The flight was booked for Paris, their first stop on the list of places, to not settle but to get a feel for Europe. Flights made the tigress anxious or restless. Being enclosed with a bunch of strangers let alone surrounded by metal and low circulation of air was not one of Gillian's favorite means of transportation. The check in at the Terminal went smoothly, all luggage was checked in and tagged and now the foursome waited patiently at the Gate area. Flight was on time so no delays.
The Brothers went to explore the gift shop while Gill settled in next to Adam with her head resting on his shoulder. There was no fear in traveling to a new location, for Gill it was the deep comfort in going with the Man (tiger) she loved. Her hand drifted over towards his lap only to find his own and intwind their fingers. The feel of his peaceful warmth was the very breath of serenity she needed. But all the normancy she was feeling was about to take a turn......
Cellphone rings, Gillian was planning on to ignore it until the Caller ID showed the number that only belonged to someone that she had not heard from in over a year, Mother Owens.
" 'Ello?" " 'Ello Gillian dear have I caught you at a bad time?" "Mum? No....You haven't." "Gillian, I apologize for the lack in communicating with you until now. My stubbornness only gets the worse of me and there is no excuse for it. I feel horrible how things are between us, if only I could go back in time...." "Mum, it's fine. I have accepted that long ago. No need to apologize for I have no hard feelings towards you at all." [silence with a bit of sniffling] "Mum? Mum, is everything ok or did I lose you?" "Gillian......I don't know how to tell you this and I don't even know how to begin or where you even are..." "Mum, what's wrong?" "Can you come home? It's your Father, he's....he's real sick.....can you please come home?"
The question her Mother asked bared alot of weight to her words. For years the distance between Gillian and her Father grew. No matter what accomplishments or success Gillian had, it wasn't good enough. The more time Gillian spent tried to apease a Man who cared less, the more upsetting Gillian got. The day she left home to go and live with the Horde was the day she swore she would never set foot in that place again. Times change and people in fact do. She has grown in the last 4 years more importantly, she is not the same girl that left. Her hand squeezed Adam's as her eyes stared into his own. She would have to ask but first she needed to tell her Mum.
"I will make arrangements once I have things booked, I will call you."
No I love you, that was not the relationship she has with her. Call was ended and Blackberry storm was placed in her lap. She shifted to turn and face Adam, the love of her life.
"Darling, could we possibly change our destination to London instead? I am needed at home. Seems my Father has grown ill. If you wish not to go with me, I can always book another flight once we arrive in Paris."
She wants him to go with her. Hoping he will say yes. To help her, to be her support in whatever she will be up against. And just be there. Meanwhile, as Gillian's Mother ended the call her eyes drifted up to stare at the Man standing in her Kitchen...Gabriel's. "I did what you asked, I got her to come home on a fake reasoning so now what? What's going to happen once she gets here and sees her Father just fine?" She stood, clearly worried and upset to even phantom what this man is capable of she underestimated the Man. Gabriel was capable of almost anything. A wicked lopsided grin reached his mouth. This woman was the most nerve racking, nagging, annoying old hag he has ever crossed paths with, the front door opened and Davin placed his briefcase down to call out to his wife, Gabriel clasped his hand over her mouth, "shhhhh....I swear if you scream or say a word, I'll rip your bloody heart out." Clearly she was frightened and stopped herself from calling out to her Husband only Gabriel was quick to running out of the kitchen and the last few seconds slowed down. Blinking as she was paralyzed in her tracks to finally move out and to the front hallway to scream. Thick pool of blood, a motionless body that remained of her dead husband and a wicked laughing male above him staring at her with inhuman paws with claws. "I told you I would take care of it. I love Gillian and no one, not even you, will stop me from having her."
-:With Gillian seated beside him and the brothers close he felt content. No evident restlessness about the journey ahead and where it might take them. His beast was serene as ever with its little feline family around. The only thing he regretted was that Jake wasn't with them. The golden retreiver had to be left with Miss Flowers in Salem, Massachusettes until they found a home. It just wasn't right to crate a dog around on a journey like this. When they found a place of their own he knew Jake would come with them.:-
-:Gillians soft scent was a comfort and he was only too happy to sit in the seat at the terminal with her head leaning against his shoulder. Her warmth around him as her hand held his. When her phone rang he straightened, letting her sit up to answer it. With lycan senses he could hear the woman on the other end and a melancholy smile touched his lips. Family could be difficult. He gave her hand a careful squeeze as she finished up the conversation. When the question came he nodded and stood from him seat, leaning down to place a soft kiss on her head.:-
"London is as good as Paris I suppose. It's a place to start looking at least."
-:They were searching for a Khan, or possibly a functional Horde so anyplace was just as good as another. Adam and the boys would accompany Gillian on her journey home.:-
"You stay here and wait for the brothers and I'll get our tickets changed."
-:As his hand slipped from hers he missed the feel of her touch.:-
There was a soft smile that crept along Gillian's face when Adam said yes to London. Truly the Man was exactly what Gill needed in her life, and a calmness washed over just in knowing that she could encounter the storm with him at her side. His fingers left hers and suddenly there was a void and a longing to feel his touch again. Watching him depart in the direction of the airline booth, she turned the other direction to see the Brothers at the gift shop still and the chime of her cellphone brought her out of her daze.....it was Mother once again.
"Hello again Mum, getting our tickets changed as we speak so no need to worry." [sniffling and a soft sobbing] "Mum? Mum are you okay?" [no words just sniffling] "Mum? Did something hap--" "Your Fath....father is de....dead" [a minute or two of silence] "I will get there as soon as I can Mum" "I ha..have so mu...much to do." "Mum it's ok, I will get there as soon as I can. Just rest Mum to keep your strength up. Eat something. Just breathe." "How did you get to be so smart?" I grew up Mum. I listen and pay attention to those that need support and help in certain circumstances. I need to get going to make sure our affairs are in order before arriving in London so in the meantime eat and rest Mum and before you know it, we will be there. See you soon."
Letting her say goodbye, Gill hung up. The terminal was spinning so it was a good thing she was sitting down. Storm was placed in her lap as she was pinching the bridge of her nose. Dad was dead and she was uncertain how to feel about that. In her eyes, her Father was dead when she left home 4 years ago. But now he truly was dead and memories were flooding towards her all at once. She didn't want to think of it being her in her Mother's shoes and the one dead was.....no! Not a good image nor was it something she ever wanted to think about. Fingers combed through her bangs to open her eyes and drift them over to where Adam was standing, the stewartess helping him needed to be faster, she needed him near her, even her tiger paced in that phantom place. Something felt wrong within her Mother's voice as she heard ringing in her head over and over telling her that Dad is dead. And it wasn't long before Adam and the brothers came back and they were going to be boarding the plane within the hour. Heading down to their Gate, Gillian was deathly quiet and the moment he came to her did she seek his hand. Needing his comfort more then ever and to just feel his warmth and scent mixed with her own. Hour went by slow and she lost herself in the drone of the brothers talking once boarding the plane, the brothers took their seats and Gillian slid in and waited for Adam to take his before she told him of her Father's death. Saddness formed in her eyes but no tears for the one that was first to disown her for what she became careerwise and monster wise. Head went back to rest on his shoulder and silence shrouded over her once again. Just needing to get there, get this over with and move on to the next city so they can find a home.

Within Lilly's home one would never know a murder took place. One of Gabriel's intrusted buddies was a leopardman and dirty cop so a cleaner was brought in, someone he knew and throughly cleaned the place of any blood. Gabriel's plan was set in motion. Took some threats to the old woman to get her to talk of when Gillian was going to arrive. Little did Gillian know this was a trap, little did Gillian know how twisted he has become in the past year and a half. Half crazed and half obsessed with the need and drive to get Gillian back. And form the Horde once again and have it be like it was in the good ole days. He sat there in the darkness of the room and wished Christopher was around, he would have been good bait to lure her with at the airport. Soft laughter was coming from the other room as the few that were Horde were talking. Slowly Gabriel stood from the chair as it creaked in protest, air around him crackled as he looked in the room he saw the blood eyes of Salem immediately give his attention. He was dark-skinned with tatted stripes to his skin of his beast he carried, dreads, leather pants, a brown suede jacket left unbutton and shirtless. He also held a rich deep voice. Az stopped in mid-sentence to turn and face Gabriel. He was staring to him with soft husky blue eyes that was more beast then human. Skin was pure white, dressed in black leather pants and a random rock band shirt with sleeves ripped off, his height of his was tall over 7 foot. Well behind the couch and sitting in a soft chair was Kyle; Black hair long to his waist, muscular and the quiet one of the bunch. His voice is at a whisper level when he does use it due abuse he suffered from a Master vampire. Vocal cords were closely severed but repaired only his voice never came back 100%. Eyes the color of coffee blazingly watched as Gabriel ordered that him and Salem head out for the Airport. Instructed them to see that Gillian gets to her Hotel accomodations, follow her to her Mother's and that they will be notified with further instructions. Kyle asked about those she could be traveling with and Gabriel's only concern was just her for now, they would deal with that when they have confirmation she was traveling not alone.
