Loke stood just outside of the large Villa that was now serving as the Pack house as she watched the two crews of movers expertly carrying things into the house. It wasn't that she really had to watch, but she did have to direct them as to which room got which belongings. Not only that but the fact Michael was chattering away in her ear as she directed the movers, that wasn't very helpful. However with her gallery now in cinders, or rather not there at all anymore she had to finish the Insurance paperwork and have it in ASAP. Nothing like making money from a disaster.
It was only after the Movers left that she was able to fix the house as it should be. Of course, this was much easier simply lifting the beds and couches herself to set them as she thought they should be. Already a few of her own paintings decorated the walls, to give them a homey feel.
Michael had stated he had a contact en-route to the local firm that was a foreign partner that could stand in as a translator as well as a business link. Okay so Rome wasn't that bad but it wasn't home yet. No not yet. It wasn't home till the Ulfric came back. Settling down into one of the couches she drew her face close to the cushions taking in the many scents on them. Faces flickered across her mind, faces to go along with the scents. A heafy sigh rolled from her lips before she pushed herself up to go change. She had too much to do to be sitting around depressed, grumpy.
Silent would of never thought a year ago...Or hell even a month ago she would of ever forged any kind of bond with Loke...Hell if anyone would of mentioned her name around her, Silent would punch them and remind them never to say that name around her again. Especially after the mess she made in New Orleans and the shambles she had left each of the towns she went to...That silent soon followed her into.. But here she was almost full with pride at the idea that she could call Loke her sister in pack...
It was a scary thought actually. But after all the bitch wolf had done for the pack she loved so much. She couldn't help but find a new respect for Loke. But at the same time it wasn't like Loke was on Silent's speed dail to gush about issues or lets go shopping trips. It would be a while before they would be at that level of friendship.
Shaking her head she would lean against the door way watching Loke for a moment before she knocked on the door. Silent had some ideas. A big idea for the Asylum. And Loke was one of the few people who knew of her club in decay...And well...Loke needed space...And well with the size of the asylum Silent was really starting to think that she should of taken Tony's idea of making it the pack house to heart...Oh well...She loved the Vineyard...And it was what the pack needed. If anything she could always build small apartments for the pack later at the asylum.
"Hey Loke. Wanna take a ride with me? I have something to show you."
Loke glanced up at the knock, kind of feeling a little silly for sniffing at the couch cushions. She had thought she was alone. She straightened and blinked at Silent before cocking her head to the side.
"Sure, I guess. Although, I need to stop somewhere in town to locate the local attorney my old firm is linking me too so I can get some things settled. But yeah, that would be fine."
In the back of her mind, she wondered if she would end up tied up in a ditch or with her brains splattered out excution style although the greeting from when the pack had first arrived had been warm it could have been a slip on Silent's part. It was true the two never saw eye to eye and who knew if they ever would. Loke didn't look at the world the same as other people, didn't see things as they did. At least not in her younger years, 31 was plenty old to start settling down and be content. Although she would have preferred it to be in the states but here was good enough. The pack was here, and the pride she had in this pack and the love she felt for them, reguardless of how they saw her, still reigned her head and heart above all.
"Lemme just go grab my extra phone battery off the charger and a jacket."
