-:Inside he felt cold. The burns were almost all healed but he didn't know if his heart ever would. It had been a bitch of a year. Memphis called every member of the pack and asked them to meet him at the packhouse to tell them what was going on. Ash had ordered him to get them off the island, but the order had come just a day to late. Now Lyric was dead. His heart had already been broken when Dakota left, now with the death of the packs songbird it was shattered. Memphis was convinced that the island was cursed. With the pack seated around him in the lliving room he made the Ulfrics announcement.:-

"The island is under attack, and our Ulfric has ordered a full evacuation. Loke and I will be leaving with whatever pack wants to resettle with us and Ash will join us there."

He wasn't sure how true that statement was. Ash intended to join them but nothing was certain.

"If you want to stay with the pack then be ready to leave by noon tomorrow. If you want to go somewhere else let Loke and I know. We'll get you a plane ticket and see you off before we go. There's no time to waste."

-:He couldn't fill them in on what the exact danger was because even after facing it down he had no idea. Goddes, demon, vampire. He wasn't qualified to say. All he knew was it wouldn't stop until the island was destroyed. Memphis would get the information from everyone so he and Loke could make arrangements for their departure. He only knew London was off the list of places to go. And while gone he would pray for those who stayed behind.:-

Loke had not left the pack house since they had returned.  Offering what consolation she could to those that would accept it.  The pack was in mourning and while one could expect that, they had to get out of dodge.  Loke nodded to Memphis' edict.

"I need names, of those you want sent away.  Money isn't an issue right now.  You give me names and places people need to go and we'll make sure they are safe.   My attorney has a Jet on reserve ready to go when ever we need it.  Take what ever you need, pack up what you don't need.  I've got two shipping containers at the ship yard ready to haul our stuff where ever we need to go.  Remember home can be rebuilt."

It hurt to leave her home but at least her family was already safe, now it was time for pack.  Lyric's family was already scheduled to leave.  It was one of the first things she made sure was done.  The least she could do to her fallen pack mate.

Unity was wrapped around his body. The blondie was so sweet it turned Cliff's heart. He had said his good-byes for Lyric. Taking her within him. The call came when he was watching Unity dress in one of her cute outfits she loved so much. Even if Blondie never knew Lyric, the thought of a pack's death hit her hard. Cliff carried Unity down stairs to join everyone.

"Thanks Loke, but Unity and I are gonna head back to Cali. We love you all. Our home is in the states. Thanks for the offer. We'll be leaving tomorrow."

Unwrapping herself from Cliff's warm body. Lyric was gone. Unity never knew the woman. She had come to the islands little more than a month ago. Never expected to stay this long. The seals were all counted for and the mating season was over. She stayed more for Shaggy than anything else. Hearing him talk to the man Memphis who was Freki Unity ducked her head a little more. The death of a pack member was so sad. Even if she never knew her. Still was so sad. Everyone crying and so somber. Unity started to get dressed only to be carried down by Cliff when they were having the pack meeting.

She stood by what Shaggy said. It was true. Her Dad's were there in the states and she didn't want to be far from them. She would always feel some sort of love for this pack. Mostly through Cliff because he was here longer. Holding Shaggy's hand they headed back upstairs to pack their things. She'd call the office in California again and try to get Cliff some sort of job till he found an opening at the Nintendo beta testing center.

They would be on their way back in the morning.

The glass fell from her hand while her heart caught in her throat ,those eyes of the rising tide grew wide and for the life of her she couldn't breath none the less move. Cold was the touch of death that now trailed up to brush teasing fingers along the back of her neck. One of the pack had passed over and it was one that she felt all the way to her soul. She hadn't been with the Crimson Snow for very long but with what little time she had spent here she had grown close to the snow white wolf. Struggling with a calm she didn't feel she had her lips trembled before the name caressed the air around her.

"Lyric?"..

No,... She couldn't be dead?..could she?.. Seven cried out in the distance followed by a few mournful howls only helped to verify the fact that it was so very frightfully true.  Wind brushed through a open window in the kitchen throwing the curtains around before then grazing the necromancer's cheek.. It held the tormenting laugh of the grim reaper, followed by a familiar image of the wolf behind the veil. Severance moved toward the door as the wind made it's way back out. Words whispered from the munin of the departed pack member and the crow Seven whom was a messenger of the dead encircled the empty space before Severance where she had visually seen Lyrics face as the departed woman waved. Sevvy reached out a hand to place it a inch from Lyrics and then to Sevvy's dismay Lyric shifted into that of a wolf and faded off the last lingering noises had been the distant howl of the snow wolf followed by the tearful cry of the Vargamor.

She wanted to mourn the loss of Lyric more but it seemed it would have to wait since they were all about to relocate and though the death of the pack member brought them all great sorrow they all needed to hold it together and see to the safely of the rest of the pack. Now here she was seated with the rest of them listening carefully to Harry's instructions which were orders straight from the Ulfric himself. It seemed it was question of whom would stay and who would go, now she felt a moment of uncertainty due to wether she would go or stay. Ash had called her out her because they had needed a Vargamor, especially after Dakota had fled leaving her family behind. She was only suppose to be a filler until they found someone more permanent for the position. A brief memory of the phone called she had received from Ash played over in her mind which in turned followed by a tear drop that leaked from the corner of her right eye.. How could she ever leave them?. Love in which she hadn't expected had taken root in her heart and she knew now with every beat of her heart that she was meant to stand with them.

It wasn't hard to decide that she would go with them, the hard part was leaving Ash behind not wishing for him to have to fight alone. Wanting revenge for the un justice that was done to Lyric and wanting to prevent whatever this thing was from going after them once they left the Islands shores. It was a tough call indeed but Severance belived in her friend, in her Ulfric so she would go on with the pack as a Vargamor should unless he ordered her differently. Her lids fell for a moment as she took a deep breath to help shake of the emotions that rose high with in and once she knew for certain that she held them all in check she rose from her seat and moved to take a seat between Harry and Loke. The loss and stress she felt radiated off of them called to a part of her and the Vargamore with in heeded that called and sought to comfort so hands reached out to gently encircle the hands of Harry and Loke. Both of their hands were offered reassuring squeezes followed by a nod of her head. Eyes held her affection for them and then she didn't hesitate to say..

" I am with you my pack till the end of time, so count me in."

Elena felt .. cold. She could feel the cool walls slide into place, a buffer for the pain that sliced through her mind with the knowledge of Lyric's death and Memphis' burns. She thought back to the time she and Lyric had never gotten along. Precious time that could never be taken back, precious time that now, could never be made up. And though the comfort of knowing Lyric would always be with them, in spirit, helped to ease some of the pain, it did little beyond that. Like dulling the edge of a blade .. and sometimes, that was much worse.

She raised bright greens, as eerie as a cat's green, upwards towards Memphis, arms wrapped around herself, though the outer calm remaining in tact. She thought of her options. To go with Memphis and Loke or .. well. Leaving the pack, that wasn't an option. They were her home, her family, and she would do whatever she could, whatever was needed, to protect them.

Except leave Ash behind. It wasn't that she thought she was above Ash's request to have everyone evacuate the island. But Elena could feel the tug of will and right and .. both of those led in the direction of staying behind. With Ash. She stood from her sitting position and shifted so that she was somewhat closer to Memphis. Reaching out, fingers brushed lightly against his shoulder. "Over the last few months .. I've come to trust my heart. Even when it feels as though it is going to be torn completely in two, as it almost is. And right now, my heart is telling me to stay. Here. Behind, with Ash." The words were spoken quietly as she wrestled with herself, internally. "And do whatever I can .. to see that everyone gets out safely."

Neither did she know of what particular dangers loomed ahead. But she was going to trust her instincts. Trust her heart. And just hope it wasn't for the last time.

Silent would move beside Leni leaning into her...Tri colored hues watching each of the pack as they gathered...Silent had already decided that she wasnt going anywhere..Back before she knew what the hell they were dealing with...And in all actuality..She still had no fucking clue. Long tattooed arms curled around Leni's waist.

Sure Silent had distanced herself from the female...But it wouldnt ever happen again. She had distanced herself from most of the pack..And she watched them all gather..So sad..All feeling the loss of the songbird..Silent herself still ached.Chewing on her lip Silent glanced over at Memphis..Such a heavy load he was taking..She wanted to do nothing more then help ease his load...But she couldnt do it.

The wolf within would never let her. And neighter would she allow herself to. Arms would tighten around Leni's waist.

"I'll be staying behind as well. Like I said before..I wount leave without our Ulfric. I cant leave Ash."

Though she had already packed her things and gave them to Lacey to take with her..Silent would get them if she made it off the island...If not there was instructions on what to do with her things.

Everything of her was gone. Surfboards, linens, clothes, spirit. Mahina cleared everything out to keep her mind off currently what took place. That is until she realized her room was empty and just how empty she felt in the inside that the hawaiian broke down. She felt solely responsible for Lyric's death, for Memphis's injuries. Had she not been a pain in the ass, prehaps he wouldn't have gotten hurt and Lyric would still be alive. No matter what anyone told her, she felt completely ashamed.

Dark circles and swollen red eyes adventure within the room Memphis was resting. No words were spoken just her sniffle here and wipe of her hand there. Unable to contain her emotions, the one who hates with a passion to cry. "I'm.....sor.....sorry." She should have known better then to disappoint her Freki. Fingers grazed the back of his blackened hand. Leaving his side and the scent of her as a reminder she was there. As she headed downstairs, Unity and Cliff were witnessed departing. Hurt yes still but life goes on. Her steps stopped in front of Loke, Leni and Sevvy. Hugging her sisters the pain filled her eyes and she sobbed stepping back. "I'll...I'll....nev....never for...forget eith.....either of...of yo...you."

She couldn't bear to face Ash or her best friend and Lupa Silent. It was not out of disrespect just the pain was too much. Each would find in their suitcases a small rectangle jewelry box and what was within each were picked with a great deal of thought. For Ash on a black leather cord dangled a enameled red heart, to never forget, in pewter a head of a wolf, to never forget his strength, and a small charm of a bird enameled in a mocha brown color to symbolize the songbird. For Silent on a dark red leather cord a enameled black wolf's head, to never forget strength, a yellow pineapple, to remember her redemption, an enameled small rainbow, to never forget her style and colored personality and a red gemed heart pray box that opens so she could say what she wanted and locked it away. Each were given a note explaining each charm. Each were told that she was getting off the island just not going with them.

Mahina's life and wellbeing was with Hawaii. Though the time she has spent with the Pack was one she will never forget. Never forget all Ashes has done for her. Never forget her brothers and sisters. Never forget the love and bond she shared with the Lupa, Silent. Backpack was placed over her shoulder and she moved out the front door. Once partly down the driveway Mahina turned, to take one last look to her home. Once tears started again she continued to move until the familiar white Limo was waiting at the end of the driveway. The pain of everything was way too much. Climbing in, Keanu slipped in and drove them to the airport, where was she going? To Maui for the funerals then it was healing.

This was hell, or at least something very near it. She could well believe that God would give them a place that seemed a paradise and then rip it away with fire and pain. No wonder she'd always thought He was a bloody wanker. Then to take the songbird from them, that was just a twisting of the knife. And the burns on Memphis, the dual pain he must be in.. Yes, it was either God being a wanker or Old Nick had decided to have a go at them.

So Lexi moved up away from the wall she'd been leaning against, keeping her emotions in check behind those thick walls. "It won't take more than an hour for me to pack the things I'll need right away. Everything I want from my house is packed up and waiting. I'll give you the key and address," an inclination of her head toward Loke, "as well as the key to my auto." A pause to look at those who had not yet spoken. "If anyone needs help in packing, just ask, eh?"

She headed for the stairs to finish her packing so that she would be ready to leave with the others come noon. A detour was made to give a brief touch to Sil's shoulder and Memphis' hand, a nod for Loke and Severance. "Where the pack goes, so do I."

Then she was heading up the stairs to take care of the things in her room.

-:Those that weren't coming he would hug briefly. There would be time for regrets and missing them later. For now he knew there was much to be done. Elena staying didn't surprise him, and when it came to Silent he stayed like her name. Silent. Pain burned worse than Peles fire. Watching Lexie he nodded to her. The fox was reclusive but had always been a loyal and strong member of the pack. Memphis let the rest of the pack make their decisons.:-

-Vinny felt torn. After all, Elena and Ash would be staying, but Ash had given orders for the pack to go. Stay or go. He was stuck. The woman he loved or the family he needed. The bear sat on one of the chairs with his fingers brushing routinely through his shortened beard. It had been cut down until it was barely more then an inch of fuzz on his chin. Lip was bit as he let his eyes meet Memphis's.-

"I'll help you all get ready to go. But I'll be staying here."

-He said it with a resigned sigh. Leni staying meant he was staying. Even if he didn't agree with it. Ash could take care of himself, and when it came down to it the man wouldn't want company anyway he knew. But they would be there.  Whether they were wanted or not. Stubborn woman. Too bad he couldn't stay away. Leaning back against the chair his eyes closed a minute then got up and moved off to follow Lexie upstairs. Vinny could help the others pack. And secretly he would go to the room he and Elena used to share to pack a small secret bag with essentials. Something he'd keep close at hand wherever they were in case they needed to take off.-

Apparently she had just missed Silent over at Bliss so not wishing to waste another minute  she laid her foot hard down onto the accelerator putting the petal to the metal or so to speak. A few curses rang out from fellow drivers and one guy even threw her the birdie. Shaking her head she yanked the steering wheel hard to the left and headed on toward the pack house like a bat out of hell. The car met with a rough stop but none of it seemed to register with Lace as she tossed the door aside and ran, not bothering to stop till she pushed into the room and nearly ran into both Silent and Elena. Closing the distance fully she touched a hand to Silent's shoulder and then one to Leni's as well. Both of them were offered a soft sad smile before her attention turned towards Memphis. The wolf was asking for those who wanted to leave with the pack to step forward to give their names to Loke. She listened quietly to the voices around her, first Elena spoke up then it varied back and fourth between Lexi, Vinny and Severance.

Her mind had already been made up before she got to the house. Call it a woman's intuition but Lace had seen this coming especially with all the mayhem and bodies been thrown here and there. All that carnage and the end of the Island type stuff usually put a damper on any plans to build one's own house and live happily ever after. A promise made to herself and one she intended on keeping, she looked to Silent. Interesting thing this was the two hadn't come to know each other on friendly terms and now here they were pack mates but even stranger then that they were friends. And Leni, she glanced to the wolf on her other side. She had liked her on their first meeting and hoped to remain friends with her, and Vinny... Well it was nice to have another bear and drinking buddy around and Lace looked forward to remaining friends .

All of them were special to her and would remain dear in her heart no matter what the future held for them. Silent And Leni voiced they were staying so Lace looked to Memphis and offered a shrug of her shoulders..

" I am staying and fighting to keep both our Ulfric and Silent safe. We all will see you guys on the other side so make sure to pick out a nice spot"..

Ash was a feral prescence in the shadows as he listened to Memphis trying to do as he had asked. The Freki was earning his strips this time around. Inside Ash his blood boiled with that rage that was always pent up just beneath the surface. Apparently danger on the island meant a free for all where suddenly his word as Ulfric was reduced to nothing. Disapproval lined his features as his generous lips formed a downward crescent, and the dark passenger laughed in the back of his mind. It had been strangely consoling to know that the pack would be gone, and that he would be able to hunt as himself one last time. But apparently no one listened to him anymore.

Ash moved from the shadows, announced first by the scent of the Highlands that carried with his beast. Though now his midnight consort was locked behind shields as shiny silver and dangerous as the man himself. Power pulsed around him like something barely contained, his movements a whisper of violence restrained. He walked the course of the room until he stood beside the much larger man who was his right hand. Eyes like blue fire looked at the ones who stood defiantly in the face of the order to evacuate and he frowned.

"If you stay you desert your pack. If you stay, you are no longer one of us. You disobey your Ulfric and challenge me. I will take that challenge seriously from anyone who offers it, though I hope none of you makes me."

His voice was cold, the accent a crisp remainder from his homeland. No emotion leaked into the words, but his eyes were alive with the desire to fight. Hard to say just then whether he would really be sorry if he had to take the challenge from any of them. The scorn on his face was intentional as he looked first to Lacey and then Elena.

"You should both be ashamed. There are younger pack, less strong than you who could use your help and guidance. Yet you choose to stay. That isn't loyalty. That is some foolish pride telling you that you know better than I do when I tell you to go. If you stay as you say to fight Lacey, then I will be the first one you fight. I will knock you out and throw you over Memphis's shoulder so he can get you on a plane and drop you off far from whereever the pack ends up. Because even that would be a blessing compared to what this island would do to you. And you Elena. You say it's your loyalty to me that keeps you here? What is loyalty if you spit in my face, refuse my orders, and force the choice to stay on a man who loves you. That isn't loyalty, that is pride. Your pride blinds you to the greater good for this pack. I am Ulfric here am I not? Either I am and you listen to me, or I am not your Ulfric which gives you no reason to stay and sate your pathetic need to help when all you can do is stay behind to die."

Cruelty edged his words, but he didn't care in that moment. Didn't care if what he said hurt them, as long as they listened to him. There was no bluff in him, no dishonesty. Each muscle in his body was loose and alive and ready for the challenge to be called. Ash felt Memphis take a step away from him, giving him room. Obviously the Freki could feel the intense vibrations coming from the Ulfric, like a wavering note off a struck bow. Ash would do whatever was necessary to get them all off the island, even if it meant packing them up himself and dropping them off in the middle of butt fuck Egypt.

Vinny he didn't speak to, because he knew that if it weren't for Elena then Vinny would listen to him. And he didn't speak to Silent because he already had evacuation plans for the Lupa. It was part of why he needed Lacey and Elena to go with the pck and help them.

"You will both go with Memphis. You will go with your pack, or you will go without them. Either way though. You will go."

His words at the end held a growl, shining white teeth showing between the edges of his full lips. It had been one hell of a week alright. All he wanted now was to know they were safe and gone. Then he could escape to that place inside him that was dead. The place where nothing touched him, and no one existed besides his dark passenger. They would be free together one last time. It was all he wanted. Then he could die a happy man, or find a way to live again. He had to walk through the fire to cleanse his soul. To purge the demons that this island had placed on him.

And so he waited for them to make a move.

A small frown had formed at the courner of her lips, half hidden by the fact her head was partially turned from the pack.  A little shake of her head was given, barily seen as she glanced around the room trying to visualize just how many boxes and or packing crates she would need to get the house broken down in just 24 hours.  They had a total of 36 hours before the jet had to return to her legal team.

Head turned as Ash made himself known, a hand rose up and rubbed up and down her arms for a moment.  Amber eyes watched him as he spoke and she had to drop her eyes.  In her gut she knew something like this might happen.  Pack never wanted to leave, to be seperated from there Ulfric.  They want to fight, they want to stand beside the Ulfric and show there true power.

When silence decended, the faint buzz of her phone at her hip caused her to look down at it before  glancing back up at Memphis and Ash.

"I know this isn't the best time, but we need a location.  Someplace, so I know where to get the shipping containers sent to. "

" I am staying and fighting to keep both our Ulfric and Silent safe. We all will see you guys on the other side so make sure to pick out a nice spot"..

Her own words that came back to slap her across the face when Ash stepped into the room obviously not happy with her or Elena. The power radiated off of him in waves causing her skin to crawl. Simply put the male was a force of hell to be reckoned with. Her intentions were never to dessert the pack though it came out that way and no doubt she could see why now that she reflected on it. In her ignorance she had upset him by disobeying a direct order, he had wanted them gone for good reason and she had chosen to stay. Her reason alone didn't hold light over the pack because what the Ulfric said was law and when he spoke you either obeyed or rose to challenge him. She didn't wish the latter of those choices, he had given her a family and she had wanted to repay him by standing beside him and helping but now realized the real error in that choice. He was a strong leader and didn't need nor wanted their help. Gone from the Island was her only option to do differently would be to further disrespect him.

The look he gave her spoke volumes and she belived in that moment that he'd gladly rip her apart, no remorse what's  so ever if she died. Ashamed didn't even describe the depth at how she felt due to her idiotic behavior. She didn't glance toward Elena or Silent she kept her gaze focused on Ash though it was fixed on his chest soon after having seen the malice boiling behind those rather intense eyes of his. The last thing she needed was for it to look as if she were challenging him by meeting his gaze dead on. Foolish she had been with her earlier words of saying behind but she'd be damned if she make the same mistake twice. She waited til she knew for certain that he was done speaking before she chose to address him.

" Forgive my foolishness Ash, It won't happen again."

A glance toward Memphis.. " Put my name on the list" then a look back to Ash.. " I am staying with my pack my place is where should always be beside them..May I leave now to go upstairs and help aid in the packing? "

Pain shadowed her eyes but it only lasted a minute or two before it switched to determination. She held to her place not daring to move until he allowed it and was through with talking with them. Her hands hung loose at her sides she looked to the ground as she remained quiet allowing Elena a turn to speak her decision to the Ulfric.

He did want them with him. There was a part deep inside that always wanted the warmth of the pack beside him. Now though what he wanted even more was for them to live. To live and thrive and go on with their lives. To love one another and see the rising of a new dawn (snicker). The hurt in Laceys eyes was registered, but he couldn't back down now or show any sign that it mattered to him. Let them hate him, or fear him. Let them run from him if they must. But by God above let them all live. It was a silent mantra in his heart.

"Barcelona. Severence and I have family of sorts there that will help with paperwork on such short notice. Let Severence get the CORE involved. From Spain, go where you want. Find a home to fit the pack, and I will find you."

The CORE protecting a pack of refugee werewolves. Wouldn't that be just dandy. Never di he think those two worlds of his would fully collide, yet here they went. Bam! A nod was given letting Lacey go to help the pack in whatever way that she could. Then stoic features turned back to Elena.

She had never intended on Vinny insisting on staying where she was. For as much as she loved him, he had made his positions on them clear, at least as far as the Toni situation had gone. That he would stay, because of her, reminded her of why she could love him that much.

In any case, she didn't have more than a moment to consider her bear's decision before Ash appeared. She could feel the rage on him, in him, and though she should have guessed it would be something like this, it still knocked the breath out of her, as did his words. Words that were far more than just unkind. Cruel. It was a good way to put it. With eerie greens focusing on him, she lifted her chin, just slightly. It wasn't so much a challenging move as it was her mentally staggering back from the onslaught of words he used. She was sure Lacey was just as taken aback as she, but she could do little else but keep her eyes on the Ulfric. Her Ulfric. A man she'd once loathed, one who'd become as much a part of her as Vinny or Silent or Toni or even Lyric, and it was a good pausing moment she needed before even considering what her response would be. It was probably a good thing Lacey answered first, though she kept eyes on Ash even as the female bear's words filled her ears.

Finally, glancing down only briefly, she kept her expression carefully masked, painstakingly hiding the raw emotion that threatened to make itself known. Ash would be able to feel it no matter what, but that didn't mean he had to see the weakness, the heartbreak she felt in his verbal attack. A physical slap would have hurt less. Quietly, so very quietly, she lifted her eyes towards him, though never a direct stare. This wasn't defiance. At least, the defiance was unintentional. But when had Ash, or Memphis, or Vinny or any of the pack .. excepting maybe those who remembered Salem .. known her to keep her mouth shut or tuck tail and run.

"You have only to read me, have only to look into my eyes .. to know that there is no pride there. I let go of all of my pride when I came back to you." She looked away for a moment before returning her gaze to him. "And I am not anxious to die or act foolishly. So help me, God, I have so much to live for. I know that. So when I say .. that I want to stay by your side until the end, it is not so I can prove my worth, but so that yourealize yours."

Taking another breath, shoulders rose and fell in the barest of shrugs. "If you believe me .. to be that disloyal, to have no reason beyond simple pride for wanting to protect my family, which happens to include you, then I am ashamed, for there must be something, somewhere along the way that I have done to cause you to believe it."

Again, there was a shrug, a simple meeting of the eyes before they averted slightly in a show of respect. "If I go, I am disloyal to all that I believe in, all that I have learned, all that you have taught me, excepting the following of your word. And if I stay, you repudiate me as no better than a traitor. So choose, Ash. Do I stay or do I go? Tell me, because everything I thought I knew until this moment was that you never leave someone behind. General, King, Ulfric, never. So tell me what to do. Because I would rather die than cause you any more shame than I apparently already have." She had amazed herself .. not once had she raised her voice, or turned it into an angry battle.

And that's where she left it. Hurt, but still standing. She knew his points about the rest of the pack weren't invalid, but then .. there were several pack members strong enough that were taking the ones leaving. She couldn't deny the direct act of defiance against his orders, but then. He'd thrown disloyal in there, and it cut to the core. So, because he wanted to act alone, because it was either traitor or leave, she would let him tell her what to do. It was her way of coming just short of offering her neck to him. This was one answer she would not defy him on, and that was the honest truth. She had made her case, had explained her reasons. And if he still wanted her to go, she would be damned if she challenged his word.

Ash moved to stand in front of Elena, so close that the front of their bodies nearly touched. Leaning in his voice was a whisper for her ears only. His tone softened somewhat so that none other would hear the words that he spoke. There was something broken in those words, something most never got to hear from the man behind the black death mask. It was the words of someone new to the idea of love, someone not yet accustomed to thinking of anything but violence and death.

"Go with them Elena. They are the one thing truly good I have done in my life. In the swath of death and destruction I've left in my wake through the years, this pack, this family, is the truest and purest thing I have ever done. It is my only act of creation. Let me go to fight knowing they are safe, knowing you are safe. If this is to be my last stand, then let me go meet the abyss knowing that the one thing I did truly well will sustain. Without you and Vincent there, the pack will be incomplete, and if something were to happen to me, they will need all of you to face the dawn. Please. Don't make me ask again."

There was a slight edge of pain lancing his words and when he pulled back to look at her he let her see the truth in his eyes. Death he could face, but the breaking of their family he could not. He had to know the pack was safe and together before he could do what needed to be done. This scourge had to be destroyed. The pack could run, but unless the darkness was pushed back it might chase them. That was who he was, he was the one who stalked the darkness. What he needed then more than any other time in his life was to know that this was one family that would not be taken from him. They had to be safe, whatever the cost. They had to be together or they would fall apart. His gaze spoke the truth that his angry tone had left out. He wanted them gone, because they carried with them a part of him that was better than the sum total of his life. He wanted them gone because through them he would live on even if Pele destroyed him. But most of all he needed them because if he failed then they would have to stand against the darkness for him, and they would need eachother for that. The Pack. The Crimson Snow. It had to live on.

When Ash moved to stand in front of her, the whisper had probably been the last thing she'd expected. But what she got from Ash .. was far more effective of an argument than calling her a traitor. But it broke her heart, hearing that broken tone in his voice, hearing the words that seemed more of a plea than anything else. And .. God knew she couldn't go back on her self-imposed word even if she'd wanted to. And she still did. She wanted Ash to not be alone, because he deserved so much more than fighting and surviving .. or dying .. without any pack to surround him.

But she'd promised herself not to go back on her word, no matter his reply. To do as he asked. And more than that, she saw a side of him she'd only caught mere glimpses of before. The look in his eyes was more than enough to break her heart, but .. also more than enough to get through to her, to reach her, and. After he'd stepped back, she let him see everything. The heartbreak of having to leave him behind, the absolute love she felt for him .. it wasn't the same as being in love with someone. It was that .. trust. Because, he had to know. He had to know, in case she didn't see him again.

Of course, as soon as she let him see that own side of her, one that few ever saw, she quickly reigned in the emotions and nodded slowly. Without thinking much about it, she reached behind her and unclasped the chain around her neck, slipping the silver cross from around it, and then took his hand, placing the cross in his palm. It wasn't that she thought he needed it particularly for the sake of using the cross. He probably had a million of them. It was partly because she couldn't bear to completely leave him, because it went against everything she knew, but also partly so he had something to remind him he was never alone, even when he thought he was.

"You can give it back to me when I see you again." Leaning in, she hugged him fiercely, but quickly, and shook her head as she pulled back, words slightly uneven as she watched him. "And don't think I won't, Ash Redfern. I will go down to the depths of hell and drag your ornery ass back here if you think you can get off that easy."

There. She would honor his request, because she knew what it was like to be that broken, to need to know the ones you loved were safe. She only prayed to God that if the time ever came, that she'd have the strength to stand up to whatever darkness he was willing to stand alone against. She didn't tell him she'd miss him; he already knew that. And to tell him she loved him and would pray for him .. well. He already knew that, too. She would pray every day that he came back safe and sound, because he was one of the good guys, and shouldn't the good guys always win? They had to.

There was a single tear that she'd allowed to slide down the side of her cheek, but she was straining to keep everything else in check as she nodded, a strong, affirmative nod, one more time. What else could she say? The tough words had been the right way to end her side of the conversation.

When was the last time she actually had a moment to take a shower? A hand rose up and rubbed over her face, most of the things within the pack house where already packed and set in neat piles of boxes and moving crates. The first shipment was already being sent down to the harbor where the shipping crates were waiting for them. The dealership had come and taken the Charger back since she had cancelled her lease with them. The phone at her hip buzzed and she couldn't help but want to groan out loud, but none the less she hit the talk button on the ear piece and took a breath.

"Lokelani." It was a simple answer, she knew it was probably Michael calling again to confirm information. Her guess was completely right as his rich voice rolled into her ear.
"Barcelona? What in gods name is making you go there?"

Amber gaze dropped back to her laptop which was set on the kitchen island. The constant information needed to be looked through so nothing, and no one was over looked. Fingertips flicked on the open button to her email account before sighing into the phone.
"It's a lay over for now.  All we need is to get the jet there and drop us off, the rest is being taken care of."

Her eyes flickered to the confirmation of the shipping yard as well as the movers.  Her mind kept going even as she spoke in a quiet voice to Michael.
"Loke, darling.  Your not getting in over your head are you?"

"Michael, you've known me for how long?  Do you really think I would run head long into something if I didn't know what I was getting myself into.  I told you when I bought the gallery that I'm in this for the long haul.  Where my pack goes, I go.  It's as simple as that."

There was silence on the other end for a long moment before she could hear him rustling papers about.  "Well, you know I'm just looking out for your best interest, honey.  Do what you have too.  You've got less then 26 hours to get out of there.  Will you and your "friends" be ready?"  She gave a nod into the phone knowing he couldn't see it before responding.
"We will be ready to leave in less then 24 hours.  It's just the last few things we are tying up here.  I'll call you a little later, I've got to finish getting the last of the crates ready for the last pick up."

He gave her a heartfelt goodbye before hanging up.  Standing silently in the empty kitchen, she rubbed her hands over her face for a moment just wanting to curl up and sleep somewhere.  Eyes refocused on the tasks at hand, mentally reminding herself to speak with Ash when she could get him alone.  The man was doing something, she as an ex-Ulfric would have done.  Sent the pack to safety and then stayed to defend till they could all get away safely.  She might have understood this better then all of them.

Malcolm heeded the call of the Freki, apparently being one of the last to arrive at the meeting, with River just behind of course. He'd been in surgery and only just got the message. He really had nothing of value to take with him, besides his mind and his brother, and they were both present and accounted for.

"We will join the pack, of course. Off to Barcelona is it? I hear it's quite lovely this time of year." He mentioned, River nodding in agreement with that dreamy look upon his face. They moved upstairs to help the pack gather their belongings and get ready for departure. It was a sudden change of location, but chaotic things were happening on the island, and it was understood.

Besides, he thought it a good idea to get back across the pond. River was held over there somewhere, and it was closer to home. Closer to finding answers as well.

=-New to the pack didn't matter. Ryver would follow his brother wherever he went. After all, Malcolm had to have someone to look after him. As they packed the things in their room Ryver left the heavy work to Malcolm. He knew Malcolm would do it best. It wasn't like Ryver hadn't seen this coming, and when Malcolm opened the closet he would find that Ryvers bag had already been packed. Sitting at the small desk he was scribbling something on a small piece of paper. Folding the paper he moved to slip it into the pocket of Malcolms jacket without his brother seeing it.-=

=-It was the phone number for their older brother who was on his own European journey. Ryver knew it would come in handy, and didn't want them to forget. Europe here they come.-=

Angel had been away for work again and oblivious to the events like always but he had been put up to date with everything that happened and the anger he felt for another pack member gone even if he never had much contact was there on the surface but he controlled it when he came into the living room to see the pack gathered.

What hurt him the most was to see Mahina walk out on the pack even if she was upset for what happen was no reason to leave him like she did without a word or glance nothing that was like a stab to the heart but he would forgive her because that was his blood but he would find a way of getting her back.

Angel watched at the event played out in front of him, just watching from a corner listening to the words spoken and the words said by Ash struck him harder then anything because he wanted to stay back for Mahina but above all to help his Ulfric fight the evil terrorizing the pack but to do so was against his orders

So Angel would bite his tongue and go with what Ash commanded for his word was law and he did not want to face him but as soon as things were setteled he would come back for his La' and hope for the best.

+ You can count me in, where ever my Ulfric commands I go+
