The letter to the Ulfric was simplicity of words, straight up and directly to the heart of the matter. If she wanted to use fancy words she’d have penned a song.  And that would have gotten the wrong kind of message across. Not the first impression Bianca wanted to make.

So it went something like this instead.

“Hi my name is Bianca.

I’m new to the area and I am officially requesting permission to be in your territory. If you’d like to meet I can be reached at (phone number here) or you can find me at il Daffè di Apocalittici almost every night. I mean your people no harm. I simply ask for safe haven while I’m here.

With Respect,

Bianca"

The letter was folded, and stuffed into a matching envelope, which in turn was stuffed into Dr. Book’s coat so it could be delivered. He offered, and she simply took him up on that offer. And faster than the post office. Bonus

The letter was pulled from beneath the small notepad he'd been writing on and he lifted it up to an inch beneath his nose so that he could breath in the scent that was on it. It smelled both of some strange female and Dr. Malcolm. That combination evoked some curiosity, but for the moment he let it slip away. There were more important priorities at the moment beyond the good doctors love life. Breaking the seal on the envelope he pulled out the letter and let his eyes scan over the page.

It was oddly written for a lycanthrope. Any lycan knew that the reason for territorial battles had very little to do with fear for ones people and more to do with the primal dominance of the beast. That half of them that was all animal didn't like sharing hunting grounds with strangers. Especially among a pack where dominance ran heavy and their hunting grounds were being encroached upon by other critters. Still, he figured he could meet with her and see what she wanted. That seemed far more politically correct than simply chasing her furry hide out of town. So once again he picked up the phone and dialed, figuring he would end up leaving a message.

"Bianca, this is Mr. Redfern,  have Dr. Book bring you to see me as soon as possible."

There was power in his voice, even over a phone line that was obvious. He wanted her to come to him sooner than later and it was obvious by his tone that that wasn't a suggestion or a request. Hanging up his phone he turned back to the paper in front of him. There were other calls. Mostly business, but they could wait a bit. He had promised himself that he would help Silent, and that was what he intended to do before anything more got in the way.

Standing from the desk he would leave the study to go change into clothes more suited to construction work. The orchid would be taken with him to his room, a project for him to work on when he got some free time before bed that evening. As he moved around getting ready he called the cell phone company and had his account rerouted so people could once again reach him directly.
