::Another hotel. It had taken the rats a week or so from London to Rome. Mostly because Barbie didn't want to go without shopping in London then France and finally here in Rome, they would have a new home. "I don't think Home's a place anymore. I think it's a state of mind." She would say to herself mostly. It was just another hotel for the time being. Shocking blue eyes were set in determination. They will have a proper home by the time Marcus and Evie came back.
Heels stabbed the carpet underneath. Those very same blues inspecting the room. It was beautiful, one of the best ones money could buy. It was just not really home, home. Not the way Salem had been. Worse, her very best shopping partner was gone. Barbie missed the Leopard Queen and Brady. He was such the handsome man. A depressed sigh would pass through shimmering pink cotton candy flavored lips. More depressing was that Dade and Tommy and Sera were all gone too.
Squaring her shoulders, shaking off the sad thoughts. This will be Home. Barbie was already a one woman wrecking ball. Having made calls, and a few contacts that Marcus provided, Milo's shop was already being set up. Shakti's store front as well. Barbie had a few appointments to look at houses. A flick of her wrist to check the time. The difference from America to Europe was so grand. It didn't hit a person at first till, they stopped and really looked.
One can't just do nothing all day. With a sway of her hips and purpose in her steps she was starting to unpack as much as she could before they had to just pack it all up again to have shipped to their new home. It had to have a pool, that was a must and enough rooms incase more rats came to join them. In all honesty Barbie slightly dreaded more rats. She had grown so attached to Tommy and Shakes it was hard to think they were gone. They were just in California, she knew. Yet the thought of Tommy's sweetness and little shy smiles and the fact they weren't going to be there any longer. Or the way Shakes could ramble on so perfectly with his just fabulous sense of style, gone. It did very much bring a heavy weight in Barbie's heart.
Karma and Knox were there, setting up their own room which was adjoined to Milo's and her own. That was something Barbie nearly demanded. They had to have joined rooms at all times. It was a motherly issue. She was scared to have the only two other rats gone. Hanging her clothes she let her mind wonder to new experiences. She could finally practice her Italian, and not just with Marcus. Shakti and she could set up the new shop together and set on the task to decorate the new rat home. Life wasn't going to be so bad. She had to think positive. The Rodere could take a trip to see the Vatican, and a few museums, and even get some neat masks from Venice. The shopping in Milan was going to be a treat.
Milo's trunks were left on the bed so they could go swimming tonight. Maybe get into a little trouble in the Jacuzzi. Speaking of the devil. Sparkling blue eyes fell on that devilishly handsome man she was married to. All those tattoos covering that six foot something height. Heels rushed to wrap arms around his shoulders. Lips collided with his mouth seeking the burn of his lip ring and the roughness that just came with Milo. He was more than a tall drink of water. The man was her everything. New York City sewer rat attacked her mate with nibbles and clawed hands till they were just a ball of gray and black fur.::
