Tamamusubi - Spirit Binding
Permalink Closed

Sage along with organic hemp, rosemary and opium burned in the incense bowl set in front of her folded body.   Sure she wasn't up to par yet, just having gotten out of the hospital for the wound at her side before she had headed toward Thirteen Moons.  Although Miyu was a challenger of power she was more capable, at least in her mind, to deal with Seven-Tails.  Shinto Priest and Priestess' had once bound the spirit with the help of the Shining Beast Court
into the statue.  If need be she would sacrifice herself to the calling and her duty.  Eyes sat closed as she let the drug take affect of her body.  It would numb it from the inside out, creating the perfect weapon for the other witches and Sera to build the power up in and then release it.

A binding was never as simple as it seemed, at least not how the manga or anime shows showed it.  It involved long hours of meditation and concentration on all parts.  Miyu had to slip into the dream like state to allow the other power to finally fill her.  Even then it would take time.   Hachi sat behind her, allowing his large back to be a comfort to the priestess, Already surrounding the statue which was shrouded in a white linen cloth.  This was to ensure that Seven Tails did not catch on to what Miyu was doing.  Barrier of all five elements were put up; salt and seaweed, dirt and grass, incense and charcoal and bird feathers and spider webs and finally Miyu with her wind finishing off the full circle of the barrier.  Water, Earth, Fire, Life and Wind.   It was her own religions beliefs that Life was a separate element.

Lips moved, soundlessly speaking the words over and over again as she struggled to make contact with the power that lay watching Seven Tails.  It wasn't something easy to do and Miyu had already been doing it for six hours.  Even though Miyu was part of the barrier the rice paper binding spell sat close at hand.  The slips of paper sat below the bowl of burning incense in front of her.  It was only when the power was at its peek could she use it.  The true name of Seven Tails written in Japanese Kanji symbols.  Separating herself and the witches was another circle of protection that was controlled mostly by the wind and Hachi who was simply an extension of her power.  White kimono was tucked into the hem of her red hakama tied tight.  Black hair was tied back into an intricate knot work that would keep her face free and her lips unhindered.

The witches and Sera would feel the sudden almost "audible" click as Miyu sagged faintly.  Hachi lifted his head at the witches those white blue intelligent eyes focused on them as the Shrine Dog nodded its head.   The connection was finally made and now it was down to the wire.  They had to do something before Seven Tails destroyed the whole of the world with it's power.
