Another Call To Doctor Bree Hayes
Permalink Closed

Ash had been paying the exorbitant prices for Anna Marie's therapy without a worry. He could tell the young wolf was happier and that was all that mattered. Money came and went but Annas happiness was priceless. When Alex had come to him with some problems to do with her own set of crazy Ash decided to give Miss Hayes a call. It was nighttime by the time he and Alex got home from their walk on the beach so the office was closed which he expected, and so he left a message.

"Miss Hayes this is Marshall Redfern. I have another client I'd like to send to you. I'd like to get her in for an appointment as soon as possible. If you can shift some things around that would be wonderful. You can send the bill to the same address."

One of these days the two of them would meet and Ash would get to see the woman who was tinkering around in his wolfs mind. Not really knowing why he had trusted her and continued to do so. Here was hoping that she would prove to deserve that trust in time.

Morning, quite possibly the calmest time of the day. Not even the dead of night could compete with the sense of tranquility that lingered over the world in the early hour just after sunrise. As was was her habit by now, Bree was drinking tea by the pool. The water shimmering a brilliant azure in the pale light. The loud whispering of the ocean and the song of birds waking up to greet the day, her only companions.  That and Stephanie. Bree was positive the woman never slept, or maybe she just liked her job that much. But Bree knew better, and as the human came shuffling onto the tiled patio, Bree lowered her cup and held out an apple to her assistant, smiling as brilliantly as the sun while Stephanie consumed her daily treat. An apple a day kept the doctor away as the saying went, or in some cases the doctor put a spell on the fruit. A fae trick from before time was time. It kept people lenient and relaxed, and most importantly obedient.  "So...messages?"

As always it took Stephanie a few moments to sort through the pink pieces of paper. Something about needing them in a certain order that made sense to Stephanie and Stephanie alone. Bree was content to sit back and sip her drink while her assistant listed all the messages. Majority were the usual "Call me I need to talk to you NOW." "I'm having a crisis can you see me right away." And so on and so forth till one peeked her interest. Reaching out, Bree took the offered message slip and red it over. Another one from Ash Redfern. The Sidhe smiled, her lips curving upward in a way that had Stephanie beaming too.  "Stephanie darling, I believe I had scheduled a couple of hours free this afternoon to go shopping...Call Mr. Redfern back and let him know that even though it is last minute, I had to move some things around and can see this person at two o'clock today. Say something to stress the point that if it were anyone else asking they'd have had to wait...or something along the lines."

Stephanie beamed as she walked away, no doubt already thinking of the perfect thing to say. Seeing how she had plenty of practice being Bree's mouth piece by now.
