.Just out with the confession. But Silent figured she should tell him sooner then later..It was always those laters that seemed to hurt them.
"Im sorry. I just. How can I do this if I cant get her to follow directions? Like I said it was a bad idea to start before the full moon."
Reaching for his hand she would bring it to her lips. Kinda one of her do you forgive me moves.
Ash met Silent outside in the back where he was casting off the last of the day's activities with a glass of wine and a cigarette. The sunset was beautiful in the distance over the vineyard, and he felt calm for the moment. Their cheeks brushed and he let his generous lips touch hers for a chaste moment before she began explaining to him what had happened. Reaching out he took her hand in his and lifted it to his face. Nose ran lightly across her knuckles where he could smell Lydia's blood. It made his electrically lit blue eyes darken a fraction as he thought about what had happened, but then he let out his breath in a smooth sigh.
"You're training her to control herself, and to be a better member of this pack. A wolf who can't be trusted with simple things can't be trusted in the hunt, or with her pack mates. You did what you had to do."
Shoulders gave a slight shrug at the statement. It was true. Silent's dislike of Lydia, and his love for her weren't what mattered here. What mattered was for Lydia to learn what it meant to obey the law of the pack, be it in small matters or large, so that one day her stubborness didn't get her killed. Feeling her lips against his hand he turned it so that his palm could cup her chin a moment, letting her see in his eyes that he trusted her to make the best of this awkward situation. That being a Lupa was much more than being the mate to his beast, it was this. It was showing a pack mate how to live even when you wanted them to die.
Extreme truths, but undeniable. The fact that Silent was even putting herself out there in such a matter showed a lot. Standing from his seat he slid the glass of wine towards her to finish off. He was going to see Lydia's nose. Before going though he pulled the paperwork from the Carnivale out of his back pocket and laid it on the table for her to look over.
"If you need help with anything else let me know."
Pale hand brushed back the thick ropes of her dreadlocks softly before leaning down to place a soft kiss on her forehead. As he kissed her he breathed in her smell, head turning to brush his cheek against the top of her head where he could pick up her scent and carry it on his skin. Then with a final brush of fingers through her hair he turned to go follow Lydia's scent out towards the Lupanar.
