" Call to him Severance, make him your other half, call onto his soul and offer all that is yours to him. Your dark winged messenger of death"
" Why does he not come, I call and he ignores me brother." "Spill your blood for him, unite the heart. Give onto him all that is yours and he will offer no less"
Lost in a dream that seemed real but was it a dream or was it real? Could one bend reality in order to make it so?. Thoughts rose up only to be thrown down and around by a tidal wave of emotion. Severance lie asleep upon her bed and though the body grew still with the calling of sleep her mind was restless. Along with the thoughts the mind threw up images, one was of her back when she was a child before the power of the Reaper stole her away. Her brother was there while she sat on a swing, a smile for her on his lips while he pushed her. Beside them she could see Ash though at the time he was known to her by a different name and beside him there was Cassandra.
A kiss was blown to the two before laughter sweet as a bell rang fourth and the child leaned back allowing hair of black ash to sweep along the dirt ground. Not a care in the world, such simple times those were but if she was asked wether she could live like that again with the knowledge of what would come of what dark gift would be granted to her, would she try to alter her destiny?. Or embrace it with open arms?. Of course it was a trick question to her because even though her life was some what carefree there had been the slayings and so on and it seemed a part of her missing, a part so incomplete. The first time the death dealer visited her it took the form of a wolf a wolf whom had been a friend but was lost to them, that night she had been calling to him begging him to answer her prayers.
Who would have thought he would have answered. She turned along the bed with a low groan her eyes refused to open, sweat drizzled along her forehead and it seemed impossible to shake off the voice calling out to her. It was a dark voice that left her shivering , the hair along the back of her neck rose and she felt her hands squeeze against the bed sheets. Often the dead liked to play with her whenever she took to shutting them out to long and it seemed there was a bit animosity toward her for blocking them now. Her shield was up but it shook with each hit to it the pressure building was becoming to much, some of the dead were calm when it came to asking for help but others were impatient and would not stop until either the wall fell or the subject of the violence collapsed.
This one took it's hand at invading her dreams and finding whatever loop hole it could to project it out painfully toward her. Seven hopped anxiously along his perch wanting her to awaken but at the same time not sure how to accomplish such a task without hurting her. The cold power was thick upon the air and as it radiated off of the Vargamor it threated to choke whomever was within distance of it. Her body arched up and bent leaving her head pressed against her pillow. Sheets as well as blanket fell down to crumble along the ground, Seven went nuts! his feathers ruffling as he threw out large obsidian wings. His call was loud and hurried before he then threw himself off the perch taking to circling the air above the bed. Full lips fell in a soundless scream, cracks rose up on the wall pictured in her mind. She fought it not wishing to cave to it's dominant power, arms hung loose at her sides while she starting to chant something.
"Flashing before my eyes, death calls me to sleep
Gone from one world to venture to another
Being of unjust leave my side for I will not die.
Heart and soul of the crow I stand untied
I will not die I will survive so go and be gone
Fester back to your grave and call on me no more Susan."
A scream full of rebuke filled her mind and for a moment Sevvy had to brace herself against the impact against her shield. Mind and body now casting aside the spirit that had sought to over take her, it still amazed her how often they tried . Yet instead of running in fear of it she welcomed it with the knowledge that each fail became a gain of power in her. The woman who's name now rested on Sevvy's lips , Susan now charged at her in her mind a picture gave her a moment to see her human face before the woman fell to all fours and face extended into a muzzle.
She took the place of Severance's lost wolf and came at her in a dead run. Her heart suddenly accelerated and pain burned through out her. Susan/wolf opened it's jaw as it took to a leap and then down it hit her so hard that the body of Sevvy though asleep reacted.
A gurgle could be heard and with it blood oozed in two straight lines down both corners of her mouth. It dawned on Severance what was happening but her body reacted the way that any body would when it thought life to be over. The image flashed again with the wolf's jaw locked securely around Severance's neck. Her ocean blue's went wide as face paled like that of the snow, for a crashing moment her mind nearly sided with the body in believing the image had been real and that she was dieing. Her heard hammered and then slowed unbelievably slow.
The moment her heart stopped seven her companion slammed into her chest forcing her heart onwards, his nails piercing the skin which had her mind breaking from Susan's grasp and with the realization that she was still alive she yanked the wolf back in her mind's image and screamed out loud this time sound carried behind it. Her body rolled from the bed to hit the ground, her eyes fluttered before coming to an open, it was done Seven had helped her push away the threat that had almost over taken her. She turned to her stomach and hugged the floor, her face remained for the time being hidden in the carpet. Seven called out again, hand moved out to take purchase of a pillow in which she then smacked to the floor beside the bird. Her voice strained as she whispered to her friend trying to persuade him with a soft smile.
" Quiet Seven you will wake up the whole household!"
As if her scream hadn't already done the thing she scolded the crow for. That same pillow was now brought up to hug against her chest, hands squeezed until the knuckles turned white. She could feel the wetness gathering behind her eyelids threating to spill but she fought it lowering her gaze to look upon one of the rings that held to her pinkie finger. It had belonged to someone special someone who was more a sister then a friend at times.
" Help me be strong "
Her radio alarm then went off with lyrics that hit to close to home sometimes.
"Time Of Dying"
On the ground I lay Motionless in pain I can see my life flashing before my eyes Did I fall asleep? Is this all a dream Wake me up, I'm living a nightmare
I will not die (I will not die) I will survive
I will not die, I'll wait here for you I feel alive, when you're beside me I will not die, I'll wait here for you In my time of dying
On this bed I lay Losing everything I can see my life passing me by Was it all too much Or just not enough Wake me up, I'm living a nightmare
I will not die (I will not die) I will survive
I will not die, I'll wait here for you I feel alive, when you're beside me I will not die, I'll wait here for you In my time of dying
