Lupanar Announcements (All Pack)
Permalink Closed

For the first time since coming to Rome Ash had called the pack together. In traditional means he had made phone calls, left voice messages, emails, but when it came down to it what called was simply his power as Ulfric. It sang through the night in the wolfs holiest of places. Ash sent that power out through the city to find his wolves and draw them to him. With power he called and bound them to him. The Crimson Snow Pack. His family. To refuse would have been an act of willful disobedience.

For the first time he stood in the lupanar alone. The land on the vineyard had been cleared to make a gathering place for them surrounded by the boughs of beautiful weeping willow trees. It was a circular clearing where the earth had been packed down but left with no grass. A place for grappling, for the burst of shifting. In times past he had held a position at the head of the lupanar with his Lupa by his side, but Silent had not been home in awhile. Her days and nights were spent at her asylum, and so he waited for her just as he waited for the others.

The air of the winter night was cold, but it couldn't touch him. The warmth inside was more than enough to keep that chill at bay. As his people began to file in Ash stayed in the shadows of the willow, his hand braced on the rough wood of the trunk as he maintained a leaned stance. It was good to see those familiar faces all in one place. Those people who had been with him for as long as he could remember. Old faces mingled with the new as the space filled and the otherworldly energy of so many lycans choked the air. Power. There was much power here. If tapped by the wrong hands it could be a mighty force, but Ash was not concerned with using their power. His main concern was making them a family, and trying if he could to make them happy.

Once the space was filled and he determined that no one else was coming he stepped out from beneath the dropping boughs of the willow tree. Pale hands lightly lifted to bring the group to silence, but it was an unnecessary movement. He could feel the curiousity humming on the air like a palpable entity. Ash could read them, could see into their primal minds, especially with those he had known for so long. Luckily this was a time for celebration. A time to come together and be glad.

"We made it to Rome safely, and together. And we have had time to mourn those that are no longer with us and to greet those who are new to us. Now I want us all to welcome the new hierarchy of our pack. I have made my choices, and I hope you will see the wisdom in my choices."

Ash nodded to Memphis and Elena for them to take their places to his left in the normal post Freki and Geri would take up at formal gatherings. Nothing had changed there, and it wouldn't if the gods were kind and nothing happened to them.

"Our Cypress chose a new path, and I have asked Vinny, our Hati to take her place as Skoll for the pack. And Lexie will be taking his place as Hati."

Ash mortioned for the bear and vixen to take their places at his left so that the pack could see them in their new positions. It would be a sign of equality if the pack accepted fox and bear in these higher positions. If not then challenge might ensue.

"And Loke will be acting as the packs new Bolverk should it be needed."

Loke was motioned forward to take her place beside Lexie. Now Ash let his electrically charge eyes glance out towards the pack at large. His energy shifted through them and flowed into them. He was Ulfric, Wolf King. Their leader. His power was not separate from their but rather flowed into theirs. Listening beyond his normal senses he searched for any dischordant notes.

"Is there any who would challenge these stations?"

It did not matter that she held no beast any longer. Ash's power, Ash's being was a force that Lyric could not ignore. He commanded waves, and unknowing to him, he had a destiny. Lyric could not clearly see such things, but she saw him and bits and pieces of his future. It was as if the doors and windows were open. Allowing Lyric to catch glimpses here and there. It was as if life was no longer this straight line. No longer it was from point A to point B. It moved and weaved and flowed in strips and pieces. Where one second could last a life time and one lifetime only holding a seconds time.

It was in one simple word.... unnerving. Being able to see this and not see it. Yes, it was very unnerving. The cool part was if she just thought of someone, she was at there side. Often moving through time and space itself to get there. Kinda like instant teleportation. At this current time, she was at Ash's side. He had called the wolves, and even though Lyric no longer had her wolf, she came. Came because his power rooted so deep within her commanded her to be there. There she was. The willow trees swayed. The breeze no longer touching her. The smells no longer reaching her nose. She could not taste, could not touch. Everything but her voice, ears and sight were removed. Even then, her voice worked only with those that had a pierce through the ether could they see her.

She stood at Ash's side. She knew she couldn't touch him and he could not feel her. She was there. He had survived. Lyric knew he would. The burn still raw on his chest, she could see. It bothered her that she couldn't do anything to fix it. Attention shifted when Memphis came to the lunapar. Lips would rise in a smile. She missed him. She missed hearing him laugh and sing his favorite song. Missed the way he smelled and the unnatural heat and pure presence of his wolf. Missed everything about Harry. She especially wanted to hold him then. Standing so proud next to Ash as Freki and Elena next to Memphis as Geri.

This was all watched from the willow trees. Watched as the branches swayed with the winter breeze. In that moment Lyric felt so sad. So empty. No longer apart of this. No longer Ash's little girl, no longer Memphis' partner at the bar. It was gone, all of it gone. The changes, the new wolves. New positions and people rising in rank. She was proud for Vinny being Skoll and even more proud for Lexie being Hati. The Bear and Fox had been with them for so long, and it was only right they took true stations in the pack.

Quietly she watched from a distance her back pressed lightly against the trunk of some forgotten tree. Arms were tucked beneath the silken material of her black duster, while feet crossed at the ankles. So much time had passed or so it seemed to the necromancer but in reality it was just a few days. The island that had been her home for a few weeks was now buried beneath some watery hell and she was uprooted and moved to this ancient city. Not like she had much choice in her decision to leave, after all she was the packs vargamore. In Truth it went so much deeper then that, in such a short time she had found herself connected with so many of them and now they were family and not just some passing shadowy faces that seemed unfamiliar.

Her absence of lately had been due to a lot of paranormal activity. She had thought the power play among the Islands inhabitants had been bad but that power failed into comparison with the onslaught of dead here. Severance could still feel the pounding behind her eyes that had been dealt rather violently toward her the moment she had vacated the plane. Her physic wall had never been tested or pulled at to where she literally doubled over in pain and due to that attack she pulled herself away from the others for a few days to better equip her abilities. It had been hard at first to learn how to push away unwanted intrusion but day by day she had succeeded and now finally she could rejoin her friends, family, and pack mates. That thought alone made her full lips curve into a soft smile as she took to looking over all of them closely.

Later she would talk to Ash about some of her rather surprising yet very useful new powers. For now though she would remain silent and give her full attention to those gathered around and most importantly to their Ulfric who deserved their utmost full respect as he gave out the new titles to those whom she thought to be perfect choices.

A soothing caw sounded the nights moon which had the grave keeper looking up to cascade the blue rolling tides of her eyes upon her most treasured possession, her other half and dead escorter Seven.

Long unruly hair of dark coal fell in a wave of play along her slender shoulders and with a flutter of the duster she uncrossed her arms and held a gloved hnd out up toward the call of Luna. Seven circled a moment around Luna's light before descending down into a graceful swoop, huge wings of obsidian shook in frenzy before then catching to the wind.  Feet extended showing a display of dark nails and then all sound cease to exist as he met with her hand. Wings folded back in and Seven leaned his head toward Severance who met the top of it's feathered head with a kiss.
The two stared at each other for a moment, the time span of a few heart beats before Severance nodded to him and whispered promisingly into the cold of the air..

" Yes Seven, I see them.. Do not fret my pet for they only wish to be among Ash's pack they are still family you know. Even if they do not exist physically in this plane anymore.. "..

Words from Sevvy seemed to satisfy the crow so it made no further demand of her attention and with a hop it moved to her shoulder. What Seven had brought up with that all to knowing look of his was that he saw the munin that gathered around them all. The power that radiated off of all of them, past and now was a amazing thing that held such strength and promise that it nearly made the vargamore shiver with some unspoken emotion she dared not voice out loud. The hair along the back of her neck rose and a fraction of a second passed where she had wanted to bath more in it but instead she pushed away from the tree and moved carefully toward the lupanar.

Each step was taken with precise, her head held high as she moved inwards not bothering to halt until she came into view of the others. The wind took it's seductive play of her hair as it drew out her scent and spread it out toward all, her power like usual was cold and dark and lingered with a bite of death that could be delivered by the simple kiss of her lips or so it seemed. Skin pale as snow, with contrasted with the very bright blue of her cryptic eyes, for one so close to the reaper it was strange that her smile that was often granted to others could seem friendly and feel so warm.
One hand fell open as it hung to her side to move fingers around in a silent dance of percussion. It was as if she were playing a stringed instrument through the realms of what was reality and what was illusion.

Her eyes clouded for a moment and then it was gone and up she looked toward their Ulfric Ash.  She had allowed herself to tap momentarily with the munin around to see what they were thinking. Head tilted as she stared at the empty space beside Ash it was  as if she were looking at something but then it moved and Sevvy was looking toward a weeping willow. Her eyes held seemed like glass and held that of a far away expression.  Turning she glanced back to Ash, Memphis, Loke, and Lexie to continue listening to what was being said.

Llidya didn't answer the call. She new the number, she didn't want to talk to him right now. Or anyone really, for that matter. She had stuff to get settled, and what few possessions she cared about, to get packed. But she paused later, in all her movements as she felt a warmth wash over her. Naggingly familiar and unsettling all the same.

And she found herself halting in her actions, and moving towards her car, grabbing her jacket. Llidya realized she was actually following her beast, her animal who wanted, needed to go somewhere right now. Normally Llidya would have given her whole, shut the fuck up to the creature, but she was actually curious.

The car found it's way to the pack house, and she was one of the last to arrive, parked behind all the others. Chapman sat there a moment, feeling the pull of power wanting her to head towards the back. Figures it'd be him. Damn it.

With a sigh, she climbed out of the car and made her way towards the lupanar, sticking to the very back, leaning against a tree. She didn't know these people. Well, she knew Vinny and Lexi and Loke. But not as well as she would have liked. If she could only remember. He named them to positions of power of some sort within the pack. Maybe like, leiutenants or something. She didn't know.

That dull ache that had settled into her chest a few nights ago had yet to subside, and she didn't think it would anytime soon. She stuck to the darkness of the shadows, even though her wolf wanted to bound up to him, to all of them, and join. But she didn't allow it. She didn't want to give the creature false hopes. After his announcement was done, and it was asked for challenges, she figured it must be the end of the meeting. Ash was so powerful, she knew no one dared challenge any decision he made. It was the smart thing to do. Not that she would have over this anyway. She didn't know what was going on, and thought it was neat that the trio got some sort of title now.

Without a word, she turned away to leave, wanting to distance herself from them. Besides, she was parked behind everyone, and she needed to leave first if anyone planned on being able to get out of the driveway.

Silent had been away far to long...So when she felt that power wrap around her it left her breathless and sagging against the doorway....Dear god...It felt so...She didnt have words for it...But the moment she was able to regain her stature she left the asylum...Ran towards the vineyard...Home.

Why she kept busy with the renovations of a building she didnt know. She liked it the way it was. Her thoughts ran more random then normal but still the focused more on the call that came..The swamp wolf withing singing its silent song as bare feet hit the out skirts of the vineyard...

Did she notice she had run barefoot? No...She just needed to heed the call. Tri colored hues would move over Ash as she approached...Taking a her place at his side. He had said she was lupa still..A small kiss pressed against his temple as she took in his scent..

" Im sorry I should of been here sooner"

Catching that scent of a...Shaking her head...It must still be part of memphis or Ash now. Or anywhere that is home.

Would she aurgue the new positions given? No.

" I welcome them as Skoll to my ulfric and Hati . And Loke as our Bolverk."

As others gathered Silent would smile...Almost over excited at the announcement of Lexie and Loke's place in the pack. After the announcements were made a kiss to each of the females cheeks would be given. Of course this would happen when the time was right. A hug given to Vinny...She missed them all...And being around so many of the pack Silent came to one option..To stay away from the Asylum.,,And with the pack..Maybe pin Sevie down to get some answers to why she constantly smelt a certain song bird.

Loke had run into Ash early in the morning, it was the only time they really ran into each other.  When he was brewing his coffee and she was prepairing her tea.  She had nodded to him when he spoke of the Lupunar, butterflies tingling in her belly for a moment before she simply shook the feeling off.  Normally, she might not have emerged from her bedroom so early but the dreams or nightmares rarely let her sleep past dawn.  With the understanding of the meeting later she had stuck around the house.  Prepairing breakfast for those that would want it.  A pound of bacon, two dozen sausage patties as well as a huge bowl full of scrambled eggs.  She left those for the pack  that would wake later.

When the time came she was spilling over paperwork, her laptop and arguing quite loudly over her cellphone with Anthony about some random thing that her new attorney didn't like.  She had promptly hung up on him and left her things scattered about her bed like some kind of messy teenager before heading out of the house following the pull of the beast.  Although before she did, she found Winter and Gina, making sure the two new bears where comfortable going out to the grounds.

Once there she settled quietly, offering a small smile to those that followed suit and came to the gathering.  Once all were gathered she focused on the Ulfric, listening to him speak.  She had soley under estimated him and didn't give him enough credit in the past.  She knew once she said that when she had spoken to him, it changed.  Perhaps it was the jaded past that was finally shrugged off or the veil peeled away so she could see clearly but either way she looked at him differently now.

When he spoke her name she took a breath and approached Lexie's side.  Those amber eyes turned to look outward at the pack as she took her position, accepting it.  Silently she hoped the pack would not challange for any position, hurting a fellow pack member always sucked but she was just that dominant to have to accept the challange if it came.

That black bitch was contained as during all the excitement she was eager to reach out to each pack member, wolf, bear and fox a like and smother it in licks, nuzzles and rubbings.   When Silent approached her, she offered a most sincere smile.  Where at one time the two females would have gladly torn each other's throats out, there was now an understanding.  And Even ground.  To his credit, Ash was the only man, the only wolf, the only Lukoi that could bring two people that hated each other so much together and somehow bind them together in a pack under his rule.  He was a credit to the name Ulfric.

-They had all been together so long. This traveling crazy circus of animals. It really did feel llike family thanks to the one who brought them all together. As Vinny stood among the pack he didn't feel stiffled or ashamed of what he was. These were the only people he could feel fully himself around. So much had changed since Salem. Good and bad, and they had survived it. That was a testament on its own.-

-Wind licked at the length of his hair and the full grown beard that hung down his chin, but no cold could touch him. His hand was safe and warm in Elenas and nothing else mattered. All around was family and he took a moment to glance at the two new bears curiously before Ashs voice caught his attention again.-

-When Elena was called away he gave her hand a squeeze and watched her go to take her place beside Memphis. Proud of her in a way he couldn't quite define. His now empty hand moved to his other arm, idly rubbing up and down the length of the colorfully tattooed skin. Then Ash called him forward and he went to take his place as Skoll. The place his mentor Cypress had once held. Missing her all the way, but he understood that sometimes love can motivate you to do strange things. And if there was ever someone who had loved their Ulfric and would have died for him it was that dark china doll. Vinny only hoped he could do half the job she would have done with the position.-

-Lexie came to join him and it was a surprise, but a good one. At once he reached out for her taking her hand in his. Fox and bear standing beside one another to protect a wolf king. It was an odd combo. But it represented this family well. Vinny gave Lexies hand a reassuring squeeze. He hoped these changes would help heal the once wounded souls in the pack.-

-As he stood awaiting any challenge his beast was as relaxed as ever. A large slumbering bear that had no worry over the strain of life. Deep chocolate brown eyes looked out from under thick brows and went to their vargamore in the trees. He watched her commune with what couldn't be seen and felt honored that she was with them. It was an honor to have one of such power to aid the pack.-

-Just before it was over he caught sight of Llidya making an escape. Leaning in he gave Ash and Lexie a hug, a pointed look to Elena as he mumbled gratitude and apologies in his own quiet hearty manner. Then before he could be caught or missed he moved off after the red headed wolf. Vinny didn't catch her till they were in the parking lot. Hands dug deep into the pockets of his jeans as he caught up to her, face hidden mainly by the length of his hair. He wasn't a flashy man, not handsome, no poetic words, but he knew she was important.-

"Hey. I don't know what I really have a right to say here, but you look like prey about to run for it. I know stuff gets tough. Especially with what you have going on but this, these people, all of it." He was losing track of what he wanted to say. "Don't run out before you give it a chance. I've done alot of running and hiding, but there's peace here if you want it Llid."

-And that was it. Something simple and he hoped she knew there were people in the pack she could go to besides just Ash. A hand left his pocket and he gave her a clap on the shoulder that was just a bit too bearlike not to be more of a knock than a pat. Then he went back to join his family for the celebration. So much to celebrate and so little time.-

Gina had just gotten home with a arm load of a box so when Chapman walking in she ran to catch up and caught the door before it was closing. There was something going on for the air felt concentrated. Instead of taking care of the box, she immediately sat it down by the doorway along with her purse and keys and followed the red head outside. Looking around and kept walking till she caught sight of Winter, Lacey and oooo! another Bear. This one was male and also power swam around him. Stopping beside Winter, she took her hand within her own to let her know she was there. Gina was oblivious to pack ways and positions. So when those were announced, no she was not going to contest it. She just smiled and felt honored to be part of this.

It was unique and one that she was going to adjust to. In her previous sloth, they were not allied with the wolf pack. In fact the Ulfric there dispised her Bear King. So this union of wolf-bear and fox was different. An awesome difference. When everything broke up and people started back towards the house, she hugged Winter. Nuzzled Lacey and blinked at Vinny, the new male bear who was now a huge intrigue to her. She knew he was the pack's Skoll and that the position was important to the Ulfric but she wanted to meet him only watched as he darted after that red headed she-wolf she followed out here. There will be a next time.

For now she was too excited, scents were being placed with a face that went to them. Making the lazy sloth within yawn and watch with sleepy eyes.

Winter felt something.  She wasn't sure what it was she felt, but the pull was there.  It was warm, tugging and urging.  Nothing like the alpha of the sloth, he was colder, more calculating.  Curious as to what it was, she let her beast guide her to the circle where several were already waiting.

Brown eyes full of wonder, she pulled the strawberry toned hair back, peach colored skin slowing with the nights power, her bear already pacing.  When Gina showed up and hugged her, she kept close to the bear, having bonded with her, becoming fast friends.  When the Ulfric spoke, she intently listened, eyes pausing on the male bear, taking him in.  This was the first she had seen him and was intrigued.  She had smelled his scent on Leni, but had no face to put it too.  Now she did.

Lips licked as she shifted her weight, looking around to everyone, her bear laying down for the moment, but on alert in more ways than one, her skin crawling with so many emotions, she felt like she was going to burst!

That jet black wolf was practically prancing around with glee. It had long ago learned to love and welcome the call of its Ulfric. Her Ulfric. And she knew that this Lupanar would be important. Important, because it was the first in this strange new life, and the first without some of those whom she had come to love admire, even if she had never been verbally clear about that. And the first time there would be changes to the hierarchy since she had returned to her family all those months ago.

On the way to the Lupanar, her wolf tagged along behind its bear counterpart, just as she walked hand in hand with Vinny. It was such a funny pairing, but she couldn't imagine being with a better man. And her wolf, though it would never be a bear, had come to love the big lug all the same. Just as Elena dearly loved the man.

When Ash called both herself and Memphis to his side, she took the place she had grown accustomed to .. but more importantly, the place that she would always feel so honored to have. And when he called Vinny to his new place as Skoll, she felt a burst of love and pride from within. There were things she may never have been able to put into words, but one look of those vivid blue-greens (now more green than blue) into his warm eyes .. and she swore everything she didn't know how to say was there. She could feel it.

And as proud as she was of her bear, she was equally proud .. and honored, to be there for Lexie to be called as Hati. It was true, she and the fox didn't know each other all that well, but Elena understood .. Lexie was loyal. True. And fox or no, just as the bears were now, she was family. She thought Ash couldn't have made a better choice.

And Loke. Was there ever a wolf who was a bigger enigma than this she-wolf? Perhaps Tony, but .. to Leni's dismay, she saw Tony nowhere. Her heart ached for the man, and she knew she would have to talk to his master one of these days. His Tino. But that was neither here nor there now. No, now was about family, and though she ached to know Tony had yet to find his home with them, she readily embraced Loke as Bolverk to the pack. It was a position she could see the other wolf being excellent at. Leaning in, she offered greetings to Loke, as she had to Ash, Silent, her dark, broody best friend .. Memphis, Vinny, and Lexie .. first and foremost.

Looking out over the rest of her family, she felt a quiet calm move through her. Her wolf was at peace, just as she .. and for once, everything in the world felt .. okay. Awaiting to see if any pack member would challenge Ash's wishes, she flashed back to the day he had called her to be his Geri. Lips curved slightly at the memory .. not because Lyric  had chosen to challenge her, specifically, but because it was .. a good way to remember the snow white wolf. Strong. Bold. And yes, misguided at the time, but. It was shortly after that that she had really started to admire her lost friend. She could only hope that wherever Lyric was right now, she was home.

When she spotted Vinny taking off after Llidya, she gave him a brief nod. There was no one less imposing than he .. and she knew he would try to talk to the red-headed shewolf. But she made a mental note to reach out to Llid ... from what she had seen so far, she was going to like the woman.

After a moment or two, Elena flicked a glance around to the rest of her family. With her wolf's energy thrumming at a low relaxation, she felt the corners of her mouth curve up. Home. And that was the greatest feeling in the world.

Home. Yes, Lyric was home. Home was where Ash was, and home was where the pack was. Looking at all of them she shared the same memory Elena did. This of course from Lyric's point of view. No challenges of yet. There wouldn't be one. Lyric knew. She watched Llydia take for the parking lot and later Vinny after her.The crow circling the moon and down to Severance. Lyric's scent was in the air. Dancing with the breeze just a faint whiff of that cedar and pine needle. Nothing to alert the media about. Just there, like a subtle reminder she was with them.

Her eyes fell then to Severance. The thought and the notion of something came to Lyric. From the tree branch she had used as her perch to now standing next to Sevvy. It was a ghost thing. Had to be. Being one place then another the next second. Traveling through time and space.

"Ah think ya can hear me Sevvy. Tell them Ah'ma proud of them. That Ah'ma always around. Please tell Memphis Ah love him, and miss him and Ash."

And just like that she was gone. Gone for now at least.

-In typical Ryver fashion he had put a note on Malcolms dresser that morning asking him to give Ryver a ride at a certain time that day. Didn't say to where or why just to please be there. Spending most of his days working in a lab on robotics projects he hadn't really gotten a chance to get to know the pack except retroactively. And after the disaster on the journey to Rome he was pretty certain they were all more than happy to keep away from him.-

-Things had gotten strange since then. His mind had been sending him some mixed up signals. Like he had been sure they would be seeing Emmet, but that hadn't manifested. Other smaller things like that happened. But this day he was right. Malcolm picked him up on time and Ryver directed him to drive towards the lupanar. They were already on their way when the Ulfrics power began the call.-

-Once they joined the group at the lupanar Ryver was bubbling with excitement. His eyes were all for the man in charge. There was no one he admired more than the Ulfric. Well okay. Steven Hawkings, Captain Kirk, his brother, but the Ulfric was right in there with the biggies. This man had given them a home and whoever he trusted to lead them would be trusted in Ryvers book as well.-

-Moving through the crowd he went to stand near Lacey. He couldn't remember much of the past. Couldn't even barely remember them meeting in the bar before, but just as he had that first night he remembered them being friends in the future so that dictated his actions in the present. Standing beside the she bear he left room for Malcolm to stand between them which was perhaps also something he remembered.-

-Watching the ceremony he felt pride to be there, and when they were finished he went to say his hellos and greet and chat with those he remembered knowing some day. Really, to think about it too much would just get confusing. Turning to Malcolm he looked up at his brother and grinned.-

"Maybe some day they'll name you Surgeon General."

Malcolm awoke to find the note, finding it strange, but he was perfectly happy to acquiesce to his request. Even without further information on the where or why. But he'd gone to the local hospital, and moved some appointments around. He'd gotten on at the local medical facility. It had been easy enough. Any person with a bloody ounce of intelligence in their mind would hire on the Doctor at the paltry salary he asked for. He didn't require much, as he didn't have a house payment, or a family to raise. Well, he had Ryver, but he had a job at the robotics firm.

He was still very worried about his brother, having no further insight to his actions while they had been traveling with the CORE blokes. It was something that still plagued him.

At the appointed time, he'd picked Ryver from the Robotics firm and followed his directions, realizing he was taking them to the pack house. Only when he felt the call of the Ulfric did he understand, and he wondered at how his brother could know such things. Neither of them had been present at the pack house much as of late. But they were both workaholics of sorts, no one's fault but their own.

He moved to stand next to Ryver and Lacey as his brother had indicated, feeling a bit nervous to be standing so close to the female bear. He smiled at the whole ordeal, rather happy with Ash's choices, even if he didn't know the others as well as he should, he was shamed to admit. But that could be remedied easily enough. At his brother's comment, he lifted a hand to run it through his spiky brown hair.

"Well Ryver he doesn't have that much influence...oh. Oh right, yes, very funny." He started off serious before realizing his brother was just jesting him. He smiled uncertainly, glad that Ryver had a sense of humor still. Even after all that he'd been through. Which Malcolm didn't quite know, but could only imagine.

-: Memphis was a wreck. Since coming to Rome he just couldn't seem to get his feet under him again. Couldn't seem to find a reason to be around or to care about much of anything. Life sucks and then you die had been his M.O. lately. As he sat at the bar pouring one shot after another of bourbon he didn't even chat with the bartender. No more margaritas, no colorful Hawaiian shirts. These days it was just blue jeans and undershirts and less than that if he was at the house.:-

-:When the call from Ash came it struck a chord in him that made him want to fight. Oh he'd been doing plenty of that to. Back alley brawls behind the bar and plenty of busted lips going all around. He handed out knuckle sandwiches as easy these days as he used to buy rounds for people before. It had just been so long since he'd felt his beast called. It was good and bad all at once.:-

-:Getting up from the bar he grabbed his jean jacket and clambered out the door with the bartender yelling at him in Italian that he forgot to pay the tab, but Harry didn't give a shit. Climbing into the old clunker of a taxi he drove to the pack house and went around back to the lupanar just like all the rest but his heart just wasn't in it.:-

-:When he was called to stand beside Ash his eyes met the other mans and there was deep sadness in those white blue husky eyes. Then something strange happened. As he stood there beside his Ulfric, face grizzly with lack of a shave, and clothes slovenly from acting a bum, he looked out at the faces of the pack. It was like suddenly remembering how to breath. Wasn't that everything was suddenly better. Hell, nothing was better. But the pack was still here, and if he had to live for something he could live for that.:-

-:Listening to the announcements he couldn't agree more. Loke had done more than show her worth and Lexie was so much a part of the pack she might as well sniff butts with the rest of the dogs. Watching the happy faces he almost felt like chewing on a cigar and making 'ritas like in the old days. Stuff would get better. Time would move along. He hoped.:-

While the others moved about after the announcement. Greeted and introduced themselves. Silent would do the same..That scent still lingering in her mind. She felt the same way she had the night at the bar...And well this time she couldnt blame it on Azrael...But as soon as it had been here..It was gone.

Leaving those tri colored hues to move to Memphis. God every bit of her wanted to run to him hold him..Put her hands on him and heal his broken heart...She would glance to Ash a moment...Bitting her lip...Fingers would reach out and curl around his. God she missed him...Every part of her missed him.

When he was away...She had convinced herself that it was only the beast within that loved him...And not herself...But that was a lie. Why would she hurt so much if it was.Her thumb would brush over tattooed hands.

" We should...Do something...Soon. Maybe you could come see my new project?"

She couldnt keep that glimmer of hope from her eyes. She woundered if he noticed the pile of blankets on the balcony outside the master bedroom..If he remembered that time almost over two years ago when a cocky she wolf had camped out on his pourch till he let her in. That she was doing the same thing again..Only instead of wanting to be let into the pack..She was wanting back into him.

"Im gonna check on Memphis"

Memphis...She had never once called him Harry in all the the time she knew him. It always seem to fit. Leaving Ash she went towards the Freki. She moved a bit slower..As if approaching a injured animal. She missed the smiles and the smell of cigar smoke that lingered on him. She missed the color and everything that was the ol taxicab driver.

"Hey Memphis."

She would brush her cheek against his.

" We've missed you around here."

Llidya had nearly made it to her car when someone's voice stopped her.

She turned to face him as he began to speak, her lips in a thin line. He was right, really. She probably did look like prey about to run for it. It wasn't that she felt that way, it was just she didn't feel she belonged. She didn't know what a Freki and a Skoll were. But she had to remind herself that that didn't matter really. She'd been invited. Well. Sort of. More like called. Don't run before you give it a chance.

She opened her mouth to say she had, but that would have been a lie. She closed her lips again, and near stumbled when Vinny 'patted' her on the shoulder. She watched him walk off, and turned back to her car, fishing out her keys.

She'd given it a chance. No. She hadn't. She'd given Ash a chance, but not the idea of a family as a whole. Just because he rejected her didn't mean everyone else would...

She climbed into her car, cranking up the engine. As a matter of fact, so far as she could remember, everyone seemed really nice to her. It was something to contemplate as she drove back to her place.

The days had gone by so quick since the move to Rome, everything was old and at the same time new. New place, new people but all th rest was old like the family that he had found in the pack, of course he missed his real family like his sister Mahina but he chose to leave with the pack because this is where he belonged.

He would always follow the pack that opened their doors and hearts to him, the one he left back in Cali would be close to his heart always but the Crimson  Snow Pack is the big family he wanted to have.

The call came to him while laying in his bed just thinking about how things were going here in Rome, he'd been looking for a position on the police force but  his transfer forms were not yet approved so until then he would be at the packhouse layzing about.

Angel felt the pull to the lupanar like it was a lifeline he had to obey.It was Ash calling and he would go anywhere the man told him but on top of that Ash was his king, his Ulfric. Angel would follow Ash into the depths of hell if needed anything for Ash.

Angel reached the grounds observing the surroundings always and Wolfie alert to everything around in this and the other plane. The others were slowly gathering , listening to the announcements of positions coming out of the Ulfric's mouth.

"Is there any who would challenge these stations?"

Challenge only if he wanted to leave the pack would he challenge anyone of them. Angel loved all if them like family why go and do something stupid like challenge is kin.

As the meeting was coming to an end Angel caught sight of Chapman make a quick getaway. Angel had never had much contact with the Red-headed shewolf, just the first time they met and other times round' the house in Hawaii and not much after. Best give her her space and let her fight her demons.

Angel would head back to the house and send Mahina an email to see how his La' was doing and tell her of the pack and its changes.

The phone slipped from her hand to clatter along the floor at her feet and for a moment Lace felt a bit confused at the angry string of words that had just been dealt to her by her younger brother.  Why did he seek to punish her for something that wasn't her fault and why even though it wasn't her fault did it seem like it was?.. Perhaps she shouldn't have bothered to call to wish him a happy birthday but he was family and she knew no matter how he treated or viewed her she could do no other then check on him and continue to love him. The sound of Roger clearing his throat over the phone had Lacy looking back down to her phone and for a moment she thought of stepping on the annoying little contraption though in the end satisfied herself with giving it a light push with her foot and watched as it slid along the floor to be hidden beneath her bed.

The air suddenly grew thick with power and the bear within came alert at once, her hands moved to press against the mattress a moment before then up she pushed her feet carrying her over to the window. Fingers touched to the cold glass of the window as the bear tilted it's head to peer out into the darkness and then the call in her head had her turning and heading for the stairs two at a time. There was only one with such a power, a demanding one that spoke volumes and when it was delivered among it's people it expected immediate obedience.

Lace caught the scent of one of the newer bears named Gina and would have pulled her along but it seemed the younger bear had already beat her to the punch and was already up and moving in the direction of their Ulfric's call,
It didn't take her long to reach the new grounds of what was suppose to be their Lupanar circle. Gifts that were bestowed upon her by maker were used and with the speed and agility she was able to make a quick pace making sure to keep mainly to the shadows and to crane her body around fallen tree stumps and so on. Definitely would not do for human eyes to see .. though in this time and age it didn't seem to matter being that they were often classified as the monsters living among the monsters.

At first she thought she made it there last but a few more family members were seen entering at the same time so the bear sighed softly with relief because she would have felt pretty bad to not have heard the call sooner due to her being in a argument with her younger brother. Bad enough it seemed that she was on a few shit lists so being late to something of utmost importance would no doubt knock her back down a few more paces. Determined like always Lace held her head high and took to standing back behind a few of the wolves and the two newer bears Gina and Winter.

Leaning forward she would gently lay a hand on the shoulders of Winter and Gina offering the girls a friendly squeeze before then stepping back to better keep a eye on things from the back. When Ash gave off the new titles for those that earned them Lace smiled to herself because like the rest so far she agreed whole heartedly with it all. It was nice to see everyone happy and at peace with themselves ..well, almost everyone was.. When it came to Memphis however he looked hurt and even though he tried to relax it was pretty obvious with the look that seemed to forever haunt his eyes. Poor guy, first Dakota then Lyric.. Hell no wonder he spent most times kissing the end of a bottle.

Next she took notice of Vinny who was no doubt a man in love, it was strange how it had bothered her at one point in her life but in the end of it all she was very happy for him and Leni. Both were amazing people to know and a even better family to have. Her lips curved into a smile and she pointed to the two new bears and offered a thumbs up. A nod as well as a smile in Leni's direction as well as Silents before she felt the shift beside her and turned to see one she hadn't seen in awhile.

Ryver was Malcolm's brother and she met him back at a bar. He had one of those personalities that one instantly liked. Not to mention he had this freaky yet interesting way of knowing things, she had wanted to ask but had decided to let it go. After all one didn't pry information from ones they considered friends did they?.. She couldn't speak for others but she didn't and the fact that he seemed to want to be friends was a gift enough for her. A nod was given to him but she made sure to keep her attention on Ash. Someone brushed her arm when they took a place at her side between her and Ryver and instantly she knew it to be Malcolm.

Unlike Ryver she did know Malcolm maybe not to much but what she had learned she liked and the way he tripped over himself at times due to his shyness made him all to cute in her book. Could not help but smile when Ryver teased his brother and then came one of Malcolm's usual habits of running a hand through his hair. Lace could not help herself especially cause she sensed the man's nervousness, so with a lean she reached out to catch the hand that he hand running in his hair. A gentle squeeze was given to it before she dropped his hand and gave a teasing wink and whispered very softly..

" Hair is perfect, don't worry you look rather fetching Surgeon General "..
Eyes then moved from the duo back to Ash in time to see him wrapping things up..

She had known that eventually Ash would call them all together. He had said as much when he asked her to fill the position of Hati. Until then, however, she had been making plans. Her talk with Ash had made her seriously consider his suggestion. And wasn’t Ginny always begging her to visit? Yes, it was a good idea to take a short holiday. But not just yet. She wanted to wait until after Ash made his announcements, until after she had either been challenged or accepted as Hati.

Despite the mundane form of communication – a message in her voicemail – it wasn’t until she felt Ash’s power calling from the Lupanar that she left the house. Lips quirked slightly as she stepped into that place of power, the familiar tingle rushing up her spine.

It wasn’t long before she stepped to Vinny’s side. The warmth and reassuring squeeze of his hand around hers brought a smile to her lips. An image of a grizzly bear and her vixen standing shoulder to.. er.. elbow flitted through her mind making her lips twitch with the urge to laugh. It really was a strange pair of bodyguards they’d make.

When Loke joined them, she brushed her fingers on the shewolf’s arm before turning her attention to Ash. Then she looked out at the others of the pack. As her gaze moved over each face, she found only acceptance. Tension drained from her slowly, letting her breathe easier with the knowledge that she was not going to be challenged. She should have known better, but when you’ve never held a high position amongst those not of the same animal, you can’t blame her for being wound up.

Smiles, hugs, cheek rubs. It felt good to have everyone together, the energies mixing and flowing. She basked in the feeling, her furry counterpart moving amongst the other beasts in the metaphysical plane. Later she would finalize her plans for that short holiday to London.
