Home from work a little early for a lunch date with Memphis before he head to head out to the Lounge and she had to be back on the job. It was just perfect timing to find the package she had ordered from France found with the help of a good friend. She had gifts for not only her winter eyes wolf man, but for the man who had become more family to her then her own flesh and blood had been when she was growing up. Sneaking in to Ash's room was easy enough with the house quiet, most everyone was off at work or hanging around the pool. The letter she had written a few days ago, hidden in the pages of her journal till it was time to leave it where the Ulfric could find it.
The package that had arrived was un wrapped, leaving just a plain wooden slat crate with pale packing straw peeking out from between each board. On top of the closed box she laid the book, some of her favorite works of poetry, in hopes Ash would share the appreciation for each work of literature. The year of print 1817. Last thing she left on the foot of the bed was the short letter she had written, folded and was sealed shut by a wake mark.
Don't know how to start this letter. Saying Dear Ash just sounds to impersonal. and a bit corny. I owe you so much Ash, You and the pack,... but you most of all. If you had not accepted me then I would never have become part of this family. You don't know how much that word means to me. I have not been part of a family since I was 9 years old. I have forgotten what it all means and trying to relearn how to fit in to one. See... when I turned nine was with things started to get strange. Raising the dead was something my father did not understand. I was sent to boarding school, spent all of three months with my family each year feeling more like a guest in my own bedroom then a resident. My brother was the only one who really stuck by me, but what brother wants his little freak of a baby sister playing tag along with him and his friends?
He did what he could and losing him nearly killed me. Coming to Salem and being taken in by You, Silent and the rest of the pack gave me something that I thought I would never have. A family, people who I could turn to when I could not handle the world on my own. You have ben a friend, a brother, and at times even more of a father then my own has ever been to me and your one hell of a partner. I am sorry, for hurting you, and Evie, and Sil and everyone. Love you Ash.
Kota.
