"Miyazaki, my office now!"

Nori's left eye was still nearly swollen shut as the one good eye lifted to the open door to the computer tech room.  She had walked in that morning looking like she had tried to fight a UFC champion and got knocked around like a punching bag.  Pushing up out of the chair, booted feet carried her toward Novack's office.  Both eyes where bruised with the left nearly swollen shut, it had been before she had poured herself into her bed the night before.  Her lip was busted where teeth had been crushed against the lip.  Not only that she was walking heavily with a limp.  Booted foot kicked the door open more then what it already was before she stepped inside.    Novack, he was the head honcho of the HF division in the Islands.  A slick man, he looked the part of rat and weasel and lawyer.  A discpicable man.

"Close the door and sit down."

Nori reached out and snagged the door slamming it shut, more bothered with the fact he disturbed her from her search updates.  She didn't say anything just dropped unlady like into one of the plush chairs as she stared at him.  Leon was there, but she wasn't going to acknowledge him just yet.  His presense was cold, colder then her own.  Man just didn't sit right with her.  She didn't know how he could smile and look so damn good while being so evil.

"I'm not even going to comment on your attire today or the way you look.  What I called you in here for was to talk about our little contract.  You haven't been forfilling your end of the bargain.  We haven't had any killings or people we've been able to frame.  You just sit in your computer room and curse people out when they come looking for you.  We really need to rethink this bargain."

Nori stared at Novack as he spoke, the only reason he was talking so high and mighty was because Leon was there, backing him up.  Otherwise, just like always he would be buttering her up.  One booted foot came out and slammed down on the desk, followed by the other, crossing them.  Ignoring the fact her panty covered crotch was in full view of the two men.  She folded her arms across her chest.

"Maxine's Books, Knox, Sera"

Novack blinked at her not understanding what she was talking about.  He could put two and two together about the Book store but the other two names he was clueless about.  But of course before he could speak she went on.

"I took out the Book store and it's were bitch owner.  Me.  I planned it all.  The reason I didn't tell you was because your an asshole and I really don't fucking like you.  If I could gut you like a fish here without worrying about Leon popping my ass full of lead then I would."

Feet feel off the desk with a thud before she pushed herself up out of the seat and moved toward it.  Hands where set, fingers spread on the large month desk calender, blocking out days under them.

"Knox, were critter... and Sera, were sympathizer.  I found the names, I've been putting myself in the fire.  Me, Novack, Not you.  I have earned every penny I have sucked out of this fucking joke of a office.  You want more then that, then fucking get in line.  I'm working as fast as I can.  You think you can find something out about those two be my guest.  Now if you don't mind, I have searches to run and people to find."

The volume wasn't inescapably loud that he couldn't hear the voices that played out in the room, so he watched them both with guarded eyes at the exchange. When it was matters that didn't concern him directly he tended to tune them out with the electric guitar of whatever band he had favored at the time. Not that he favored any type of music over another, just loud drums and guitars helped blocked out the rest of the filth that wasn't his own thoughts. With a glance down to his hand he moved away from the window that he had be using to watch the incoming storm, to the black Ipod in his hand that he switched off and placed back into the denim jeans he decided to dawn on today.

"Silver, lead won't put one of those monsters down." He stated calmly moving to stand next to Novack's desk. He cast a glance down to the man after he had gotten done speaking to Nori in the strictly gruff business voice. And it would have been a stirring performance, had the man's voice matched up. It sounded strained as if speaking to Nori in that manner had been something it seldom did. Which lead him to believe that he was attempting to impress him, which failed to a great extent. But he remained silent on that for a moment before pulling out a blackberry from his pocket to jot down the names. Making a mental note to check the files later.

"But as a matter of choice, I called you here Nori." He dragged over a chair and sat down in front of her, his eyes sort of squinted as he spoke like he was looking into a bright light. He couldn't help it, whenever he got on a serious subject his eyes betrayed him in that sense. "However, we'll need to take care of some extra ears." The motion was flawless, as he drew the blue-black gun from brown leather side holder, squeezing off a round before Novack even got the chance to respond. The dart pierced into the man's chest a few centimeter's off of his heart. The thud that followed assured that they could talk freely until he decided to awaken the man. "This is a important deal I can't handle alone."

Dead eyes had fell on Leon as he moved away from the window and began to speak.  Hands lifted off Novack's desk as she took a step back and dropped back into the couch.  She didn't twitch a muscle while watching Leon.  He had mastered the art of smiling like a saint while loading you full of lethal bullets.  That spooked her for some reason.  The flash of the gun had her standing as if she would reach for the one hidding down the backside of her pants, although to her amazement it was not she who was his target.  Dead eyes settled on Novack's shocked face before he was drawn down into unconsiousness.

"You know, I really don't trust you.  In fact I trust you a lot less now after seeing that.  Who knows when I might be caught by the other end of that gun of yours."

Even if she didn't trust him, she did settle again in the chair.  Tongue toying with the swollen and bubbled lip that was both annoying and fun to fiddle with. She listened to him speak about something he needed help with, hands coming to fold across her boney knees.

"Alright, you have my curiousity.  What is it?"

If he had heard anything her not trusting him he had chosen to ignore it. Opting to stand again and move behind the man, to pull his head up, so his head just lulled around, swinging about peacefully. "Funny you should ask. Let me ask you, do you know what I do within Humans First?" He said making the alignment of Novack's tie and shirtline sync with the beltbuckle that held his pants up.*

"Probably not, because I'm good at it." He answered for her taking a step back to check his work before pushing the man's head back down on the table. And then began to straighten the man's desk, moving the pencils into a line, stacking his papers up, cleaning the coffee stain with a cleaning wipe he removed from his pocket. "I'm a sweeper, if there is a leak or a potential leak within a unit. I come to take care of it."  He was kneeling now so his eyes were level with the desk as he continued his war on dirt that was the man's desk.

"So when they called me over here, its because they felt someone was being a little too friendly with the creatures." He stood disposing of the wipe and taking out another one. and began to wipe the leather of the chair the "sleeping" Novack occupied. "And I hate human's who openly choose to show these...things...affection. I mean I love my cat, I'm not taking it out to dinner friday night." Another job well done, the desk and chair was free of filth.

"Do you know where the broom is?" The question was innocent and off handed but he waved his hand at it. "Nevermind, I'll come back another time and take care of it. How does a man live in this. No work can be done." He said glaring down at the hunk of flesh that was Novack. So he kicked him squarely in the ribs and onto the floor, taking the seat. "I was sent to kill you."

The expression was dead panned, and the smile was there even before the hand cannon was pointed at the woman. "Bang." The smile grew as he continued pointing at the woman. "Reach for that gun, and I'll fill you with more holes then a crack fiends arm." The smile was still gleaming, still haunting. "But that seems so out of place here. Killing you off like that, I mean the boy is going to die isn't he? I can saw it when you looked at him that day. My problem is, that doesn't seem to be getting the job done fast enough. So I need you help in getting a few of them secured. I want some test done."

"Like what happens when you blow a dog whistle at a werewolf? Can I get some feline wanna be high off cat nip? Do they give litters?" The smile dropped and his eyes chilled over. "How many lashes of a silver nirate coated whip before I can bring one of those fuckers to keel." He leaned back, still dead aim on her skull. "That's were you come in, I need assistance. I think you're the only other skill person here." He dropped his gun and slid it over to her. Not mentioning he had another one in his pocket aimed at her chest under the desk, for insurance of course. "Are you in?"

Fingers itched with a deadly need to draw down and shoot Leon even as he smiled that disturbing smile at her.  Dead eyes watched him carefully as he spoke, she didn't trust him at all now.  So they thought she was getting chummy with the freaks and monsters.  She leaned back in the chair once the gun was slid toward her on the desk.  Feet crossing over each other as she slumped low in the chair, elbows on the sides as her fingers laced in front of her stomach.  She really didn't fear death, she had seen it so many times in her time on tour.  When faced with it she reacted as she reacted to everything.  Absolute calm on the outside as those violent whispers inside grew louder and louder in her ears.

"What are you planning Leon?"

Nori wouldn't easy give over to the man in front of her.  After all she had her own plans.  Plans she had worked very hard to keep rolling.  He was throwing a chink into her perfectly working machine, but she was after all a resourceful woman and she could probably fix the machine even if she partnered with him.

"I know I'm the only other skilled person here.  Novack is useless, and the office jockies are even more worthless.  Although it's a surprize that Novack called you in, unless you come from headquaters in the states."

Native to Hawaii she considered the rest of the continental US, the states while this was her tropical paradise.  Fingers reached out and turned the gun on the desk to face him.  As if motioning it was his turn to spill.

"Who ever thinks I'm just cozing up to the were-fucks and freaks is out of there mind.  I just know how to use them and how to use the HF as a shield.  But I can't say that I'm not interested.."

"No, the watcher sent me a ring." He said reaching into his coat pocket to pull out a pack of newports, sliding one out and placing the pack on the table in offering. "What I'm planning? To do my job." Came his reply as he got out his silver zippo to spark up his cancer stick.

"But to be more clear, I want to study a few of them." A drag was taken and he felt more relaxed, more in control of that nagging voice in the back of his head. Such vile bags of exsistance, polluting the air with each breath that escaped their foul mouths. He would need to go to the shooting range later and release some tension until he got his next hit and then he could find more productive ways to use his bullets.

"Figure out what makes them tick, what they respond to and why." His eyes remained on the woman, keeping to himself that he wondered what made her tick as well. However he wasn't going to split her skull open to find that out, as he planned for his other...subjects. "If I can get into their heads better, I can just start wiping out the collective in one bang. Though the hunt of finding them one by one does have the added pleasure of letting those bastards wondering which one I'm going to take next."

"So I need someone with a head on their shoulders to provide another set of eyes and ears. That simple, you watch my back, I'll cover yours."

Feet stretched out in front of her as she watched him light up a smoke, suddenly craving one of her own cheap ass smokes.  Dead eyes watching the flicker of the flame as it singed the end of the stick.

"You do realize how much you are fucking up the plans I've been working on right?"

No reason not to admit that, he was fucking them up.  She wanted to plaster herself all over the posters and in the newspaper as HF so she could be virtually untouchable. Although she could still do whtat, there was a chance her other plots and plans might be ruined.   But in the end it was a sorta one sided deal, she really couldn't say no because they both were HF and had the same goal.  She just went about it differently.

Standing she glanced down at him and gave a nod.  "Fine, I'll work with you, but that doesn't mean I'm going to let you ruin my fun."
