Dina arrived at the not yet opened occult shop in the back of the Rolls Royce. She waved Jeffrey off as he was about to get out to open her door. She didn't need him to, and he knew that, but it was habit for him, she was sure. Dina stepped out of the car, and let him know he could leave, as she would give him a call if she needed a ride. She was attired in a black AC/DC shirt with dark red font for the logo. Underneath was Angus rocking out with the devil horns on his forehead. Worn jeans tailored to fit her long legs ended at the top of Converse All Star sneakers that had a variety of colors all melded together. Her hair was hidden underneath that SWAT hat turned backwards. Yea, her Ma hated the way she dressed.

She glanced at her phone, the most recent voicemail saved in her inbox. He said he would be here soon, and she found herself peering off into the distance, as if willing that black H2 to appear. Only a moment later she realized what a dork she must look like, and turned around to look at the shop. It didn't really fit in with all the shoe stores and apparel shops that surrounded it. It looked much darker...and more interesting. She walked up to the front, manilla folders under arm, leaning over a bit to see if she could glance in the windows. The place didn't look occupied at all.

Ash pulled up in front of the store about five minutes after Dina had though he didn't know that at the time of course. Parking at one of the meters he reached across to the glovebox to pull out the car tag the marked the vehicle as a police vehicle. Not that he couldn't have afforded to pay the meter but he never kept change on him. The tag was hung from the rear view mirror and then he twisted around to grab the bag from the back floorboard before getting out of the car.

"Dina."

The girls name was called in that crisp accented voice as he came around the car towards her. Stepping up onto the sidewalk he unslung the bag from his shoulder and tossed it towards her. The shop was closed, but he could feel the energy of beings within and was sure they were there. And Llydia. She was there too in her way. Moving up beside Dina he looked over the old fashioned wooden door. Up at the top there was a hook and a bellpull just like something you would see in the Victorian era. Pale fingers grabbed the thick metal pull and gave it a tug, hearing the bells chime inside.

"I guess we'll see whose here."

Electric eyes glanced at the files she held, but he waited. All would be revealed soon enough.

Sera was just in awe. Nothing like that happened in Salem. There was one man who had wanted an enhancer for well, Sera just wasn't going to think about that guy. Sera climbed back down the stairs after checking on her apple pie. The bells were chiming. She almost went back upstairs and remembered it was the front door of the shop. Her aura banged at the top of that metaphorical box. It wanted out. Just a trickle, just a little bit of her energy was released. Caressing over Tommy, and bathing him in heat. With a mind of its own it headed for the door. To caress the beast behind those silver shields. Sera paused. Her hand inches from the door. What lay behind that door was a beast. A wolf in man's clothing.

The strength of him, the sheer power he possessed. Had her heart in her throat. Panic covered Sera in a cold sweat. Sera wanted to say a line from the three little pigs; 'Not by the hair of my chinny chin-chin'. She didn't want to open that door. And yet, her left hand was flipping the lock and her thumb pushed down at the latch letting him in. Green and gold flaked eyes were on those neon blue eyes.

"T-t-they are in the back. I-I'll show you."

The fear coated Sera, and she knew she should control her phobia for wolves. There was two in her shop now! Two! The girl that came in with the Ulfric was... was human. Sera walked to the back. To that inner sanctum of Blaise and Wendy. Guiding them to the back. Opening the large wooden door. Calling out to Blaise and Wendy.

"Ash Redfern is here."

As soon as Ash and Blaise said their hellos. Sera offered to brew some herbal tea, and when she could leave she would wanting to get away from the wolves as fast as she could.

Dina caught the backpack no problem, giving him a nod. "T'anks. Sorry I left it." She told him as she slid the straps over her shoulders before moving to the wooden door. Her brow quirked at the bell. Quaint.

The 6'2 girl stepped into the shop, giving the lady who opened the door an uncertain smile. Wow, she sounded as nervous as Dina felt. She followed her into the depths of the shop, barely having time to look around. Bahamas-clear water blues took in as much as she could in the walk, however. Potions and concoctions stared back at her, and she wanted to see more. All too soon they came to a wooden door that she passed through, the woman calling out to two women, Blaise and Wendy.

Dina moved inward, very secure in the fact that Mr. Redfern was near as she looked upon the Jade Statue. She walked around it, now after a day of thinking about it, she felt she was better able to take it in. The dark minute cracks were still present, and she reached out to touch one, jerking her hand back at the eery warmth it gave off. It was smooth so the cracks hadn't reached the surface...but she hadn't expected the stone to be warm to the touch. Eyes that matched that of the statue perfectly lifted to look upon the face, hoping with all her heart that the woman within would emerge safely from the ordeal. Oh yeah!

Dina turned and looked between the blond and the dark-haired one, holding out the files. She didn't know which one was Blaise, as she hadn't really been paying attention to anything except the statue for the past five minutes.

"Uh, 'i. 'm Dina...I got Blaise's voicemail. T'is is t'e reports from Corporal Keyes and Docter Suresh. I 'aven' read 'em yet..." She told them, handing them over before turning back to the statue. "It all 'appened in India. But t'at's all in t'e reports..." Dina told them, before moving to a chair to sit down. Hand reached up idly to play with the braid on the leather strap around her neck. Locks of hair, from Llidya and Connor, her own twin brother. She looked to Mr. Redfern with that uncertain smile again.

"Was she a good person? I know she was a cop an' all...I mean I've read'r file an' all...but I don' know 'bout her frien's'r not'in. She never really 'ad any frien's, s'far as I knew." Dina shut her mouth, lowering her gaze. All she had were stories, newspaper clippings and copies of files to piece together her life. Lips pressed together firmly as she berated herself for not being able to articulate what she meant, or more precisely, what she felt.

That wolf of hers lifted it's head and stretched out, standing slowly and carefully. It let out an irritated growl, as it saw it was in the same predicament it had been when it had been forced into sleep. It started to limp around the translucent green encircled cage, leaning against the material as it went.

Llidya woke up with a start, looking around her little world of tunnel vision, trying to gauge the situation.

Where the hell was she now? Was that rosemary she smelled?

Movement caught her attention, but she had to wait for who or whatever it was to cross over her line of sight. Suddenly the smell of the Scottish Highlands filled her senses and she grinned inwardly. Then there was a girl standing before her, peering at her with eyes that matched her own. Holy shyte. Was that Dina? She was eight years old the last time Llidya had even a glimpse of her. She watched her jerk her hand back in surprise after touching her arm. Damn, what a way to meet her again.

Then she turned away, handing off some folders she had in her hand. The reports of DK and Suresh. And then it clicked. She was in some basement of a witch's house! That had to be it. That's why there was a kettle looking thingy over there, and herbs hanging from the wall, and what she seriously thought was a monkey's claw perched on the table. She didn't want to know. She watched Dina walk out of her small range of vision, and watched one of the strangers flip open the files. Great, she was finally going to get somewhere. But why hadn't Dina brought the book?

And this is where fate comes into play.  Or should we say ... Chance, in more ways than one.

Tinkling of bell would resound through the shop that a stray customer happened to come wandering in.  Chance had used up the last of some herbs on Beltane and needed a few others, so decided this would be as good of a place as any.  She had heard good things about the shop, so why not?  She honestly didn't want to try an order the herbs off line, but two were so hard to get.

Flip flops made soft sounds as she made her way further inside, delicate digits running through the unnatural auburn hair, the lights catching the glimmer of fire in the brown strands, the shimmer like a form a glamour on its own.  An exhale of air given, liquid topaz eyes scanning the shelves as she slowed her pace, trying to take everything in.  She had heard some voices towards the back, but ignored them for now, more interested in the statues of various idols, fingers skimming over the tops of them.  Shields were semi open, allowing the fragrence of spring time woods to linger about her, giving off that preternatural feel.

A tug of something spiritual was in the back of her mind, though it went unnoticed for now, her interest in the oils she just spotted.  "Ohhhhh...."  There was bats blood!  Plucking up a vial, teeth drug across bottom lip impishly as she side stepped towards some herbs, nose crinkling up at the mixed smells, always enjoying it.

Tommy was beginning to feel like something was very wrong in paradise. Strange things were afoot at the Circle K. Statues with people stuck in them, the police calling to talk to them, magical ink and tattoos to be had. Stuff was just going nuts. Salem had been so quiet compared to their first weeks here. He sort of missed that stillness. Ash had come in with a young woman and Sera showed them to the back which he assumed had something to do with that statue. Curiouser and curiouser. He was proud of Sera for overcoming her fear of wolves as she walked bravely back to the workshop with the Ulfric. Even if she did come back out and go to the kitchen rather quickly.

He
stuck to the back wall of the store, unpacking things from the tiny decorated boxes that Wendy put her potions in when she was finished with them. Never in his life had he seen a woman who liked to decorate so much. When she finished her potions she put the colored chrystal decanters into shoeboxes that were decorated with glitter and ribbons and color coded so he knew where to stock them. It must have taken her time, but at least it gave him something to look at while he worked. The adjustment between grifting and shop worker was wierd for him. Oh he still kept his hand in from time to time. Running short cons at the tracks, doing short change tricks at the gas station, or just playing the monte with Sera in bed at night. Difference was he didn't do it to make a living anymore, just to keep spry on his skills in case he needed them one day. As he worked he looked at the fancy labels on the bottles, shaking his head as he thought about men who bought 'enlarging potion'. To each their own.

When a women came into the store and started looking around he had a bit of a start. They weren't really open for business yet so she was the first 'customer'. Even though they weren't open yet he was sure Sera wouldn't mind helping the woman. Setting the shoebox down on the shelf he was stocking Tommy walked over to the woman. Now that he was with Sera he had gotten more comfortable around women. Well, more than in the old days. Sera had managed to take away alot of the fears that Kim had given him.

"Hi. Can I help you find anything? Or are you just browsing? We have some uhhh baskets up at the front if you need one."

The baskets in question were decorated by Blaise and Wendy as well. Reed baskets with trinkets and charms of prosperity hanging from the handle. Tommy often wondered if the charms were actually okay as a business practice since it seemed to be a bit like pushing a sale on a customer, but he didn't say anything. The baskets looked cute at least. As he got close to her he felt power coming off her, but couldn't tell what she was. Tommy lived around witches, but he wouldn't know one from Adam just on first meeting. Being curious he just had to know.

"What are you?"

If he had known on instinct what she was then he would have taken her to the back room almost immediately and probably made the girl think he was nuts. But it was really such perfect timing on her part to show up just as they needed another witch. Providence? Or Blaise and Wendys amazingly effective charms? Who knew.

Chance blinked at the sound of a voice behind her.  A bit startled, amber eyes widened up as she spun around, hair whipsing about her face as hand flew to her heart.  "Crap!  Sorry... you scared me."  Tinkling laughter heard as hand moved to brush the strands away from her face, a smile broadening.  Eyes swept over the male, observation something that Chance excelled in, taking in everything about him.  Head canted a touch as she glanced towards the front where the baskets were then back to the male.  "Oh, uhm, well.  Heh."  Jean clad form rocked back on heels as she debated on asking.

"Happen to have Bella Donna or Orchid Root?"  Both extremely poisonous, but both were also impertinant to certian spells that she wanted to learn.  Lips puckered up as she chewed on the inside of her cheek, then sighed slightly.  "Probably not, huh?"

When he outrightly asked what she was, shields slammed up on instinct, though it didn't do much good since he already picked up on it.  She stared at him in silent debate on whether or not she wanted to spill what she was, but she was proud of it.  Especially where her lineage was from.

"Female, the last I checked."  A snicker, more to her own joke than anything, but cleared her throat, not to sure how well that little quip had gone over.  "A witch..."  But she left it at that.  No need to explain where the other power came from.  The one that helped her, that made her prettier, more noticable.  "Is it that bad?"

Eyes blinked twice when he felt her shields slam into place and he almost took a step back. Hand reached up to scratch at the back of his head in a nervous gesture. Shaggy brown and blonde hair being disheveled by the movement. As she explained that she was female his brows raised slightly since of course that was obvious. Not that he was looking of course. And when she said she was a witch he nodded. Around Thirteen Moons that was normal.

"We have a Harmon on staff."

Tommy mentioned it only because the Harmons, or Hearth-Women as he had heard them referred to were one of the most well known families in the witch community. With his time in the preternatural world he'd learned more than he wanted to about that stuff. At the products she'd asked for he wiped his palms on the scruffy ripped up jeans he was wearing before pointing back up front.

"We keep that kind of stuff locked up in the front and some in the back room. I can get some of it for you, or if you want you can just follow me and look for yourself in case you want anything else."

That kind of stuff was more expensive but she was probably used to that. Heading towards the back room he heard her following. A soft knock was given to the door as he heard Ash, Dina, and Blaise talking inside. Opening the door he peeked in to make sure nothing too crazy was going on. Then he opened the door and went down the few stairs to the work room Blaise and Wendy shared. It was getting crowded in here with three witches now, an Ulfric, a human, and a were-rat. Lots of energy swirling around that made his little white rat quiver. Oh, and of course the 6'2" jade statue with a live human trapped inside it. How could he forget that. He wondered if this new witch would notice anything about the statue.

"Wendy this lady needs Belladonna and....... what was it?"

Safety glasses back in place. 'Safety first'. Was Wendy's motto. Aside from other things like 'Love is all you need' the Beetles had it so right when they wrote that. The glasses made Wendy look like some bubbly version of a college professor. Her smarts were high enough to be one if she so wanted. It was more fun doing the local weather and playing fairy god-mother to Hawaii. Periwinkle blue eyes turned to Blaise listening to her. Then to Mr. Ash Redfern. Tall, dark and brooding. Hey he was still sexy in that tattooed way. Wendy liked her men a little darker and more on the grizzly side. Peeking around Miss Jade Statue to peer at Tommy. Long lashes gave a few blinks listening to him.

"Belladonna?"

Wendy knew what that herb did. It was poisonous if you used to much. Could kill a man pretty easy and nearly untraceable. Otherwise it helped relax a person and ease them better into sleep. The glass cabinet they had in the back was walked over to. An old fashion key was plucked and slipped in the lock. Just a little flare of magic to disarm the spells Blaise put on the iron hinges. Could never be too careful these days.

"Belladonna and what else?"

Peering at the woman behind her glasses. A smile curved over pink petal lips.

A roll of the browns was given as the male turned his back to her.  Yeah, that joke went over like a fart in church.  Good one, Chance.  Mental thumbs up as she eased open her shields, not liking to remain shut tighter than a frogs ass at high tide.  She liked to know what was around her.  Eyes roamed through the place as she followed the male, much like a puppy dog, though curiosity killed the cat, and unfortunantly, Chance tended to get herself into trouble when curiosity got to the better of her.

When they cleared the door to the back room, Chance's breath hitched, almost taken from her.  The power that radiated there was overwhelming.  Lashes fluttered as she tried to gain her bearings, hand instinctfully reaching out to stable her, touching the cool side of a wall.  Clearing her head, hearing a petite blond like Barbie Doll ask her a question, glazed eyes came back into focus, she shook her head and cleared her throat softly.  "Orchid root..."

Words whispered as she spotted the statue, brows furrowing as she immediately stepped towards it.  "Where did you get this?"  Voice held awe and yet, a hint of fear, because she felt the power radiating around it, knew things like this did not just 'exist', they were created, and not in the world of now.  Someone got fucked without the courtesy of a damn reach around.
