Silent was trying to spend more time at the pack house...And less time away. And while she hadn't fully moved in again yet...She had spending every moment that she wasnt working on the Molly or at the hookah...Were spent here in the pack house.Spent curled up with Dakota....Telling her about everything. From stories about Bryce to the most random things. While yes their relationship was still one that the two were trying to rebuild....It was something Silent clung to.
Ash had said that the pack needed her....Well she needed the pack...Now more then ever. Between the recent events and Sophies words...Silent was finding herself clinging to any brief chance of a moments happiness.Today she was finding in the overly wet kisses from her three kids. Sati...Ugly...And La Fiete.Their whimpers and whines had the swamp wolf wiggling and yalping with them....Even Bryce managed to find a reason not to say anything.
Making her way from the family room she went towards the kitchen the sound of nails clicking against polished wooden floors as the trio of pups followed in her wake.Sooo what to do.....Noone was home...At least...Not that she had seen...So pulling the silver flask of the capt's brew she would take a sip before working on some of the moose steaks that he had sent home with her that moring. Tossing a few chunks to the bright eyed and bushy tailed pups....
Looking at the trio Silent was starting to notice how big the small black swamp wolf was getting...And how it was keeping those steelie grey eyes...Maybe it was time to talk to the capt....See about getting a small doe....Take her natural wolf pups out for a run. Get Lafite ready to run with the pack like Sati did.
Alex had finally woken up, finding Coyote's side of the bed cool, but his scent still clinging to the sheets and pillows. Sitting up, she yawned, pushing rumpled blond strands away from her face, as her body finally rolled out of bed. Wiggling into a pair of purple, flannel pj pants and a blue tshirt that sported a winter scene and a howling wolf, she padded barefoot out of her bedroom, and down the steps....She needed food....
A familar scent caught her nose, and she blinked....Silent was here?! Yay! Alex all but pranced into the kitchen, and pounced the lupa, arms curling around her waist as she snuck up from behind, and nuzzled her cheek.
"You were gone to long, momma...."
True....Silent and Alex wern't exactly friends....but Silent was her Lupa...she took care of her when she was hurt....and as Alex was loyal to Ash...she was loyal to Silent as well. All past aside...Alex would never belive that Silent had left Coyote, Mahina and Dakota to fend for themselves. Never had and never would. That was all there was to it.
Silent was lost in her thoughts....That was sure. She hadn't even smelt her favorite piece of trailer park trash coming her way..So when that voice that was so high pitched (at least to Silent) came screeching in the kitchen....Silent would jump some...Those Tri colored hues moving over the blond...Who also happened to smell of Coyote..A smell that brought a frown to her lips...She had yet to see him....
Silent believed he was gonna be on the hard side of people to see....This had been the second time she hadn't been there for him. Despite her promises of always taking care of him and watching over him. Yet he had managed to get hurt in New Orleans by his old ulfric...And now here in Hawaii where he almost met his end. Damn she really needed to find him. And prey that he wasnt one of those who truely believed that she had just abandoned him and the rest of the pack.
"Yea...I had one of those damn hair removal sessions....It just seemed to take those women forever.before they gave up and kicked me out of the shop. "
A joke? Not the best time to use it. Moving to give the she wolf a hug she would kiss her cheek.
"Yea Im getting there.Though Bryce isnt helping me much...Damn man is just as bad in death as he was in life."
A smile, and a soft laugh, nothing like the high pitched and annoying cackle she had in Nawlins. Even her speaking voice had toned down. Maturity comming with age, as well as events. Though when someone knows you one way, it was hard to change that perception sometimes.
"Always wished i could have met him...the way the rest of you talked about him...He sounded like he was more fit for the job then Eric was...."
Yes, she'd followed Eric, but only because she hadn't known any better. And then in Santa Fe, he'd screwed her over agian. So...Oh well. Thumping into the chair, she watched her Lupa for a few minutes. Contemplateing...then quietly...
"...Coyote's at work....just fair warning...it's gonna take a really good explination...and a really good apology for him to be ok with you again.."
Quiet again for a moment, she reached down, scratching at the pup's ears that had wandered over to sniff at her..
"....I know you had your reasons...and I know you'd never leave any of us like that if you had a choice...and I'll say it to anyone that thinks otherwise..."
Everyone deserves a explanation to why or whats..But once again...She really wasnt sure how to explain it...Telling Kota...Telling Ash...She was able to do it in her own way,,Completely chaotic. So how could she tone it down so she could explain it to everyone else? Well time would tell.
Snorting at her comment.
" Eric wouldnt be fit to lead a flock of doe doe birds. He had no place trying to take what wasnt his. Bryce didnt even think he was good enough to be his second....Cesco should of took the pack...God knows he would of done us all good...He always took care of me."
Hell Silent believed Tino would of made a better ulfric then Eric could...But then again after several times of being beaten within inches of death by Eric....Silent would of picked Myc....And did pick him to lead her into the depth of hell.
"I wish you had gotten to meet him ya know. He even had Myc's respect. It hurt when he died. I used to feel like part of me did with him."
Shaking her head she would reach for the stainless steel flask in her back pocket. Sipping from that sickly sweet liquid. Before looking to Alex....She would nod. Working? Was he still running the hookah?Did he have that same avoidance that Mahina did?
"I know. And he'll get his answers too....But Im not sure he'll be happy with them."
Winced when Cesco was mentioned. Head lowering and eye's looking away, seeming to be very interested in the floor then.
"I don't know if I'd have survived very long in New Orleans, if Cesco had been the ulfric...."
Cesco had never liked Alex...usually yelling at her, even when she was trying to be helpful. Even after helping him and Chuyler heal after they were hurt...she got yelled at for scaring the omega. Shakeing her head, she nodded to her question about Coyote.
"I assume so..he smells like Curry every night when he comes home..."
She listend about Bryce, and a small smile was on her lips...nodding her head after a moment.
"No....Ash is much fairer the Bryce ever could be. He was more man then wolf. Ash is the better ulfric honestly....The best Ive had. "
She would smirk some.Mostly because of that voice in her head...Who felt it needful to let her know exactly what he thought...Wincing some she would try and block his voice and visions out of her head. She wasnt able to control him....But for a few seconds she could ignore him.
"Cesco never would put his dislike for someone above his position...Hell he hated Myc...But was willing to help Skip get him into my loft. But...Not many knows what goes on in that beautiful head of his."
Did Silent love Cesco? Yea in a way. She loved him in the way you love your brother. Or someone who saved your ass so many times.Smiling some...At Alex's words her heart would beat a little faster. Made her heart soar some....Knowing that he kept things running there.
"He's a good guy....just...hurt and angry.....it'll take awhile but i bet you can make him come around.....i'll help if you want.."
She listened, and nodded, another little smile on her lips. Ash was a good ulfric....
"you both make me feel safe here...even when Lilth attacked the house....before i was even pack....i knew he wouldn't let me get hurt....neither of you will....and i belive that 100%....you proved that to me when i showed up, hurt and scared outta my head....thinking you were going to kick my ass....and you didn't..."
Anna had been in her own thoughts for the longest time. The idea of seeing someone who wasn't already considered a firend... telling them about her past made her feel. Very unsafe. But that seemed to be going around alot now a days. Anna kicked down at the board and poped it up, catching it in her left hand. Red brown orbs watched the ground as she walked towards the sliding glass door to go into the house. She needed to get some work done. By time now Anna probably had three essays to write, all having to do with the meaning of math. She leaned the board against the wall just beside the door and slid it open.... but paused. At first, she only heard two people speaking. Maybe she shouldn't interupt.
Anna took in a deep breath and let a sigh out as she steppe dinto the house, skipping past the chatter towards the living room. That sounded like the woman she met a little while ago. Anna stopped and slowly, silently creeped towards the side of the door and peeped around the corner. It was! The.... er... Lupa? Why were they talking about Ash?
Anna shoved her hands into her pockets and leaned against the wall with her eyes down at those black shetchers. Then to the two wholes in her knee's. Man did she need to get a new pair of pants...
"He has every right to be....And I hope I can patch things over...But I dont know. Not any more."
Silent would frown some before turning back to the food she had frying. Everything was just so damn confusing....She still didnt know what was up...Or down. She had so many things weighing down on her and she just didnt think she could fight them all. But when she brought up Lilth's attacks on the pack house that frown became deeper...She should of been here for that...For the mess that had happened. But once again she wasnt. She wasnt here for anything....Wasnt she just the best Lupa ever?..No.
" Well Im happy you've found a place where you feel safe...And at least we know Ash will always protect his pack...Unlike Eric and that bitch wolf you followed from Vegas"
Sniffing some she would catch the scent of the little skate boarder she had met earilier that day...
Alex looked to the door, seeing Anna, and gave a little smile, then looked back to Silent
"Bailey wasn't that bad....She was better then the ulfric that was already in Santa Fe...stronger...just...when it came to vampires...she wasn't ready..she hated them to much....and in the end..she couldn't keep us safe..."
Alex looked thoughtful for a few moments.
"....she'd make a good Geri or Freki...if she can ever forgive herself for what happend to us in Santa Fe...."
She left it at that, sneaking over to snag a peice of what Silent was frying up. Then grinned and darted back tot eh table before she could get whapped.
Okay she couldn't keep up with the conversation now... Something about attacks and sadness. God did that ever sound familiar. So... Hawaii wasn't the best place to come to. but... there was more then just a few people here to help her with. Waiting now for that call. What questions would she be asked? Would Anna actually be able to avoid them when she really just wanted help from someone like her. Would the woman she's going to see a wolf? Would she understand where Anna was coming from?
"It's not nice to ease drop." Anna's heart froze. How'd she... ? Dur. Anna took in her bottem lip and bit hard. Slowly, she sliding her back dow against the wall into a sit, knee's against her chest. Silent sounded like a woman she should get to know... but with so much sadness and pain going on around... would that be a good idea? Anna took in a deep breath. And unlike her, that new born beast creeped around the wall with a rock of curiousity on it's shoulder. Nose sniffed the air, then at the floor before it lowered its self to it's belly with ears perked high.
Anna closed her eyes and tilted her head back. Thinking back to whe she first met Rylee. At first they thought they liked each other... but it's turned out to be a BFF thing. Back to when Jacklin seemed like a good gal, the bench, the late nights, the cuts, bruses, and.... Anna nearly jumped at the thought of Jacklin ripping into her skin. Tired trembly legs pushed up from her sitting perch o the floor and slipped to peek around the corner again. Watching Silent with that same curiousity as her beast.
